Just came from a wedding at the Ravel. Nice looking place, however the cocktail hour had little to no air conditioning in the lobby area. Everyone was sweating and complaining about the humidity and heat (as New Yorkers do). Only one bar open with very slow inexperienced bartenders. They should have had two areas of cocktails and perhaps buckets of self serve beers/water for those simply looking for a cold drink/brew. Took over 40 minutes to stand on a line waiting for a drink while wiping sweat from my forehead. Bartenders seemed confused while serving wine in beer glasses. Reception hall was a bit humid with poorly controlled air conditioning. The valet crew were excellent! Nice guys always looking to help. House staff was friendly. Friends made it a good time wedding party.

I booked a one night stay after my flight out of JFK was canceled. Having no expectations, I was pleasantly surprised with a large, comfortable hotel room and a nice dinner menu. The front desk staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The vibe is young and hip here, but I didn't have any problems with noise on the first floor. Thank you for making a travel inconvience into a mini vacation.

I was very happy with my six night stay at Ravel. The staff was incredibly friendly and funny, the shuttle service is convenient for a quick ride and pick up from the train stations, and the view of Manhattan from our balcony window was a dream. There was a nice breakfast in the morning, and a very eager housekeeping staff, so make sure you put the “do not disturb” sign on your door if you don’t want them knocking at 9 am. (Pretty sure housekeeping set our hotel alarm clock for 6 am because it went off our final morn The music from the rooftop bar could be heard and felt on occasion, but it didn’t keep me awake on the third floor. It wasn’t as much of a nuisance as the night worker jackhammering across the street one night. However, moments after I notified the front desk, I believe they asked the worker to quit, because it went silent for the night. Overall, would stay there again. No question. It was beautiful, clean, and welcoming.

I booked last minute, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to give us a room with a beautiful view. It’s a really clean hotel, smells good. And the room was full of goodies and drinks. Ayyeee. First time at this hotel, and I’m definitely coming back again!

Really nice room and very friendly and accommodating staff. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we stayed in a second floor room and with the nightclub going all-night, the room was just too noisy for any rest. I'd say definitely stay if you are going to party — but maybe stay somewhere else if not.

Had an amazing dinner there. The staff is absolutely perfect and we actually had a few laughs with some of them. The pineapple fried rice is amazing as well as the sliders. Perfect place for a date and the view of the city is remarkable. I cant wait to go back.

The hotel was so beautiful! The staff was super friendly. Everything was extremely clean and it smelled so nice inside. The room we had was better than I could have imagined! The view from our balcony was breath taking! In a nice part of NYC so there wasnt that much noise but still close enough to the main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to NYC! Great job! :)

Great City view from Queens. Parking lot with basket or Street parking. This hotel has a large ballroom and a terrace restaurant on top floor with great views. Nice place to hold am event and have guest stay overnight. Nice for a weekend getaway.

Nice hotel wit industrial design medium breakfast + the only downside of this hotel is the remoteness of the Metro station, a must walk to access the hotel offers a shuttle, valid for access to a metro station.

They speak Spanish. Very friendly and attentive. The rooms are large and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel. Very chic. Unfortunately noisy. The temperature of the rooms is operated by a very noisy ventilation. Veeeery Loud! You have to make the TV ultra loud, otherwise you won't hear anything.
Because we couldn't sleep like that, we made up at night. Woke up in the morning at 16, 7 degrees.
No skyline view as hoped, despite room change and extra charge (in smaller room! ). What a pity. Queens is also nice, however the view was the reason to book here. For people who have saved hard, like me, this is really disappointing.
You have to be lucky with the rooms.
The rooms themselves are nice.
But again, I have to repeat, we had a super stylish 2 queen bed room with huge and gorgeous bathroom. (OK, 2nd floor on the street overlooking a brick building). Then a much smaller one with a kingsize, much smaller and not so gorgeous bathroom. For $25 a night more, and outlook towards Queens and Manhattan neckline. Hotel in front of… Well, I would have known that before, I would not have booked here.
There is nothing in the area. Industrial area.
Again hotel and rooms in themselves are very appealing. I want to stay fair.

Great room, nice location, moderate prices.

Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed by a very friendly and helpful staff. We got an upgrade for the room and ended up with a room on the west side of the hotel with really nice view on Manhattan. Rooms are clean. When the coffee machine didn't work, we had a new one within minutes. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Just outside Manhattan with a few minutes walk to the subway station. A free shuttle is also available. Next time we come to NYC, we will certainly think to book again!

We walked in and were greeted immediately. We didn't wait more than maybe 2 minutes go be seen by the front desk. The staff is very accommodating and explained rules etc very clearly. The room was gorgeous, we got an upgrade which was amazing. The room is clean, spacious and lovely. We will definitely book with them again. -Maria, Houston Texas.

This last visit to Ravel hotel was very unimpressive. First of all, our room had no heat! The thermostat on the wall was out of order so the hotel provided 2 space heaters to try and warm the room. Unfortunately the 2 heaters being used at the same time made the circuit breakers trip multiple times. I notified the hotel and each time it took approximately 15 minutes to get a staff member to get the power turned back on. Absolutely zero compensation was offered for this lack of heat. Worst part was that my room was in the new part of this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. Look into the wyndam garden or Z hotel which are in very close to Ravel.

Jaidev and Jonathan provided EXCELLENT service. I travel very often and they made everything so easy. Room was spotless! Very clean! Highly recommend!

Jaidev was amazing. The check in was amazing and very accommodating. I felt very welcomed and made like a family member. Handshakes are key. And they know how to be classy.

Excellent customer service, great stay for my 30th birthday. I had a lovely view over looking Manhattan where we could see the Empire State Building, Freedom tower and The Chrysler building. The room was gorgeous even though not much time was spent there. The breakfast is served on the top floor that also has a great view. The hotel provides a travel service to the local metro station, this was very helpful and gives a great start to the day when you already have sore feet from the previous day. Overall a very good experience, will hope to come back during the summer to enjoy the outdoor space that is available.

Beautiful Hotel. Comfortable. Spacious rooms. Good service and good breakfast. Horrible Wi-Fi. Zero connectivity. The cleanliness of the rooms half. The attention of the people in the morning impeccable because they spoke Spanish. In the afternoon null. I was never offered the tranfer to the subway. The hotel spotless the problem is to come and go from Manhattan. A lot of waste of time on the subway. Apart from the cost of the trip.

Absolutely beautiful retro industrial design that I like with amazing views of this great city. The staff was attentive, friendly and accommodate every request. We had a great time so definitely returning to enjoy that rooftop!

Very noisy for the parties in the Terrace Lounge. In winter you have to wait for the shuttle to get to the Metro. Only the river view and the price offers stand out.

Super view and excellent hotel in general.

A very nice hotel, very clean. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant upstairs is very nice although it's kind of pricey. I remember paying $55 for two drinks and an order of sushi. I was able to book one of the rooms that had an amazing view with a corner balcony that you can walk around. There are still some Renovations being done in the hotel, I believe that they are expanding. Even though I stayed in the winter time, I'm looking forward to actually enjoying the balcony, The View, and the room in general when the weather gets a little bit warmer.

The staff are super friendly and very accomodating. However, the room did not live up to the standards I expected. I reserved a king suite with a balcony and instead I got a box. Very nice furniture but the bed was extremely low and there was a Sliding door connected to the bathroom and closet which was a little odd for me. My balcony faced the project buildings across the street but I requested a city view. They quickly corrected it but now I faced the rooftop party area. Overall I was super excited to visit this highly talked about hotel but was quickly disappointed by the amenities. I would recommend better beds, it would make all the difference in a room.

Attended a wedding here. The views were magnificent, but that’s about all I can say about the place. The food was awful. Everything was salty beyond belief. The service was poor. We were rushed with every course. Servers oftener neglected to provide enough utensils for the whole table. Hard to find someone to refill water. Very basic things attending to the guests were absent. The food cane family style and although the food was poor, we didn’t like to waste food. We had large portions of food leftover and they said it’s wedding policy for no take out boxes. Wow! Talk about non-accommodating. Well, enjoy the view because certainly won’t be much else to enjoy.

I AM EXTREMELY UPSET I do not reccomend coming to this place if you have medical conditions, the manager at the front desk was very rude, the fat girl at the counter as well. They denied my stay for me smoking my medical medicine OFF of the property and coming back in with an odor. I have very bad anxiety and other conditions and I need this prescription in order to stay calm. I will be contacting my lawyers, and going to the news channels, we need rude hotels like this one to stop denying and treating people with disorders unfair. I am so upset, I usually never write reviews but I had to on this one. DO NOT COME HERE, I after went to Z hotel a few blocks away very nice view and the staff was very nice and welcoming and understood my medical conditions.

Went to Ravel Hotel for my company's holiday party. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was good and plentiful although mostly seemed generic and almost like someone went to trader Joe's and got lots of frozen appetizers. The view from the space we rented out was amazing. Overall a great experience.

Great hotel. We stayed in a suite with a Manatthan view. The room was very large with large led TV, mini bar. The bathroom was spectacular with two large sliding doors that opened from the bathroom to the room creating a unique space… having bathtub and shower on view in the room is beautiful! Every day the staff cleaned thoroughly and always washed the floors. Excellent cosmetics products from the New York Beekman line. The location The manager Alexander was present and very sympathetic. The shuttle was leaving every half hour from the lobby and taking us free of charge around. The drivers always friendly… At the stop coming down to open the door making us feel VIP.
Having wanted to stay overnight one more night they made us a mega discount to not let us change hotels.

Beautiful view of Manhattan and really nice room. Lovely and friendly staff but we had to use a old fashion key because our bedroom hasn't a Key-card, the hotel has no guest laundry and breakfast was "ok". It’s not far of public transport but at night is not very beautiful neighborhood but hotel offers transportation in some hours (morning).

They are sold as a hotel with Wi-Fi, breakfast with a view of Manhattan… and nothing else to get to the room, there was one with the table lamp broken supported to the wall, the heating with a noise that impossible makes sleep and it is better to have it turned off, the Wi-Fi in depending on which plant falls every two by three, breakfast was in the entrance hall, that there were customers standing waiting to catch table as there is no for everyone, on my roof I would hear the dishwasher from the kitchen as I had it on my floor, and the worst away from the Metro stop in a polygon that looked more like a car dump. In my opinion 150 excessive dollars for the relation quality/price.

Hotel in the middle of nowhere, away from the Metro stop, noisy, breakfast included but bad, hard bread and, at least during my stay, is not on the terrace as promised but on the bass overlooking the parking lot. Absurd deposit of $150. Free Wifi whose connection is constantly falling. Air conditioning that makes a terrible noise that prevents sleeping… Overall bad though clean and whose only advantage is that it is the most affordable near Manhattan.
By the way, the staff no languages, they are sold as they speak several and nothing at all. Hotel disappointment, nice photos and nothing else.

A four star hotel whose staff questions me when I request toiletries for a male and female, no laundry or dry cleaning service after hours, and the restaurant isn’t open during the week. It’s also not within walking distance of anything interesting or public transport. Also, the room I’m in does not have a level floor and it’s giving me vertigo. Huge fail. You’re better off staying in a three or four star near Times Square. And, the deposit Vs. The amenities is stupid high @ $150.

If you're in the city during the week days, this hotel could be one of the best options. However, try to avoid it as much as you can during the weekend, the noise from the club is awful and it lasts until after midnight. I don't know how the hell would anyone would enjoy a quite night in this hotel? Also the area is not as good as I expected it, no near groceries nor restaurants, you gotta have a car to. There are plenty of free public parking around and you don't have to worry about that.

The 5th floor Suite with the view of new York is amazing. There's a rooftop club but the noise isn't that bad. The shuttle service is great. All the drivers were friendly and polit. Everyone was knowledgeable about nearby areas to eat. There's a dinner that delivers food to your room 24 hrs a day. For my first time in NY this was a great place to stay. I will definitely come back…

Valet staff were VERY incompetent … well, the ENTIRE staff. You'd think due to the fact you are being PAID to park my car you'd have the common decency and etiquette to open and close the doors for the passengers. My bf & I decided to check this place out, we arrived 30 minutes prior our reservation time which was at 9:00 pm. The Hostesses weren’t very polite they were all over the place and didn’t even take the time out to fully acknowledge us. We were however seated shortly. The table that was assigned to us was very tiny with lounge chairs, for me this was uncomfortable so I asked the hostess if I could have a different table. She expressed that I would have to wait about 20 minutes. I didn’t want to wait however I saw a table open up and asked the waitress to consult the hostess so I could move. I was told by the waitress that I cannot move due to backed up reservations, I honestly do not know what the reservations had to do with us moving to a different table but WHATEVER! … My boyfriend ordered the Atlantic salmon with side order of home fries, I ordered the coconut curry bouillabaisse which came with shrimp, scallops & clams. I don’t eat clams or scallops so I asked for replacement of shrimp. We also ordered vegetable spring rolls as appetizer. In around 20 minutes they brought out the main courses, no appetizer no sides and no extra shrimp!

Hotel absolutely to be avoided, unfriendly staff, open from Thursday to Sunday night club, impossible to sleep. Bad noise isolation, frequent passage in the corridors of a night club (cry and laugh). Work in the hotel that starts early in the morning, personal of the noisy hotel (speaks Spanish fort, walkie talkie), unbearable bedding. Back problem, bad nights (I am 27 years old, never had a problem with DOS) to conclude seller of food and everything else at the foot of your window. I sleep all the year in hotels of the professional travel. I have never seen anything like this. Avoid absolutely.

Worst place that I been I went for that Rooftop party and the security toll that I was dress enough to get in. And I had purchased my ticket online.

At first. I walked in its nice for the surrounding neighborhood. Just about 4 — 5 blocks away you have housing, other words THE PROJECTS on a dead street. Parking very small. Room good No issues. Food from room service in hotel. Ok. Menu prices not accurate, Excuse was sorry Sushi not good. Situation. Woke up had flat called insurance to come fix it. Around 11am. It was a storm outside. 11am receptionist called to leave. I explained they said ok. 12pm they called I told them tow truck not here yet. They said ok. Finally around 230pm all was done, went to check out. Was charged $75.00. They said its policy and all hotels do it. I have been all over, in every type of hotels, actually I travel for work. About 10 days per month I'm in a hotel. Only the small cheesy hotels are knocking on your door. And waiting for you to get out, but never charge you. They did not explain on the phone they will charge All they said ok. All hotels have that policy, but they don't enforce it. After a snow storm and flat tire they charge, WOW, WOW oh WOW. Thats greed. Have some sympathy. Manager and receptionist agreed to charge. I left and decided not to board there anymore. So they can keep those $75.00 and use it on better employment. I had to explain in short term because they don't allow it here to be that long. Thanks. Name Billy Gonzalez so Ravel can know who I actually am, I even told them I will post this. Amazing view of the city! Loved the ambience, drinks and food. I would've liked more options of food but overall I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to enjoy an afternoon or evening with a phenomenal view.

Very friendly staf, helpful with problems. Shuttle service to Subway is very good. Nice room with great vieuw over Manhattan, stayed on 4th Floor And had minor problems with noice from roofbar (just 2 nights of 10) major problems with party people next to us.

The staff isn't very helpful. Even though they had my credit card registered they still take a 100$ deposit, (which they told me was a 150$ deposit), which they posted on my receipt as 100$. They failed to tell me at check-in to pick up my deposit at check out because I paid cash. And when I checked out I double checked with the concierge if my deposit would post back on my credit card in 2-3 business days and she confirmed yes. The room was average at best. Don't expect a great view of the city if you don't have a top floor room and facing the city. Cable television was completely out don't expect them to care. Customer service will leave you on hold for 20min and then hang up on you even though you remain respectful. When you finally get through they aren't helpful. The manager will never be available to discuss the situation. I am now waiting to hear back from them, but I doubt that would happen as well. The worst customer service experience I have ever faced.

Site promises much, however, in reality a run-down 4 star hotel. Maximum of 3 stars! That's why also the price-performance ratio is wrong. But the shuttle service and top views of the Manhattan skyline are pluses. Dinner is top, but not to recommend the morning buffet.
