Great hotel, everything was nice and spacious. We were here for a large family gathering and this place was perfect. They had very casual outdoor seating great for meals and drinks as well as a come as you go atmosphere. They accommodated our large and were flexible on timing. We also very much enjoyed their lakeside views and outdoor seating at the property. This place was great for a stay in the 1000 Islands.

Top-notch hotel. Well maintained, clean, newspaper and coffee available near the elevators. Cozy bar and lounge. We ate outside near the water served tasty meals by attentive wait staff. Calamari was tender, Duck was real good and so was the Salmon. I give this 4-star hotel 5 stars.

This is a great hotel! The rooms are spacious, we'll appointed and there was even turn down service. It is situated right on the river for great views from your room or the restaurant on the property.

Beautiful scenery, love the river, and the gorgeous Poker Run boats! But we waited a very long time for our meal! It was not overly crowded which was surprising! Pleasant waitress brought over bread because of the wait!

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. On our most recent visit on the evenings of 7/6 and 7/7, it was the first time that housekeeping missed our room for tidying up after our first night. Their policy is not to provide fresh towels every day unless you request that. However, housekeeping had not even been in to check. We were gone all afternoon so there was ample time for housekeeping to visit. The location is a beautiful spot right on the St. Lawrence river. The rooms so far have been quiet at night — we have gotten a good night's sleep every time we have been there. We do agree with some reviewers that the color choices in the rooms are bland beige and brown, with a couple of orange pillows. But the rooms are large and well-equipped. Could use more towel bars. One strange thing in the room was the bedside clock. It was a fancy clock, but the time was an hour behind the correct eastern daylight saving time. We looked everywhere on the clock to find the button or knob to change the time. There was none. We called guest services, and they advised that yes, some of the clocks in the hotel had not automatically moved forward for daylight savings time. They advised that there was no way to change the time manually.! Very bizarre. It seems that a hotel that charges such high prices could go buy some replacement alarm clocks that actually display the correct time.

Hands down gorgeous accommodations. Immaculately clean, helpful and welcoming staff, and a lovely location for our friends wedding reception. Right on the St. Lawrence river with a great view.

Loved this place. What a Gem! Staff was so friendly n helpful. Room was fantastic. Will definitely stay again. Be sure to tour the Boltz castle if you are in the area.

The best service. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Lauren and Claire were exceptionally professional and courteous. Spotless accommodations. Spectacular views and outdoor patio area. We are already planning our next trip back.

Great hotel, nice pool and hot tub — although not deep. Restaurant and bar are very nice. Excellent view on to river. Doesn't feel like the touristy spot many of the places nearby appear to be.

The front desk receptionists were very friendly and polite when we came to check in. They got us situated in our rooms quickly and told us about the food places nearby. All the hotel staff we came across during our stay were friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms were extremely spacious and clean. We had two river view rooms that were well worth the money we paid. (One king with sofa and one double. ) They had all amenities for a typical stay (hair dryer, Q-tips, cotton swabs, assortment of soaps and shampoo, mini fridge, clothing iron, etc. ) The rooms were particularly nice because they featured hardwood/tile/laminate floors instead of the usual carpet. This made it feel much cleaner, and the floor was nice and cool when we walked on it. There was also a spacious entry way with vanity table and plenty of mirrors. The washroom was also clean and spacious with a lot of counter space. Definitely no worries of hitting your knees on the door when using the toilet because it had a separate area to the side. We used the pool facilities as well, and they were extremely clean. Towels were provided at the pool area, and there were washrooms there as well. The hotel's restaurant serves great breakfast options that were surprisingly affordable. It didn't feel at all that we were being charged an arm and a leg for the food or service. They also had complementary coffee by the elevators in the morning.

Real cool ritzy place, obviously high end hotel. View from room amazing of st lawrence seaway. Felt like was staying at a mansion! Even heavy terry cloth robes you can wear in room. Nice staff. Clean and refreshing pool area. Only reason not 5 star was continental BF too pricey for what you get, and no coffee makers/ coffee anywhere in hotel! Except for a few hours in the morning, they put them out on each floor. But coffee so strong could hardly drink it. Had to drive to local cafe to get good coffee. Irish pub nearby to walk and get dinner at. Nice get away place for a couple, too nice of place to take the kids.

The hotel is fantastic, the views are beautiful the food is great. I have nothing bad to say here at all. By far the nicest place to stay in clayton or Alexandria Bay or the the whole region.

Nice hotel, clean and well maintained. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the hotel's restaurant. Great view of the St. Lawance River.

Great location with great staff and quality restaurant and bar on site. Walking distance from several local amenities including quality massages, museum, restaurants and taverns. $$$$ Pricey but well worth a romantic getaway or wedding. Leave the kids at home;)

We were up in town visiting for a wedding. Our room was absolutely beautiful even though I felt it was a bit overpriced. I also read online that are windows in our room we're supposed to have of you and they face the parking lot. If it wasn't for that one mistake and would have given them five stars. But when you get outside and start walking around the property it's absolutely beautiful. That night we visited the bar and it was mediocre at best. But they have the most wonderful seating area outside for everybody and they had kerosene heaters lit. So even though it was very cold outside everybody was able to enjoy the view in the fresh air and stay warm.

Wonderful amenities and beautiful atmosphere placed on the majestic St. Lawrence River. Food was delicious and we also enjoyed walking downtown and listening to the live music on the river. Can't wait to go back.

Our room was immaculate, stylish and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and food was excellent (portions way too much, if that can even be considered a problem! )

This location is beautiful. The view is amazing. The rooms were very well taken care of. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. I would highly recommend this location to everyone.

EXCELLENT HOTEL! We stayed at this Newer Hotel the end of October. Front desk staff were great to deal with (Sonya and Josh). Made to feel Welcome when arriving. Extra Pillows brought to room right away. Cleaning staff and housekeeping polite when interacting. Had a concern with Hair being in the Shower Drain. Addressed at the front desk. Housekeeping cleaned Immediately! The Hotel Restaurant is a little pricey, BUT the food was AWESOME. Our Server was Trevor. Polite and Cared about his Customers. Unfortunately, it was the end of season, so MOST of the quaint shops were closed. The Indoor Pool was Clean and the Hot Tub Perfect for the end of day Relaxation. The bad: PLEASE PLEASE fix the Hot water pressure on the fourth floor where we resided. The pressure was sooooo low that it was difficult to enjoy a hot shower! Other than this issue, a GOLD Star. Cant find much to complain about. Rooms are big and clean. Beds are comfortable. Great view from balcony. Food was also very good.

I cant say enough good things about this hotel and this staff. We were traveling with my elderly parents — this hotel was a bit more than we wanted to spend — but it was for my parents so we figured it was worth it. And it was worth every penny — from the initial phone call making to make the reservation, the front staff, the restaurant — every person we met was over the top professional and kind. The view — the grounds — the food — it was a wonderful experience and I can not Thank them enough for making my parents trip so special —

Beautiful Hotel. The view of the river was spectacular. Food was Great and the service was wonderful. Loved sitting by the fire pit on the patio at night. Would visit this place again.

This is the Best hotel in the 1000 Island. Very Clean! Very nice rooms. In the morning there is a coffee setup on each floor, Good Coffee. Loved it.

Awesome staff and amazing customer service and hospitality. Gorgeous new suite and extremely spacious. Will be coming back again and again! ;)

We go to the 1000 islands all the time since wee have family there. Our first trip to the harbor hotel was for our anniversary, and it was great! Great food great drinks, the staff were excellent. Little slow at the bar though. We sat there for at least 5 minutes while the bartenders didn't look like they were doing a ton. They just said "be with you in a moment" and ignored us for 5 minutes. It was a lot better at dinner. Food and drinks all came in a timely manner. It was beautiful on the river, freighter ships pass by, the sunset was right across the river. All in all it was a great night and we will be going back.

The hotel is right on the water and located right in town. Although I did not stay at this hotel, we walked along the trail that was adjacent to the water. It had outdoor seating and events taking place. The hotel has a higher price point. Parking easily accessible.

Beautiful hotel on gorgeous grounds over looking the St. Lawrence river. Rooms and views are spectacular. Out door dining in the Summer months is superb. You will not be disappointed staying here. The ambiance is what we like the most and keeps us visiting it many times.

Beautiful new facility right on the river. Rooms are really nice and some have balconies with river views. The bar & restaurant are really nice with a large outdoor patio with seating overlooking the river.

Very nice, clean, spacious rooms with nice decor. It's right on the riverfront, and the grounds are well kept. The desk staff are helpful.

Did not stay at hotel, ate at restaurant. Pleasant dining experience. Food was good, but not a good value. Service was good. Of our party of four, three were very pleased with the meal, one thought it was just OK.

We love this hotel! This staff are friendly, and location is amazing. The interior decoration is quite nice too. The colors are lovely, and the showers are clean and spacious. The restaurant has a great view, and the patio is a heavenly spot for drinks or tea. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quick stay or a longer visit. It's worth it!

If you're visiting anything within a half hour of Clayton, NY, I would highly suggest staying at this hotel for a night or two! Anymore than that and you'll start raking up a $500+ bill, so be aware of the prices, especially for the "river view suites". The hotel is practically brand new with vaulted ceilings, huge hallways, and complete with a bar, restaurant, pool/hot tub/suana, and of course the St. Lawrence River right in your backyard! Just one of my favorite parts: nightly turn down service. With your permission, and while you're out of the room, hotel staff will come in around evening time to dim the lights, pull back your blankets, turn on some jazz, and leave a chocolate morsel on your pillow. How elegant. For a price, you can upgrade to wine, roses, etc. To enhance the romantic getaway. 5 stars all day!

Stayed overnight as a stop over on a road trip. The hotel had a very nice atmosphere with great views of the St Laurence river. It was far from the average cookie cutter hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would stay again.

Reservations for mother's day brunch. The meal was great. The atmosphere was fabulous. Nice view of the st. Lawrence River also.

We came to determine whether we would have a wedding reception at the Hotel. By the end of the first day, and based on the horrible service, problems with the facility and failure of the GM to even speak to us about our concerns, we changed our plans and have decided on another venue. Just a sampling of our problems: 1. One person at the front desk trying to answer phones, check guests in and respond to guests questions — 20 minutes before we could begin to check in. 2. Hotel allowed a local car dealer to block the front entrance with his cars for sale requiring guests to park a significant ways from the front doors and shuffle back and forth with their luggage on a 2 degree day. 3. Fifteen minute wait to be seated in the restaurant when there were less than ten people in the bar and restaurant. 4. No waitperson after 20 minutes. We left. 5. Television did not work on our first day and hotel ignored our requests for service. 6. Before we decided to change our plans to have the reception here, and to give them a fair chance to discuss our issues after the GM blew us off, we emailed Hart Hotels HQ in Buffalo. No response. While the views are beautiful, the staff and service are horrible.

Great looking hotel. Nice rooms great service. Loved it!

My wife and I stayed there for our wedding night. The staff and managers were the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing! Everyone we encountered congratulated us and asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. They even surprised us with rose petals in the room and on the bed before we got back from our ceremony! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere in the dining room was bright and cheerful thanks to the wait staff. I'd recommend the Harbor Inn to anyone who is looking for genuine Northern New York hospitality.

As we visit local relatives regularly, we waited with great anticipation the opening of the hotel. Our relatives spoke highly of their initial outdoor eating experience. So we were excited to try it out. Well, what a disappointment. We sat at a table for 20 minutes before anyone approached. The waitress said we would need to speak to the hostess for service. She informed us that all outdoor tables required that we eat dinner. Well it was 330pm. We would have had numerous drinks and appetizers and been out by 430pm. AND most of the tables were empty. Well off to the Channelside we went.

This hotel was AMAZING! I felt like we got a steal, but it was towards the end of August when we went. From the moment we arrived, everything was 1st class. The staff members were helpful and welcoming. The room was BEAUTIFUL! It looked like something out of a magazine. The beds were super comfortable, it was very clean, and the location was perfect. The pool was wonderful, but one of my favorite features was the outdoor bar with the fire pits. It was so relaxing. My husband and I were out there almost every night of our trip. WORTH EVERY PENNY! I could say so much more, but you just have to come here. Best Hotel I have ever stayed in… bar none!

Stayed here for 2 days before my husband deployed. Everyone made us feel special, the food was great, and the view was spectacular. The rooms were so cozy and beds beyond comfortable. We plan to stay again when he returns, I can't wait!

The food was excellent and over all a great value. One of the nicest hotels on the southern shore of the river. A must stay. While there visit the antique boat museum too!

Best hotel I ever stayed in. Stayed week after 4 of July (mid week) and was absolutely surprised at the overall value and exceptional service. Even weekend rates did not seem outrageous given the first class conditions and 1000 island location. Restaurant is a bit pricey but smack dab on the water with a great view of the islands and seaway. My kids and wife absolutely loved this hotel and we could have stayed a few more days if we had the time. Walking distance to downtown. You can swim in St Lawrence from a very nearby dock if you can stand the freezing water of St Lawrence. A relatively short (10 to 15 miles) drive to Kringe Point SP which is a beautiful 1000 island park that is definitely worth a 1 to 2 hour visit. There are a couple of other shore line SP even closer but did not visit. I have paid far more money for hotel rooms half as nice. I am originally from the area and believe this is by far the nicest resort in the 1000 island area.

This is my favorite place on the St. Lawrence River!

Beautiful location and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable with a large walk in shower. Breakfast is very good with good sized portions. Having cocktails out on the patio facing the river is just perfect. Dinner was also very good but management needs to automate the seating and reservation procedure as currently it is done manually on paper.

Very upset to be told they only rent on a weekly basis to government employees. Such a narrow thought process. Why exclude most of the population? Discrimination will close this place down eventually. Why exclude people with good jobs who work hard for their money? Turn away tourist? I for one as a local will make sure to include this bit of information every time I hear a mention of this place. If the goal of this place is to turn the locals and tourist away they are doing an excellent job.

What a wonderful evening we had there! It was a beautiful night and we ate outside and watched the ships go by. We have been there several times and the food is always good. Tonight we had a seafood dish with lobster, scallops and shrimp. It was fantastic! Our waitress, Sammi, took great care of us and was very attentive. We had a reservation and were seated right away despite the crowd. At the end of the meal a manager came over and asked us how everything was. Great food, great service. Our favorite restaurant in the area! We enjoy sitting by the fire pits in the evening with friends. It's so relaxing. The grounds and hotel itself are beautiful. We will be recommending it for any of our friends that want to stay in the area and are looking for a first class place to stay.
