Great place to stay. Nice and clean. I’m not a big fan of Hotels, but this Hotel by far was awesome. Thanks to Annette for making our visit pleasant.

Stayed here this past weekend Oct 18-21 2019, perfect location, great hotel and awesome friendly staff who went out of their way to make our first stay in New York Fabulous and Fun! We arrived at 11am the hotel held our luggage so we could walk around until check in, came back at 3 and our room was ready. Rooms were very nice and free Wi-Fi was a bonus. We had a late flight and again our luggage was held for us by the hotel and we were welcome to sit in the lobby, watch TV until our car arrived at 7pm

Great place to stay in New York!

I had trouble checking in so I guess they made me pay for it by putting me in the smallest room next to a stairwell. For the past two nights, I have been woken up hourly by security patrolling the floors. Either that or some guest has a passion for fresh ice. Even with ear plugs, I wake up. Welcome to NY… and the hotel that never let's you sleep!

Went to check out Monarch bar on top of this hotel. Great view of emipre state building! Would recommend to anyone visiting.

Great location and comfortable rooms. The roof top bar entrance creates some issues when trying to get into the hotel. The rooftop bar security people tend to block the entrance to the hotel and don't seem to care or notice that there are people trying to get into the hotel. Makes the entrance to the hotel very unwelcoming. We will not stay here again. Lots of other great Courtyard hotels in Manhattan to pick from.

Definitely a good location with a short walk to the empire state building, central Park, times Square, New York public library. The rooms were clean and spacious (as far as rooms in NYC can be considered spacious), and the staff were very nice and courteous. Would definitely consider coming back to this location.

This Courtyard by Marriott hotel has a fantastic central location with immediate access to the subway. The outdoor rooftop bar had great views of the city, but reservations are required at night. Your room key gets you to the front of the line rather than waiting for the bar's private elevator. The rooms were modern, impeccably clean, and large for NYC standards. The doorman, Michael, had an infectiously positive attitude and he coordinated all of our dinner reservations in addition to setting us up with Champagne flutes and ice buckets to host an impromptu family gathering in the lobby. We highly recommend this hotel!

The team here are some of the most amazing staff members I have encountered. Clean, roof top bar is one of the best in the CITY. Washer and dryer on 4th floor.

I agree with many opinions. The hotel is very well located, just a short walk from the Empire State Building, the subway at the foot. And Times Square is a five-minute walk away. Rooms clean but a little small and disappointing breakfast. On the other hand, excellent welcome and attentive staff.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard property in Herald Square, NYC three or four times over the past few years when visiting family in the city. We have always been impressed with the great location, (It is directly across the street from Macy's on 34th and in the center of restaurants and great sights such as the Empire State building and Madison Square Garden), and the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The beds are comfortable and the lobby and common areas are lovely. This most recent trip we had the great fortune to be referred to hotel bellman/concierge Jose Ortiz, when we called the hotel for information about finding a car service to help us get to and from the airport. Jose was a tremendous help for my husband and I. He not only arranged for the car service, but kept in contact with us throughout the process so that the driver was on time to pick us up and was able to find us at the airport. He made sure our room was ready when we arrived and even had our room upgraded.   Mr. Ortiz also offered to help with obtaining any type of show/attraction tickets and restaurant reservations during our stay. Upon returning home from our trip he texted us to thank us for staying at the Courtyard Marriott Herald Square and let us know that he would be happy to help us on future stays at the hotel.   As one who travels often and has always been a loyal Marriott customer, I appreciate the over and above customer service we received at this property.

Awful customer service. Nick helped me on the phone to reserve the room. After spending half an hour and giving out all my info just one click away they raised the rates by $150 per night. Called back 3 times they kept hanging up. So disappointed!

Great location … clean and I had no problems. On site laundry was helpful to us.

Perfect location. Very friendly staff. Weird entrance process when Monarch club is open. Very limited food offer at their restaurant.

Hotel was great, and staff is very friendly. It's right in the middle of all the action, and was a ton of fun to use as a base of vacation operations. Close the the subway, and eight across for the Mac daddy of all Macy's. Recommend if you can fit it in your budget.

Great views and location at Herald square. Cute cafe has healthy options like oatmeal! Great service and rooftop bar. Parking is not optimal, take a taxi or public transportation. Have fun!

First time at the courtyard, nice experience, Good finger food nice drinks great company and awesome service, thank you Lupus foundation for having a great spot for kikoff.

I went to the rooftop to have a big party, security is great. I really enjoyed music, was like pop, electronic and some reggaeton too. Almost all audience is really young.

Came to the Monarch for Valentine's evening. They had a special for champagne and a chocolate souffle for $60. The vibe is romantic and there were lots of other couples. The music was good and the lounge furniture is very comfy.

Rooms were small, but nice. Rooftop bar is beautiful. Very close to Macy's, H&M, etc. The elevators were constantly down and on our last day, only one elevator was working. Hotel is close to the subway and a walkable distance to Times Square if you're up for it.

We were at the Monarch Roof Top Bar on a few drinks. Nice shop, pleasant ambience, friendly staff. Prices are priced according to the area and the view in close proximity to the Empire State Building, but just in the frame. The audience was pretty much… different ;-) We had fun and ne cigar on the heated terrace. But once enough is enough. Unfortunately, the toilet was not very appealing.

Went to the monarch rooftop bar located on the 18th floor. The atmosphere was really modern and cool. Went there for a birthday where we reserved a table in the back. The waitress was really attentive and was really good about checking in on us. The drinks were also not too expensive for a place in the city, and they were really good quality. Would definitely go again.

A little noisy (street noise) including church bells going off at 2am (11 double chimes! ) and then again several times during the night. Probably tough to get somewhere quiet in NYC. I was a little miffed that the very helpful gentleman downstairs got me a taxi for $85 “all in including tip” (to Newark) only to have the driver (upon arrival at Newark) tell me the $85 didn’t include the tip. Rip off. They must have been in cahoots.

We've experienced kind staff but the room is a bit small and we found the breakfast to be dull. Fine for a quick stay.

The rooftop bar has a great selection of drinks and several appetizers. The service was friendly and accommodating. Happy hour offers $6 beer, house wine and well drinks.

I stayed once again this year, and affirm my 5-stars — the staff is attentive and provides wonderful service, the price is good for the location, and rooms are clean and well-appointed. The hotel is centrally located and offers very easy access to the subway at 34th Street/Herald Square, which can get you almost anywhere you need to go in the city.

Visited this hotel for 3 days. Was quite nice and clean. Staff was decent and professional. Good amenities and again cleanliness was good.

Very friendly staff! Rooms were clean when we arrived. Only issue was the hair dryer; but when we asked for a replacement, they sent it up immediately. The bellman, Michael was awesome! Spoke to us whenever he saw us, and even gave us hugs when we left!

Highly recommended hotel with convenient access to all the major attractions or transportation. Michael & Jose are both superior Bellman that enhance your stay.

This is one of the best Courtyards in NYC. The location is great being right next to Macy's. The rooftop bar is very nice and the rooms are well done though a little tight.

Great location and wonderful service! They have a fun, energetic, rooftop bar that has a great view of the Empire State Building. I accidentally got locked out of my bathroom and called the front desk and they were up unlocking it within 5 minutes.

Beautiful place, meet with some peers at this location. Great service wonder area to see all the city sites. Went in for drinks with some colleagues and the place was what you expect, great service and a beautiful place.

I have loved staying at this Courtyard Marriott location! The rooms are beautiful with great views on all the floors, the amenities are the standard Courtyard items which is perfect for a relaxing stay. The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially the bellman Jose. I have been exceedingly impressed with all aspects of my stay here. On top of that the location is perfect, transportation is simple with public and private transit mere steps outside the front doors. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Loved it! loved it so much I had a reservation for June for the Renaissance in Times Square and I canceled it and changed it to here. Michael R. The bellman on the ground floor IS AMAZING! He is so friendly, always opening the door and ready to serve he made the stay! Being a platinum member, was upgraded to the top floor, floor 17 and got a corner room looking straight up 6th avenue and we could see Central Park. The GM Susan was soooooo helpful too! There is a subway serving the orange and blue lines directly outside the hotel too!

Hotel staff checkin was awesome very professional. Melvin the hotel manager went over and beyond to accommodate us. The best! Hosea the baggage claim guy was the happiest person. I had a chance to celebrate my son 21st birthday on the rooftop (monarch). Awesome place, food and drinks. The hotel was super clean, awesome breakfast. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The service is beyond amazing here! Worth it! My husband and I stayed our last three days at this particular Marriott after a week in Harlem, and let me tell you it was worth every dollar spent. The view was amazing, and the service was even better. We were met at the main floor by one of the bellhops who took our things and showed us up to the lobby and then took our bags away (it wasn't check in time yet) so we could enjoy some shopping before our room was ready. We look forward to staying here again. Best service I've ever had!

I loved this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. Bathroom were nice. The room given to us was exactly the same view that we booked for! Location was so perfect. We did not have to worry about our laundries. Laundry area located on the fourth floor 24/7. Quarters and detergent powder, you may go to the front desk ask for assistance. Workout anytime at there fitness center for free 24/7 aswell. Ice cubes available almost all floors. When ever I ask for service to clean our room. They immediately comply. Wifi are free on each rooms. Just love it there! I will surely come back and stay on this same hotel. Thank you for the fantastic accomodation and made my stay in New York a memorable and a nice comfortable experience. Would really recommend this hotel! Keep up the good work guys!

Located directly across from Macy's in Herald Square.
We had a king room with city view. The rooms in this category are somewhat small and suitable for max. 2 persons.
From your bed, you could see the Empire State. (Room with a view on the 35th St).
Metro station right in front of the House. The Empire State is garden walk 5 minutes to the Madison s and Penn Station 10 min. And to the times square within 15 minutes.
After check out, you can give his luggage storage free of charge.
The hammer is the rooftop bar with views of the Empire State.

I had a excellent experience at this hotel. The guards were awesome and very helpful willing to assist with just about any concern that you have. The rooms were clean and quiet. The location was spectacular right in the middle of New York you couldn't ask for a better spot. The service was great every one of the personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this spot.

Clean comfortable rooms. Polite and courteous staff. Excellent location and subway right outside. Assistance with luggage was late and confusion with valet parking upon leaving. So that unpleasantness degraded them a bit but id recommend a stay here if ur doin a night or two on the west side.

Rooms were very clean, awesome location, felt very safe. Loved the Starbucks in the hotel. Roof top bar was fun. Staff is sooo nice! First time in NYC with our teens and will definitely stay here again!

The hotel staff were very polite, shower was good. View was absolutely perfect since they gave us a high room. And check out was at noon so we were not rushed.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, albeit a little small, but I expected as much from a downtown Manhattan hotel, especially for the price. The line for Monarch (the roof top lounge) on a Saturday night made going in and out a little bit of a nuisance and the refrigerator in the room didn't work hence the minus a star. For me the location, with shopping and restaraunts located nearby especially some great Korean places made up for it. The staff was friendly and professional and I would stay there again should the opportunity arise.

It seemed clean, well secured, with a quiet Aire in the heart of midtown. Pleasant!

The location of this hotel is perfect and central to everything with great views from the upper floors. The lobby is exceptional with a great business area. From check-in to checkout the staff is friendly and amazing. They are also great for advice on places to eat in the area. The room I was in was also great with lots of space, great desk for working, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Also used the gym which had the essentials plus some weights. I just wish the treadmills faced the big TV's instead of putting our backs to them. Lastly, there is also a bar on top of the hotel that's not part of Marriott but is just out of this world and makes this hotel even better and more convenient.

Hotel includes a rooftop bar. Room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Has a great view of macys as well. So great hotle to stay at if you plan to shop at Macy's a lot.

Helpful and friendly staff. Helped on several occasions with directions and recommendations. Helped set up the pack and play in the room. Rooms are nice. No complaints.
