Room had a very old smell. The coverlet had stains all over it. What it was, I have no idea. The water felt like, I was taking a shower in a dry wine. When I called the office for more towels (2 at check in, for 2 people who take showers p. M. And a. M. Yes I did hang them but they are still wet this a. M. ) I was told they do not have anyone for that to come down and get them. I normally stay at a Hampton Inn which is worth the few extra dollars but the one across the highway was sold out. This "Inn" was well over priced at $165.00. Breakfast was toast, cereal, empty juice bar, muffins, HB eggs and bananas. The exit door is just that… an exit door. The card reader on the outside does not work. Yes, I slept in my cloths. The 2 stars I gave them was for the roof not leaking. Then again it wasn't raining. It is sufficient, when you have no where to turn… I should have turned into the rest area and saved the $165.00

This place is clean and close to all major attractions. Plus they give you a daily pass to get to where you need to go. Beat place to buy your souvenirs too. Oh. If you have a family member with a disability but likes to get in the pool, it is equipped with a chair to assist you to get into the pool. Quiet place. Bus or trolley leave you right in front of the place.

Nice place to stay at a low budget.

Real nice owners. Very friendly and kind. We call the male housekeeper "smiley" because he is always smiling. Nice rooms with carpet and great heaters. If you want your room like a sauna, no problem! Will stay here again and again. Word to the wise, do not — stay — at the econo lodge in corning. Worst service I've ever had! And, I've been traveling for 22 years.

If you're looking for a clean room but no frills this is a place to go. Reasonable rates decent TV microwave and refrigerator all on board.

Failed FIRE SAFETY 101! Fire doors between corridors and stair towers were chocked open with wooden wedges. Any smoky fire would send smoke throughout the building and would spread past the intended fire breaks. The room was clean but old and weary. Limited electric outlets, had to reach very awkwardly behind desk to get to one. Only two light bulbs for the entire room meant it was dark. Sheets had a cross seam right where your toe hits, as if a "queen" sheet had been extended 2' to make it a "king" sheet by sewing s strip across the bottom, never saw that before. Bathtub dripped at a very constant one per three second rate, not quite as good as counting sheets — actually quite annoying until the bathroom door was closed. Internet would not connect to my laptop, and I'm an electronics engineer who usually can get such things going. It did connect to my cell phone but pages loaded slow. It had trouble loading a weather map, streaming anything was out of the question. I would pay up and go for a slightly more upscale place the next time.

A bit rough around the edges, taps were a bit rusty and the decor was dated. But it was clean and had breakfast so a good choice if you're on a budget.

The rooms and common areas are kept impeccably clean, especially the bed and bathroom. Rooms are well lit and plenty of outlets are available. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, and reasonably fast free Wi-Fi. Only the free breakfast is a little lackluster, but a fair trade-off for the price and the scenic location at the junction of two highways, nestled between a few hills. I would definitely choose this place again if I'm on the same route.

Good place to stay for the price. The building is a little older, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and continental breakfast are all great to get in a less expensive Inn.

At first I was very skeptical. I went in and there was no one at the desk I was about to walk out and go across the street. But then I met guy and after speaking with him for a minute I picked up that this is a family owned and operated hotel. I was blown away when I went into the room. The place was very clean! NO MOLDY SMELL! BATHROOM AND SHOWER WAS CLEAN! This place has all the comforts of home including a flat screen, couch, microwave and fridge! I'm not big on leaving reviews unless the place is really good or really bad… This place definitely made me take the time out of my day to come back on here and post this… That being said stop reading the other reviews and come here! You can thank me later! Also for the record I was NOT paid to write this!

I read all the reviews on this place before booking it. I was a little concerned based on what everyone was saying. Seems several people were not satisfied. I am writing this review in the hope that if you are planning on staying here, DO IT. The rooms were fine. Everything worked, it was clean, every one was friendly, I liked the FREE breakfast. Frankly at this price I think it's a steal! Good night's sleep!

I would not have noticed dirty sheets or uncleaned room but my wife did. The room was cleaned just not after last guests checked out. Seemed house keeping just made beds. Bonus was beer left in fridge.

Decent place for price beds were comfortable Breakfast was ok frozen waffles, toast, cereal, milk, juice. And muffins.

Older building. Clean. Not a large chain, but a well-kept place. Convenient to food, shopping and not too far from Watkins Glen International Raceway.

Very friendly and professional staff. Very clean and comfortable room with fast Wifi. Very good value for our money. We can warmly recommend the Corning Inn and we will definitely stay there again in the future.

This is one of the nastiest motels I have ever stayed in. All the towels, sheeting, pillows and blankets are so old and stained. They are yellow. Pillows have bloodand drool stains. The blankets in the no smoking room have cigarette burns. The only thing that has been replaced in this room in the last 10 to 20 years is the tv. It has a nice TV but every thing else is scary.

Staff is really nice but towels were old and stained, room smelled odd, water damage in the bathroom.

It's a place to sleep and not much more. Room had a funky smell, but was relatively clean. Place could use some updating. Front desk was NOT very accommodating… 4 people in the room, only 3 towels and refused to give us 2 extra towels. Apparently having to wash that one extra towel was unacceptable. Made us feel like he thought we would steal it. Breakfast was sparse. All starch and no protein. Frozen waffles, toast, cereal, muffins, bananas, juice and coffee. Basically, if you're looking for a cheap place to sleep, this will work. If you want a place to sleep that feels accommodating, is fresh and sparkling clean and doesn't make you feel like a thief for asking for 2 extra towels, spend a few extra bucks and go elsewhere.

Good place for the price.

It'sThe place is definitely worth of value. We booked a room for two people it’s only $64. The room has everything, fridge, coffee/coffee maker, microwave and is clean. The breakfast has variety, waffle, toast, cereal, banana, juice, milk, coffee etc, hopefully will have apple and egg in future. We fully recommend the motel to people who travel by or want to stay in town (the Coring Class Museum is nearby).

Very Good value motel. Older, but well maintained and clean. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive room.

This hotel was a good bargain. We got two rooms for about $140. The rooms and hallways were clean. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The A/C in our rooms worked fine. The bathrooms were clean and in good working order. It's not a five-star hotel, but it is a nice hotel, especially for the price. Oh, and if you're looking for a place to eat breakfast if you stay at this hotel, go to the Jelly Beans restaurant just down the road from the hotel.

Came through this way on a motorcycle trip. We needed a place to stay near Corning. It was very easy to book the rooms. Quick, helpful check-in process and many restaurants to choose from. The rooms were clean, adequate and affordable. I will be staying here again.

For the itinerant worker who drives in weekly, to stay for a few nights, this place is the absolute best. The housekeeping staff take extra efforts to keep everything tidy. An older motel, with a few bare threads showing in a few places, but it's more than made up for with clean rooms, good beds and linen, good prices, and nice people. Other motels in the area can cost double or even triple the price, and frankly those other places aren't worth the higher price. I'm extremely pleased with this lovely place, and it's my regular stay when I'm in the Corning area.

As a person who travels a lot. And 1 who stays in budget hotels often this one ranks number 2 for cleanest. The room had a few short falls, nothing serious though. The desk. Clerk was very friendly and helpful with directions. Location is great, just off Hwy 15 and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Last is they have parking for big vehicles or vehicles with trailers.
