Solid all around. A big online hotel website messed up our reservation. Mike at the front desk helped us tremendously. He was patient with us and the guy calling from said website. He also gave us a better rate so call ahead. Hotel overall was bare bones but clean and convenient.

The host was very kind and understanding. Plus, pet friendly hotels/motels are hard to find in this area. A definite bonus for pet lovers. The only other pet friendly place we could find was the Queensbury Hotel which was much more expensive, and not well cared for (we stayed there too). Red Roof was cleaner, and had better meal options near by than the other place.

Simple, fine, nice people, decent bed, needs new shower curtains to stop bathroom flooding.

Room was good for the price. Pro's — offered dorm size refrigerator and microwave. Cons — fridge was noisy, neighboring rooms alarm started at 5:15 and continued for over an hour.

Rooms were nice and cozy, and the location of the building is very close to everything so if you wanted to order something to eat it was availlable.

Always a solid place to stay when we visit family in the area. Love that they are pet friendly.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last month, and it is an average hotel for this price range. PROS: Fantastic location next door to shopping and restaurants. Good pricing. Good room availability. Pet-friendly. Wi-Fi was reliable, and there was on-demand programming on the television. The room was for the most part clean, although there were some questionable things dripped down the walls. There were large muffins and fritters available in the lobby each morning, as well as free coffee. Parking was adequate. CONS: No frills. Don't expect to get any little book that tells you about the hotels amenities, the area, hotel policies, or even when breakfast is served. Don't expect a pen and notepad. Don't expect there to be hangers for your clothes (even though there is a place to PUT hangers) or to be able to get extra pillows (we tried). There are two very thin, very small pillows per bed, which all three of us found to be inadequate. Don't expect the on-demand features of the television to be easy to use; you have to search for shows by their CHANNEL instead of by name or genre. Shower curtains were not water-proof, so bathroom floor was always soaked, no matter how careful we were with the water. There wer bad paint and drywall repair jobs throughout the rooms (they painted AROUND the dressers, painted light fixtures, did sloppy drywall repairs, etc. ) I was displeased because they were changing out furniture during our 3-day stay.

I liked the place, especially the wooden floor. It gives a clean and fresh feeling.

Super friendly staff! The man at the front desk was very accommodating and even helped me carry my cooler to my room after filling it with ice. The room was a nice size and comfortable. I also brought my Saint Bernard, Titan who was treated very well with no extra charge.

This Red Roof Inn is a very nice motel at a reasonable price. It is relatively small, and we found the area very quiet. Our room was quite spacious. Room and grounds all very clean and well tended. We stay at Red Roof whenever we can because we know our dog is welcome. This one has outstanding front desk service and we truly felt welcome. I hope to be able to visit here again. Five stars.

Great price. Staff was helpful. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. Small fridge, microwave, coffee maker in room for great convenience. I will definitely stay there again.

The room was nice and very clean. Breakfast was basically donuts and danishes. Walls were a bit thin and the bed noisy when movingbut otherwise it was great.

Room was very clean and the very quiet. One of the best redroof inn I have ever stayed in.

Outstanding premises. Service is surprisingly good for a no-frills hotel. The room is neat, clean and very comfy. There is free Wi-Fi, but it can be spotty at times.

You get what you pay for. The place was overall fine, but cheap: you could clearly hear the neighbors, I saw a few ants, the place was clean but not phenomenal. Given the choice between this or the no-name places in the village I'd pick this, but wow would I have liked other affordable options.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. They also meet our main requirement — they accept pets. The staff (owners? ) were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was pretty limited this time but still a nice place to stay. We'll be back.

It's an ok place to stay. Not expensive, but we had free passes. Biggest complaint was that it wasn't quiet… walls were paper thin.

OK well it must depend who is working. I stayed at month ago and it was great. Now I stayed last week well not good! The room wasn't vacuumed the 2 bed had human and dog hair on the blankets the bed spreads were dirty and stained 2 out of the 4 pillows had hair on them the bathroom was dirty. Wa $ definitely not a good stay.

Very clean place and when asked for more towels they brought them right to us. They have been very helpful and polite to us.

Watch Anthony Melchiorri on the travel channel called hotel impossible. You all have the right before payment to inspect the room offered to you, if you just trust and pay, you will be disapointed. Customer must remember this, as a former hotel desk clerk (courtesy hotel west Hempstead) no person who works for a hotel / motel is going to disclose secrets to you, reviews disclose what could be wrong and it is managements duty to correct those complaints. We walked out, broken window not replaced before registering a customer.

We were greeted for our 4 night stay by the manager, Don. He is a man of few words. I asked for directions to the nearest visitors center and was given very vague instructions. We asked for extra pillows as we forgot to bring our extras. (the last Red Roof we stayed at happily supplied pillows for us) We were told that there should be 6 pillows in each room. No offer for extra pillows. There were 4 of us in a room. Maybe it is because I had read previous reviews and I was a bit extra critical but the following were bothersome to my husband also, who had NOT read any reviews before staying at this Red Roof. 1) We were given room 107, ground floor right outside of the lobby. It was extremely noisy at ALL hours of the day and night. At times it sounded like there was a basketball game going on above our heads. 2) The traffic noise calms down around 10 pm but picks up again right around 7 am. Don't expect to sleep in too long if you are vacationing. 3) Room 107 had at least a 1" gap in the entryway door that let flys in from the outdoors. The door itself closed fine, it looks like it was just hung improperly. 4) SLOW Wi-Fi. This didn't bother me as much as it did my husband who was trying to catch up on some of his work during our trip. Some things to consider. This is a fine hotel for a place to rest your head. Our housekeeper Laura was TOP Notch! Make sure you ask for a place on the top floor away from the road! Read and trust the reviews if you are booking here.

I wanted to check in early with a $59.00 published rate, the place was empty, no pool, no free breakfast and the desk clerk wanted to charge me an extra $40.00 for checking in prior to 3:00 PM. I went down the street to the Econolodge and they were more that happy to allow me to check in early for the same rate.

First impression was of the staff. The woman who checked us in late Sunday night (I'm sorry I don't remember your name) was very nice and helpful, and most important — patient. We popped the AAA Discount question after she ran our credit card, forcing her to redo it. Then we asked for a different room and she happily put us in the back away from traffic. Our dog loved the decent-sized grassy area. The room was clean and totally undamaged. Smoking rooms are rare these days and nice ones are all but unheard of. We have stayed in fancier hotels with more amenities (and much higher prices) but this Red Roof is a nice place to stay, especially if traveling with a pet. There's no reason to go anywhere else.

I managed to stay in room 207. The room reported to have bed bugs. Room was clean and good condition. When I checked in, I had already read this posted and was surprised to be given room 207. I tried to change but the manager told me that after the reported incident, the room was inspected and cleaned. They claimed no bugs were ever in the room. Anyway it was in good condition.
