I rented an accessible room because my sister was in a wheelchair and the room was so small that we couldn’t turn her chair around. Also the bed was too high and we had to lift her into the bed. The hotel is not accessible.

Great staff. Nice place to stay.

I have to say The best Western in Canton WOW what an amazing place to have a wedding. It is so beautiful and so many rooms for different scenery for pictures for a wedding! Loved how it was decorated and the rustic wood. The staff was absolutely amazing. Especially Michele Dougherty you did an amazing job all day and night girl wow what an amazing time the food was so delicious the best prime rib and chicken I have ever had. 5 Stars for best western if you need a place to host your wedding I would def think of the best western. 5 stars for the service. Everyone was so friendly and kind and was non stop doing their job. Great job you guys! Very clean and rooms are very nice as well. You get it all in one place and everything about the Best Western is great. You wont be disappointed.

They need to be more explicit in explaining the charges for the rooms. To say that it will take 2 weeks to get a deposit back is ridiculous. Not really upfront when taking your money.

The rooms are way smaller then they show in their pictures. So is the hot tub and pool. Not to mention they put a hold on my card for a deposit, which they said would be released as soon as we check out cause we paid cash. Went to use my card an hour after we checked out and it said my card was locked. Went back there to talk to them and then they tell me it takes 3 to 4 days to get the card off hold and for a debit card it can take longer. So now I have no way to pay my Bill's as they have a hold on my card for who k ow how long.

So far this has been a wonderful place to stay, only wished I brought my swimsuit.

Other than booking third party got me a view of the garage the hotel was great. Comfy bed, great restaurant, and easy check out.

5 stars here is for the food they serve at the Lounge/Bar and Restaurant. There are not many places in Potsdam & Canton that offer great food, but here is one. We ordered Maple Bourbon burger, Baked Salmon with mashed potato, and Black Bean burger and we're very happy with the taste & presentation & price.

We have just spent a lovely weekend in Canton at the Best Western University Inn. We have been coming to this hotel for about 9 years now. We are a group of 18 — 22 people and we play golf and enjoy the facilities. The service is excellent — the food is very good and we continue to enjoy the golf and the whole experience. As always, everyone makes us feel welcome and ensures that we have a lovely time. Thank you.

Beautiful golf course setting! The staff goes out of their way… all of them. Cathy made us so welcome when we checked in. The rooms are modern and the beds so comfortable!

My favorite place to relax and eat on my lunch hour from work. Especially on a particularly trying day.

Love this place. Travel to many five star resorts. Not comparing, but it is comparable in service, cleanliness, and food service. They should put in an outdoor pool. If you are visiting any of the 4 colleges in the area, you can't go wrong staying here.

All the staff I encountered was great. My room was clean and comfortable. I needed assistance with my car. The front desk staff immediately called out fro help from other staff members and the call was answered I think within less than a minute. So grateful for everyone's help that day to get me back on the road.

The room was spotless and comfortable. Exercise room was quite advanced and filled with new equipment. Plus they had a pool, spa and golf course.

Very nice venue for a wedding. Barn doors and cathedral ceiling with beams. Food was much better than was expected. Beds are comfortable but very high off floor and bathroom in room was tiny.

I would like to say that the rooms were clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We went to the restaurant while we were there and I have to say, the food was great and the service was great. I would like to extend a thank you to our waitress Brittney. She was awesome!

Service is frequently slow on weekday nights. Last Tuesday our group of 6 people waited over 1 hour for our food (there were 3 salads ordered plus 3 sandwiches). We asked for a discount and were told we would get one, and we didn't get it. On top of that, we told the waitress we needed separate checks, and she didn't separate them. We had to wait even longer! Not all of this was the waitress' fault — — the kitchen must be severely understaffed. I gave this establishment 2 stars because the salad I ordered, once received, was good.

Went for my granddaughters 8th birthday. Me, my granddaughter, her brother and their cousin. They had a BLAST! They loved the room. We had just gotten some new toys and they had room to play with them. We spent most of the time in the pool though! WOW! Beautiful pool, hot tub and lots of tables, chairs and loungers. Towels on all tables, so you don't need to pack any! Clean comfortable beds. Microwave, fridge and vending/ice nearby. Will definitely go back!

The hotel facilities and the amenities are excellent. The health club is superior with Precor machines and the perfect combination for a good workout. The pool and spa are spacious, clean, and modern. The food for the restaurant and grill room is fine quality and the prices are reasonable. This is an excellent hotel for Best Western.

Over all the facilities and everything at the hotel are pretty good. The restaurant especially for dinner has some great food. The braised pork chop I had was outstanding. Decent wine selection and drink selection at the lounge. Really helpful and friendly staff.

This is a great place in a great town. This is by far the best hotel in a long drive. Have stayed here before and will stay here again. Love the pool and hot tub. Bar staff is friendly and talkative. Restaurant food is exactly what you expect at a good price. Recommended.

Nice clean quiet rooms and pleasant service. Though the bathrooms are pretty small with short showerheads, but I would certainly stay here again.

I was immediately pleasantly taken by surprise. I had assumed this stay would be nice and all but not nearly as great as it has actually been. The young woman Susan at the front desk happily checked us in although it was close to midnight when we arrived. They could not have been more accommodating and it was beyond clean and neat and most importantly warm and cozy… warm chocolate chip cookies by the fireplace or hot tub after a four plus hour trip can do wonders for ones sanity. I would 100% return to this very location anytime! Thank you Mucho Best Western ♥️

Service was a little slow at first but as soon as our order was taken everything went quickly. The food and drinks were outstanding and our waitress was very pleasant.

The best Western is located on a beautiful golf course. The restaurant has great meals at an affordable price and is very cute. It usually take around and hour and a half to be seated, eat, and leave. I would definitely recommend!

We had wonderful service at every turn and always appreciate the warm North Country hospitality. We also always enjoy using the fitness and pool facility. The convenience to campus can't be beat.

Fantastic hotel with a perfect location in town, the best staff a hotel could ask for, and newly renovated rooms! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or near Canton.

This hotel has an wonderful 24 hour fitness facility, including a sauna. My room overlooked the golf course and had a very comfortable bed. The staff was very pleasant and the restaurant had very delicious food. I will be staying here again next time I am in the area.

Good stay with a sports team prior to an event. Rooms were nice and updated and the staff set us up with a separate Continental breakfast. All in all a good stay and a hotel we would look to come back to.

There isn't much choice in Canton so we always stay at the Best Western. Our latest visit was disappointing because the hotel staff did not properly clean our rooms. We were also annoyed that they advertised the restaurant was open until 10 PM but at 9:45 were closing down. While they did accommodate an order, we had to take it to go.

Nice Hotel. Staff was great. Rooms were clean and nice. Bed was elevated off the floor a little higher than most places. This will be an issue for anyone with disabilities or not able to hop up onto the bed. I found this odd but they have chairs in the room where you can sit to put on your shoes. I liked the bar which was very busy and the food was pretty good. The exterior and interior seem to be fairly well maintained. Some signs of wear on the carpeting on the stairs. My only wish was that the price was slightly lower. But other than that I will stay there again.

Great one night stay. Stayed in the king bed room with balcony. Loved using the jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool. Everything clean and smelled fresh. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Again, great stay. If in the area again, we will be staying here again.

The Wifi in some rooms is questionable. The rooms I've been I are small and tight. Staff was very helpful when I had a problem uploading some files over Wi-Fi and they moved me to another room. Better view but just as small a room. They have a restaurant onsite with pretty good fair. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. I give them 4 out of 5

We had a great stay. Dinner was delicious. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Family friendly. Bar was nice. Beautiful location.

In Canton, one of the better boarding options. Restaurant prices are a bit high, but still worthwhile if you find yourself in the North Country.

The hotel and it's staff were extremely helpful and professional. Hotel was clean. Pool was a little cold. Hot tub was nice. Only issue was the Hot water for the complimentary drinks was cold, but it was early eveing. Other wise nice hotel good rates comfy bed!

The service in the restaurant was very slow even though there were only a few tables taken, but the food was pretty good.

Has a nice indoor pool. Resteraunt was good, handled a large group of us easily. Bartender was very nice. The room had fairly small beds. Less than queen. The place was an interesting kind of maze to get anywhere. Workout room seemed well stocked.

The room was clean and comfortable. Compared to most hotels, the fitness center was fantastic.

The room rate came out to be $300 for two night stay. For that price I would expect to find cleanliness. As a mold remediation specialist, indoor environmental hygienist, building inspector, and contractor I want to stay in rooms which won't make me have concerns with the building. This was not the case here! The room given was on the backside of the building on the 3rd floor. The room was very small causing by family to have to climb over a bed to get by when someone is sitting at the desk chair. There is water staining on the walls in at least 3 areas from roof or HVAC leakage. There is mold growth on a couple areas in the shower. Dirt accumulation between the walls and floors around the entire room with small pieces of food and garbage noted behind and under furnishings as well as heavy dust built up on the wall paper behind the lamp. The sheets and pillow cases did not have a clean feeling. Was almost sticky/moist. Huge disappointment! Signs of further water leakage in rest of hotel as well as a running dehumidifier placed in the lower level hallway. That was not getting into the outdated aspects of the hotel. For the rate I feel I should have received a decent room. Instead I received a room which was worth $35 at a prime season! Want to know how to upload the photos of this place so others can see what we received so that they don't make the same mistake.

Slow slow slow. But good food. Have to order food when you start getting hungry and by the time you get it, you're starving.

Alright, this place is not awful but it needs a bit more care and thought into a bunch of things. The staff was alright, friendly, but not very enthusiastic, and Paul the manager when we asked a question, he snapped and was very rude. He did seem a lot nicer after he realized. No complimentary breakfast was provided which is offered at other hotels in the area. In the room the microwave and fridge (Which is awesome that they even offer that) looks as if they were their when they built the place really old, your grandparents probably have more updated appliances. BRING your own glass cups, they have paper and plastic ones. The paper ones say "caution when microwaving" (That gives the impression that you can) well for a quick hot water for tea, the cup burns at bottom and stinks the room a little. Big safety hazard if it burnt the hotel down if people put it in to long. Shouldn't even have them. The shower/tub Faucet is all messed up, don't know if its the design or if its broken but turning it all the way on is cold water and turning it halfway is hot.? The water pressure is pretty bad too. I wanted to go to the pool, but as always, it closes to early (10pm) But it looked pretty nice and the fitness center was also very nice. Great equipment. When you first walk into the hotel it will smell like choline and the pool is way in the back of the hotel. The room as a tint of pool smell as well.
