Let me start by saying this hotel staff was very friendly, rooms were very quiet and clean. Now for the meat of my review. I stayed here and paid for the room for two nights.
They ran my credit card the old fashioned way, with the machine that makes a physical copy of the card in ink on the bottom of the paperwork. When I asked them why they stated “ so you can’t say you were not here. ” They also stated they keep that copy for 6 months without explaining where they kept it safe. I explained that I wasn’t happy but there was nothing I could do to change it. This process leaves the door open for fraud and abuse of my credit card. So if any of you that stays there and reads this I would scrutinize your statements and if anything appears … this is where you should point the finger.
Also, I left after the first night and my co-worker stayed for the second night. When he checked out they refused to give him a final receipt because it wasn’t me even though I had asked them to do so before I left. They said ok then refused.

Stayed several times being broke down at work always pretty nice only thing the smoking rooms smell is out in hallway think they need to really do some better cleaning on that end I stayed on the south side away from that side also hotel literature n room says hotel has paper but it’s never n lobby used bee but they quit giving guests paper in mornings an breakfast is same everyday they rewarm up biscuits an rest of food for next day but hey it’s free I guess be grateful unless u wanna stay over two days lol.

I actually showed up here but had to cancel in person once I found out their internet was down. Not there fault, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time rather then finish a 5 hour drive only to have to find another hotel.

Quality Inn best kept secret West if Asheville. Great hospitality… comfortable rooms… central location. I will return and I will tell my family and friends about this jewel of a place!

Middle Eastern Owners were very rude and inhospitable. We arrived at 11:30am and asked if we could be checked in early, as we had been driving all night to get there and were exhausted. The male owner looked at the time and said "It's 11:30! You cannot check in until 2pm! " I again explained that we were exhausted and didn't want to have to drive around for another 2.5 hours and could he check to see if the room was ready early. He acted like he was looking at the computer (WITHOUT ASKING MY NAME, so how did he even check? ) and immediately said "No the people are still in the room. And the fire department is coming to inspect the smoke detectors in all of the rooms, so there is no way you can get in until 2pm". We left and called the YELLOW HOUSE ON PLOT CREEK RD. The owner Ken gave us a great deal on a TWO LEVEL suite with two fireplaces, a full spa bathroom, access to a Butlers kitchen for snacks and coffee whenever we wanted it, and a full hot made to order breakfast each morning. This suite was only $50 a night more than the quality inn which looked like a DUMP and we got a full cooked hot breakfast, not the premade cold rubbery junk at Quality Inn. Save yourself the aggravation and rudeness of the owners and stay somewhere else! Oh and when I called Quality Inn to cancel, only 20 MINUTES after they told me there was NO WAY I was checking in before 2pm, they THEN told me my room was ready and we could come back. What idiots and LIARS!

They were booked up when I called but the man I spoke with took the time to recommend that we drive through Asheville tonight to avoid major construction backups in the morning. Much appreciated!

The building its self needs updating. That being said the beds in the rooms are awesome. One of the best beds I have slept in.

This is the nicest choice hotel I have stayed in… I am a diamond member of choice hotels and stay in around 30 different hotels a year… this one is by far the best.

Very clean rooms & friendly staff. We were late to breakfast but it appeared there was a functional waffle maker & plenty of coffee and juice + yogurts. -1 star: the dining area was a complete mess when we stopped in for coffee but this did not have a negative impact on the quality of our room.

Good place to get rest, comfy beds, nice pillows and clean. Rooms could be updated. Breakfast could be upgraded somewhat but was okay. Friendly front desk staff.

Very clean and friendly staff. Asthma warning: very heavy air freshener used in the rooms. I would have given it 5 stars if I wasn't up all night coughing.

We stayed here for just one night to attend a wedding in October. It was a Saturday night so the hotel was pretty full, especially since other wedding guests were staying here as well. The rooms were a nice size and clean (Im always one to tear apart the bed, check the mattress and all that). The hotel its self was very clean as well and nicely decorated. The complimentry breakfast looks like the picture they have posted. The breakfast room can get a bit crowded on a Sunday morning (to be expected) but the staff was amazing and kept everything stocked and clean. There were a lot of options for breakfast so I'm sure everyone is able to find something they'd like. There are some quick eats right outside and a few more down the road. Not too far from Chestnut Ridge (where the wedding was). Would have loved to have had more time to explore the area but had to leave to get back to work that Monday. My only complaint would be that there is no elevator, not a big deal for us because we were only staying one night and didnt have a ton of luggage, plus the hotel only has 2 levels but would be a little annoying if we were staying for an extended time or stopped on the way to a week long vacation and had a ton of things. Also may be annoying for a larger family who has to worry about mutliple kids luggage, car seats, etc.

It's a little out of the way, but it's an excellent place. Clean, comfortable, safe and with easy access to the blueridge parkway. I would recommend.

It was a very good room with 2 beds and a bathroom but the bathroom light would twitch and was small. The bed sheets cover had blood but in all was good.

Hotel had bugs in the bathroom, the alarm clock didn't work, parking lot was full of ice. Bathroom was so small, the door almost touches the toilet when you open it. Check in computer system wasn't working when I checked in. Bed was comfortable.

If you need a place to sleep and everything is booked well… go for it. Loud in the room heater/air. Management leaves the outside doors open allowing the air to flow through the hallways and under your door/plus bugs looking for warmth. You get the idea.

Very kind front desk staff, polite, accomodating — turned a wrong we experienced into a right. Customer service gets an A+

No elevator and they don’t tell you that. So when you show up with a 60 lb bag and have to drag up the stairs: heads up. Also person at the front desk made a big deal out of us parking in the back and using the back entrance. Our room was just as close to the front as it was the back. So our long trek in the rain was unnecessary. Also the hallways don’t connect. So when you’re given incorrect info on what door to use and drag your giant bag up the stairs. Don’t be surprised when you have to drag it down the stairs, walk through the rain to the next hallway and start again. Rooms are decent and clean. Toilet has trouble flushing. We will see how the free breakfast is tomorrow. Edit: breakfast was ok for being free. Everything was really pale… pale eggs, pale sausage. In the light of day everything looks a lot older. Hallways and stairs are definitely in need of updates. Also the vent in our bathroom doesn’t work. So while the heat of the shower is amazing, you suffocate almost immediately.

Second-hand cigarette smoke in the corridors so thick it was like being in a bar. So much smoke it permeated our non-smoking room. Canceled our reservation and drove 40 miles to another hotel. If you like smoke, this is your place!

Rooms were clean but alittle out dated. The pillows were way to soft to where you had to use more than expected. When I asked them for extra pillows they said they were all out, mind you, the hotel was almost empty judging from the parking lot and it was a Monday, most of the customers had left after weekend. He gave me an extra comforter instead. The toilet in my room as well as a guest in another room were slow flushing even if you had There was also a noticable stain on the ceiling that look like there was a leak and tried to cover it up but did a poor job. Also, beware of charges, I booked my room in advance withe the breakdown of costs for each day, and they tried to charge me the weekend rate on a weekday. Save and check your receipts. I had to go to desk clerk manager to dispute the charge. He finally made the correction which was a $66 mistake. Also, who uses the old credit card imprint machine any more? They do! They say it is for incidentals, other hotels keep a card on file without the imprint machine. And they kept it in an accordion file at the front check in desk which is accessible to other customers. There is also no elevator which was unfortunate since I have a bad back and knees. The only redeeming asset was the free breakfast which included biscuits, country gravy, and fresh waffles you can make yourself but that is not enough for me to return to that hotel.

The room was clean. The breakfast was probably the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel. Everything was tasteless and there was barely room to move around when people were in there. Overall the stay was good except for the breakfast.

We LOVED the front desk lady, she was super nice and funny. The beds are also honestly THE MOST COMFORTABLE beds and pillows I've ever experienced in a hotel, even more than expensive resorts.

No Wi-Fi, cooling system shut off about 2am never turned cool again. Vent in bathroom didn’t work the light over the sink worked when it felt like it water pressure was very low and the toilet seat was very loose. The people in the room next to us kept hollering and banging up against the wall, People in the pool till well after 11pm screaming at others there. The contractors don’t know how to park there rigs taking up 6-8 spaces each. I don’t recommend this to anyone unless you like all that crap going on.

Clean rooms, free Wi-Fi worked great and was a huge plus, welcoming staff.

The staff make this place! The hotel and rooms have been recently updated. Some art work and furniture in breakfast area are a little dated, but over the hotel was nice, comfortable, and clean.

I headed out to the mountains for Independence Day weekend at the last minute and most campsites and hotels were booked or really expensive. Even being last minute, I was able to get a room here for about $100 a night, a good deal for the location and holiday weekend. The room was fine, nothing fancy, but good enough. They have breakfast in the morning with a few hot items, make-your-own waffles and a the usual muffins, pastries, etc. There's no elevator, so if you're on the second floor, you have to lug your luggage up the stairs. Overall, it was a fine stay and would consider staying here again, especially if everything else is full.

Great breakfast. Too cold so didn't try pool. Clean inside and out but odor outside possibly from neighboring location. Overall great experience in our 4 nights.

This is a nice place to stay that is not out of the way at all. Surrounded by plenty of good eats and quick shops for all needs while traveling. Staff was very helpful.

When I got there they were having a problem with the Internet so I had to wait to check-in. Then the key card wasn't working right. Had to correct it three times and it still was faulty. Breakfast was okay but they had the same thing the next morning also. Need a little more variety. The bed was very very comfortable. The room was clean except for a stray hair in the bathroom. The location was excellent.

Hotel is conveniently right off the exit but not so close that there is road noise from traffic. Room was clean and all of the hotel was recently renovated. The staff was very polite and welcoming and even gave me a discount the trip prior to this one because I had to wait for a few minutes due to a computer system malfunction even though I wasn't in a hurry. That's outstanding customer service!

Room was clean, price was cheaper than the places closer to Asheville. They had a pack and play for my son to sleep in. We went just south to downtown Canton for a nice dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was good too, biscuits, eggs, sausage, waffles, powder donuts, and all the continental regulars. No elevator to get to the second floor.

Hotel staff was not very friendly, rooms and hallways were hot. Beds were very clean and comfortable.

The front desk staff were very courteous and efficient. The room was comfortable and all of the furniture and fixtures were in good shape. The price is very reasonable considering how close the hotel is to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Affordable and clean. Bed very comfortable and the staff very efficient and friendly. The musty odor mentioned in a previous review was not there at all. We would definitely stay there again.

Be prepared to get what you pay for. My husband and I stayed here to be out of overpriced Asheville but still make our dinner reservation at The Grove easily. The rooms are definitely dated and the bathroom was extremely cramped and not cleaned as thoroughly as it could have been, but the bed was comfy and it was quiet. There are no elevators but we are young and energetic and didn't have an issue with taking the stairs. Breakfast was a bit sad and had some things I couldn't easily identify (Was that a disc o' scrambled egg product or a doughy frozen pancake? Were those grits in that pot? ) so I just had cereal. We just needed a reasonably priced place to lay our heads so it was fine for that, don't expect more.
