Great place to stay! Friendly people. Great views!

The staff were wonderfully friendly. The room we stayed in needed minor repair. The bathroom door had no door jam latch. The satellite TV kept freezing and finally the continental breakfast was held in the Inns bar. The location was beautiful though. The room was clean and presentable. Really liked the wood floors in the room, it gave it a ole time feeling taking me back to being a kid on vacation. All in all it was a good experience.

This hotel has a great view of the hudson river! Only stayed one night but it was good.

A good motel if you need to be in the area. It is nothing fancy, but it's safe & rooms are clean. A short drive or walk to the hidden gem of Peekskill's waterfront park. As well as the on site restaurant there are many local restaurants, bars, delis & shops only a short distance away, walkable for many or a short drive. The staff have always been very attentive & kind.

Beautiful location. Great rooms. Really enjoyed our stay here.

I love this place. The peace, scenery and workers are so pleasent. I started off with two nights. Ended up staying two more. I'll be back real soon.

Great location in relation to Bear mountain. Affordable. Nice staff. Room is average for a motel.

My husband and I have been here 3 times over the last 6 years. Always for family reunions. Great place with a beautiful view. They’ve done renovations since our last visit. Now there’s a great restaurant too. Glad we continue to come back.

Very shabby hotel, obviously not updated in a very long time. Breakfast was very basic, self service "continental" (pastries, bagels, cereal). On check out the receptionist was obnoxious and was shouting that they wouldn't have taken a deposit when we booked (they did take a significant deposit! ). Other customers were watching us and she basically called us liars at the top of her voice. Zero stars would have been more appropriate, but one is the minimum.

We only stayed one night. However, the pool wasn’t filled and rather gross. The TV went out and froze. The beds were so loud when you turned (like plastic wrap crinkling) and the frame itself was so wobbly I was sure it would break. The only highlight was the view and the park located at the bottom of the hill. (No I didn’t let mgmt know. Again only one night)

Sent my co-workers here for a meeting in the area based on not terrible reviews and the Holiday Inn being sold out. They woke up with bed bugs and opted to throw all their clothes away. A refund was not requested as it doesn't repair the damage done. This is just a warning for future guests.

Great view, Could not use pool. Had issue with cable connection. Nice Restaurant. Good price.

THIS HOTEL DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN 1 STAR! Looks beautiful from the pictures but in the case looks can be more than just desieving! Was told we were getting king sized room with king sized bed along with balcony view of the river. All I got was a view of the sketchy people drinking outside my room and another building. Was charged over $200 then double charged again along with random extra $40 that I did not agree to. All for a room that had stains on the bed sheets, walls, and doors. The bathtub had mildoo along with black mold. The fridge has black mold along with the air conditioner. When I opened the closet doors a cluster of MOTHS flew at me. There was a door that looked broken into inside the hotel room that leads to another neighboring room… at first the staff argued when we asked to get out money back saying we used the room because we were in there for 15 minutes… ***BOTTOM LINE DONT BOTHER AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Clean room. Good bed. Quaint/dated, depending on how u look at life. Windows open which I like but the screen was cut. Very nice helpful staff. Shower was nice.

Quaint, scenic hotel, on the river. Nice rooms, though somewhat dated. Excellent restaurant, but not open for breakfast. Hotel has Continental breakfast.

First desk lady is rude and the guy isn't any better. Rooms decent still needs a better update. Low water pressure and barely hot water. It's decent because of its location and view.

The only real positive is that the staff I interacted with were nice. But the vents had black mold in them, the toilet was backed up when we got there, and the beds were pretty uncomfortable. Was glad to be gone.

Staff is very friendly had to change room because the heating problems and a leaky toilet. On my last day there was a guy yelling outside for 1 hour he had the room next to me. Pricing was good for me and close to where my friend lives.

We came into town for the night for a concert at the Paramount. This place was perfect. About a five-minute ride to the Paramount and spectacular views. It certainly helped that we lucked into a 70-degree day in February. We were even treated to a free show the morning after a concert as we watched a truck make a 478, 318 point turn to try and get out of the parking lot.

Beautiful spot to stay! Views are iconic and rooms are clean and tidy! Comfortable, quiet and peaceful while visiting my husband that travels for work!

Had an amazing time! Was really pleased with the spacious rooms and the view was breath taking! Parking was great. Had alot of things to carry and went from my car straight to the door to my room! Also there is alot of places to go and enjoy nature close by.

Clean rooms and wonderful views, but the bed we had was awful and because there was no way to control the temperature we roasted all night. We visited in the winter, so the AC had been turned off, which is understandable, but the heat pouring out of that damn unit was absurd. We spoke with other guests and their rooms had the same problem.

We picked up the location as the mid-point between a Washington DC burb and Bedford MA. As such, it didn't require too much driving just to get there, and it's close to the (probably) cheapest Hudson bridge ($1.25). We could walk from there to enjoy a vegan friendly dinner. In the morning we walked to the Lincoln Depot Museum (closed for renovation, although our intention was just to look from outside). The room was clean on arrival, staff is friendly, and they serve a reasonable free breakfast, although you'll have to pay for hot food. On the down side, the room was nowhere like pictured on the web site. The window faces a walkway and unless the curtain is down, other guests can peek into the room. You'll need to unplug equipment if you wish to charge your electronics near the bed. The walls are razor-thin — you can clearly hear conversations in adjacent room or cars warming up outside. It is somewhat pricey for what you get.

I come home to NY every 3-4 months. Over this past summer, I had a horrible experience here with a one night stay. There was a fire a few nights before my check-in and no one bothered to call to notify me. I was placed in the next available room after the fire rooms. There were no alternative rooms available and everywhere else was booked. After a night filled with a broken a/c and breathing the fire smell, my son and I both woke up sick the next day. A review was left and answered by the general manager to call before I came next time and s/he would make good. I left 4 voicemails, finally booked my two night stay and arrived very late this evening. Front desk staff was very friendly, room is disgusting. The carpet looks like a crime scene aftermath. The bathroom door is painted in so many layers, it no longer closes. There were drops of BLOOD! on the bathroom wall. The blinds are torn, curtains are ripped. On a positive note, if you want to drink a beer while on the toilet, there's a bottle opener on the back of the door. Never again, Inn On The Hudson. I will book my future trips back home somewhere else.

We had the very end Corner Room and it was horrible no carpeting at all on the floor not even a rug to wipe our feet before we get into bed and the driveway was literally 1 foot, of course the wall separated us, from the driveway. Just a foot away from our head of our bed it was in a rugged rough condition paint was peeling in the bathroom and it wasn't very nice I or I should say we did not like the place although the people in The Breakfast were very nice but the food was typical and unedible.

A delightful, enchanting hotel with all the comforts of a well run hotel. Family run, not a corporation which is why it was so charming and why they treat their guests as though they are friends. Room was small but immaculately clean, and comfortable; and tastefully decorated in simple earth tones. Small but inviting bathrooms with great water pressure for the best shower ever;individual temperature controls in each room, breathtaking views of the Hudson, with refrigerator and microwave. Hotel set on its own private property like a fine, private estate away from any other commercial properties. Attractive bar area in the dining room. A generous continental breakfast is served in the main dining room included in the price of your room; tables with unobstructed views of the Hudson. Parking available right in front of your room. A welcome retreat to embrace you after a day exploring the Hudson area. An absolute bargain and the perfect place to stay on the Hudson to complete your visit.

Came on weekend for 1 night staying. Was sooo surprised when next morning at 9 am cleaning lady just came in the room! I think they should have some info that no need to disturb 1 night guests for the cleaning?! Woman on reception was extremely rude let's say they charge 169$ for the night so not too cheap. And she doesn't even let us leave our bag packs for few hours while our hiking. We bought some heavy souvenirs on day before. And we came without car. It's really rude. Never see this kind of service even in hotels cheaper then this. Hot breakfast is cost 5 $ And mixed fruits was addled that morning. So we ordered omelets, And it was really delicious! I put star for that. Stuff in restaurant was also really nice. We had a lunch there on previous day too.

Very clean and tidy, new carpeting and paint, lots of comfy bedding with your choice of pillows. Front desk staff were kind and attentive. It is near the train tracks, but the horns are not a problem once you're snug for the night. Prices are very reasonable. Would be happy to stay again.

Cute place right off the highway. Convenient. The food in the restaurant was exceptional.

Inn On The Hudson has a serene and relaxing atmosphere. All of the staff are warm and welcoming to all, hospitable throughout my entire stay and I am looking forward to returning.

Great view. Convenient location, lots of great restaurants within walking distance, including on site. Only complaint is that the amenities in the rooms are too old, and the rooms can be noisy from the road.

Friendly staff, great cute king room. Views were very nice and the whole place has a vintage charm.

Please, Inn On the Hudson, renovate your antiquated bathrooms and create a cleaning checklist for your staff. There's so much potential for this place, if you just made sure the rooms were cleaned thoroughly and up to date. You'd receive much better reviews and more service if you invested more money into the rooms and your staff.

It has a beautiful view. Very beautiful hotel but our "non-smoking" room was a smoking room at one point in time and it still had the smell. The sheets had tons of pubic hairs in it. Wasn't particularly happy with the room and couldn't wait to leave.

Though the atsmophere of the hotel as a whole was beautiful and we have a great view, the non-smoking rooms were smoking rooms at one time and there's no getting rid of smell.

Clean rooms with an absolutely beautiful view. The staff are a bit sassy and the breakfast is nothing to call home about but it's a nice place overall.

I don't know where they got picture of rooms; but my room looked nothing like that… The staff are rude and lie; said they were looked but allowed me to check in and pay for days that was supposedly sold out. When I went to check out due to supposedly booked, I was avised they were not booked. Then this person was the only employ that try to keep my business and realized that they would make more money on me staying there for 4 months then someone staying a night or two. The room was nasty, needs new carpeting, whoever is there handy man or contractor has no pride in there work, I wish I would of thought to take picture for this review of carpet and the hand work. The beds are hard as rocks and very uncomfortable, pillow bring your own that is the nicest thing I can say. Room can be a lot cleaner. The only thing going for this motel is it is on the Hudson River, I didn't see any bugs…

Great place for over night stay, nothing super fancy. Room was small and clean, bed was creaky but comfy and lots of channels on TV.

The location is fantastic, great views, cool town. Rooms are cleenish, a bit dingy.

My wife and I stayed here one night last year. Fine accommodations. Property overlooks Hudson river. Was a little pricey, but you're 35 miles from Manhattan.

Hard to charge devices as outlets are on switches and only charge when lights are on. The front desk staff is not professional. The continental breakfast is packaged food with nothing fresh. I asked if the donuts and pastries were fresh. As they were not individually wrapped. They said they had been sitting in the case for several days. Eeww. This killed us, we have small children walking all around. There is poison ivy growing all around the parking lot and even in their planters. This seems ridiculous. When we arrived in our room, the a. C. Filter was pulled out and filthy, as if the staff forgot it on their way out the door. The bed was hard. We expected two queens when we asked for two beds. But what we got was two double beds. This place needs that TV show 'Hotel Impossible'.

I do not normally write letters to the establishment or an online review but for The Inn on the Hudson I felt like I needed to. I was in Peekskill for a friends wedding, he had booked multiple rooms at this inn which assured the entire guest list the rooms would be ready by 1pm so we all could make the wedding by 2pm even though check in was at 3pm. I arrived at 110pm and was greeted by a woman at the front desk who was clipping coupons out of a newspaper, never did she look up at me when she was speaking to me, nor did she allow us into the room. She told us that she knew about the clause for the wedding but the rooms were not ready and check in is at 3pm so come back. This forced my wife and I to change for a wedding in the parking lot of the venue. Around 830pm we came back from the wedding and was finally allowed to check in. The gentleman at the desk at this hour was magnificent. He helped us, was polite and a pleasure to be around. We got our room in no time and found it to be an ok room. It was nothing special but a place to spend the night. Rooms are outdated but clean, there was little water pressure but it met our needs for the evening. Next morning we had our free breakfast in their lobby which is a makeshift section of the front room by check-in which a couple chairs. It definitely did not make us feel like we were in a lobby of a well respected inn. More like a drive by motel on the side of a back road.

Rooms are average and bathrooms are very dated and tight quarters. And it looks like they painted with a butter knife. Pool is OK, and the views of the Hudson are decent but not breath taking. But its a good price for what you get.

Clean and beautiful rooms. No King size. Onsite restaurant. Good address.
