Horrendous rude place. Refuses lika at parrot that they can not accept service animals (in this case because they have no accommodation for them), despite this being not only against (the spirit of) The Americans with Disability Act, but also a pure lie: they can but accommodate but instead they choose to lie about and keep discriminating. Avoid to all costs.

The prices of this place are daylight robbery! You pay as much as you pay in high profile places in downtown or midtown Manhattan, such as The Standard Hotel, Ritz Carlton or The Four Seasons! The place smells horribly like curry, which made me and my spouse nauseous everyday. The house is dark and has a depressing atmosphere. There are NO Cafes or restaurants at all in the neighborhood, just a Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Bodegas, Supermarkets and a fried chicken place. Just this week, a young lady was robbed and her TEETH WERE BRUTALLY BEATEN OUT, exactly on the street, where this place is located (it has been all up in the media). The owner, who is obtrusive, nosy, lies perpetually and adjust the prices, depending on her mood is the worst of all. And the staff… Has been violent towards guests! A TERRIBLE PLACE! YOU PAY A 100$ CLEANING FEE! ROBBERY!

It's a great place to stay when you visit New York. The appartment is clean and fully equiped. The appartment is close to the metro. The hostess is very kind and helpfull! Thank you for your kindness during our stay!

This is the second time that my husband and I have brought one of our grandson's to NYC and were so impressed with the accommodations AND the helpfulness of our hostess, Theresa, that we stayed here again this past week. The apartment was large, very comfortable, very clean, conveniently located to the subway (a 30 second walk), lots of great restaurants, a grocery store (great for our fully equiped kitchen) and a Dunkin Donuts (lots of smiles from our 8 year old grandson on that account). We hope to stay at Lita's apartments again so what better recommendation could there be?!?!?

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Clean & beautiful; rooms, friendly host, close to transit and restaurants, nice hangout spots in Harlem. This is the place to stay when spending time in the city. Lita's feels like home! would highly recommend and visit soon.

This place is terrible. I wonder who writes the reviews here. The neighborhood is straight up ghetto (my girlfriend has been harassed several times on the street). The prices are ridiculous and the owner is obtrusive. The house rules are impertinent. It smelled horrible in the house. There are NO restaurants and NO cafes in the area. Messed up supermarkets and fast food joints. That is all. never again!

The best place to stay in NYC. Great neighborhood, plenty of culture, awesome food choices. The bed was better than at home! I will stay here every time I visit NYC.

This is the place to stay when in NYC. It is conveniently located on the same block as the subway. The place is renovated but still in keeping with the brownstones history. When I'm staying in NYC I LOVE staying here. The host Theresa is an amazing person. She is so helpful and knowledgeable on the nightlife, restaurants and best attractions. I've stayed in all the rooms thus far and I'm yet to be disappointed. The rooms are all CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. They have a feeling of home which is always appreciated when away from home. She truly goes above and beyond to make the most memorable stay. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. Cant wait to stay here again.

I stay at Lita's apartments approximately 5-6 times a year. From the friendly welcome by Teresa to the comfortable tempur-pedic bed and plush white towels you're sure to feel at home. I continue to stay here because of the convenience to my place of business and subway, as well as the warm welcome at every stay. Teresa is very accommodating, she helps find restaurants and transportation like 1.2.3! I have stayed in every room even the newly renovated suite. As expected the rooms are warm cozy and SUPER clean. A few of my stays were with a friend whom had the same welcoming feeling. I can't imagine someone writing a negative review due to the exceptional service I receive every time I visit Lita's. I would HIGHLY recommend any one of the suites without hesitation. I look forward to my next stay in the city at Lita's.

If you are looking for a suite in New York City to stay for a while avoiding to pay huge vacation rentals or hotel bills, then this is one of the best place to be, just because: 1 you can feel like at home 2 in 10 mins you can go in any direction, from downtown to real west Harlem 3 you can count on a person that 24 hours a day, after a warm accomodation will look after any kind of need, just ask and Teresa will suprise yourself 4 Cable TV (NY 24hours a day, Child TV programs and whatever a lazy or rainy day could offer) 5 a big bed, more than queen size. Is "castle" size! 6 location is perfect to feel some of real NY instead mere flashing downtown 7 Sunday is special, you will see a lot of cars in second line coming to attend Mass that you can enjoy on foot, even if you profess a different religion or none at all 8 Near restaurants are cheaper and (in my opinion) better than downtown, just look around and find by yourself 9 Spending some days at lita`s is also a pretty human experience, little do I know staying here during holidays is warm and bright 10 Ten like the days I spent here with my family, it is advisable to contact the owner before booking to discover some special season discount.
