This hotel is an amazing place to stay, not only for its location but also for its staff which is always here for you and who anticipates your needs.
Furthermore, the rooms are very spacious and so comfortable!

Great location. Excellent staff. A slightly dated hotel that needs to be restiling. Who then has the misfortune to have a room that from nothing trumpet inside the building, as we will have to endure day and night, the noises of the numerous air conditioners that are placed there in the 10 floors of the hotel. Good price. Recommended? Ni, as far as our personal experience is concerned, two months after returning, we have not yet had the bail in place for any damage that may have been caused. Clarify this when you arrive and have a bail receipt.

The 2 night stay was somewhat disappointing — very low ceilings, dark and small space overall… not good for families. Rooms not well maintained… bathroom ceiling, fabric walls dirty. Front desk called to ask if we were pleased, I voiced my displeasure and he said okay. Why would you ask if you dont really care?

Nice hotel with clean rooms, although small. The hotel has a modern chic vibe to it which is cool. Great location, only about a ten minute walk to Times Square. Go around the corner and eat at Connelly’s Pub-great food and drinks!

Daniel and his team at the Shoreham are an elite group committed to excellence and ensuring their guests have a absolute amazing experience. This is our second time staying in the city and both times at the Shoreham. First visit we got engaged and now we’re here celebrating our first anniversary and both times the staff went out of their way to make our visit and stay extra special and memorable. Not to mention the location is absolutely perfect. We will NEVER think about staying anywhere else!

My company got me a king size suite. The room is a nice size but no living area. The bathroom is huge with lots of mirrors. The customer service is great and I would stay here again.

Quiet room in the back. Very small, however. There wasn't even room to put the chair at the desk. To My bathroom, but a good sized shower. I would stay here again, though… just not with anyone else, can't imagine 2 people in the room.

Mouth care a 4 star never life hides missing light the acsenceurs are well damaged the room very veillisante this is not by putting a large screen (blurry at the passage) that it gives more hidden.
The breakfast BOF the melon had to be on sale during our passage except that not ripe.
The bathroom only one shampoo for two BOF average.

Came in for one night, check in was really great (hence the 2 stars), I was given a room right behind the elevators (409) and right over the exterior fans. I thought the A/C was loud, so I turned it off, but those fans outside sounded like the A/C in the room was on full power. TV was blurry, I called down, they sent someone up that basically told me that the signal was weak and there was nothing they could do. Remember that the room was right behind the elevators? So every time the elevator went past the room there was a single knock. The first time I thought it was the door, but it was the elevator. Room doesn't have a full length mirror, just the elevated bathroom one. Lastly, on check out I was waiting for the lady to ask me how my stay was, nothing. Just thank you for staying with us. In short, I'll never be staying here again (I do 100+ nights a year in NYC)

Absolute worst hotel I’ve been in due to early morning drilling and grinding right outside my window for the past 3 days now. Really small not even a break for the noisy construction the vibration was moving things in the room due to the drilling and grinding that was all around my window I was woken up several times! NO fridge no milk no coffee maker not even usb points to charge your phone! No microwave 1 chair for for a 2 bedroom room doesn’t make sense! Absolutely TRAGIC! Not to mention I left something valuable to me under my pillows as something I always do and now they are gone thrown away not even left on the table or bench just thrown away like it was nothing I don’t understand why they would do such a thing! The only good thing was the manners from one guy at the front desk! Avoid this place like the plague! Also this morning I’ve found bed bugs in my sheets and have multiple marks on my body from then I’ve take. Photos.

The hotel is really good. Located very centrally and a lot of attractions (Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue etc. ) are within walking distance. For the price of about 400 euros for 4 nights you can not complain at all. Our 2-bed room with small bathroom was perfectly fine. Room service was also 1A and the staff (concierge) were all very nice and helpful. The only criticism is the bar in the house (Aqua 55). We had the worst breakfast ever today, for 43 dollars. Clapped coffee and a buffet which is so ridiculous. A menu is also available, but the staff were unable to serve a dish from that menu. I regret having paid for this dirt at all, but on the last day I didn't have to have any extra stress.

The Shoerham Hotel in New York is conveniently located on the island of Manhattan, with Trump Tower, Central Park, MoMa or St. Patrick's Cathedral a few metres away.
The hotel is very clean and offers the possibility, although we have not chosen breakfast, to serve us infusions or coffee for free. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very spacious, all with plasma TV and Wifi.
It is ideal for visiting new York city with family or partner, having a very good experience with the accommodation and not spending a lot of money on it.

Shoreham was great. Everyone was friendly and overall lovely. The showers were amazing (3 jets and epic water pressure! ) and at checkout they OFFERED to hold our bags for us so we could explore the city with less on our backs. Definitely hope to revisit again!

Rooms were mostly quiet and offered room temperature controls. The shower was incredible with both above and side jets. Housekeeping was attentive and friendly, host/hostess staff were as well. Planning on staying there again!

This is the strange hotel. Near central park. But without freeze, microwave, coffee/tea and free Wi-Fi (high price! ). Our conditioner worked when it wanted, only one time in hour in 10 minutes for warm. Without breakfast! We could not open windows. Room was clear and big, price was very cheap. Friendly stuff. Strange man opened or didn't open a door of hotel)

Nicely situated near park and walking distance to theatre district. Room was good. Awful experience with out of control partying guests til 5am on same floor. Front desk was no help. Could have been 3-4 Stars. Follow up: original rating was 2 stars. Hotel called and offered a free night. Changed to 3 stars. Stay tuned.

It's an older NY hotel but very nice and clean. Don't expect major hotel chain amenities but still a hotel you'll enjoy and it's close to everything.

The perfect location… on 55th between 6th and 5th. Close to the park and Time square. From the person at front desk to room service… all nice & Clean room and good size for New York.

Shoreham is just the ''Best'' in the city. Best location — 5 minute walk to Central park, Rockefeller center, St James Cathedral. And other best places in NYC. Best restaurants around. Close from Time Square'' … Comfortable rooms for good price and Just best staff in the city, extremely professional and helpful.

Very good location. The attention of the service was not entirely adequate. They planned to relocate having rooms. The rooms are not very large but it is a quiet room.

By far one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. I really would of not complained if it was just the bad beds, dirty drawers and carpet. The fact that housekeeping went through my things makes me give them a 1 star. I wish I could put 0. They stole my wallet with my debit cards and ID and to top it all off they even took my kids birth certificates. Since we didn't use that wallet unfortunately we didn't notice until check out time. I've stayed in many states and even counties not once has this happened. I strongly suggest to be careful booking here and save yourselves a headache. Beware of the thieves at this location.

Definitely not a 4 star the positive the hotel is conveniently located: a 5-minute walk from a metro station, a 10-minute walk from Times Square, 7 minutes from Central Park; 2 minutes from the Trump Tower, 1 minute from 5th Avenue.
At the bar, the staff filled our bottles with fresh water in the morning. It was a good thing.
The negative we disenchanted as soon as we arrived in the room. Located next to the third floor, the room overlooks an inner courtyard just opposite and at the height of a huge wind tunnel… Very noisy! Also, the bathroom was tiny… just the place to lay the vanity!
We came in a group. We went down to share it with our guide. You couldn't change rooms, you had to wait until the next day.
First chaotic night: Impossible to sleep! Our son woke up at 4:00 a. M. Asking if he could go to sleep on the couches in the lobby!
First shower… no better… the water stagnated in the bathtub… forced to wait a little between two showers!
Anyway, in the morning we went to ask to change rooms. The receptionist asked us to pack. At lunchtime we are exceptionally back to the hotel to do the transfer. We came across a lovely receptionist who spoke French. At the head of my son, she realized that we had not slept. It was not possible to do the transfer as the rooms were not ready. We had to gather everything in the room and the staff would do the transfer.

The barmaid, Naomi is awesome. She makes her own fruit purees for her delicious, sophisticated feature cocktails. Great drinks, great mixologist!

Central and good restaurant, but! At the entrance you get $100 per day if you do any damage and do not see them until a week after leaving the hotel, noisy and interior rooms.

Maximum 2 stars… gloomy and gloomy room. Overlooking a tiny inner courtyard, non-ventilated room and with exhaust noises make it impossible to sleep. The walls and floors carpeted and the carpet with dirt, breaks and stains. All loose plugs and loose wires. At reception no one spoke Spanish and they were quite surly and very unwelcome. Less the girl Q was engaged in the transfers to the airport. The only good thing about the location. Hence the two stars of the valuation.

We stayed as a family of 8 in 4 rooms and found the hotel and the location on our part great. My husband and I were given a king room which was clean and comfortable with an out look over the street. Our other family members on the other hand had run of the house rooms and we had to beg for one bar fridge to share between all of us or else there was a charge of $ 25 each fridge! These rooms also had NO out look other than a brick wall or fire escape. One room also had so many maintenance faults, such as leaking water in the room and bathroom that they had to be shifted. The cost of wi fi at $ 15 is unacceptable too. And a coffee maker would be a nice touch. If these issues could be rectified or you get an upgraded room, then your laughing! (thank you Anthony at the front desk for doing your best to look after us)

Very positive personal experience in the very courteous lobby is available I recommend it to all great location between Central Park and Time Square.

My husband and I made a last minute plan to visit Ocean City Maryland, we found this hotel "The Shoreham" available to stay. We were not sure what to expect since it was last minute booking and had no other options! But, it was wonderful, Very clean, quiet and friendly! Did not hear any noise at all at night! Very peaceful! We will Definitely make this hotel our choice for all future visits, which will be annually! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Hello Management at Shoreham Hotel and everyone who wishes to stay here, I would like to share with you my recent experience with the Shoreham Hotel. I checked in on the 22nd of July and checked out at 4 am on July 23rd. During check in, my partner and I inquired about valet parking as we needed to depart by 4 AM. The day staff informed us that valet parking was accessible 24 hours and that we will have no problems with retrieving our vehicles any time of the day. We took her word for it and a lot attendant parked my vehicle away in a parade down the street from your hotel. The next morning, Anthony Gutierrez assisted us with check out and to our disappointment, he was unable to communicate with your appointed parking facilities to retrieve my car. We waited for over an hour and we still did not see my car come to the front. I had to physically walk to the parking facilities in the rain and ring the doorbell multiple times before someone finally came to attend to my concern. She informed me that Shoreham was supposed to text to retrieve cars while Anthony explained to us that calling was their only method for vehicle requisition. Both Anthony and the Parking attendant were unwilling to help and had little sense of urgency to say the least. In the end I had to be the messenger running back and forth in the rain while Anthony did little apply himself outside of the front desk other than to tell us that there was nothing he could do. This was NOT the set expectation.

The location is great! That being said, the place is old and a dump. Tiny rooms with no space for luggage. Not very clean. Staff was unfriendly. I would not go back! Also, you could hear the bar from your room.

Stayed for a night. Reasonable price in a decent location. Surprisingly not even a fridge in the room. Very basic if you need a place to crash. Oddly enough we arrived 2 hours before check-in, just to drop the bags, and they told us that out room was clean and ready but we could pay an addition $100 to get access to it. We declined, but it's the first time I've been told them room is ready but asked to pay to get it!

The hotel is extremely well located on the 55th. It is close to the Trump tower at a stone's throw from Times Square and two steps from the 5th.
The hotel is clean and has Wi-Fi.
The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious.

Location about perfect. Hotel ok. No free Wifi in room (I think it was 12$ /day) But we found away go around this… connect to free Wifi at Lobby and go to your room… this way it givis you access even that they say that u should buy connection (not needed, works with tablets and cells)

The staff was friendly, the room was small but clean, no chairs other than a desk chair. The only really negative I have regarding this experience is that rather than charging us upon check-in for the entire stay (which I would have been completely fine with), they put a hold on our debit card for the entire stay plus $100/night deposit and then wanted us to pay for the stay at check-out while the hold for $700+ was still on our account, making it impossible for us to do as this was $700 out of our budget. This created a problem for us (as anyone who has budgeted for a trip can understand) ; if I would have been told upfront this was what they were doing, I would have worked it out then. Instead, we had to find out upon check-out and were embarrassed because we did not budget an extra $700 for our trip and we had to scramble to pay this. Other than that, it was a great location and we enjoyed the stay. Oh, and great pillows!

The room was clean and it was overall a nice and affordable place. There is a 100 per night holding fee that they charged me 600 for instead of 200 for the two nights I was staying and assumed that was alright… The actual room was smaller than depicted online but clean enough.

I only stayed 1 night but really enjoyed it. The front desk staff was really nice. The room was unexpectedly large. I was expecting a small closet like most of NYC. The shower was amazing with 5 shower heads. I didn't get a chance to explore the area very much but it's pretty close to central park.

The lobby area was nicely furnished. There was complimentary cookies, I think I was the only person to have ever eaten them. It was nice but felt antiseptic… Maybe modern minimalist to an extreme. The bar was nice and empty on a Thursday night.

Shoreham hotel has been a great experience so far. It is centrally located with central park just a couple blocks north. The front desk personnel are so nice and helpful, especially Dany who helped us check in. We got upgraded to a penthouse room which was a good sized room for two people. The room included a large balcony overlooking the essex house and much more!

Meh, no HDMI ports on TV and only like 2 outlets across the entire suite. Food and drinks from the refrigerator are expensive.

Fantastic location in uptown Manhattan making anything you want to do or see very accessible. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and comfortable. Massage chair was a nice touch after a long day of walking and the breakfast is highly recommended. Will be back!

The Shoreham was a nice hotel located in the middle of NYC. One elevator didn't work for the fourth floor but overall it was nice. The bathrooms were a great size and the showers were wonderful.

This urban modern conversion hotel is nice enough, the rooms are on the small side, as is NY, however the cofffie machine is one of the best, the bar is cleverly unassuming, and the location is killer, could use a fresh coat of paint, and some drywall corners repaired but over all not bad.

I was at this hotel 21 days in the month of June this year, I was very well attended by staff, very good room, spotlessly clean, excellent location.
It was the first time that I was going to this hotel, but frequently traveled to NYC, and now I know that I found the ideal hotel.
I highly recommend it.

Nice hotel with a modern feel but a little worn. Bathrooms in rooms are excellent with full-length mirror in some (if you're into that) and a stand-up Jacuzzi shower in others. Great place to stay with fair rates. Lobby restaurant has B health rating (at the time of this review).

Probably the worst hotel I have been, I didn't think a four star could offer such a combination of rudeness, lack of professionalism, and ugliness of rooms and public spaces! breakfast at bed and breakfast, unacceptable prices.

Would never pay full charge for the room, was fortunate to have bought it on an on-line bidding site for about 65% of the $250/day they wanted. Hotel staff eager but one of them was rude and unapologetic when the keys to both of our rooms failed on two separate days (! ), said "Why should I apologize when it's not my fault" (! ) Hotel safety bad, as front door is always unlocked to any street traffic and thugs could easily enter, no guard. Reasons for poor review: 1. Huge fees for room internet use daily; must go down to lobby all the time. 2. Huge cost of parking and no hotel parking. We were forced to pay $45 a day! 3. Hotel has many infrastructure problems, like plumbing and air conditioning. One room toilet problems two days in a row. In our room the handle came off the shower faucet. Owner must be pocketing too much of the profits, must be too greedy. Room Tip: Ask for upper rooms, as there is a constant din of traffic below. Also, don't expect any view.

Bads -Kinda bad experience. Pictures are nice, outside look good. But room are actually old and dark. First day check in, air condition is broken and they gave me portable one, tell me nothing they can do about it, Will only change for another room next day. -Mattress is way too soft. My back and neck is still painful. -On the web says: free Wi-Fi, but only for lobby area. Still need to pay if u need Wi-Fi in ur room. Goods -Location is good close to 5th ave. But there are so many better ones around the same area. Conclusion: Will not book this hotel again. do not get fooled by the pictures, they are fake.

Negative: On my week there the TV control didn't work, phone didn't sound good, the coffee machine broke, and the access cards failed a bunch of times. Positive: excellent location, spacious rooms and bathrooms, comfortable bed, good coffee machine, and nearby restaurants.

There are three things I like about this hotel: location, Wi-Fi, and value. I would definitely stay here again. It's not the fanciest hotel in Manhattan but it offered a decent room at a competitive rate, with good free Wi-Fi for sending emails and sharing pictures. The room we stayed in had a small double bed but it was thoroughly cleaned every day. All the staff we dealt with was attentive and friendly. If you're like me and prefer to save your money for eating out and other experiences, then you could do much worse that to stay at the Shoreham.
