I love it here. Roomy, comfortable beddings, quiet, breakfast, snacks, water. Everything is free. People are nice. Glen is a wonderful concierge. When in downtown, stay here and have a good night sleep.

Our experience was so great! Tajae was so personable and friendly when we checked in and each time we saw her. She made us feel like we belonged there. Fran was fantastic with restaurant recommendations and even helped us make reservations. They honestly made our stay memorable! If we ever make it back to Philly, Sonesta will be the ONLY place we stay!

Got a room with two queen beds even though I was on my own so the space wasn't especially useful. Quality was indicative of a 3-star chain, nice but nothing special. Have slept on comfier beds with comfier pillows at other hotels.

This Was a Truly Awsome Experience, I Don't really Like Hotels, But This One Was Amazing, The Room Was Very Clean And The Room Service Was Outstanding! I recommend This Hotel For Many Reasons! They Have Awesome Breakfast And Awesome Service, The Place Has A Warm Happy Feeling. And Just Over All It's An Awesome Place To Go Too!

The location is very convenient and it’s very close to the Philly Phlash. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the customer service was great. Our hotel was very reasonably priced, especially for the location. If you’re looking for good food that’s close by, it’s very close to Yummy Sushi, which I highly recommend. If you’re going to just park your car and leave it, there are much cheaper parking garages to be found very close by.

We are here on our honeymoon! Found a good price/package that included parking. Location is great, we are able to walk most places we wanted to go, public transport is also very close if that's wanted. There is construction going on so a bit noisy they did warn us when booking and during check in, however no price break or anything but since we were told can't really complain much about that. Pool is freezing! And we were here in August when it was over 80 every day… and no hot tub those were disappointing features.

Excellent hotel, with an extremely helpful and attentive staff. We rented the king suite, it was beautiful and exactly as shown in pictures. The room was spacious and comfy. We were at the end of the hall, it was quiet. The pool was amazing. The built in parking lot is a nice touch, bought the parking package to eliminate the need for finding spots and lots. Recommendations of places to eat by the front desk, were spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and plan to stay there on a future visit!

Good hotel. Central to downtown happenings. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The rooms are nice and most importantly clean. Didn't have any issues getting additional towels. Their pool area is equipped with cabanas and lounge furniture. The fitness center pretty much has everything you'd need to complete a full body workout. Their bar area is pretty nice but I spent more time in the Ruth Chris Steakhouse which has an enterance from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great Hotel for a reasonable price! I had a "junior king", perfect size room for one person. Bed was great, room clean and well appointed. Rooftop pool was awesome in the heat, and not gross and clammy like indoor pools at most hotels. Staff was friendly and gracious, as were the car parking staff. Nice location, close to everything. If you need a hotel in Philly, this is a good place to stay.

It was a nice hotel, the only thing that turned me off was the fact that I was at the pool with my 10 year old daughter and the manager comes up to us as we were leaving and has me show him that my card would work as if I weren't staying in the hotel. It was blatant racism/ profiling (from another person of color) as the people who walked out a minute before us weren't asked a thing.

The location is great for my work, and is in an area of town with a lot of great restaurants and bars. Rooms are modern, and very clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Service is good. I've stayed here many times, and have not been treated poorly. I had to contact Sonesta recently because I didn't receive rewards points for two of my stays earlier this year, but they corrected it quickly. Overall, great hotel for the price.

Nice Hotel BUT Super Disorganized I booked 2 rooms at this hotel — 1 for me and 1 for my work colleague. At the time of the booking I requested a feather free room. Again when I checked in reminded them feather-free — this was at 10am — told them I would not be going to the room until 5pm, so they had plenty of time to get my room in order. When I finally went to lie down at 9pm — I realized the bed was full of feathers. Had to wait 15 min for someone to come to the room, then another 20 min for them to remove the feathers. I find this to be outrageously annoying considering I gave them plenty of pre-warning. Upon check out I told them about the feathers and they did credit me the $48 for valet parking as a gesture — which I think is nice. However, when I tried to obtain a copy of my receipt it took me 8 calls before I got to a person who could help and then the receipt had my colleagues name on it, with my room number and home address, but her name. For expense purposes, this is not ideal, but they told me there was no one who could change the name. I checked in with my name, checked out and paid with my name, so why would the receipt not say my name! So over it — will never stay at one of these properties again unless mandated for work function.

The service is impeccable. The staff is very friendly and helpful in the answers. My room was very comfortable and warm. It has all the necessary facilities.

Conveniently located (right next door) and fast valet parking, prompt and friendly check in, clean and comfortable room, spacious bathroom, on site bar, and secure/trusted luggage storage (with Bellman Andrew) after check out until we left the city. Location on market street was nice for us to walk literally everywhere we went. Nearby wawa and Starbucks.

I travel a lot in my job and stay in many hotels. I often go to Philadelphia and highly recommend the Sonesta Rittenhouse. The facility has been recently renovated but the real reason to go is the staff. They are so friendly and eager to make guests feel at home. They recognize me when I return and go the extra mile. I left my blue tooth recently and they fedexed it to me overnight at no charge. Stay at the Sonesta and you too will agree!

It was a very nice room. It was clean and stylish. Everything worked, and had no issues with service. The club lounge is an added bonus to he able to get some snacks and relax inside the hotel but not in your room.

It is conveniently located within walking distance of museums and shopping areas! The room was big and spacious and Stephanie who works in Room Service is absolutely amazing! We stayed 2 weekends in a row! Very hospitable!

I didn't feel like I was in a luxurious room or anything too fancy (ref: luxury hotel), but it was roomy and clean. It's in a great location and there's valet parking. The Eagles were playing in the Superbowl (they won. Fly Eagles Fly) and they had a little fan appreciation thing going on in the lobby (nice touch). Nice lounge off the lobby as well.

This is a good hotel with really big rooms. I found the corporate breakfast really basic and it kinda feels you're on other people's way. The booking asks for a bit too much information and the second time you book, you still need to fill in everything. The staff are so nice and helpful though and the amenities are fine. The location is great and the views are mostly good.

I was here for a conference. Lovely hotel. However, the downstairs bakery items, including the breakfast sandwiches, were rubbery and stale (and were around $7-$9 a piece! ) though the service was very nice. As to the conference aspects of the hotel, I was frustrated with the conference rooms upstairs — — they had not been cleaned from the night before when our panel began, and the wiring on the light switches was messed up such that turning lights down in one room actually turned them down in the adjacent room and vice versa. Since I was screening a film, it was a bit of an inconvenience.

Great place for the price. Rooms were clean. Location was great so walking places was not a problem. Ruth Chris is a joke but I don't think they are part of the hotel.

Great location in Center City, attached hotel bar was busy and very vibrant. Rooms had good views in upper levels, clean albeit smaller. Valet parking service was convenient particularly if you can get it included in the rate.

Definitely the perfect place to sleep is the Sonesta Hotel. Ten minutes from the train station, a stone's throw from the One Liberty Observation Deck. Its central location will allow you to reach every destination in a short time. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. Also, the panoramic views of Philadelphia's skyscrapers will make you wake up like in a movie.

The Sonesta was a great place to stay. Within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff at The Sonesta was very helpful and friendly, especially the bellboy, Andrew, and the concierge, Kyron. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Philly.

Great location within walking distance of just about everything. Staff are all very friendly and room is very comfortable. Only real downside for me is that I need a car for this trip and parking at the hotel is a third-party valet affair running $48/day. There may be cheaper alternatives close by but I didn't think to search for them before my trip.

Great location! You can find many places to eat nearby. You can also visit places such as The Franklin Industry and The Academy of Natural Sciences. I love the decor and the room was very clean. The front desk was helpful and we had a good experience staying at this hotel overall. Only bad part was having to pay for parking. There really isn't anywhere to park near the hotel either so we ended up parking at a garage as we got a good deal using a parking app. I believe it's $45 a day to park at the hotel which is too much.

Beautiful, modern hotel. Decent sized rooms with lots of amenities cramed into the space. In room coffee, however, is terrible. Not sure why hotels can't get this stuff right. Room service coffee is better, but it's a $10 cup of coffee… Great location overall and the staff are very friendly and accommodating!

This was a very nice hotel to stay at. The staff was friendly including the garage valet drivers. The rooms were clean and comfortable and well stocked. The hallways were a little run down but everything else was great. You need a key card to ride the elevator and that is something that I really look for in a hotel.

My wife bought me the most gorgeous Stetson brim today. She was so happy to see me smile when she returned to the room with it. We went out for short run to Gino's to get cheese steaks. Once we returned, the hat was missing. We tried to get the hotel to find out who took it. They were less than helpful. None the less, my wife cried herself to sleep. She was so disappointed. I have traveled the world. A I have been to very desperate places but I have never had anything taken out of my room. Sonesta cannot ever replace all the joy that was stolen today due to the New Years grinch that took what was not theirs. So sad. So very sad…

Staff is very attentive and nice! My work had their Christmas party there and we had a gentleman that was cleaning our table and giving us more water if we needed it. Very nice man. Made sure to thank him and he told me he was very grateful for the gesture. Made my night.

I stayed here on a work trip. The staff is very friendly. However, the bellman was incredibly late for my check out. I loved the fact that it was right in Rittenhouse Square. Walking distance to everything. They also provide breakfast, dinner & snacks to club members.

I've stayed here several times for work trips. The hotel is always clean. The staff is phenomenal and very pleasant to deal with. Great views from the windows. They have a nice bar downstairs, and a steakhouse attached if you don't want to head out. Great location!

The hotel was professional, clean, attractive, and very close to everything. The beds we're comfortable, the bathroom was quite large and had good water pressure and temperatures, and the staff was nice and helpful. There's a bar downstairs open late. I was at an event in the hotel as well, and the large and smaller conference rooms are nice, well lit, and have comfortable chairs. Unfortunately, they are still holding an additional $250 on my credit card for 7-10 days for incidentals. That seems like way too long and too much. They're probably raking in a lot of money on interest on my money. It's also a barrier to people who may not have a high credit limit. Also, there is no complimentary shuttle to the airport.

This was a nice hotel. Fairly large rooms with a couch, chair, and table. The beds were nice and comfortable as well. The only complaint is the price. If you are willing to pay a lot but want to be in the middle of the city, I would recommend you come here.

Joy at the front desk was helpful and courteous. She went above and beyond. We were visiting from Phoenix and asked about going to New York for the day. She took the time to look up fares for Amtrak among other things. Thank you Joy!

Great hotel! One of the few, or only, in Philly with a pool. Room was standard and clean. Nice and big lobby with bar and restaurant. Valet parking was included with our room rate!

I stayed in a King bedroom at the Sonesta for three nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was smaller than average but was able to move around the room. The bathroom was clean as well. The hotel is located in a great location. It is near some great attractions and restaurants/bars. The hotel is relatively close to the highway. Parking is expensive (~$44 per night) but it is generally expensive throughout the downtown area. There is also in and out privileges with valet service.

Just wow! Great staff, friendly, accommodating and tentative. The facilities are very clean and the pool is nothing short of amazing! The rooms are spacious and very modern chic. It's rooftop view is awesome, and you can order to the pool from room service menu. I highly recommend this hotel for all, solo, couples, families and business travelers.

I stayed 2 nights at the Sonesta in Philadelphia, PA. Beautiful decor, especially if you enjoy art and extremely friendly staff. From the front desk to the houskeepers, every staff member I encountered spoke to me. Asking how my stay is and if I needed anything. I stayed in a room with 2 full beds that were made up with the brightest/clean white linens AND the beds were comfortable!

Lovely hotel. Stayed with a friend who's in town for work. Loved the flavored water in the lobby for after work and the staff was very friendly. I asked for a shower cap late at night one night and it was never delivered, but that did not change my assessment of the hotel.

My family of 3 stayed 2 nights here and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location, awesome staff, we were 3 hours early and were checked right in, great valet parking attendants, beautiful and top notch cleanliness. However, I did not give 5 stars because the only downfall was that the day of our expected check in they had the full amount "pending" and unavailable from out account, ok cool, BUT on top of that they put an additional $250 hold when we actually checked in (totaling $622) before I even stepped foot into the place good. Never have I experienced this. Lastly, I do recommend but be ready for their billing process!

Beautiful hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and so is the pool. However, the parking for the trip costs as much as staying an extra night here! So, if you do stay here, I don't recommend driving.

Nice hotel. Excellent location — near lots of good restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly. The valet parking was convenient and quick. I wish the hotel had more elevators. There were some people down the hall from my room, drunkenly screaming in the hall at 1AM. Their behavior was ridiculous and must have woken everyone on the floor. Called the front desk and they quickly sent a security guy who handled the problem efficiently. The room was a decent size and was clean. I didn't get a chance to see the pool. I asked in advance to have a baby crib in the room and it was already set up before we checked in. I recommend this hotel.

Asked the hotel to split the bill for our stay so I could pay for hotel parking, as my dad graciously paid for the hotel stay. They split the bill alright: mistakenly charged me $900 which has left my bank account in arrears with 4 NSF fees, and me essentially broke for the last 5 days. Was told the first time I called that I would not be charged. I was. Was told the 2nd time I called when I was still missing $900 from my account that they would have to check to see what they "could do for me" and was promised a call back by 10:30 AM today. Didn't receive a call back so I called the GM and the Accounting Manager, Carol, who I'd been communicating with thus far. Left them voicemails. Called again and asked the customer services folks to please speak to a person. Gave my name and briefly explained to her my situation, as they were both in a meeting, I asked if she explain that I was promised a call by 10:30 and could they take my call. She informed me that neither person would leave the meeting and take my call. I'm on the phone with Sonesta's corporate customer care line right now and so far they've been spectacular. I didn't feel, when dealing with Carol or the Philly location, that this issue was a priority, and quite frankly, it should be.

Good location and beds fantastic.

The room was excellent! All 3 of us had reasonable tidy places for our bags, and there were plenty of drawers and closet spaces. Nice big comfortable beds were only let down by the bizarre approach to duvet covers (a flat sheet on either side). Breakfast was basic, and seemed haphazard (the staff couldn't find non-disposable spoons). The central location was excellent. I'd stay again.

When checking in, the person at the desk failed to tell us our booked room was not ready yet. (we were early). He proceeded to just put us in a smaller room with a smaller bed without telling us or offering to just hold our bags. We called down and they switched our room to the correct style but it wasn't ready, so we of course checked our bags and went about our business until it was ready. Upon checking out, our bill was not correct, as we were charged the standard rate instead of my booked rate. Of course this had to bed changed again. The staff was helpful, but quite mistake prone. They were quick to fix their mistakes though. The room was clean, yet I'm glad I got a discount rate as the regular rate of $350 night for a king bed room seemed very high for what is offered.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night and it was a good experience. It was a fast check in. Check in usually starts at 4, but we got a room even before that. You just have to give them your number and they will call once the room becomes available. The staff is very respectful, always greeting you. The entire hotel is very very very clean! The rooms are the perfect size for 2 people. We got a room with a king bed and that bed was incredibly comfortable! It was like sleeping on clouds. They offer shampoo, conditioner and body wash which smells like mango, so delicious! The check out was even easier. You just place your keys in an express check out box. A perfect experience here!

It was in a good location. There is a bar downstairs as well as a resteraunt. There is a rooftop bar a block away and many restaurants nearby. The service was good and the workers were accommodating. There is also a nice rooftop pool on the 8th floor.

The hotel is located in the middle of bustling Philadelphia. My visit was for pleasure, however, I understand most people come to this hotel for business. All of the staff that I encountered were very friendly and professional. The check and in and out were expedient. This is a lovely property. The room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and as a single traveler, I felt very comfortable staying at this hotel. This area is taxi friendly and I had no problem getting around. There are lots of restaurants around the hotel as well as one inside the hotel. All of the meals that I had in the hotel were from room service and the food was delicious. I would definitely stay here again. Just and FYI – The hotel pumps a fragrance into the rooms. This seems to be the way more and more hotels are going. However, if you have respiratory issues this may be problematic.

This was a phenomenal location near Rittenhouse Square and several other Philadelphia locations. The room was small but comfortable. Unfortunately it was near the elevator and with thin walls we heard every person who entered and exited the floor. It was very difficult to sleep with the constant noise of other guests.

Stayed for one night. Rooms were small but nice. The gym was pathetic. Half the machines didn't work and there weren't many of them. You do get access to the gym across the street, but on a freezing day I didn't feel like walking across the street in shorts. The room service food was mediocre at best although the fries were good.

I had an unfortunate experience but the director of Guest Experience, Suzette Parungao, took care of my issue in a very courteous and professional way. I admit I was ready to discontinue my future business with Sonesta Philadelphia but I can confidently say that will not be the case moving forward. I look forward to future stays at this hotel in Philadelphia as it is very conveniently located and comfortable.

I'm a repeat visitor. From the front desk (Stefan) all the way to housekeeping, the guests are treated exceptionally well. The hotel is situated in the heart of everything. Food, bars, shopping. The rooms are very roomy. Very modern. Well appointed. Plenty of power outlets and USB ports.

Room was clean, checkout was easy. Ordered dinner and food was very good! Ceiling over shower was falling down and outlet was hanging out of the wall. Overall, not a bad hotel at all but watch out — they put a hold on your card for the ENTIRE amount of your stay that doesn't drop off for 2-3 weeks IN ADDITION to charging your card the full amount. So have twice the cost of your stay available. I've heard of holding incidentals before but really, Sonesta? I have to wait 3 weeks to get your $500 hold removed while you make interest on my money?

Love this place! They staff are amazing. They are curtious, helpful, & knowledgeable. The room is beautiful, but simple which is perfect. The décor is funky and fun.

My friends and I stay here every year we head down to Philly, rooms are clean, very big, staff is awesome and always helpful in accommodating our requests and most important of all, they always do it with a smile with no attitude. That's a big win in our books and we will continue to stay here every time we're in town. Location is great too, there's lots to see, eat and do within the area.

Wish I stayed longer. Only had one night and the hotel was great. Well appointed, spacious rooms with super comfy beds. Staff were very pleasant and easy to deal with. The valet situation is a bit confusing. Valet gave me a ticket and said to give to the front desk. Front desk didn't give it back, which made collecting my car tricky, but the staff went out of their way to fix the problem.

Best hotel ever. So nice, both the looks and the staff. We came for 1 night for our honeymoon roadtrip and they upgraded our room and left some sparkling wine, glasses, and chocolate covered cherries as a honeymoon gift! Valet services were even nice.
