Woke up at 5am to being bitten by bedbugs called Travelocity for refund only to be doubled charged. So for a 7hr stay in a room with BEDBUGS I WAS CHARGED DOUBLE. Called hotel and was hung up on by staff. So Syracuse here’s the pics.

We stayed on ground floor. Very secure area. Comfortable beds, clean room and bathroom.

Had to stay on ground floor as elevators inoperable. Had a room at the very end of the unit but outside doors that give you access were inoperable. Could only access hall to rooms from lobby. Appears to be clean enough. Would not stay downtown again. Does not appear to be a great neighbourhood.

Very nice area. Hotel staff are very polite.

Clean quiet comfortable place to stay in Syracuse. A short walk to Clinton Square & many restaurants, shops & pubs.

Check in was quick and easy. If you can take the stairs, DO. The elevator is super rickety. We were in town for an event at oncenter, when we returned from event the parking lot was over packed. Went inside to ask if there was extra parking somewhere else. The woman behind the counter told me no and asked if I was a guest… I responded Yes and she asked me to hold on she will have someone move their car? The next morning the shower… The shower for is very slippery, so slippery the shower curtain rod is not helpful as it is a tension rod but that made it easy to put back up. On check out I was streaming… My advice spend the few extra bucks stay at the plaza or Sheraton.

Great people. Made me feel welcome. Nice hotel. Clean. Neighborhood is ok.

The room is updated and comfortable. Only window is next to corridor is the only downside, you can clearly hear their conversations. The surrounding area doesn’t seem very safe.

I like the brand and it is certainly affordable. Only minutes away from the state fair and Destiny USA. I would absolutely stay there again!

Stayed here while touring Syracuse University. I was a bit reluctant because the price was quite low in comparison to other hotels in the area but since I check the reviews before hand, we decided to give it a try. The room was very clean and updated. Very cozy. Equipped with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. They have free fresh coffee available 24 hours in the lobby. Free breakfast was quite good. The staff was very friendly and helpful My only con was that there really isn't anything in the immediate area. It's a rather dark secluded. I definitely wouldn't go out for a walk after dark. Overall experience was a good one. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were great. They felt clean and well kept, which is important to me when I stay at hotels. The free breakfast was also good and included eggs, waffle machine, yogurt, coffee, beverages, sausages, danishes, etc. It felt a little more like a motel or Miami style hotel because the hallways and staircases were outdoors. This, however, did not affect the quality of the rooms. The location was also good, just steps from some restaurants and bars downtown. Customer service was fine. Overall, I had a good experience.

Really decent hotel for the price. Also close to downtown which saves on cab fares. Hotel room was clean, staff were pleasant and the continental breakfast is very good.

Very nice staff, clean rooms and clean breakfast area, definitely has had the rooms updated pretty recently. Fridges and microwaves in the rooms work awesome, as does the HVAC. Great for an overnight stay!

Very convenient to the hospital. Nicely redone. Reserved a queen bed but it was a full. Was told breakfast ended at 9:30 but closed at 9. Room rate online when I booked was different on arrival.

Nice quiet place. Not far from anything. Definitely will stay here again when in Syracuse.

I thought the room was ok. There was a mini fridge and microwave there. The internet was garbage. Even cell phone hot spot was not good. The room was pretty small, and had a weird shape. Breakfast was ok, if you got there early enough. First morning we got there with a 1/2 hour to go, and we only had scraps of scrambled eggs and one sausage link. There is two waffle makers though, so you at least have that as an option as well. Didn't use the exercise room, but it did look decent enough. Laundry was just one washer, and one dryer.

Couldn't get a room before 11 which seem silly being rooms was avalible seems like a common issue as o had a friend stay week end and she needed a room ended up getting room for one night hot water was amazing water pressure was great and breakfast wasn't to bad over all experience was ok they also offer discounts for military and police forces which is a great attribute room was clean has a excercise room which I loved being able to go for a run in heat controlled so didn't freeze for my daily runs staff wasn't trouble some as well as well and quiet co sidering the area is noisy lol no cable just basic channels was a bummer and Wi-Fi blocks newfkix which kinda sucked but we was so tired and needed sleep we honestly didn't care lol up.

Good place in downtown Syracuse, affordable prices.

This is a really nice hotel, close to all the amenities you could need, especially the liquor warehouse. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. Our room was nice and warm and very clean and tidy. The breakfast was really good, sausage and eggs plus yoghurt, toast, bagels and waffles. Coffee was good too. This hotel is very well run and the management and staff obviously take great pride in their work. The price is very reasonable. When we come visit Syracuse again we will definitely stay here. Thanks for a great stay.

Hotel is a hidden gem. They always greet and treat me like a friend. Room is spotless and new and breakfast has a nice variety. I found it on trip advisor initially (over a year ago). I stay there when I visit my mother in nearby nursing home every six weeks. It's great!

I was a little skeptical at first because the rate seemed far to Affordable for what I would expect from a Choice Privilege Hotel however I was pleasantly surprised. Parking was more than adequate and safe the room was extremely clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was exactly what one expects from this hotel chain. Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient since we were in Syracuse to visit a friend in the hospital (Syracuse University Hospital). Staff suggested that we visit Armory Square which was right down the street and assured us we would find some excellent lunch and dinner choices as well as unique shopping. We were so pleased with our experience that we recommended to family members this to be an excellent choice for future visits to this area.

Excellent hotel! The recently renovated rooms are so nice and clean. The hot breakfast is perfect. And the staff was so friendly. The location seemed safe and it's right off the highway.

Gorgeous, snappy room in the heart of it all. The staff couldn't be nicer, warmer or more professional. What a blessing and gift!

I was looking for a low cost place to stay as part of a super quick trip through Syracuse and was pleasantly surprised by the clean rooms and friendly staff for the $.

Very good, nice location and clean room. The TV remote was missing but, other than that, no problems! I was too tired from the drive to watch TV anyway.

Average hotel located in a bad section of town. OK breakfast and redone rooms. Just average overall though.

Beautiful renovated room, deep tub, comfortable bed and great pillows! Even had microwave and fridge!

Good quality nice rooms … only bad thing elevator sounds like it's going to fall apart when in it and there is a sticker in th elevator for inspection that says expired 4/17…? Confused at to why hasn't been reinspected?

We were here a few years back when this facility was owned by another company and we were very disappointed. So much so, we vowed to never return. Much to our surprise, after booking our couples getaway, we were at the same address as before. Bought and run by a new company we have nothing but positive, kind, words to share. ALL changes are an improvement and we WILL be back!

I have been visiting different places in United States. For me living in this hotel was the best experience I had during this month. I like the hotel ambiance, nice Food, comfortable bed, friendly staff and helpful room service.

The area is awful looking but in the heart of downtown, close to some great attractions. The room was smaller than I thought but had a fridge and microwave, plus lots of free TV channels. I don't think it was as good as I had read on trip advisor but I would stay again if I could find a discount on it.

Your typical hotel. I enjoyed the night.

I slept on my back which I normally can't do it was comfy and clean 5 stars.

Comfortable rooms, spacious bathrooms and good service.

Our stay last weekend was miserable. Large machinery (i. E. An active cranes' bucket scraping the roof at 7am — —) Work on the parking lot involving 3 huge trucks/tarring machines started shortly thereafter. Leaving the motel was dangerous, having to walk under the moving machines to get to our car. We complained to the 'manager' who then gave us a 50% discount. A small concession to an uncomfortable stay. This Econo Lodge should not have been open to the public during such extreme construction work!

I stayed here for a weekend in late July, 2014. I can easily say that this was the worst hotel I've ever been to. I've stayed at other Econolodges in the past year, and they were great. On multiple levels, this one fails. 1) The smell — This is a big one. We had a non-smoking room, and it smelled like musty cigarettes. The persistent, damp, spent cigarette smell embraced us every time we entered the room. 2) Cleanliness — This one is a combination of things. We had 1/2 a dozen flies buzzing around the room the first day we got there, and they were the kind of fast, annoying, buzzing around your head flies that are the worst. In terms of the room itself, I didn't really want to walk barefoot. Stained carpets, peeling paint, etc. Then when I tried to find a plug for my phone charger, and I moved the nightstand. Seeing as it was the only free outlet in the room, I don't know why it looked like it hadn't been touched in years. Multiple levels of gross. 3) I can forgive a lot of stuff. We really only needed a place to sleep, but in the morning when you're just getting up and you want a bite to eat before you head out, a simple bagel would be nice. The breakfast options recapitulated the state of the room. You want honey buns? Yeah, they have those. The brand they picked wouldn't make the cut to be on the shelves of any convenience store, but some how the Econolodge found them. You want a bagel? They have what was labeled a bagel.

Convinient location, friendly service, and decent continental breakfast. My friend forgot his phone in our room and they held it without issue until he should pick it up. Don't expect much, but for the price, it was reasonable. Mattresses and pillows were not comfortable and the shower was a little gross.

A bit pricey, low end neighborhood.

Worst motel experience ever. There were bugs in our room, had to change rooms at 2 am and found bugs in the other room too. Had to move to another hotel at 3 am! I was suffering from the bug bites for 2 weeks after that. What is worse, we came back to settle accounts the next day and found that they had already let our room with the bugs to another customer without bothering to go through any pest control.

I stayed there when I dropped my son off at Syracuse University and I liked the exterior. The staff was friendly and pointed us toward the University and a great restaurant called Dinosaur BBQ. The Wi-Fi didn't work but you could access the internet with the cord that they gave you at the front desk.
