Very sad to see that the ownership has changed. We used to come here a couple of times a year. Prices have gone up and the special touches have been lost. Very disappointing.

Love this place for its ADK style, clean rooms, comfy beds and warm hospitality. Perfect spot to take in all that the area has to offer.

Very nice and clean! We stayed here this past week to ski at Gore during a week-long tour of ski areas and it made me wish we could stay another night. One of my biggest hopes is always cleanliness and they delivered. The alpine touches were great, made it comfortable! way better than a lot of places.

Location was in midst of village, outdoor fireplace at back of property, cozy fireplace in room, beautiful rooms, comfy bed. Well done to ownership & management! :)

The bed was so comfortable very clean. Walking distance to peddle rail.

Excellent, service, rooms, and location!

My boyfriend and I purchased a Gore Mountain Ski & Stay package with The Alpine Lodge the first weekend in March. We were delighted with the accommodations, especially for the small price tag! Nice, cozy room with a rustic Adirondack flair. We especially enjoyed the fire pit out back — it was fabulous to relax out there with a bottle of wine after a day on the slopes and watch the snow flurries fall! The Lodge staff were friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the 24/7 access to the common area with coffee, tea, and a microwave. Convenient to Gore, the (admittedly small selection of) local restaurants, and grocery/liquor store. Our only complaint is soundproofing could be better — we had some noisy neighbors the first night. Even so, we definitely recommend The Alpine Lodge for a comfortable and economical stay. We will definitely stay at the Lodge again next time we travel to Gore!

The place was clean and talk about super nice staff. They were very friendly and welcoming. I would come back in the future.

Definitely not like they show on the website. For starters the fireplace did not work. Little to no restaurants in walking distance to eat. Wine cellar that they claim was next door is vacant. Continental breakfast was a joke. No shelving in the bathroom, so your clean towels pretty much come out of the dryer and they are hung on composite antlers. Don’t provide condition and the soap is no bigger than a 1/2 dollar. The only thing you hear all right is the old ass refrigerator kicking on and off all night. Got the room we did for what was supposed to be an anniversary getaway. VERY DISAPPOINTED… and so NOT WORTH the $240 a night…

We stayed at The Alpine Lodge because we got to Northern New York too late in the day for me to check into my dorm at a nearby school. They don't have a formal check-in or check-out process, which is unusual, and the lady wasn't at the front desk when we first arrived. She eventually showed up and led us to our room. The room itself was quaint, with two beds possessing hard mattresses. The bathroom was fine, although apparently they don't have housekeeping. The complementary breakfast the following morning was from 7:30 to 9:30 and was about what you'd expect. They had two things of cereal, about eight oatmeal packets, juice boxes, milk boxes, frozen egg mcmuffins, coffee, hot cocoa and bagels. You must certainly get what you pay for at a place like this.

Great place to stay when visiting North Creek. Beautiful rooms, great service, and fresh bagels in the morning! What's not to like!

I recently photographed a wedding and stayed the weekend here. First I will review the room. Clean and spacious, my wife and I actually told the property manager that we could easily live there. Located in the village of North Creek, you feel like you’ve walked into a cabin in the Adirondacks when you walk into the room. The furniture is rustic and overall you just feel comfortable and relaxed there. The wedding. Being a guest as well and in no way affiliated with the lodge professionally, the bride and groom told me their stay was phenomenal. Exactly what they expected for a wedding retreat. The staff was exceptional in preparing for the outdoor wedding under their beautiful pavilion with a fireplace. Overall, I left after the weekend feeling refreshed and with a clear mind. I can’t add a single suggestion for the staff there because everything was just that good.

The rooms are clean, cozy, welcoming, and updated, although somewhat small, but honestly we were in North Creek to explore and not spend much time in the room, so perfect if that's what you're looking for. I appreciated the do-it-yourself nature of this hotel — they have it set up so you can pretty much not interact with a single staff member during your stay, if that's your thing. The best thing about this hotel is the location — walkable to multiple restaurants, bars, shops, and outdoor activities.

I recently held my mini wedding (elopement) at Alpine Lodge. My husband and I are very appreciative and very happy with the outcome of our wedding. We wanted an intimate atmosphere with only close family and friends and wanted to keep the focus primarily on our love, respect and journey with one another. The venue is quite quaint and tasteful. The staff is extremely courteous and respectful. The grounds for the wedding is wonderful and with a little creativity, you can make it your own special day a moment of breathtaking wonder. I was impressed by the personal touch management gave to us at our special day. As long as you communicate with management regularly, you too will have a special and wonderful day. The rooms are very nicely decorated and cared for. They have turn down service and leave clean towels in your room daily. The town during summer and fall season is booming and worth the visit. I believe you will not be disappointed when making your visit up North! Thank you to all the Staff at The Alpine Lodge! You helped make this day as special as can be! Also special shout out to Melissa, the General Manager for doing an exceptional job in helping make this day spectacular.

Very clean soft bed the shower was nice and Hot Would come again.

The Eagle's Nest is an awesome place to stay while skiing Gore. Super cozy.

We had a great stay. Room was VERY clean, there were some nice eateries close by. Would definitely recommend this place.

Highly recommend this property. Room was clean and very comfy. Living room just a few steps away was also nice. Breakfast was a nice add on as well. Oh, and the skiing at Gore was superb!

Cozy beautiful comfy rooms. Main room lounge has coffee in the morning just before a day of skiing. It's great.

Awesome modern built old school rustic style hotel near a great ski location In gore mountain. Pros — quick check in they email you the key code to you door and you can let yourself in — one of the few hotels close to gore mountain — clean and modern amenities — lounge that anyone can access with a neat popcorn machine — walking distance to a nice breakfast and lunch restaurants a pharmacy liquor store bar and super market. — interesting fire pit in the back — Wi-Fi — great local food within walking distance (I really like Sarah’s cafe behind it for breakfast, and Izzy’s for lunch, check them out). — direct TV with many channels (no nbcsn for hockey fans but more choices than typical hotels) Cons — parking is limited and very icy. They don’t really Salt anything they just throw dirty down (this may be a New York thing as other industrial parking lots in the area didn’t salt either, only the supermarket did). — a hot tub would be better than a fire pit in my opinion. — no desk in the room if you are trying to work — they don’t give you Wi-Fi codes per room so if it’s a busy weekend and you get there late expect to not be able to connect a device. Neutral — one time we got here really late around 11pm, and our door key code didn’t work. I tried calling the service person from the phone booth they had but no one answered. As I was calling my friend was trying random combos and he got it open.

They have a very nice accommodation. Rooms are furnished in old school lodge design. Plus they kept them very clean. The only issue I had while staying there was that they had no fresh breakfast. They had the grocery store bagels, the bread and jams and coffee. But what's missing were fresh cooked omelettes and Oatmeal. They don't have a kitchen. All of their microwave oatmeal bowls were long expired. Them including breakfast in the prices but not having adequate servings was disappointing.

My wife and I are having a great stay so far at The Alpine Lodge. Room is very clean and the furnishings give you that Adirondacks feeling. Highly recommend.

We found this place by accident while driving through the Adirondacks. This place is fantastic. Well designed, clean, and friendly service. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

The good. The room is new and clean. The construction is of good quality and fits well in the Adrondacks. Covered spot to sit out front of the room and a nice balcony out back. The bad. The room is small. There was one wooden chair to sit on and not comfortable. We had three bags, one large and two medium sized. Once we put those in the room we did not have much room to move around. The Wi-Fi was going in and out, constantly dropping out. They have direct tv. That did not work, maybe I am missing something. We tend to go hard during the day and like to have 1 or 2 hours of down time at night. Yes I check my emails on vacation who doesn't! The town is nice but much more geared to the ski crowd. If your the type that skis all day and drinks all night and goes to the room to pass out, this room will be fine. If you want to spend that hour or two in the room, you may not be very happy. Looked great on the internet. What doesnt.

We stayed here for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend. The room was cute with a rustic feel. The way the room was laid out was a little odd. There is a "hall" that winds past the sink then past the toilet before getting to the shower. Everything was clean. My one complaint is that the concierge wasn't able to suggest any nice hikes for an older couple who were in the office the same time I was. She kept telling them to look through some guide book and pick one. She was friendly, but there are many hikes in the area of varying difficulty and it can be hard to choose one from a guide book.

We got the Eagle's Nest apartment… a perfect choice!

Nice little spot. Clean with everything you need for a agood weekend of skiing. Minimal, but very nice staff. Right in the middle of town. Walking distance to a few bar and a ten minute ride to the mountain on the shuttle, which stops at the lodge.

The Alpine Lodge is great. The rooms are large and comfortable. The décor gives it a nice cozy atmosphere as well. It's very clean as well. It has a handful of places in walking distance to get food or drinks. The employees are nice and willing to help but they're not in your face, perfect if you ask me. The only downfall to this place that I could say is that there's no refrigerator in the rooms. If I'm looking for someplace to stay in this area of the Adirondacks again I will not hesitate to stay here, and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to someone else.

We are frequent guest at the Alpine Lodge for over 2 years and love staying there. The lodge is very well maintained and the rooms are clean, rustic and unique. Everything is done right. The area is quite, laid back and quaint. The lodge manager Leo is such a gentleman he sincerely cares about the guest and lodge, he is very accommodating, friendly, respectful, polite and knowledgeable about the area, he is another reason we like the Alpine so much.
