Ouch. Mixed review. Booked one night. Clean, excellent club level room, in-hotel restaurant was exceptional. No concerns, perfect. Checked out at about 6.30 the following morning for a meeting, bill in hand. Found out after about 4 hours we'd need to stay another night. Back we go. Ask for a room and are told "we haven't checked you out yet you can have that room back" fine, didn't need it cleaned we didn't make a mess. Went down to in-hotel restaurant for dinner. Why not, the night before was perfect. We both had soup. Husband had Vidalia onion. His was cold. The cheese on top was so hard he had to use a knife and fork on a napkin to cut it. Entree. He ordered a chicken sandwich. I ordered ravioli with mushroom sauce. How easy can it be? They were out of mushroom sauce. No biggie I had them do marinara as per their suggestion. My husband can recommend the chicken sandwich. I cannot however recommend the ravioli. First attempt it came up stone cold. I asked them just to zap it in the microwave — hey — customer trying to make their lives easy. I think their microwave must be broken as after 25 minutes of waiting I'd had enough so I politely explained the issue and also mentioned my Husbands soup too. My entree was off the bill but they felt the need to bill my Husband for his rock hard cheese and onion soup. I let it go. Checking out the next morning we are told they can't check us out as the people in our room are staying for 23 nights and we must have the wrong room number. We gave our name and after a few minutes she began to believe us. After she checks with someone else to clear this up she comes back and says "hopefully" we won't get billed for the 23 nights. I assured her we wouldn't as at no time did a meeting at 12.15 that day constitute a 23 night stay. Fast forward to 2 hours ago when I checked online banking. Lovely. A pending charge for $1758.33 for Renaissance. I called Renaissance and keep getting sent to a message system. I get a human again and asked to speak to a human as this is rather important. Told to leave a message. I called my banks fraud line. They don't know what on earth Renaissance have been doing as they tried to debit my account since we checked out $305, then a $50, then a $1347 and then the $1758 today. My bank have no idea what the idiots are doing. Do I sound angry? Indeed I do. Ineptitude at it's finest. So, in short, hotel clean, room clean and well stocked, restaurant, well it depends on the night or maybe the phase of the moon as to whether you get a decent meal or just frustration on a plate, billing/charges to your card/bank account — oh yes, expect the worse and if you get better it's a bonus. Still trying to sort it out. I'm giving them a 1 star as while the hotel was nice I am hissing mad about the last dinner and them playing constantly with my bank account.
