Easy check in, plenty of parking, clean, basic room with everything we needed. For the price, we had no complaints. There were some rowdy guys out on the balcony for a while at night but they eventually went inside and quieted down. Would stay again though!

Generally good. They didn't have coins for the washer and dryer which was a real pain. It is budget accommodation and if you set your expectations appropriately you will be happy. Can open the windows which is fantastic. They only had a single table for breakfast. This means only one group can sit at a time. What happens when someone else comes in? They can't really enjoy their breakfast and it puts pressure on those seated to hurry up. Not very sensible.

Hikers paradise, cheap, 2 beds, and free breakfast.

We stayed here one night in April 2018 to get an early start on hiking the next day. The place was quiet and comfortable, which we were very thankful for. Additionally, it's a reasonable walk from town.

It has been an amazing experience. I wish I could stay longer. Their pool and hot tub are nothing short of perfect. I'm so happy we decided to come here.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and (most importantly) very affordable. Great for anyone going to the area on a budget. Would stay there again.

The place was pretty good and well kept the girl at the front desk was very friendly the staff as well but what keeps my ratings low is the key cards to my room I had to keep walking down the stairs to the front desk to have them reprogrammed they would only work two or three times before they stopped working again and it wasn't just me because they worked on the outside door every time and I heard other people having the same problem. I did keep my patients because again she was friendly at the front desk and tried to work with me, but this problem did test my patients.

Stay here only of there is no other place to stay. We were there for Stars on Ice. Temp was — 23 in the morning. Heat was set to night and we couldn't turn on to get extra heat. No comforter or additional blankets on bed. I read other reviews so brought my own blanket. Ended up using my down coat as additional blanket. Called when we got up to complain about the heat, guy came over 30 mins later. By then we decided to get dressed. As doing so, he showed up n told me I had it set to cold. I explained I tried to change the setting to get heat, so we could shower, but the knob was very hard to turn, n the instructions when followed, didn't result in heat but snow n cold air into the room. I turned knobs until air stopped. When he got it going, I asked him to show me what he had done. The dial black line was turned to 'off' position, which he said was Heat. The other dial was set to in-between cold n warm. He acknowledged the unit was too old to be in the rm. The dial was all messed up. We left for breakfast. The brk room was in the basement, people were eating on 6 ft. Folding tables, no linen. Food was cereal, bananas (none left), coffee n hot water, cheap pkg muffins, white bread, n pancakes. Coffee was good, went to get pancakes. Waited, waited, until machine came up empty. I told the girl who was just standing there looking at everyone, not replenishing or cleaning tables. She said she had to go make more batter.

A wonderful place to stay and ski! Would recommend. They have an indoor pool and jucuzzi as well as on-site laundry and a small selection to choose from for complimentary breakfast.

Clean rooms. Very affordable only minutes from downtown Lake Placid and high peaks attractions. Great staff.

An affordable hotel located 3 minutes from the Centre of Lake Placid. Décor and basic furnishings, but there was a lot of pressure in our shower, which was very appreciated!

You can't beat this hotel for the price. Clean rooms, nice indoor spa and pool (which is amazing after a long hike). Awesome customer service. The women working the front desk for super polite and always had a smile on their face. Could use an updated tv, it's an old box tv, but whatever it's just a tv. It got the job done. Free breakfast in the morning. All for $65 booked a few hours before showing up. Great location if you're looking to hike some mountains. Very close to lake placid. Hiked cascade and it was about 15 min from hotel I think.

1980’s era motel but clean. Full size rock hard beds. Forget the included all carbs breakfast. Disgusting extra blanket. Tv from the 1990’s. Priced right when other choices were limited.

I enjoyed my stay at Rodeway Inn and was treated very well by the owner and staff. You feel like it’s home away from home at Rodeway Inn. I appreciate how the owner and staff make you feel at home during my stay. Thank you Rodeway Inn! Wayne A.

I pulled into the rodeway inn around 10 pm on a Sunday night and they had a room available. The girl at the front desk was extremely kind and knew I was traveling alone so she gave me a room closet to the office so I'd feel more comfortable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I'm glad they had a room!

This is a budget motel. Nothing fancy. It is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. The beds are comfortable. It is handy to the town, 4 minutes by car or a 20 minute walk. It is good value for money and I recommend it for those who want to save money in a town where you're going to be outside most of the time anyway.

We stayed for 2 nights. The stuff are very friendly. The rooms could be better. There is no microwave in the room. The cleaning requires to be improoved.

Sheets had clearly not been changed from the previous guest (sweaty smell, drool spots on pillow). Carpet, comforters, and linens were all pretty dingy. Wifi signal didn't reach our room (we weren't that far from the center of the complex). No breakfast, no voucher/coupon for a local breakfast spot. Saving grace was the front desk clerk who was funny, kind, and gracious. It's hard to put on a happy face at the end of a long shift (been there! ) but he did. I wish I'd gotten his name — — five stars for that guy!

Lake placid did not seem like a destination for the darker skin which is sad and a late realization. That feeling does not carry inside the Rodeway Inn fortunately. Apart from that the hotel is a below average stay, the Wi-Fi would not work in the room we stayed in and the room smelled muddy but was clean. The staff was nice to provide information for the things to do. Room service was good as they cleaned up the room while we were gone.

No one would mistake this for a fancy hotel, but it is good for what it is, and priced accordingly.

Toilet was broke, had to reattach the chain for the drain flap in the reservoir and crimp it with pliers. Room really tiny, bathroom extremely tiny. No fans in the room. Basically what you expect from a cheap motel. Was fine for just sleeping in and heading out the next morning.

Budget friendly hotel… short drive to Lake Placid and other attractions… we had a good stay here.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean. A slight smokey or dry smell however not overbearing. The staff were polite and informative. Continental breakfast could use some work, as it was a little sparse. Had a really neat automatic pancake machine though. Check in and out was easy.

Stayed here in 2015 for our 2015 fall trip. Rooms were good and had no issues. Staff was helpful and they let our friend to check-in on request as reservation was on my name and he reached early. Breakfast was good which we had once as most of the time we left before 6 in morning. Would recommend this place if you are mostly going to be outdoor.

I booked 2 rooms for the marathon 2 months ahead , My gram got sick and has to go in the hospital so she can't go. I called and asked if they could try to rent 1 room and give us a refund even partial. Absolutely not they said. Wouldn't even attempt to rent the room. Not very nice people. Won't ever stay there again.

Good services and overall good value.

The rooms were OK. They were not the cleanest rooms. The breakfast was not great. I was hiking the high peaks and just needed a place to crash at night after a long day of hiking. It was fine for that. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay and you don't plan on staying in the room much it is a fine place to stay.

Was glad to find a good rate for a room so late at night, BUT later we were CHARGED $150 smoking fee when we certainly did not smoke in the room, building or even close to the building outside. GMs word against ours… not happy.

Rooms were good size, clean and comfortable beds. Pool is awesome. Close to downtown, shuttle is free and runs most of the day. Easy check in, great price, will stay again.

Location is minutes away from downtown, is clean and has a great pool & hot tub.

Great Place, Great Attitude, Superb location! After a long day's hike up Mt Marcy just down the road, this was the perfect place to crash for the night. The folks at the front desk couldn't have been moor helpful, and, the location was in one of the nicest towns I can think of. Great ending to a perfect hike!
