Amazing! You have to see for yourself! So kind. My car broke down near here and I was super lucky to find kind people and a relaxing place to stay.

The peace and quiet, the beautiful countryside, spacious rooms, and most definitely the breakfast Jeffrey cooks! We’ve been here before and we’ll definitely be back.

Everything about our recent stay at the Grandview Lodge was commendable. Check-in was easy and we had a nice, clean, quiet room with super fluffy towels. The commons area of the lodge is like a museum in itself with so many beautiful things to see — gems, history, artwork, games, etc. Then the breakfast… oh, breakfast. The fresh-pressed apple juice was phenomenal. And we were lucky enough to be there on a day when Wagyu beef was served — talk about a unique delicacy! In a time when traveling can be especially stressful, the Delannoys go above and beyond to provide a positive experience. They are obviously passionate about what they do and put a lot of love and care into the details, from the upkeep of the rooms to preparation of the freshest meals. We can't wait to visit again. ♥️

Our second visit here although it’s been awhile. The room is as we remember, quaint and clean. The new owners (since our previous visit), are gracious and delightful. The decor is great and we plan to come back soon.

I only spent one night here, but I will be back again. Great atmosphere, rooms and the breakfast was excellent.

I can't say enough about how great this place is! Beautiful rooms throughout. And a WONDERFUL breakfast. The dining room has several tables, where you can choose to interact with others or just be by yourself. We'll be going back as often as we can.

Enjoyed our stay at this rustic Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable and provided a good nights sleep. The delicious farm to table breakfast made the stay all worthwhile. From the fresh pressed apple juice, home grown shiitake mushrooms, to the homemade sausage, one bite was better than the next!

Convieniently located near everything you could want in a trip to the mountains, Grandview Lodge is old, quirky, has lots of personality (the shower was pink and the toilet was green if that gives you a clue as to the age of the place), and while it is naturally going to be a little rough around the edges, it's been well maintained and worth checking out. The rooms are quaint, the beds are comfy, and it's run by two of the most friendly people in the business. They also provide a complimentary breakfast that's good enough to write home about (seriously, it's freaking amazing). While they are pet friendly, they do have some rooms in which no pets are allowed, which is good for people with pet allergies. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Wonderful relaxing stay! Stayed in one of the rooms in the row of rooms behind and connected to the main house. Each of these rooms shares a front porch/walkway that faces the yard and parking area. Very restful night and impressive breakfast. Host was very friendly and helpful with local eateries. The main house has an inviting wrap around front porch with views of the mountainside.

Beautiful, gorgeous bed and breakfast. We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. We were in the Gustave Julia room, which was unique and beautiful — and quite large. Staff was very friendly. We are from Wisconsin and had grits 3 or 4 times while in the South. Let me tell you, this was the ONLY place that made them taste good. :) We highly recommend this place and can't believe that it is no more expensive than your run-of-the-mill chain hotel with blah decor and blah breakfast.

Wow! What an amazing stay. I am from the city so being able to get away and relax in the mountains was so refreshing. Jeffrey and Breanna were so courteous and helpful and made my husband and I feel so welcome. The grounds were well kept, the food was delicious and the rooms were clean. Lots of board games available, beautiful pictures and portraits, gems and geodes on display, a perfect patio for sitting and eating. Definitely coming back!

I really like the room and stay. It was refreshing compared to staying at a commercial motel/hotel with the constant heat pump noise and road traffic noise. We have not had breakfast yet but looking forward to it. Went down to get a cup of coffee before 8 am and he was busy getting everything ready. Breakfast is 8:30 to 9:30. Therefore not able to rate it but it looked like a spread for a king and queen. I would definitely stay again. We enjoy Waynesville and the mountains.

It is an excellent stay unlike most stays I have been too. Very unique amtosphere, nice indivudual rooms. Every one ist decorated differntly. Very good breakfast with real silverware and plates! Very friendly and knowlegdeable host who will provide you with a lot of information on the area. I definetly recommend to spent at least one night there!

The 4.6 rating seems generous. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I liked how they took the time to describe all the best dining choices in the area. The breakfast was great, nearly gourmet quality. The room was clean, but the shower faucet leaked badly. The dripping noise was keeping me up at night until I closed the shower door. The room was small. I observed some other maintenance issues on the property, such as rotted wood on the railings. This B&B is located in a neighborhood with some junk and old cars in the yards, not exactly a "Grand view".

Although there are not really any grandview's, this is a wonderful place to stay to visit the nearby surrounding areas. The host of Grand View Lodge is excellent at what he does. We felt as welcome as family and were treated as such. There are a ton of things to see nearby so this is a great home base if you're visiting the area.

My husband and I stayed here last week. The room was so comfortable. The staff was so great! The room was very cozy, comfortable, and clean! Convenient, reasonably priced! We will definitely stay here again.

The owner was friendly and helpful; however, this lodge looks as if it has not been updated in many years. I felt so uncomfortable in the bed with very old-looking sheets that I slept in my clothes. Area around and on the property has junk around; not nice surroundings. Very over-priced for what you get. Beware.

What a great find. The hosts Jeffery and Bree we excellent hosts and kept a warm a cozy place. Breakfast was awesome and the biscuits and gravy were the best I've ever had. Highly recommend to anyone that will be in the Maggie Valley, Asheville area. You will be glad you did.

My husband and I stayed here right after Thanksgiving one year. It was a very relaxing experience. The owners are a very nice couple. They were helpful and informative. The breakfast is one that I have since dreamt of! Fresh and local! The room we stayed in was "The Balsam". It was very clean, especially the bathroom! The room features a small refrigerator which was very helpful to keep our drinks chilled. We look forward to returning for another visit!

The owners are amazing. We showed up past check in due to traffic. The first thing the owner asked after greeting me was "have you eaten dinner I have some recommendations ". Breakfast is amazing.

We usually stay in Maggie Valley but needed a place to stay that was pet friendly. We found Grandview Lodge — very charming, liked the fireplace heater in the bedroom and the personal touches, great breakfast which was included, friendly staff.

We were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon this gem. The management was incredibly friendly and the accommodations were exceptional for the price. The farm to table breakfast, included with our stay was also fantastic!

Jeff was an incredible host. The beds were super comfy. We loved the quaint and homey vibe. Gorgeous views in the morning. Breakfast was spot on! All homemade and fresh! Best we'll have all week. :)

Lovely country setting, and the rooms are spacious. The decor is a mix of rustic and old furniture, some antiques. There is a fire pit for folks to enjoy. A few concerns — there were a few bugs in the bathroom — small roaches, and the temp in the room at night was on FREEZE! Too late in the evening to call the couple who own/run the place so I loaded up with extra blankets from the closer. The couple running the place seem to be making improvements in the grounds and around the property and have put their, "all " into this endeavor. I wish them great success!

Room was clean and comfortable had an antique feel. Which is what I look for in a bed and breakfast. Owner was very polite and good information about the area. Breakfast was a home cooked meal. Well worth the money.

This bed and breakfast is a hidden gem. Our host was wonderfully friendly and courteous. The lodge itself is an old beautifully restored building with rustic appeal. We had our puppy with us and they have three dedicated rooms that allow dogs which is great! Beds were comfortable and the views from the rooms were peaceful. Breakfast the next morning was home cooked by the owner with local grown food. Fresh pressed apple juice the evening before and eggs, sausage, and local jams and jellies. If we ever come back through Waynesville this is where we will stay. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing overnight stay on a road trip to stay here.

Awesome! Grandview Lodge exceeded my expectations in every category. I had been doing a LOT of International travel for business and was looking for a place to spend a few relaxing days with my fiancee. I wanted to find a place where there was plenty of things to do and see, but we could also just relax and enjoy a comfortable place, if that's what we wanted and needed. Jeffrey and Breanna were simply perfect hosts! I was coming up from Panama City, Florida and Julie was driving down from Virginia. I talked to Breanna, since I was going to be there a little bit early and she said, "No problem. I'll make sure your room is ready for you! " Julie arrived a couple hours later and we stayed in the Gustave-Julia room, on the 2nd floor in the main house. The room was ideal. It was very clean and comfortable. The bedding was quite nice and comfortable with plenty of pillows and towels, an electric fireplace, Wi-Fi, etc… The house was built in the 1890's and Jeffrey was able to tell the whole story of the original build and the add-ons, renovations and uses that have taken place through the years. In fact, speaking of Jeffrey, I found it ideal that he wasn't pushing any stories, tales or suggestions on you, but was absolutely a wealth of knowledge when asked. One of the guests had asked about the house and his response showed that being an innkeeper is not just a job, it's a true passion.

Just got here and the owner, Jeff, was over the top friendly, very helpful getting settled. It felt like coming home. Love the atmosphere and can't wait for breakfast. I've got a feeling we'll regret only booking one night.

We love this B & B. Stayed last year and just booked for next year. The owner Jeffrey goes out of his way to be accommodating. Great breakfast and comfy quiet rooms. On Saturday night a chef comes in and cooks traditional Tuscan fare. Feels like home without my having to do anything but relax.

This was such a nice, cozy place. The accommodations were excellent, room was comfy and homey. The atmosphere was relaxed. The breakfast was fantastic, made from local products. The owners were so nice and very helpful. We would absolutely come and stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience Jeff and Breanna. We loved it.

Another great stay with Jeff and his family at the Grandview Lodge. As always, the breakfast was delicious and the grounds very accommodating to traveling with pets.

We came a few weeks ago for a funeral. A member of the family suggested Grandview Lodge and we loved it. While it is rustic it is well maintained and the owners are super friendly. They prepared a fantastic breakfast both mornings; we stayed two nights. It had recently snowed and the fireplace was great. If you want excellent service at a good price and a nice room away from the highway and the hustle and bustle of motels, this is the place. We will be back when we can stay longer and enjoy the mountains.

This was my second time staying at the Grandview. We chose it because it is dog-friendly. They have a nice circle of chairs out in the yard, where one could build a fire, which would be very nice. I just chose to sit there while my wee doggy explored. People have mentioned the breakfast, and I concur. The egg souffle with cream sauce makes me wish my stomach were larger! The (homemade? ) jam is fabulous on the biscuits, and the cheesy-creamy grits are the best I've had anywhere. To me, it was worth going back the second time just to get the breakfast. They fresh-press their own apple juice! The owners are delightful and friendly. Five stars.

This place is amazing — Really friendly folks, tons of privacy. They have a huge wrap around porch with rocking chairs, darts and seating along the railing to just hang out. Really makes you feel like you just moved there and you're never going to want to leave! Amazing breakfast to boot.

Beautiful place — warm and welcoming. We were only able to stay one night but we enjoyed our short time very much. It is friendly and we enjoyed chatting with the owners and learning about the history of the lodge. WIll definitely stay here again and we recommend it to others. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable.

Just returned to Hickory after a three night stay at the Grandview. We just loved this B & B. Beautiful rustic charm, comfortable rooms and the owner is fantastic as well as his staff. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jeffrey was so accommodating with our needs and requests. I would highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

This was our first stay at a lodge or B&B. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfasts were wonderful, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The proprietors were friendly and were very helpful in giving information about local restaurants and activities. We will definitely return for another stay.

This was my first B&B experience. I loved my stay. The owners are very nice and have the place well kept and clean. Breakfast was delicious too. It's located in a very nice and relaxing area. My favorite part of the lodge is the reception-living room area. They have a nice collection of records to listen too and cool magazines. I will definitely be going back again.

Great rustic place with spacious rooms, stayed upstairs in the main lodge. Quiet peaceful setting and cool fresh air this time of year. Friendly owners who serve a great breakfast. Had great evening chats in the main room by the fireplace with other guests.

The Grandview Lodge was better then we expected. It was clean, linens were nice and the breakfast was awesome. Fresh pressed apple juice, homemade biscuits, cheese scrambled eggs and delicious breakfast bread made these gastronomic lovers very happy. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome including playing with our dogs. Jeffrey is the new owner and is quite interesting as he has traveled the world and had many life experiences to share! Waynesville, NC is a lovely town to visit and to pick a reasonably priced bed and breakfast with a casual lodge atmosphere then this is the place. Rooms are mid-range quality as this is an older lodge, but they are upgrading now under the new ownership.

I recently stayed at the cottage with my wife. The cottage was very roomy for 2 people, considering it will easily hold 6. I felt the overall value was great, but it was lacking in a few easy options to really put it over the top. This was my first bed and breakfast stay so I wasn't sure what to expect. I guess I expected more service. Some things I wish they had were: additional rocking chairs on the porch, hammocks for the yard, maybe a few rocker/gliders, cold drinks on ice for guests, maybe some type of sweet snack or welcome home treat like fresh cookies, a nice food grill area, and even a nighttime social with snacks and drinks. The idea of a B and B is to feel like home and it kind of missed the mark. I will say the cottage was very nice and the porch on the lodge was awesome.
