Love the Travel Inn. We have been several times. Staff are wonderful, location is amazing and rooms are amazing! Can’t wait to come back.

Staff aren’t very accommodating on our first night the toilet flooded the bathroom and we were asked to dry it up the window was also broken and fell off in the maintenance mans hand so we had to switch rooms and half 4 in the morning along with a young baby. Second room had a rat also! Electricity kept going off too! Staff weren’t apologetic at all! Good location but that’s about it.

The 15-min-walk distance to Times Square is very convenient. Lots of options to choose from to eat near by. There's a bus stop on the corner as well.

The 1st room had a mouse in it so they moved us to the smallest darkest room, the air conditioner was lacking. I got out of bed my feet were soaking wet from rug (wet from leaking air conditioner) we reported it so the threw a sheet over the wet rug. Not worth the $ roomed smelled cat pre just awful.

BED BUGS Hotel room had bed bugs. Shower didn’t work. Front desk staff lacked compassion. Overall, the Travel Inn Hotel is a great option if you’re currently homeless. P. S. Can I rate things lower than 1 stat? Asking for a friend.

We stayed one night in the hotel. The location was excellent. The hotel was older but very clean and comfortable. Any problems we had was quickly handled by the front desk. (key card didnt work, no towels in the room) Pool was a big plus. Reasonable parking. Diner was delicious and affordable. I would stay here again.

This will be my new go-to hotel in Midtown Manhattan! The staff is super friendly and was really accommodating to us (we arrived well before check in and our flight back home didn’t leave until after after check out). Rooms are clean and spacious compared to others I’ve been to in the city. Location is PERFECT for just about anything you want to do! Thanks for a great stay!

It was just one night but was great. The location is great. Staff was v. Helpful. The room was clean and well equiped. It was great experiance. Parking in hotel garage for free is great advantage. We will do it again and will recomend the hotel to our friends.

Poor attention from the female receptionist, I even saw as they mocked a lady with little English handling. The room was dirty, cold and old. The only thing positive is its location, the other sucks. I Don't recommend it.

Charming, clean, affordable, convenient location, newly renovated pool, friendly staff, quiet and private.

Excellent attention. Different rooms. Very comfortable. They receive packages up to 2 days before without cost. It has small refrigerator but it helps in the economy.
Good location. 3 blocks from 8.
There is a supermarket a half block (Good Emporium) that has everything and closes at 12 pm. And 1 block is a CVS that is a store that has everything. Anything and even food. It's open all day. 3 blocks to Subway.
So from this hotel you can comfortably mobilize x where you want.

The location is just amazing! In general it is clear, for all ten days have not met any insect! Cleaned every day, regardless of tips. Several times left on $5, after this lesson has not improved and has not deteriorated! The smell of damp (room 393) was not changed for a long time. Overall a positive experience!

Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location if you're there to experience the city. Rooms could use some updating, but definitely would stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The beds are pretty firm and the bathroom is pretty small, but it’s a decent price for a two bed room. Loved the shower, it had the perfect water pressure. The staff is super gracious and the location is perfect for bus travelers, since the Port Authority station is two blocks away. Plus the lobby is beautiful and smells amazing!
Definitely will consider coming back, especially if I do NY Comic-Con. The location is really close to the Javitts Center.

To be new York, very well in quality price.

It's not the big luxury but it's very clean and parking is cheaper than elsewhere. Our mattresses were comfortable.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 5 years while attending toy fair. Made my reservation in November. Arrived with reservation in hand and they had no knowledge of it. Turned me away for the first night of my 3 night stay. I had to get a room on a Saturday night in NYC, cost me 300.00 for 1 night. When I returned to the travel Inn for my 2 night stay they charged me 90.00 per night and said that was the best they could do. I expected them to comp the room. I budgeted 350.00 for housing. I spent 300.00 for 1 night elsewhere and 75.00 for parking for the first day when Travel Inn turned me away. This is there last year to be open as the building is being torn down. Good Thing?

I have been going to the Travel Inn for almost 15 years. The rooms have always been very clean and the staff is always professional and friendly. I have recommended this hotel to friends and family.

A nice hotel but it's getting old. The staff are professional and attentive. It's a good value for money for New York.

The hotel is very dated. The beds are not very comfortable and only come with two small pillows per bed. It is a great place to stay overnight in NYC though due to it being fairly cheap.

I didn't know what to expect from our last minute hotel choice, but this hotel was great. They have an on site parking garage and there is a diner next door that has a great breakfast menu.

Super but attention a bit noisy and especially the Wi-Fi is paying $7 per day.

The only positive thing I have to say about this hotel is that it has a decent location. My friends and I stayed here for New York Comic Con because it seemed affordable and was literally down the street from the venue. The staff was rude from the start, you have to pay for Wifi, and the room appeared as though it hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned in some time. We had not planned to spend much time in the room during our trip, but after one day, it became clear that there was …some sort of bug infestation as half of our group noticed bites on their arms, neck, and legs. After a quick inspection of the beds, we were able to confirm that the bites were caused by bed bugs within the hotel room. We immediately went to the front desk to report the issue. The staff could not have cared less. The two men were barely responsive, did not apologize once, and told us there was nothing they could do / no accommodations they could make. We packed up our things and left. After ubering back to New Jersey and being on the phone with hotels. Com for two hours, we were relocated to a hotel all the way in Brooklyn. Hotels. Com and Travel Inn have already made me jump through hoops to get this issue resolved. I am told to call during a specific time, only to be told that the person who can help me is "on leave".

We stayed here for New York Comic Con weekend. At first, the room seemed fine for what we needed. Enough space, GREAT location. However, things took a turn for the worst after we spent the first night of our stay. We returned for our second night and realized that most of us have bug bites all over our arms and legs. After inspecting under the bed and along the walls, we realized the room was infested with bed bugs. When we went to the front desk, the two men working said there was nothing they could do until the morning and there were no other rooms available. That's when we packed up all of our stuff and left that disgusting hotel room and ubered back to New Jersey. During the checkout process, neither employee was sympathetic whatsoever and wouldn't even get off their couch. Now when we try to get a refund for our miserable experience, they keep dodging our calls, as well as the customer service team at Hotels. Com. do not stay here. Looking back, we should have spent a little more and stayed in a reputable hotel chain.

Good classic overnight hotel stay. Great location by times square and not too expensive. Big room. Nice front desk staff. Didn't eat here so can't comment on food. But just a great stay overall.

Great hotel, rooms are very cozy and comfortable. The fridge was large and there was a full size mirror in the bathroom. The pool outdoor pool is very nice. Only thing they could add is a breakfast.

Loved the location I saw times square out my window, and the price was awesome, $140, 2 full beds.

Really nice hotel for the price! Services were also very good and the team really friendly! Strongly recommend! The hotel is less than 15 minutes walk from Times Squares and from three subway stations!

The Travel Inn was a good home base for our 4-day New York family trip. My husband and I usually prefer to stay away from the touristy areas; however, on this first trip to the City with our two younger sons, ages 10 and 12, we wanted to stay closer to the attractions in Times Square. It was a few blocks from there, and a bit closer than that from the closest metro station. Not bad! The hotel room was very outdated and not spotless, but it was neat and clean enough. All the employees we talked to, both in the hotel and parking garage, were very nice and helpful. Speaking of the garage, it is located just outside the hotel and is seriously THE BEST PARKING RATE IN THE CITY. We paid $20 a day for parking, when we usually pay $40 or more a day. Plus, we got to drive our car into the garage and store our luggage in there, as well, after checkout (instead of checking our bags at the front desk). We didn't use the pool (too much to do in the City! ), but it looked very nice from our hotel room. Negatives: the TV remote didn't work (we should have asked for batteries? ) + we only had three towels for four people (and had to ask for another set) + it's very close to the bus station Overall, the hotel is a very good deal for its location, parking, and atmosphere. I would stay here again… but unfortunately one of the desk clerks told us they were planning to close in December because a new high-rise was going to be built there. What a shame!

Comfortable and functional rooms. Photos are reality. Cleaning is done every day. The maintenance staff are smiling and very helpful. The front desk staff kindly helped us to confirm what was to be confirmed by phone. The pool is a "plus" not to be overlooked after a busy day… Very well located on the 42nd, Metro and Time Square in direct proximity. If I go back to NY I would book at the Travel Inn Hotel.

Very good place, security guaranteed police station right across the way. Cons very noisy if you have a window overlooking the 42nd Street, but we are not going to Newyork to sleep lol. Swimming pool very pleasant. I would stay there again trying all the same the courtyards room. Very clean and friendly.

If I can give it a — 5 I would, this is by far the worst hotel ive stayed in my life. Everything from top to bottom in this hotel is atrocious. Our rooms were not even in the hotel (seperate building), toilets AND bathtub was clogged. Beds smelled so bad we had to lysol every piece of furniture. Heater is malfunctioned and also 100 mile wind coming throughthe door (because of outside). Called for bath towels… never got them. The 1960s decors does not help. The drain in the bath comes with complementary hair from previous clients. Other guest were screaming at 3Am, we called the security guard and he never showed up. Last thing, we had to pay for Wi-Fi. ITS 2016 AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR Wi-Fi?! All in all, disgusting and horrible.

Horrible beds. Very outdated rooms. Teenagers dream. Not for adults. We got about 3 hrs sleep. Won't ever go back.

HORRIBLE management. Selfish and money hungry. The Wi-Fi did not work at all yet I was charged 25 dollars for it. I even showed how it would not connect to my phone. They never refunded me and finally the manager said he would give me a "good rate" when I come back to New York. REALLY? I just wanted my 25. The hotel was nothing special. It's a budget hotel so I wasn't expecting much but for the 229 I paid not including Wi-Fi charges, I could have stayed somewhere much nicer. Shame on you, management!

It is very cozy but this very ugly.

Besides the already expensive hotel, you have to pay 6$/day for Wifi access and 20$/day for parking. The rooms are small, there are no beverages (not even water! ) and the Wi-Fi is like 10 kb/s.

Rooms were tiny and dated. Lobby staff was rude and unfriendly. Easy access to the hotel and onsite parking was affordable. NO COFFEE in the rooms and though they advertise free Wi-Fi, they charged me $6 for it.

Close to Times Square, convenient for travel, helpful staff.

You get what you pay for — parking is NOT free and they charge more for minivans and SUV's ($30 not $20) and parking is good until 3 PM of the last day of your stay. Electrical and plumbing at the hotel had issues, but at least the room was clean. Close to the action and fine for a family. This hotel is 'good enough' if you are on a budget.

I stayed here for 3 nights the weekend of June 27 2015. My room seemed like it has just been redone and was beautiful, very clean, and everything was very nice. It was a street room which I found out on Saturday night was a bad idea as I didn't sleep at all because of the people partying until 5:30am, but lesson learned, next time I will not stay on the street side. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were not great, the shower was very nice and extremely clean and the lobby was nice and clean too. The whole hotel smelled nice which is unusual in my opinion of any hotel. I had no issues while I was there and enjoyed my stay very much. There are several great restaurants nearby and it's a short walk to the train, so that was really helpful to me.

Stayed there for spring break in April and loved it!. The pictures on there website need to be updated cause the rooms don't look like that, they are much nicer. Rooms and hotel lobby were very clean and front desk check in was fast and friendly. The diner next door was great for breakfast and inexpensive. Walking distance to Times Square which was great. Definitely will stay there again on my next trip to New York. Only bad thing is the website said free Wi-Fi and it's not.

Totally bizarre motel in the center of Manhattan, rooms mostly exposed to outdoor interior courtyard and run down a bit like a beach motel, but very charming nonetheless. Seems to be family-run, and everyone very friendly. As long as you arrive with low expectations, you will love the place. Second stay, 12-16 Feb 2015, charged for parking (bait and switch from prior stay with free parking) and pool closed for winter, but still a good option.

Good budget accommodation for new york over Christmas. Clean room and basic bathroom. staff were nice when checking in. if you want to do a lot of sightseeing its not as close to the train as the other places we stayed at but still ok. also you have to pay for Wi-Fi. : (.

This hotel has a great location and very convenient. However, it was the worse customer service ever. Rude staff, no welcome, no smile any days, no hello, no help. Very surprised after reading all the great reviews! Room was small, squeaky bed, very very very noisy (buy earplugs!, can even hear everything from next door's room), unsafe (have to go through a deserted parking to access room and are told on booklet to double lock and call reception if anyone knocks at door as anyone can come). Bathroom shower was old and not powerful. Wifi is $5.95 per day! Good thing is room gets cleaned every day. Will never go again because of staff as I think customer service and a smile goes a long way.

We stayed in this hotel last December, very nice, nice location, friendly staff, walking distance to many landmarks including, times square. Also one of the rare hotels with free (NYC) parking.

Worst experience! We were lied to about a lot of things when we booked, like free Wi-Fi, and laundry on property. And the photos we had of the rooms made them look MUCH bigger, and they were so small, not worth what we paid for! THEN on top of that we had a MOUSE in our room, called the front desk at 3AM and they said, we don't see it, do you wanna switch rooms? I was like no, no I do not, I want you to find it and get it OUT! the staff was rude, like REALLY rude, and the Wi-Fi cost us a fortune! so yeah, it was pretty dreadful all around. DO NOT stay here, it was HORRIBLE.

Sucks! The quality of everything is bad already but to have mice roaming around? Wow. We told the front desk and they don't even apologize for the mice and just gave us the room next door. The water doesnt stay at a consistent temperature and sometimes turn freezing cold. Beds are uncomfortable, it's dirty. Nothing good about this hotel/inn.

A very interesting value for money. The rooms are spacious and the bedding particularly good. The decoration is not extraordinary but everything is functional. The location is within walking distance of Time Square, subway stations, but the hotel is very quiet and the environment secure (in front of a police station). The staff are helpful. There is a parking lot and an outdoor pool half covered. If you want to have breakfast, instead go a few blocks further east to the Theater Row which is better than the one next to the hotel.
