Chef Alex Zoeller and his father Fred run an amazing restaurant together. Great staff and bartenders. A staple and icon of Cooperstown. The view isn’t too bad either.

Room was very clean, especially the bathroom. Great location. Front desk hours are very limited. Coffee was good but only available 8-11.

Decent food, but expensive for lunch and you will be nickel and dimed for any deviation from the menu text. Not worth it. View is nice, eat somewhere else.

Worst experience I have ever had eating out anyplace ever in my entire life. First, we arrived at 7:51 PM and were promptly ignored at the door. When we were finally seated. We waited more for someone to come over and apologize for our delays and take our orders drinks and food. I was considering appetizers but I was a little afraid of the wait time that would likely incur. At around 8:30 I asked another server to check on our drinks, who informed us that they had been ready and waiting. Several minutes later the bartender brought our drinks which were not even what we ordered! About 10 minutes after that our original sever came by to let us know that my wife would need to order something else as they were out of pasta and that they only had enough for our son. My wife placed another order. The waitress than came back and informed us that they did not even have enough for my son. I than said I would pay for the drinks and leave. I have never ever felt the need to leave and take my family out of a restaurant before. This experience was truly horrible. I have also never wrote a review before ever but I feel compelled to forewarn other customers of the truly awful experience that awaits them at this establishment.

Stopped by for a bite to eat before heading back to CT. Nice view! Friendly staff and enjoyed probably the best eggs benedict I've had!

First of all, this isn't a hotel; it's a motel. Second and worst, the picture showing a lovely wheelchair ramp isn't even the motel, it's their restaurant. If you're in a wheelchair, you won't even be able to get to the motel's office let alone a room. We only managed because we had a cab driver who used to be a farmer and was strong enough to lift my chair. Then, when my wife had trouble with the key in the door of our room, the woman from the office was very rude and sarcastic. The room itself was clean, comfortable and well sized but felt slightly shabby because of the very dated decor. We won't be back.

Food was okay. Waitress was beyond rude and classless. She was sarcastic the whole dinner, and made it a point to make a comment about everything we ate. At the end when she handed me the bill, she WROTE AND CIRCLED the amount that she wanted me to tip her, noting that "for parties of 6 it is recommended that we tip 20%". I took her recommendation into consideration and tipped 18%, given that it is a small town and I wanted to leave her a nice tip. But also keeping in mind that the service and her tack was lousy. To no ones surprise, she picked up the bill and said to me, in front of everyone at the table and in the restaurant "No, you need to tip me the amount I circled". I replied back that it was a recommendation, and her response was that I had no choice. At this point, I wanted to leave her zero but I gave her the tip she was asking for, handed her the bill, and got the hell out of that restaurant. Hope that $5.00 really meant a lot to her!

Restaurant is gorgeous inside, views are beautiful. Food was decent, not great. Agree with other reviews that some seemed warmed over or left too long. Worst part, waitress come back with the bill after we paid it and informed us of the 18% minimum for parties of 6 or morehich was not noted anywhere. We were calculating 20% before tax but she wanted more. Have never heard of anything so crass.

Lake Front didn't live up to my expectations. The service was a bit strange, it seemed like only half of the wait staff could speak english and knew how restaurants work. The food was OK and the outdoor seating was a nice touch, but I don't understand why the outdoor seating faced the parking lot instead of the lake.

Don't waste your money. I had the roast beef special. The meat was gray, and without flavor. It was steamed, not roasted. It definitely was not prime rib. My wife's broiled seafood combo had no seasoning and was uninteresting. They charge about twice what other Cooperstown restaurants charge.

Always a great meal, the lake view is beautiful, and the baseball teams r the best too.

I have only gone once. The food was adequate, the prices were high. Nice view, not worth it to me.

The wings were all spice and no butter. The fried green tomatoes were tasty and the onion soup was excellent. However, the cocktails tasted like they had no booze and the lobster roll had one piece of claw meat and nothing else. Who puts apples into mashed sweet potatoes without warning? The food was… fine.

Great service and food. The beautiful view of the lake can be enjoyed from inside or outside. There is a fabulous drink selection featuring drafts from the local brewery. Customers can even grab a fishing pole and bait from the restaurant to go fishing after their meal.

Stopped by this elegant restaurant on the lake for Mother's Day. The gourmet Turkey Dinner was really excellent! It was served in a light but creamy gravy with fresh cranberry sauce and cornbread stuffing as well as fork tender green beans. The price was reasonable too. From the wine to the scallops to the salad to the entree, every ingredient was fresh and vibrant. I wish I saved room for dessert.

Wonderful! The best berry blast salad! Wait staff amazing too! We will definitely be back.

Very poor experience overall. The hostess didn't even speak or greet us when we walked in. She failed to notify a server that we had been sat at a table. The view is good but not worth the poor service. The only good thing here are the bartenders! Come get some drinks AT THE BAR, not food.

Amazing view and great restaurant. Convenient location for the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Stayed there two nights when we visited BBHOF. Very nice… clean… friendly staff. Unbeatable location at the base of the lake. Can't wait to go back.

This is an immaculate motel! All the following info is good info for any potential guest… Rooms are very clean but minimally decore… No water pressure and no shower head of any value… didnt look like a shower head at all… toiletries are 1 small bottle of shampoo/conditioner for 2 adults and hair dryer has no power… so bring your own toiletries and hair dryer… magnificent view of Lake Oswego from any room… save your money on a balcony! Not necessary… rooms r a bit pricy but I guess they feel the view is worth it… Walk out your door and u can see the lake… huge lake… fabulous… that view makes this hotel… U can sit outside of your room as comfy canvas chairs r provided. The Glimmerglass boat has an hour boat ride which is in a small walking distance from your room. $16pp and the hotel gives u 1 comp ticket… its relaxing but it should be at least 2hrs… Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks r available at a reasonable price… the boat it immaculate as well. The restaurant is lovely with 2 big picture windows with a view of the lake! Beautiful… Nautical decor… Staff is lovely . Breakfast was very good… best hollandaise I ever had… and we're 20 mins outside of manhattan.

Breakfast Food & service: meh, the view is excellent Nice location, low service standards (3 visits), food poorly prepared. This restaurant has a nice location overlooking the lake. We visited on three different Sundays a few months apart. On each occasion we experienced similar issues. The service standards aren't good. From our most recent visit: We were promptly seated and our order was taken. Coffee, juice and water arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The coffee was hot. There was an unbussed table in a nearly empty dining room. After a while the dirty plates were moved to a tray, but the tray with the dirty dishes was left in the dining room for 15 minutes. There were dead bugs on several of the window sills inside the dining room. A radio station playing 1980's hits was playing loudly. I enjoyed the music, though it seemed an odd choice for a Sunday morning breakfast. Our server did not return to refill our coffee & water before the meal arrived. The meals arrived in a reasonable amount of time. A half empty ketchup bottle was brought to the table with the meal (good that ketchup was delivered with the meal, bad that it was half empty). The pancakes were quite thin and not fluffy. The omlette was overcooked. The homefries were also quite overcooked and tough. Also, they were just cubes of fried potatoes (no onions, garlic, tomatoes, or spices). The salsa for the Mexican omlette was good. Fresh tasting, possibly even house made.

The hotel equivalent of a five-tool baseball player. Very friendly and helpful staff, two blocks from the HOF, clean and pleasant rooms, free Wi-Fi, and great views of the lake. I'm sure I'll be back after some Yankees "Core Four" players get added to the HOF.

The best owner & staff. Food is always amazing! Chef Alex is creative & Carter's to your needs. My opinion is everyone needs to stop at this special place while in Cooperstown. Best friends & family ever. You would really miss out on the Cooperstown experience if you do.

The Lakefront hotel was a great place to stay! Walking distance to town and a straight shot to the BHOF. Only complaint would be that our room had no refrigerator, would have loved even a mini fridge. My husband and I took this trip as our honeymoon and were there for a week so had food to store.
