A mixed stay
Our arrival at the hotel was bluffing. An impressive queue made up of a motley fauna with a quirky appearance. All were waiting to climb to the top of our hotel at this famous rooftop.
At the desk the reception was cold. I am asked for the credit card used for the reservation. Standard. What was less is the surety that this person has taken in order to ensure the possible damage. Nearly 2000, 000. And she wanted to pick up even more. Never seen. But I did close to 15 hotels in the United States. In short to say that the entry in matter was a little chilling…
Suite of pleasant stay in a spacious room with a tiny balcony with a beautiful view of the district of Meatpacking. The bathroom was very luxurious. A very clean room and a comfortable bedding.
The rooftop of the hotel is very popular. However, your identity card and credit card are confiscated as long as you consume on-site. The pool is tiny.
The bar at the entrance to the hotel is nice but the service does not follow.
At the start of the hotel I expected that I would be given my deposit back. Well no, they still picked up the amount of the room on my credit card. I had to wait almost three weeks to get a refund. Several calls with the managers of my credit card, email to the hotel. In short this is the first time this has happened to me in the United States. If you plan to stay in this property make sure you have plenty of availability on your credit card where prefer a more humane hotel… All this to say that these events will not leave me a good memory of this establishment called "luxury".
