I was there as part of a wedding. The air conditioner was broken in the room the bridal party was getting ready in. It was hot! The outside part of the venue was beautiful but the inside appeared dated and in need of maintenance. During the dinner, my husband had water drip on him from condensation inside by the air vents. The light wrapped around the trees only half worked at night. The place has a lot of potential but needs major updating.

Very unimpressed. I booked an elite king room for my wife and myself. From the start the room had a strange odor but not bad enough to run away screaming. We then discovered the tub had a large crack in it causing the flooring to be soggy. I had requested flowers, wine, and chocolate strawberries for our room as a surprise for my wife. To our disappointment, the wine was subpar and the strawberries bitter and old. We had to leave early the next morning, and the travel coffee cups at the breakfast bar did not have sleeves. I would not stay again nor recommend anyone else to stay there. There are far better accommodations in the area at a cheaper rate such as a Comfort Suites.

Beautiful place. Very friendly people. Excellent accommodations. Good food and fun.

Greeting was terrible, pool was dirty, charged extra for Wi-Fi-parking-amenities. Had to plan for the entire day out to keep from driving so far back up the mountain to the Inn. The room was clean which was best part of visit. Not a good experience for us.

We celebrated our wedding here and it was truly a dream wedding. The view itself is breathtaking and worth it all and the beautiful rooms (dining room, library, bar) and great cocktails are just an added bonus. Only thing pulling the experience down remotely was the food (the chicken was incinerated beyond recognition) but I'd still say Crestwood is the most perfect place for a wedding I can possibly imagine!

The staff here are incredibly good. Benjamin and Chris, along with the female bartender made our trip quite fun. So, charming staff. The food was quite good too. The Table is going swimmingly. Thanks guys see you next time.

Nice place, staff is accommodating and friendly. Beautiful scenery. Spa area could use a touch up. Would recommend this place for a get away.

Top 3: 1. Located off the beaten path among the woods. 2. Absolutely beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the inn itself. 3. Buffet breakfast was a wonderful amenity. Bottom 3. 1. Accommodations were just "okay". 2. View from cabin was less than spectacular. 3. Extra "fee" for parking, Wi-Fi, and the breakfast felt unusual.

We can only offer one piece of advice if you are considering dining at Crestwood — ask if they will also be having a wedding at the same time as your reservation. This place holds a special place in our hearts, as it was where my wife and I had our first date. But ever since then, it's been married by weddings. A few trips ago, we we're actually turned away at the door, even after having made reservations, as they had a wedding take over the entire place and someone forgot to tell us after we drove 2 hours to eat here. Our last trip also conflicted with a wedding, though they still allowed our reservation in the smaller dining area, which lacks the views and intimacy of the other area (where the wedding was). When there's a wedding, drinks from the bar take 20mins and dinner wait, from time to order was 1hr (salmon and flat steak takes an hour? ). It's a great place, with great food, but avoid times when they're hosting weddings would be our recommendation.

The room is very clean and the king size bed is really big. The pool and sauna are nice. There's also games to play such as foosball, ping pong, and Cornhole. Staff is very welcoming.

This place was something out of a Horror Story. Just to get to the Inn you have to drive very dangerous Mountain Roads. I'm talking roads with no Guardrails and hairpin turns. Then you have the challenge of finding the Inn. If you miss it your in for a surprise. To turn around on the Mountain Roads is next to impossible. The Inn itself is outdated and depressing. Your room has a 20 year old TV. If your lucky it may work. Everything else in the room is from the 70's, Old and Older. If you like walking steep pathways, carrying your luggage up and down stairs, this is the place for you! Your hike to the pool will just about kill you. Its down a steep mountain path that is not accessible to the handicapped. Bring your wallet because your going to need it. To start with you have to pay to park. Remember, your already a Guest, but they charge you 5 dollars a night to park! Everything that you buy is taxed. Some of the taxes I never heard of. If your in the Mountains of Boone N. C. And you pass a Place called The Inn at Crestwood, Keep Going! Buyer Beware!

This quaint, historic Inn was a great overnight stay for our family. We loved the main building and the uniqueness of the floor plan. We stayed in Winter so the fireplaces we're all warm and cozy. The appointments were all nice and our room was in good shape but in need of some minor repairs. We loved our private balcony and the comfortable soaking tub after a long day of skiing. Breakfast was also a nicely arranged spread. We will return!

The Inn at Crestwood is beatifully located in the mountains and yet close enough to many local eateries, hiking, skiing, etc. The Inn itself was cozy and can accommodate small parties or large. Ideal for everything from a couples getaway to a large family reunion or even wedding. We will definitely be going back!

We were here for a friend's wedding. The food was great and the atmosphere was very cozy. Would consider staying here, but would likely end up at an Airbnb for the privacy of having a whole home.

We found this location through Groupon — it was my first "getaway" purchase and I wasn't sure how nice it would be. Our family of 4 stayed in the Hawthorne Cottage and it was incredible! Plenty of space, loved having a full sized kitchen which saved a lot of money instead eating out everywhere. There was plenty for the kids to do on the property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although driving up the mountain was scary… we loved that the entrance to the Inn was road level and not steep!

Views were stunning. Staff was accommodating. Walls were a bit thin. Overall I really liked it. The breakfast had a surprisingly wide variety of fare. I would come back here.

We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant… I've never wanted to eat "out" for our holiday before as I was afraid that the home cooked quality would be lacking. The Thanksgiving dinner at "The Table" at Crestwood Inn was a wonderful surprise! We enjoyed wine outside before dinner and the evening was much better than I ever anticipated… everything was delicious, the view was great and the service was very attentive without being intrusive! I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Still love this place. The views are great and rooms comfy. The Table restaurant is very nice. The spa is looking dates but the steam room and sone of the equipment was broken. Need to refresh. No masseuse available on the weekend?

Now this is an interesting place. It is located in the most remote of areas, yet as you sit in the dining hall, you have the most breathtaking view of the mountains! Absolutely gorgeous! As I enjoy reading the history of places I visit, I was intrigued to learn that the main house here was built for a family of a well-known and very successful architect. The house was built in the 1950s and the youngest son turned it into the Inn in 2004. They have the architect's drawings framed and displayed throughout the place, along with many paintings and whatnot. Check-in is not until 4 p. M. But as we were in the area hours before then, we just stopped in to see if it was possible to get in any earlier. They said they would give us a call when our room was ready, and sure enough, they called, and we were able to come in a little earlier. Upon entering the main building, it is a very cozy atmosphere. We visited early November, and they had pumpkins and hay bales welcoming you at the front door. When you step inside, you're greeted with a crackling fireplace to your right, and a friendly smile behind the counter waiting to help you. They offer some pretty high-end spa packages (facials, massages), an indoor pool, a beautiful dining experience, a nice bar, and free breakfast (waffles, oatmeal, sausage, eggs, juices, coffee, bagels, muffins, etc). Then, of course, the grounds are just beautifully manicured with tables and chairs for you.

Great food very nice staff, sauna only 1/3 of the coils were working so out never made it up to temp after an hour. Heat in room was terrible cycled very very noisily. Champagne wad not in room until we were going to sleep. : (

The Inn at Crestwood far exceeded our expectations. The pictures online don't do this place justice, it is just lovely. A gorgeous woodsy lodge tucked away in the mountains, amazing views, delicious food (our waiter was The Best) and the room was larger than we imagined, wonderful experience, definitely returning in the future.

Nestled into the mountain through a beautiful winding road the Crestwood is gorgeous and offers a scenic view of the Blue Ridge landscapr. On site is a spa and restaurant as well that boasts great reviews with modern spins on classic fare. Thr rooms were clean, though some repairs and handiwork were questionable to say the least. Overall the staff has been kind and the stay enjoyable, though in Boone with so much to do its hard NOT to love it.

I loved everything about The Inn at Crestwood. The staff, the food, the views and the spa were all amazing. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time at a reasonable price.

This Place is a really good place for a quiet weekend getaway. It would also a great place for a nice fairly inexpensive wedding. Very nice hiking trails with private secluded area to kissy kissy with your loved one. Our room was clean and comfortable and the grounds were well kept with the exception of a few on the walk ways that had some brush covering them. Hot breakfast was included and par. All in all a really good getaway spot.

I can't say enough great things about this venue for a wedding! Vanessa and her team were absolutely seamless and so incredibly wonderful to work with! They thought about the things we would have forgotten and they made sure everything went smoothly. I'd recommend this wedding venue over any other venue in the Blue Ridge Mts for multiple reasons. They were affordable, flexible, accommodating throughout the whole process, and they really went above and beyond on the wedding day! Vanessa and her team are all very pleasant to work with and calmed a lot of my fears and uncertainties. Not to mention that the Inn at Crestwood is also absolutely beautiful, with a breath-taking view! They also have a perfect back-up plan for inclement weather and it was very nice to have all of our guests stay in one place. The food was amazing, and Vanessa even helped us find a Pastor to marry us. The Inn at Crestwood is a perfect place to have your dream wedding!

From the outside the Inn at Crestwood seems like a charming mountain bed and breakfast. However this is not the case. The pool is kept at an intolerably cold temperature, the steam room is out of service, and the sauna takes over an hour to heat up. I scheduled a spa appointment and the masseuse was not only late, but also extremely bad. She left my back feeling extremely sore and tired. The opposite of what a good massage should do. The food is sub par and over priced. You are better off staying at home than booking a getaway at the Crestwood.

Great unique property away from town. Comfortable and simple villas. Great restaurant. Very clean. And the Wi-Fi was good. I'll be back.

My wife and I stayed at Crestwood recently and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the view from the terrace as we ate dinner from the Table, we could watch the storms go around the mountains as we ate dinner. We ventured down to the pool area later that night and found the sauna to be warm and inviting and then we took a swim in the pool. Our room was in the Inn so we got to enjoy the view from the master suite all day, it was so nice to wake up to the view of Grandfather mountain. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more of the area but we had to get back to the real world of work. We hope to come back again in the winter when there is snow on the ground and we can see the mountain tops with snow.

We went to The Inn at Crestwood for dinner. All of the staff there are fantastic. Great attention and very friendly. Amongst the friendly staff we had an equally great waitress. The setting is absolutely spectacular. I can see it's appeal as a wedding venue. The food was spectacular too. Definitely a destination for foodies.

! BRIDES BEWARE! I had to do a complete venue/city change six months before my wedding because the staff at the Inn at Crestwood did not communicate properly amongst themselves or with me. Rather than own their mistakes and refund my $3500 deposit, they tried to give me the venue left overs to ‘make-do’. Please read to the end before you book any wedding event with Crestwood. I received a room block addendum on February 23rd from Vanessa, and the end of her email said “You may start making reservations at any time"! The room block was for the 15 Inn rooms and 4 cottages. At no point during any in-person, phone, or email correspondence did anyone from Crestwood tell me that the Room Block Addendum had to be signed and returned. Based on the information in Vanessa’s email and everything I had been told up to that point, I thought myself and my wedding guests had until March 16, 2017 to book our rooms for the wedding weekend. I found out the day before Thanksgiving, 2016, that most of my room block had ‘accidentally’ been given to the Friday and Sunday weddings. My first reaction that day was, OMG, you’re going to have to call all those other people and tell them you’ve made a mistake and they can’t have those rooms, to which Vanessa responded “well they’ve already paid for those rooms, and you haven’t paid for any, so we can’t do that, and we have no signed room block addendum for you”.

Awful, awful, awful… We were in room 6. The outdoor lock was loose and the place needed painting. At least someone would wipe off the dirt of the woodwork. The blinds would not close all the way, the drapery was dirty and OLD, and the television was so small I could barely see it from the bed. The walk out "balcony" area needed sweeping and the patio furniture was dirty and the padding was stained with mildew. The bathroom was clean but the toilet seat had a circular grey ring from where body oils from multiple bare bottoms have been over the years. We bought a $200 couples spa package that included all day use of the spa facilities. What a nightmare. I'm still grossed out. We were taken into a downstairs area of the spa with a rectangular pool. It was warm and humid. The massages were done in a decent room and these were fine. The rest of the area looked like it NEVER gets cleaned. The one shower was NASTY, wet and dirty. I mean you could SEE actual wet dirt. All the fabric cushions were moldy and spotted. The fireplace was all rust. The door frames were all rusted. The steam room was a wreck with cracked plaster (there was an old out of order sign) no telling how long it was broken. There was no indication on the website that the steam room was not working. The dry heat room was dirty, and did NOT work either but no out of order sign was posted.

The hotel is in an awesome location. It's about 2 miles off in the woods on the side of the mountain. It's very private and quiet. The rooms are also pretty isolated, with doubles in a small central building (with the restaurant and lobby) and the suits out in small cottages. The staff is excellent as well.

Meh. View was nice; however, room sucked and they decided to host a sorority party the same night I stayed there on a romatic get away with my girlfriend. Will think twice before returning.

They put us in a villa with king bed and its cheap, Lowest quality everything and it wasn't maintained at all. Stained paper shutters, walls need paint, etc. I would never come back to the villas part. I don't know about anything else because we left. Better areas for the money around. The main building seems really nice, our experience with the villas part wasn't good. Spa and restaurant seems expensive when you're in a cheap room, didn't want to experience the rest. Sorry Crestwood you gotta get it together with the villas.

I had planned this trip for me and my Boyfriend to have a nice change in view! When we checked in they where so nice and helpful! I got the Elite King Suit, it came with a fire place, balcony and the most amazing views. Lets just say when we walked in the room all we could say was WOW to that view! I am very happy with my stay and will come back again!

Place is cozy and the staff is friendly but I would never stay here again for one reason — the walls are paper thin and you can hear full on conversations from your neighbors, among other things. It's completely distracting when you're just trying to relax in the room. Other than that it was ok.

Groupon experience and suggest one removes it from your site. First the steam room was broken and had dead bugs in it. The sauna room was not working and the pool had construction guys walking around with a random dog of theirs hanging around. I went to sit by the fire pit and asked the front desk to turn it on, they said they could do nothing as it was the resturant's that was closed. Really it's on the property and no one can turn it on. It was nothing I paid for and this groupon should be ashamed of having this location on it.

Stunning! My husband and I stayed in the King room in the Inn. It was beautiful and comfortable. The fireplace, private porch, whirlpool tub, and comfortable bed made the room even nicer than expected. Our favorite part of our stay was eating at the Table restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation and eat there during your stay. They book up quickly, so make one in advance. The NC crab cake & NC trout are both great dishes, and the view from almost any seat in the restaurant is unbeatable. Watching the sun set over the mountains was magical! Also, We found the staff to be friendly and had no issues during our stay.

My boyfriend and I came to get some last minute skiing in before heading back to school. We couldn't find a hotel close to the area we were to ski in so we chose Crestwood after reading some reviews. The restaurant at Crestwood, which is called The Table, is absolutely phenomenal. We had an amazing meat and cheese plate paired with wine that came highly recommended from the waitress. I could not say enough great things about the meal we had and the restaurant. Our room was spacious and comfortable. After staying at a Holiday Inn for several days prior it was a nice and welcomed change! The spa facility was great (that is where the pool, dry and wet sauna were located as well), after harsh skiing conditions it was great to come back to that. My only complaint was that my boyfriend and I had scheduled spa services and had to cancel due to illness and were still charged heavily. My only complaint was the extra charges, other than that it was a great stay. The location is a bit out of the way but if you are looking for a romantic getaway or just a nice secluded place I would recommend.

Everything seemed nice but I was very disappointed that there was no balcony. No place to really enjoy the beautiful view. We were unaware there was a wedding and we couldn't use the dining room Saturday night. We did get in Sunday and the foof was really good and so was the breakfast.

My wife and I stayed there july 11, 12, 2014. We were in the villas, three story condo style buildings. Ours was supposedly a king suite. The "King" was two twin beds pushed close together, two twin mattresses, not a king with a gap of about 2 inches between. The Air conditioner was out of order in the bedroom and there was a mini window unit that worked hard to keep room comfortable. Had 1 inch gaps around the window unit. The TV in the "den" would not work properly despite employees coming to try and adjust it. Both tv's were antiques, and not sized for the rooms. There were no window treatments, no curtains, only a set of plastic mini blinds, they did a poor job of keeping out light. No pictures on wall no chair in master bedroom to sit down only a tiny bench suitable for a child. Overall the accommodations were like a hunting camp, than a resort. They add a 15 dollar resort fee to your room. It was 400 dollar rip off for two nights as far as I'm concerned. Would never stay there again. View are nice from the lodge but that is about all this tired, dirty, poorly appointed place has to offer.

After arriving at the Resort, we decided to take a walk. The grounds appeared to have many flowers and trees but there wasn't anywhere to walk — you would have thought that there would be at least 1 walkway or looped path. Since a walk wasn't an option we decided to eat an early dinner. The food was over priced for what it was but the view and staff were good. My husband ordered one of their specialty drinks and it was so bad that he didn't drink it. The waitress should have noticed and offered him something different. The fact that we were the only patrons was a bit alarming but we were determined to enjoy our evening. We went back to the room to enjoy a bottle of wine on our deck and quickly realized that the sound of the AC units were so loud that sitting outside was not relaxing at all. Even if it was relaxing, the neighboring room shared the space and there wasn't any privacy. I hadn't really given all the complaints I've listed any thought until we were awaken several times by the loud creaking sounds of the ceiling. Apparently the sounds stemmed from the people simply walking around in their room upstairs. The sounds were truly unacceptable! By the time that breakfast was being served, I didn't have high hopes. I'm pretty sure that I've had a better breakfast at a far less expensive hotel. Upon departure, a $15.00 resort fee was charged. (even though we didn't take advantage of their spa treatments) … I will not return.
