Its a nice hotel and valet parking the staff seems friendly and the rooms are clean! there is a nice bar as well.

Cons: strange room layout, bright night lights, cheap kleenex, beds that make noise, indifferent staff, phones that don't actually call the front desk & other irritations. Pros: convenient location, nice couches & the shower is great.

Good hotel, centrally located in Syracuse. Sizable rooms and friendly staff. I stay here regularly for business.

I was very happy with the Courtyard Syracuse Downtown. Nice rooms, great bathroom (not always guaranteed) and friendly staff. I enjoyed the restaurant they recommended. I would stay here again.

We were in the Residences wing. The suites include kitchenette — — stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and dishes and cutlery. Really nice for longer stays. Rooms very clean and excellent TV and signal and selection. Definitely stay here again.

Newer hotel that was right in the heart of the city. About a half a mile from the convention center and Syracuse campus. Got a standard room with a king size bed and sofa pull out. Bathroom was all new and had a shower stall. Down in the lobby on top of the restaurant there was a Starbucks so you can get coffee there if you prefer that.

They gave us the wrong room, charged me for a pet deposit that wasn’t disclosed at the booking, put us in a room with 1 bed and a pull out couch, when we asked for a blanket for the sofa we were told that they didn’t have any! Horrific customer service, horrific hotel, I will never stay at this hotel chain again!

This was a pretty decent hotel with large rooms its just like a one bedroom apartment with everything you need. The food was not that great though it was very bland but the service was decent.

Everything was great, except the patio door card reader was broken.

Air conditioning is terrible, beds are not comfortable and the mini fridge is somehow smaller than the microwave. Not sure how this is a 3 star hotel. However the staff is very friendly and helpful to our needs. They were the only reason this place received any stars at all.

Room was clean and had plenty of space. Staff was helpful and friendly. But the HVAC unit in the room was super loud and right by the bed. Woke me up a few times overnight when it kicked on and off. Overall a good stay.

Excellent service, and just a generally pleasant experience. I had left my laptop bag downstairs by the front desk, I called down and asked them to hold it for me, and they sent it up just a moment later. It was a great solution to a briefly concerning problem.

Blcocked rooms for our wedding, but almost all guests decided to stay at the Jefferson Clinton since it's across the street from our venue. Called today to see if, and how many, guests booked under our block so we can drop of welcome bags. The front desk clerks response was "I'm sorry, but how am I supposed to know this? " Glad our guests are staying at the Jefferson Clinton.

Beautiful well-located hotel in the center of Armory Sq. Nice staff. Modern designs and comfy. What’s not to like? Parking. Pricy valet parking pushes the cost up. Breakfast is pricy too, but Starbucks and another local coffee shop are only 2 short blocks away. This hotel does not have brewed coffee for no cost to guests, unless you brew it yourself in the in-room brewing machine, so those cafes are options for caffeine & morning meals. Overall a nice room in a nice location with professional staff.

Good hotel, typical of courtyard by Marriott. Walking distance to all the bars and restaurants in Armory Square. Parking is valet only but was included in the room price.

Thank you for your stay at your hotel, I am an employee of the Carrie Circle courtyard and how you work at a Marriott brand hotel as I come from PR at the Ritz Carlton Sanjuan where the cleaning standards are very high… My stay in general was good. Excellent Bistro service. My only complaint is about the room service. I left at 9 am with my children and returned at 2 30pm to the hotel and the room was still dirty I went to the pool to give it time and in an hour it was not ready yet, OK. I gave him more break but when I saw Q the sheets stained by the baby does not change. The pillows were all wrongly put in a single bed and I asked for extra coffee and I didn't leave. Overall the rest was good. Thank you.

Hotel was very nice but not kept up. We called that we were leaving and asked for a touch up came back 4 hours later and nothing. No restaurant in hotel and food around it was limited to 11pm. Staff was very nice and so was breakfast.

My stay at the Courtyard Marriott was perfect. The room was clean and beautiful, the bathrooms were immaculate, and the breakfast offerings downstairs were great. I would definitely stay again.

I have been staying at residence inn for extended stays when I get moved for work for the past 10 years. This is the absolute worst experience ever. Never had a problem with house keeping until this location. We had to take our dogs out of the room for an hour and half for housekeeping to come in and clean. The manager lets the housekeepers know they need to do our room next as we walk out. They wont do it with our dogs in the room. So we go out in the snow and ice for an hour and half, room is not clean. They tell us to take our dogs out again or put them in the bathroom so they can clean. We take the dogs out again. They half ass the room, probably because the housekeeper was pissed. Didn't replace towels, threw silverware in drawer, not even in the container. Didn't wipe down counters and left them sticky. Gave me major attitude about cleaning while I was in the room by complaining about dishes and mumbling complaints. The rest of the staff pretends to not speak english so they dont have to help you when you ask for something. Horrible experience. Guests are not a priority here, and are treated poorly.

Great hotel. Centrally located in the gentrified part of town. Good eats and nice walking neighborhood.

The location is great in Armory Square, but you'll have to find street parking if you don't want to pay for valet. The lobby is attractive but the Bistro didn't seem to be open often. Rooms are nice, but the TV placement is strange (can't be turned toward the bed). The showers are older but work fine. Everything is clean, and the beds are comfortable.

The staff was incredibly friendly and kind (especially the valet attendant! ) and the location is fantastic for seeing Armory Square. Highly recommend.

Clean, attractive decor, very nice staff, and a nice pool with work out space. It has valet parking which adds to the cost and the parking area is right next to the building so it feels unnecessary.

The rooms at the Marriott Courtyard are always clean and modern. My one complaint is that they do not serve continental breakfast or free coffee and the Bistro is quite expensive. Considering the price of the rooms is more than other comparable hotels, a free cup of coffee and a muffin in the morning would be greatly appreciated. There are tiny little coffee pots in the rooms but the quality of coffee, sugar and creamer they supply is really quite awful.

This was a comped stay for a previous horrible experience (the strange smell from the bed led me to pull the sheets and discover that the bed we slept on had a stained body impression that looked like someone died there NO JOKE). THIS WAS A CHRISTMAS EVE STAY to get away from home and RELAX. NO SUCH THING! The room smelled like BO. Stains on floor, stains all over the furniture. THE BED IS HORRIBLE! Warped, hard, old. Could not sleep — got up at 2am to change rooms. We check 6 rooms and ALL the beds were hard and old and warped in EVERY room. Desk clerk said all beds are the same in all rooms. She took me to the Courtyard side — showed me a "normal" room, SAME CRAPPY BEDS! Then she showed me a king suite there — BED WAS NICE AND WONDERFUL and NOT like the other crappy rooms! But she couldn't transfer my stay to that good bed due to the "certificate" or whatever. Why do all rooms have these absolutely HORRIBLE beds except the EXPENSIVE suites? SO NOT WORTH IT unless you enjoy a stained smelly room with a concrete hard old bed. A hotel should have decent beds and be clean, FIRST AND FOREMOST. So what, this place is in a good location — if you have to sleep on a smelly old hard bed then whats the point? You're paying to get a decent night sleep but they don't care because it's all the other stuff that people rate so good that give this place a decent rating. Wake up folks.

Very Disappointed in this Marriott. Housekeeping… horrendous, they did not empty the trash cans nor replace the dirty glasses. Obviously, there is no oversight, at least for my room. Bistro… very limited selection, and overpriced for the food quality. When I expressed my displeasure via survey about the housekeeping… they will talk to housekeeping. Not a way to retain a potential customer who makes regular visits to the area. Back to the Hilton chain!

Was great until I went to check out. Whole place completely smelled awful. Valley came to bring us our car and said "your car is near where the smell came from, but it shouldn't smell like it. " Yet you could instantly smell it in my car. Strong chemical smell, giving me a head ache. Terrible experience.

Nice rooms that feel modern, helpful staff. Wi fi is free but a little spotty.

Only complaint would be the coffee room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great for extended stays.

Great location but you might need GPS to find your way off the highway. In the centre of old Syracuse and the restaurant district. Great staff. Marriott honours serving and veterans! All chains should!

Very comfortable stay, friendly staff, swift check in and out. Centrally located to some great food and drink venues, so convenient to explore on foot. Valet only, which I don't appreciate when most places make the top floors of a parking garage self-service, and their garage had the space to do it. But it was cheap and the valet service was quick. No ATM in the building, and Syracuse seems to start a little late. 8 am and no deli, bank, or convince store was open.

Very clean and well equipped hotel in walking distance of funk n waffles and otro Cinco as well as the armory square Staples such as empire brewery and blue tusk. Quite the run on sentence! But seriously, probably the best place to stay in Syracuse since they closed down Chuck's on Marshall Street.

Positives: good location, comfortable bed. Negatives: the first room we entered smelled horribly of body odor (sweat). Figuring it was a fluke we asked to switch, we were quickly and politely reaccommodated but the next room 2 floors up smelled too! So the place smells. No free breakfast, no water bottles, not even a pitcher of water in the lobby. You get the bare minimum for your money here — a little extra effort would go a long way. The bathroom is poorly designed in the bedrooms and the shower needed some work. 5 bucks for a water bottle in the little shop in the front, what a ripoff. Stayed here for the location but would not stay here again.

Great hotel. I stay here whenever I am in the area and it never disappoints. Good food and great service. It needs another elevator though, very slow. I usually stay on a low floor and take the stairs.

Disappointed with this hotel and will not be returning. The restaurant/bar did not have the necessary supplies for two out of three drinks we ordered which were on the menu. We tried to order the only dessert item on the menu but we were told it was frozen so not available. Our room was not cleaned for two days only after several complaints to two different managers our room was ready 10 minutes later. We walked into beds bearly made up, nothing had been wiped down and a dirty tub (which I cleaned myself). Unfortunately we have one more night here, let's see what the checkout process will bring us tomorrow. The only positive thing is it's location. There are so many great food places to eat and drink.

The facilities in this hotel are nice, but there is only one elevator, there is only valet parking (in a city of under 150, 000 people) and we had two irritating experiences, one where a valet sttod and watched me unload my two kids and luggage without offering help, but when a bag fell, came and set the bag where it would fall and told me how I had stacked the bags wrong, and another where the person at check in did not get us a crib or feather free room even though we both booked for these and asked at check in. We eventually got the crib, 45 minutes after the second call. Both those incidents were primarily the result of inattention or inexperience from just one individual. Assuming this is corrected, my only complaint would be the lack of additional elevators which might be something that would work out with access to adjoining Mariot in an emergency. That said, as a relatively expansive hotel for it's class, I was disappointed.

I can't thank the staff enough for take no care of our family while our son was at Syracuse University. The staff is attentive and friendly and know their jobs well. What a treat it was graduation weekend to see the balloons and appetizers in the lobby as we arrived and get mimosas and roses as we left on Mother's Day. Thank you all.

Absolutely loved the experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and personable. Coffee was hot and breakfast was decent. Slight annoyance at check put with the man in guest services, but other than that, enjoyed our stay.

Friendly staff. Great location. Plenty of pubs and eateries around and within walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful. But I had to dock them a star for not having a microwave in my room.

Upon arrival around 6pm our room was not ready. We were told 20 more minutes. So we left our belongings with the staff behind the counter and went to grab some dinner. We returned almost around 7pm and they said it still wasn't ready. So we sat in the lobby till about 745 when they finally brought our bags up to our room and said we could go in. Our kitchen floor was still wet from being mopped, and there was a dirty sock in one of the bedrooms on the floor. Our group started to unpack and we quickly realized two envelopes were missing. Granted there was $20 in one and papers with information on the other but still they were gone. One of the girls called the front desk and inquired if they had been dropped or taken or if something happened to them. We were rudely assured no one there would have taken them. About 10 minutes later we got a call back from front desk asking us to describe contents and when we did to come down. They had found items crumpled up and thrown in garbage by the valet stand. Thankfully they replaced the $20! But for being an upscale hotel very rude and unprepared customer service.

The room we got was nice looking, but smelled like it was a reformed smoking suite. We "got used" to the smell soon enough, but I got a wicked headache after sleeping there. Our room overlooked a busy intersection that sounded like it was a starting line for street racing from 11pm until past midnight. Yes, there was technically a breakfast buffet, but it was disorganized and they didn't seem to have enough dishes to accommodate everyone.

HELLO Everyone. I am a Rewards Member of Marriott. I think they have great service and nice rooms. However, I booked a hotel room at this location but somehow did not get a confirmation (though they said it was sent) to an email address I do not use nor is on file/my account. Because I did not get a confirmation, though which was an inconvenience to us my family and I booked another room in another Marriott 16 minutes outside of downtown. Long story short I was subsequently charged for 1 night in this hotel plus my other nights at the other location. I called the Corporate who said its out of their hands and the Hotel took their Stance so was not refunded my money. Marriott Confirmation numbers are send as a just that to Confirm the room and it also serves as a reminder. If there is no confirmation, why should I be liable for any charges? I am sorely disappointed at this maneuver.

I love the places in armory square for example the Armory Square Deli that was a great place it was a good place to eat and have a meal and I enjoyed my time there.

I enjoyed staying here for a work project. My room was fairly large and had a lot of sunlight. It's also located such that most places are walking distance. One great thing is that this hotel will go grocery shopping for you. You provide a list and they will stock your fridge!

Great location downtown, close to bars and restaurants. Room wasn't ready at 5pm because they were busy but the gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and offered us a drink while we waited. The wait was only about 10 minutes. Room was nice. Would stay again.

The rooms are big and comfortable and the service is good. The parking is vallet only which is annoying. The garage is attached to the hotel. The breakfast supposed to start at 6:30, never happens on time. Only one elevator, at least it makes me take the stairs more often…

The hotel itself is very nice and in a great location. The front desk was very nice and helpful. I have one issue though… we had walked over to dinner, and on the way back, when we walked up to the hotel my truck was sitting there running… we obv had not called for it. I alerted the front desk. Then, the next morning when I did call for the truck, when we got downstairs it was there running with No One anywhere to be found… we literally got in a drove away. I just sort of feel like I'm lucky it didn't get stolen.

My husband and I had a great stay. The staff were super friendly and very hospitable. The location is great, as well. We were able to walk everywhere!

Great stay, beautiful building, outstanding location (a few minutes walk from everything Armory Square has to offer). Our room was tidy and spacious. No issues with noise and our sixth floor room had a great view of western Syracuse. Would certainly stay here again.

Everything was great. Beds a little hard for us personally, but clean and very organized. All staff interactions were great. Everyone was nice and courteous and went out of their way to help us. Great location. Restaurants and bars in walking distance. Close to 690, close to Destiny USA. Continental breakfast was plentiful and very good quality. I would stay again here.

I really enjoyed my stay here while on a work trip. The rooms were modern and spacious and homelike. The location was very convenient to many restaurants in walking distance. One thing I thought was great was that you can give hotel staff members a shopping list and by they'll stock your refrigerator while you're away.

Excellent service, military discount is great, highly recommended for military pers, tiny details in the room were great, conveniently downtown so lots of close amenities. Kudos to the staff excellent Svc.
