It is hard to give The Omni Grove Park Inn justice with words. The staff is amazing, the views are amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, the food is amazing. Do yourself a favor…book a spa package, it’s worth every penny. Just book it early, the spots fill up quick and they don’t overload the spa area so it maintains a sense of privacy.

The entire experience was incredible. We visited for our Anniversary and enjoyed everything. The views are majestic, the Inn is cozy and beautiful, all of the food was delicious and they recommended a very informative and fun brewery tour! The spa is unbelievable. We will absolutely be back.

What a gem! Beautiful all around environment. From Andrew at the front desk to Alex at The Sunset Terrace to awesome Keisha in Blue Ridge, the staff treats you more like family than a customer. The spa is the absolute best. I highly recommend Paul for the message of a life time. So relaxing. This was my third visit, and I've already set dates for next year's, now annual, birthday trip!

The best Sunday Brunch I've ever eaten! Friendly, attentive staff. Jonathan was a delight to have as our waiter. Alan, at the buffet was helpful at giving us tips to find our favorites. I would highly recommend enjoying this romantic setting with its beautiful views of the blue ridge mountains.

Wonderful sunset drinks on the porch. What a grand hotel. Dinner was ok. Great service. Bison meatloaf was not great. Birthday chocolate treat was flavorless and stale. Shrimp grits were great and my son loved the grilled cheese. Cheese plate on the porch was not good. This place is terrible! Don’t waste the $500 per night! Leaving tomorrow a day early. At 10:30 they came to our room and told us we were too loud. Just taking to my wife! Masks required to walk in the hallways. No drinking past 10:00 pm. Does that make sense? Curfew? Why? Gov. Cooper needs to learn from Gov. Desantis!

We went there for a nice dinner and view of the sunset over the mountains. The view was incredible, the service was fast and friendly, and I think the salmon I had was the best I have ever eaten!

They have a beautiful setting and atmosphere. Decorations are beautiful and the staff are awesome. Our dinner tonight was delicious.

We went to Edison for Lunch. It was wonderful. Our waiter was pleasant and patient with us as we did have question about the menu. The cocktails were great and the appetizers and meal was top notch. We can’t wait to come back in the spring and stay for a few days!

So these are unique times. The hotel just reopened and they have a small staff back. They are truly accommodating and working hard to make guests feel safe and more importantly feel as though they can relax and enjoy the nature around them. Highly recommend.

We love Grove Park Inn. The spa experience is fantastic. The valet parking is quite expensive even as a guest. Came in May 2018 and again in August 2018. They put us in the same room with a view of the valet parking area. Would have been nice to put us in a different room facing the golf course so that we could get a different experience of the hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant terrace and the food was great! Unfortunately we couldn’t see the food because the one lonely imitation candle didn’t supply enough light. To look at the menu and our food we had to resort to our flashlights on our smart phones. Several customers did the same thing as we did. One of the two elevators had broken down for the day and night resulting in a continual delay waiting for the only working elevator.

We didn't stay at the hotel over night, but we enjoyed a dinner and beautiful atmosphere and romantic sunset. Hotel was fully book and we didn't have even dinner reservations, so we ended up with buffet dinner, but it was a best thing what happened on the end. The service was AMAZING and food EXCELLENT! I was very surprised for low price we paid for guides and great quality food they served. Price per person was only $46… You have to try it!

The hotel lives up to the reputation that I read about in reviews that I read before arriving at the hotel—a truly excellent experience—from arrival on the cobblestone entry, to the greeting by the valet, to the check in experience, to the operator in the elevator, and the assistance of the bellman. The interaction with hotel staff during our stay was more than a morning hello! Every employee was interested in our comfort and our daily activities. We have been guests in a number of historic hotels. Our experience at The Omni Grove Park Inn far exceeded our expectations and previous experiences with other similar landmarks. We will recommend this hotel to our friends and family, and look forward to our next visit!

Had a beautiful mountain view room that was immaculate. Dinner in the Sunset Terrace was delicious. Listened to live music while enjoying after dinner drinks. Everything was perfect! Breakfast buffet was amazing. Take time to walk the grounds and enjoy the history and antiques on display inside. I have stayed here many times but I think this was the best visit yet!

This hotel is one of my favorites! Every time I stay here I have an amazing experience and each time I discover a little more about the history of the hotel! The staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The spa is incredible and the services they provide are awesome! The best part is that the hotel is also dog friendly!

Hotel is beautiful and staff is friendly & helpful. The scenery is spectacular especially in the evening from the Sunset Terrace. The restaurants are pricey and some of the menus are limited but overall pretty good. I recommend the Cabana Grill by the Pool/Golf course, ate there 3 times and it was delish every time. And room service is really good as well.

You simply can't get any better than the Grove Park Inn. Mountain view is spectacular, food and staff is 5 star. The resort facilities are first class. We spent the day at the cabana pool, very nice, clean and comfortable. Although the older part of the hotel rooms that we stayed in were cool to learn about and we enjoyed the history, I would prefer the newer rooms and will choose one of them next time.

I'll start by saying this place is out of my price range. I am probably not considering this place for any family vacations any time soon — but I was able to visit thanks to my company sending me to an associational meeting. The service and staff are very attentive and accommodating. I ate in three of the restaurants while there, the food does not leave you disappointed. If you are visiting for a convention or meeting, this place is well equipped to handle just about any size. It was a good experience.

A quick weekend trip to the Grove Park turned out to be an overwhelming experience. I would highly recommend you spend the extra money and upgrade to the Club Level. The staff of the Club Level were amazing, catering to our every want and need, right down to were to park in Downtown Asheville. In fact, the entire property staff showed the high standard of customer service. We will definitely be returning and returning to the Club Level.

We did not stay at the hotel but spent the afternoon at the terrace restaurant for the sunset. Food is a bit pricey but we expected that. The view is very nice. We could not get a server to wait on us to get a drink while waiting on the lower terrace for our dinner table. Exploring the grounds and hotel area make for a nice date night or afternoon. We even got to watch a wedding!

This is not the place for your kids. No. Leave them home. This is not the family getaway, or the quick overnight trip. You need at least two full days here, without the beloved little ones, to take in everything that is here; food, views, alcohol, and quiet (kids tend to hamper this one). If you want to make it EXTRA special, spring for staying on the Club Floor. My favorite part of this floor: no kids allowed. Adults only. Which means quiet, free food, and good company. You will be pampered and well at ease while you are here. It's ridiculous really, because when it is time to checkout, you won't want to leave. Like a classy version of Hotel California.

Just stopped in to view historical building and had drinks. The view from the back is stunning. Very cool building, but the recent additions onto the hotel are of extremely bad taste… Like I would really hope the rooms are discounted once you are out of the historic part of the house! Very cool to see the amount of famous and notable people that have stayed here throughout history! Ask people at the main desk for fun facts about the lobby and the about pink lady…

The Omni hotel is amazing. We stayed there for a special ocassion and the staff worked with me prior to arrange flowers, lunch and dinner reservations, and to make sure we were all on the same floor. They were always pleasant. Once we arrived, the amazing service didn’t stop. The hotel is beautiful and filled with some wonderful history. You truly do not have to leave the grounds. The restaurants are top notch and then of course you have a wonderful view. There is plenty of entertainment. I did not get to enjoy the spa but we are planning another trip in the fall and I will enjoy it then.

Front door staff are very nice and helpful with luggage and taxis. Spa is nice. However, we would not stay at this hotel ever again. We checked into on May 10, 2018 for three nights. With room, tax, resort fees it was over $500 per night for a deluxe Mountain View room. It was NOT not nice room. Bathroom has a drop ceiling that looked old and dingy. Our view was from a small window that had dark screens in it and there was an exterior wall on both sides that provided an obstructed mountain view. That room should not be sold as a Mountain View room. Dust on the crooked lights above the dusty mirror in the bathroom, drab and old looking brown carpet on the floor. Bathroom curtain was a crooked tension rod with cheap ugly fabric. When I complained about having a drop ceiling and tension rod curtain in the bathroom the front desk said this is a historic hotel. Drop ceiling, historic? Really? We have stayed at many well appointed historic hotels throughout the USA. I was really upset with the room so although I let them know when we checked in, I asked for another room the following day and they did agree to move us the afternoon of Day 2. However, the experience ruined our stay so that’s why one star rating. For over $500 per night you may wish to stay elsewhere. Food at the Sunset Terrace is very good but they got my order wrong twice. I just kept it the first time and refused it the second time.

Nice hotel, but pay close attention to your bill upon check out. They over charged me in 2 areas. I noticed one and had a hard time getting the front desk to fix it. I didn't notice the second error until I got home… too late! To be such a nice hotel, it seems chintzy of them to do something like that. Another example of how the rich stay rich, right?

Beautiful location wirh view of the Blur Ridge Mountains! Genuinely pet friendly. Walking the grounds (as a respectful pet owner) was no problem. Pets not allowed in restaurants or common areas for extended periods. Service animal owners should inquire themselves about rules. Two queen room was more spacious than many high end hotels. Felt luxurious. Beautifully appointed bathroom and nice walk in shower. Room nicely decorated. Lobby is gorgeous, inviting and fitting of a lodge type feel. Not a golfer myself, still felt welcome. Golf course looked amazing and lots of people enjoying it.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views! My husband and I stayed a few nights after our wedding. The spa was very relaxing, the grounds were beautifully decorated for the holidays, and since We were just married, they had champagne in our room each evening. The service was outstanding! It is pricey, but it is well worth the money!

Distinguished hotel due to location, architecture, and service. The views are so boss! Easy to relax and decompress. Sports complex was huge with plenty of equipment. A rich history that is told through the hotel. Fun place to visit.

The history in real life experience. A must see venue. They have well preserved so many things in this extraordinary place. It's an experience that can be felt and enjoyed throughout your visit. The staff really take care of their customers. A glass of wine, sit back in one of the genuine sofas sitting by the humongous fire places, or out on one of the verandas while having your dinners enjoying the scenery. It's for special occasions, meetings, etc.

I recently visited your beautiful resort for a girls overnight trip. The 4 of us had been looking forward to our stay, for the spa area. I called for weeks trying to reserve a massage for our party and was unable to get an appointment on our desired stay because there was no availability. I was added to a waiting list and if anyone was to cancel, they would contact me directly. We drove up to the resort on April 4 and went directly to the spa in hopes of purchasing a day pass. Fortunately we were able to purchase one shortly after the spa opened. After purchasing our day passes, we proceeded to go to guest services to check into our room. While upstairs we received a phone call from the spa stating that they had 3 open massaged for myself and 2 of my 3 friends. We immediately went downstairs and spoke with the desk about what we needed to do to book those appointments. The spa and massages was our only reason for staying at this resort as you are required to be a guest there in order to be a spa guest. We also made the spa attendant aware that one of our friends was inside of the spa area and that we needed to go and get her in order to book the appointments. She assured us that it would be fine for us to do this and come right back to pay the difference in the massage price verses the day pass price which we had already purchased. When we came back we were informed that the appointments had already been booked and that they were unable to hold the appointment for us.

The inn is a timeless place, where it is possible to lose yourself in luxury while still being able to enjoy modern conveniences. A rustic main lodge with enormous fireplaces and high ceiling opens to a hillside veranda with a vista of distant mountains and beautiful homes in the valley below. The staff is friendly and kind. Food and drinks are expensive, but on par with resorts. Our room was clean and well cared-for, but small for the price. The tour of the resort was worth the time. Resort is close to loads of hiking and outdoor recreation. Less than 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, which is pleasant for a city.

This place is amazing. I was there before Christmas and my suite had a Christmas Tree, high ceilings and a beautiful stained glass window. They were also getting ready for the gingerbread house competition. Definitely do the walking tour if you have time, and the piano bar is a must. I didn't get to the spa, so I can't comment on that. The history, atmosphere and architecture are engrossing.

This place is not only historic, but is an absolute treat to experience. I went here for some time off, and found the entire experience to be tranquil and revitalizing. I went during December, and the atmosphere and view of their decor and outside view at night were absolutely remarkable. The food, service, and overall experience was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Went here for new years dinner and it was great! All you could eat buffet with delicious food all around. I definitely ate my share of crab legs. The lobster macaroni and cheese was also to die for. Only giving 4/5 stars because of mix up with our reservation. We had a group of 18, so my sister had confirmed numerous times over the course of two weeks or more. When we went to check in, we were told someone had cancelled our reservation. Luckily we had multiple confirmation emails, and the restaurant wasn't as busy as expected (due to icy weather). Because they were not prepared for us, our group ended up having to sit at two separate tables. Yes, right next to each other and not a big deal, but would have enjoyed sitting together more.

This is my one of my favorite destinations in all of Asheville. My wife and I come here fairly often with our son to enjoy the views, the food, and the building itself. The history here is incredible and you can feel the age in the bones of the building. Another thing that we absolutely love to experience is the annual National Gingerbread House Competition. We get ourselves a couple collector mugs of their signature hot chocolate and view all the top Gingerbread houses and decide for ourselves which one was the best. It's great fun for the whole family.

Went there for anniversary. Very, very nice. Love it all the way around. You have to use there valet parking or walk a good way. Food was amazing they only downfall at all was the wait time for our food. Took 45 minutes. The bright side. They comped our dessert and we had an awesome view while we waited.

Great service and delicious food. Wonderful wines too. Small restaurants so plan to wait during high season. Many types of restaurants to choose from. We love the outdoor ones. The views alone are worth the trip. Great selections if foods and all are fresh from local sources. There are two restaurants that are large. The buffets are unbelievable. If you're in town during Nov. Try to catch the Gingerbread Competition. They have pictures of current and past winners on display. Great entertainment. If you want to relax have a drink in front of the huge fireplaces in the great room as you enter the establishment. They also have enclosed areas with fireplaces for intimate drink time. Enjoy!

Wow! My wife and I booked a couple's getaway and we felt the Grove Park Inn was everything we hoped for, and much more. We stayed in the historic portion of the resort, complete with the original 1913 hand operated elevators. There's some real special history here, so take the time to explore and look around. Be sure to relax in a rocking chair in front of one of the two grand fireplaces in the main inn. And the subterranean spa? Amazing. What on earth are you waiting for? Go there. Now!

We decided to enjoy Brunch here at the Grove Park Inn while on vacation. Such a beautiful property filled with history. After lunch we wandered the grounds and checked out the various Gingerbread houses on display. Super cool experience. First 3 hours of parking are free for visitors and we managed to eat and site see in that time frame just fine. Will definitely be back for a full experience to stay at the Inn on a future trip. Staff was super friendly!

I can't say enough of so many things about this fabulous hotel, love the suites and its like staying in a mountain top hideaway. I love the bathrooms with its huge tubs and bath robes and so much room and the beds are so very comfortable and beyond soft and its so hard to get up the next morning, its like you want to stay in bed all day! The breakfast is so much more than other hotels in what they call breakfast! Love the quite and peaceful hotel, where you can really get some good rest and be productive the next day. The spa's here have the best service in North Carolina. The staff are great and always there to assist in anyway!

I have literally wanted to go to this hotel as a romantic getaway with my husband for YEARS. It always looked so beautiful in the pictures. I finally planned a surprise birthday trip for him and after we checked in I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I was so looking forward to enjoying a day of relaxation by the spa pools only you can’t purchase a spa day pass Friday-Sunday and we were staying Thursday-Saturday. We didn’t have an appointment at the spa and there were no appointments to be had so we were basically told that all beautiful pictures on line we wouldn’t get a chance to see this visit. Talk about dosappointing! Our room is extremely average and our view is basically the side of the building and a stone wall. Not even a view of the Mountains! Then there is the parking. $20 for parking a day for the hotel I’m already paying for that I can’t use any of the amenities at. I would have been much better off staying in a way cheaper hotel and just paying for a treatment where I could actually have the use of the spa facility. My first thought was that at least I’ll know for next time, but to be honest I don’t know that I’ll ever come back. So so disappointed in pretty much everything about the whole experience.

My husband and I just returned from another wonderful stay at the Grove Park Inn during the Gingerbread House Competition exhibits. As usual, there is beauty and splendor everywhere you look. We had never stayed in the historical part of the hotel until now; what a unique and nostalgic experience, and we got such a kick out of the elevators! From the front desk team to the Housekeeping department to the elevator operators, the staff far exceeded our expectations in friendliness and efficiency. I can tell you with confidence, if you ever have even the smallest concern at Grove Park, it will be addressed. Our dining experiences were wonderful — don't miss the dinner buffets in the Blue Ridge! Our favorite part this time had to be the fantastic time we had at Elaine's piano bar — we planned to stay only an hour and wound up staying several hours due to the crazy fun we were having. The magnificent spa offered the same high standard of excellence as always, and this time Susan gave me the best massage I have ever received. This destination is world class all the way, do not hesitate to visit.

We went with family to enjoy the dinner buffet in the Blue Ridge dining room. The service was excellent, quickly taking drink orders and clearing plates when anyone went for more. As for the food itself, the menu was not as special as previous visitors had suggested. Still, there were some options that stood out as deserving of the reputation. I acknowledge it's hard to deliver typical fine dining quality dishes when serving in chafing dishes but a carving station of plain ham leaves more to be desired even when taking that in to account. The views from the hotel are beautiful and the building itself is extremely nice. The meal just fell a little short of matching the setting.

We have been coming here for over 25 years. We love it in fact it's my wife's favorite place to stay. Everything is first class, service, rooms, food, atmosphere, fun and relaxing. They make you feel special every time. We spend Christmas here almost every year. Opelika Alabama.

I live in the area, and have visited the Grove Park Inn many times over the years. It's a wonderful hotel, with a beautiful interior and amazing amenities. The food, decorations (especially the holiday ones), rooms, and staff are all amazing. The spa is wonderful and has a unique design that is very pleasing to be a part of. The rooms are very nice, nothing particularly special about them. The dining options are delicious and decadent, with a price tag to match. Would highly recommend staying here at least once. The views are breathtaking, and the experience is well worth it.

A smile can be every bit as warm as those big fireplaces you all have. Tim the Bellman, Larry at front door and Erin in The Marketplace are excellent examples of what service should be to make an experience memorable for the guest. They are efficient, pleasant, genuine and SMILING. Even though it’s the holiday season and they are working while other are vacationing, their attitudes don’t remind the guest of that. Omni has some beautiful properties but this is one of the best. Sprawling over the top of a hill near Asheville, it offers unbelievable vistas of the surrounding area, all from the leisure of the sunset patio or the balconies from the rooms. The resort has every type of recreational activity you could want, together with multiple restaurants and cafes and an award-winning spa. The staff could not have been more helpful throughout our stay, and our Loyalty Ambassador went above and beyond to make our trip special. I think you could happily stay here for a long, long time and never leave the property.

Wee went the the Groove Park Inn for Thanksgiving dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The quality of food and service was fantastic. With that said, the amount of people being served and manner in which many acres detected from the overall experience. The buffet service could be a little more organized which would have improved out experience. I will note the desserts were incredible!

Our stay at the resort was by far the most relaxing and enjoyable one we have ever had anywhere. The loyalty host, Beverly Brown went above and beyond to make sure our stay was flawless. The food, service, accommodations, and scenery were exceptional. If you are looking for the an unforgettable experience were you have true value, stay here.

It was amazing staying at the Omni Grove Park Inn. The resort itself is an experience because it's so historical. You'll not want to stay in your room so you can spend time in the lobby that has a fireplace and rocking chairs or explore the amazing views from the landscaped part on the back half of the resort that overlook the mountains. You could actually never leave the resort at all while here. Restaurant are great! Reservations are a must! The rooms are a bit small. Bathrooms might be a bit dated. But who cares. This place has real charm. You'll probably stay no where else like this!

I went to eat at the Blue Ridge Farm to Table Artisianal Buffet. That was by far the best meal I've had in a long time. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. Everything on the buffet was fantastic. The collard greens and Prime Rib was the best though. The Prime Rib was cooked to perfection. Even the desert was fantastic. The Bananas Foster was cooked right in front of me and made me want to save more room for it next time.

Wow, Wow and WOW. What a place this is. Terrific panoramic views of the mountains in the back, unbelievable food and a place with the reputation of having celebrities, movie stars playwrites, dignitaries eat/stay at the property. Started in 1913 and still going strong. No accident there for sure. There is also a golf course as well. The only negative is the parking is not good but you get the first 3 hours of parking free — but you'll need all that to eat your huge meal and find your car. The cost is a little high, but to be expected for this level of service. It's also on my wife's top 5 best meals of her life, so it's a 5 out of 5 stars for this reviewer. It's fantastic, you will LOVE it.

We are presently staying at The Grove Park Inn. The view is spectacular and the service at the bars and restaurants have been exceptional. The complaint we do have is that we upgraded to a suite and the bathroom is tiny with no tub and 2 people cannot be in the bathroom at the same time. The closet is also very small, Especially for 2 people. There is no turn down service, which normally is not a big deal, but when you pay $400+ a night you would expect clean glasses, a clean room and ice. We called Room service for ice and glasses and we were told it would be an hour.

While we didn't stay overnight at the Omni Grover Park Inn since we were just passing through, we were told by multiple people it was a must see in Asheville This place is stunning. We walked around the beautiful resort and enjoyed the views. It was neat to learn about the history and the girls gingerbread competition. The shops have cute items you can browse and I recommend checking out the museum's on grounds as well. I hope to come back for a stay in the future!

I will say that others in our party got the fish and said that it was wonderful. I was just really disappointed that we paid as much as we did for such a poor dish. The atmosphere is beyond belief however and well worth the trip.

The Inn is amazing. We didn't have a room, just visited for food ave drinks. The interior oh the Inn is beautiful, and you can feel the history in the walls. The views are spectacular, and you can roam around outside and explore the grounds. The dining experience, however, was not great. We dined at Edison. The service was very slow — it took 20 minutes to get our first (and only) round of drinks (2 drinks total). It took another 45 minutes to get our food, and my husband's dish arrived cold. We were there for way longer than is necessary. It seemed our waiter knew we weren't pleased, so tried to make up for it at the last possible second by bringing over a dessert for our Anniversary. It was nice (and yummy) but it didn't make up for the lack of service. We'll definitely be back to the Omni Grove Park Inn, but most likely won't go back to Edison.

Very nice ambience and area. Beautiful to see the mountains and scenery everywhere. A bit difficult to get an easy meal anywhere. All restaurants seem to require reservations far in advance. Food was decent quality and the buffets were very good.

Upscale, beautiful, excellent service. They set the bar pretty high. Everyone was great and hospitable and the facilities are top notch. They have a full sports complex and the golf course is awesome but nothing compares to the spa experience, might be the best spa I have experienced. They really know how to make you feel at home.

The gorgeous building is upstaged by the magnificent views. That's saying something because the building is a work of art, inside and out. Utterly unique with a new detail everywhere you look. The history is fascinating as well. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Edison's, one of their fine restaurants, and were spellbound by the view. The blue of the mountains rolling off into the distance is breathtaking.

The music was nice, but kinda off key. It was more busy than usual because of a party they were having but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The bartenders were every informative.

If at any point in time you are opening your eyes at the Grove Park, there is always something beautiful to look at. I was on the 7th floor. You looked at the bottom of all four elevators at my behest, as I somehow I doubted that I remembered which one I was on. I was ready to admit defeat. You told me you would keep looking, starting from the 7th floor working your way down. We had decided together, as it was a single key fob, it would be near impossible for it to catch on the way down. You let me know that later id have a key in my room by the tv, or a note saying you couldn't find it. Later I found my key, and a note saying it was on the third floor ^___^ You went well above what I would have expected of any person. Thank you. ** Alan the night man — I have trouble sleeping, and would spend some time every night wandering the inn or sitting out by the stars. One night I was playing guitar in a comfy lobby chair, when I was asked by someone I assumed was a concierge if I needed anything, I declined politely. I feel, you correctly felt I felt bad about needing anything, and asked if maybe I needed only a drink. I was thirsty. I replied that water would be nice, and quickly realized I had a water bottle.

Still impressive more than a century later. The Grove Park Inn is up there with the Biltmore in terms of historical landmarks in WNC. We went for the Blue Ridge Buffet (the food and scenery is magnificent) and stayed to explore the grounds. Almost every hall, room, and picture had a history to it. Most definitely worth a visit if you're able.

Sometimes pictures just don't capture the "Awe" that can be experienced in person. Prepare yourself for a great time at this hotel. My wife and I definitely left the hotel feeling that all our expectations were fulfilled. In fact, we started planning our next trip to the hotel before we even left. We wold recommend the Hotel, Spa, Bar, and Restaurants to anyone wanting a great time.

Good view if you're willing to pay way too much money. Clearly made for rich people to enjoy, the waiter tried to sell us on the tap water making it sound like it was something more than it was. Maybe I'm biased because this isn't the type of place I would normally go to, but my appetizer was some over priced pork rinds with some seasoning, and I could easily go to a store and get almost the same thing for a dollar. The staff is kind and friendly, but I get the feeling that's because they work with rich people all day and rich people need to be coddled into a false sense of security. If you are cheap like me, this is not the kind of place you would want to frequent, if you have more money than god and don't mind spending too much money, then this place will probably suit you.

Based on other guests reviews and friends/family that have stayed at Grove Park Inn, we decided to stay at GPI for our anniversary. What I wasn't expecting were rooms that were very dated — ugly bathrooms — and smelled like cigarette smoke. The hotel says it's non-smoking, but that clearly doesn't stop guests from smoking in their rooms and the air filtration system is too old to exhaust the smell. So I would suggest staying somewhere else if you cannot tolerate cigarette smoke. The Inn itself is pretty and the scenery is beautiful. Be aware that there are stupid charges, such as $25 per night for a "convenience" fee of using the internet and pool access, as well as parking which is $15-$22 per night, so make sure you ask about these garbage fees prior to booking.

With two stars I'm being generous because I don't want the Inn to suffer. I experienced the Sunset Terrace last night for my wife's birthday. Waiter, Bradley, was great A+. For place that prides itself on being a chophouse the $45.00 12oz NY strip was a joke! No grill marks, cooked medium instead of medium rare on a flat grill, great job guys I'm sure most steakhouses use a flat grill!?!?, the loaded baked potato was a half potato, $8.00 by the way for half!, with nothing but an overcooked exterior and loaded with nothing but disappointment! I've had better steaks at the Waffle House! To have cooking talent of this magnitude, this was THE worst steak I've ever encountered! So if you enjoy paying a lot for food and getting Freezer Queen frozen entree quality, you should definitely reserve a table at the Sunset Terrace Chophouse!

Ordered $100.00 gift card seven days ago & not received via general mail. Representative on 5/10 stated 2 days payment and handling then 7 additional days. Omni certainly drafted my debit bank card on May 3rd when initially ordered so they have my funds regardless. Email DID NOT stipulate 9 to 10 day delivery as the rep indicated! If my wife didn't enjoy the sauna at the Grove Park Inn I would never utilize Omni again. When we resided in Asheville for twenty-five years we always celebrated our anniversary at GP Inn, Sunday meals, high school and college graduation meals not to mention countless visits for the sauna sessions over the years since it was incorporated for not only my wife but our daughter, and our son-in-law for Christmas and birthdays! Just suppose when a larger organization consumes a local establishment one loses the personal and sincere touch. This includes the "touch of class" Omni lacks in business relations with clients in reference to the "corporate call center". The service at the Blue Ridge Room for our family dinner was exceptional. Our server's name was Stan, and he took care of our every concern. While the overall quality of the food has both increased and decreased, depending on the item, we were still overall happy with the meal. The valet parking was good, though somewhat pricey at $15, and the meal has edged up to $42 per person for the prime rib buffet on Saturday nights. We'll still go again, but I would like to see some of the previous food items returned.

First time visit, and the GPI is unreal… What an entrance into the lobby, the room was great, the food was great, wife loved the spa, the views are fantastic, staff very helpful and friendly… Loved the visit!

Visited the hotel and grounds to look around. The views are incredible and the main part of the building is fantastic. The history of the many famous visitors and of the building itself are told through pictures and text throughout the main hallways. It was a very nice afternoon, the prices to stay in the hotel itself are bit on the crazy side however!

Not the place you remember as a child. Now owned by a large corporation. Service represents that. The employees I met that had been here for years were wonderful. But do not expect service at the level of a 4 star resort. It simply does not compare. The history is wonderful, but the original owners are gone. Don't expect to be served. Now, they treat you like you are lucky to be at a place so famous. The Omni is banking on the Grove Park name. Majority of staff are rude. If you want to relax and be able to ask (and pay) for whatever you like, then this is not your place. You will get average service. Do it for the ambiance. Not the service. Lackluster. Subpar. Unwilling to try to meet requests. Just try. But they don't, they don't have too. It's s corporation. You are just a number. I mourn the death of the Grove Park Inn. I'll forever remember the good days and times and it now. Now is. Or good enough for the name. So just call it Omni.

Fantastic! The only reason why I'm rating the Omni Grove a 4 is because when we initially arrived, they put us in the main building which was loud and a bit chilly due to poor insulation. Once we called downstairs and expressed our concerns, we were promptly relocated to a newer wing of the hotel. The rest of our 5 night stay was superb! Food, service, and the view was simply impeccable! We will be returning soon!

Service was impeccable. The spa was lovely, the arrwndants were kind and gave you privacy. The entire area was spotless and well worth the investment for a day of pampering. I had the collagen enhanced facial and it was so much more than I expected. My skin actually looked different! And they gave me a rose fory birthday and a glass of champagne.

Fantastic historic views and a beautiful building seeping with history. Friendly staff just add to the experience. Only issue during the stay was someone noisily cleaning room service trays at 4 am that woke up my wife and a valet who burnt the clutch up on our car. They say they will cover the charges, but we'll see how that plays out. Will stay again.

Everything was phenomenal. The room was beautiful-especially in the new part. The staff were friendly.
