Com pletely acceptable hotel experience. Good location. Clean. Very nice staff. Good oatmeal breakfast served up by a lovely young lady in the cafe. One thing though. There are mats in the elevator with I guess Philly themes. A liberty bell eg. But one of the mats is a colonial flag. This is not right to use the US flag literally as a doormat. Please hang the flag proudly in the lobby and get it off the floor of your elevator.
Overall, very good, but no hot water in the morning was not a good way to start my day.
Great location very walkable many bars and restaurants nearby, easy septa train ride from airport.
Everything is fantastic rooms brilliant.
Trying to call the hotel for the last 30 minutes. Every prompt puts you in a revolving loop of the phone just ringing or sending you to mail boxes that are full. The only person I got was a central reservation analyst who suggested that I call the same hotel number to get the front desk. I have never experienced a hotel where you can't get a person on the phone from any dept mid-afternoon. So now I'm left guessing why I have a mystery charge on my credit card statement.
This is my first time here and everything is so close. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops.
Business atmosphere good work Environment.
Nice lobby area & clean spacious rooms with awesome city views!
Great view of the downtown area and close to everything.
We stayed in There wasn’t a refrigerator, the bathtub didn’t drain when you showered, the sink faucets leaked onto the counter when the water was on, very uncomfortable beds.
They stole my money, and won't give it back… My television was broken and my bathroom flooded. Did I mention 4 different employees told me I would get a refund.
Could hear people talking and watching TV at 3am. Also, there were no wash cloths in the bathroom. When I requested wash cloths to bathe with, I was told that the hotel didn’t have anymore and the truck should bring some in the morning. 😡
I called hotel staff that my mom lost her phone. The hotel staff and the security also confirmed they found my mom's phone. It's been 5 days I'm calling the hotel staff still no reply when are they gonna send the phone.
Very nice clean and relaxing place. Friendliness associates.
This was the first hotel where the front desk called when we were in our room to make sure we were good with everything. The bar/restaurant was great. But the view… can’t put a price on that.
Great Location and very clean. Safety measures in place to keep you safe.
Clean facility, friendly staff, exceptional service. This hotel is right behind the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and within walking distance of so many great historical sites and museums. Valet parking is available and, best of all, you can keep your vehicle here until 6p. M. The day of your check out. That's 6 hours of extra parking without worry!
Current there is construction on 17th street so the rooms facing Logan Square were not as quiet as our previous visit. But, with so many attractions and the convenience of parking, a little night time construction dissolves as busy tourists are exhausted at the end of the day.
Stayed here for work and the staff is super nice! Hotel is very clean! Rooms are quite spacious and is located near everything you could need or want!
The location is great but the clientele I encountered from the lobby to the elevators were young and some hood rats. The elevators smelled like weed and the hallways like weed also. No vending machines because of COVID — 19 which Im trying to understand why. What does one thing have to do with the other. But overall my turn off is the number of young teens smelling like weed in the lobby just acting a fool.
My first time in Philadelphia and I chose this place for my birthday celebration because it was affordable and it seemed like the right choice at the time. The customer service was very nice. My room was clean and beautiful but my stay was absolutely MISERABLE! First of all,
1. This is by far the WORST location to catch a cab. You're either waiting 20 minutes long or they don't even show up at all. It wasn't a cab issue because I didn't have this problem in no other place except here.
2. Only a few floors were available for ice chips.
3. Charged my card TWICE for a 1 night stay. REALLY Sheraton?
Oh! Let's not forget…
4. The fire alarms were blaring off… twice at 3am. It took them 15 minutes both times to shut them off.
*Long sigh*…
Never again…
That is all
Clean and friendly environment rooms should have a refrigerator.
Nice and big size room bad customer service.
Nice room wouldn't come back charge our card twice and said they didn't.
Nice hotel, very grandly employees, clean, good food.
I don’t know why so many folks gave this hotel bad reviews. It’s in very close proximity to the Art Museum and Reading Terminal Market among other things. The valets, front desk and cleaners were all polite and kind. The elevator was fast — a lot of complaints about it being slow. We got to the 26nd floor in about 15 seconds. I didn’t find my room or bathroom to be dirty or outdated. The shower was awesome, good water pressure and it stayed hot! The only thing that could’ve made this stay better was cheaper breakfast options. The buffet seemed a little pricey to me. Wish there were more grab and go options. I would definitely stay at the 201 Philadelphia Hotel again!
I was there for a conference. They have very friendly staffs.
Nicely furnished rooms with city views… friendly staff… reasonably priced.
Very nice people and helpful staff michael and Susan highly recommend place.
Good staff, rooms and price wasn't too bad. Okay place to cool out at it have a meet!
Nice view and comfortable beds, slept well and enjoyed the 201's location for local attractions.
Incredible staff! They anticipate your needs and the hotel is in a great location.
Not sure what's up with all the bad reviews. Stayed here for 3 days and it was great! Very clean, front desk was helpful and the breakfast staff went above and beyond. Beautiful views and the location can't be beat!
We had a nice stay here. Everything was clean and our room was nice. Staff was friendly and polite. Location is also very good. We would stay here again for sure!
No ice machines this place sucks had to go an asked for ice an they seemed like it was a problem to go get me some I would never go back there never!
The convenience in location, staff workers are very pleasant.
Pricey, rooms need updating. Service is good but definitely little to work with. Was previously a Sheraton Hotel. Just wondering if they lost the franchise because they wouldn't or couldn't meet Sheraton's standards.
Very friendly and accommodating staff the building is a bit old but otherwise comfortable.
The place is a dive, dirty ripped carpets, clogged tubs, limited ice machines that work. No pool or hot tub. Very disappointing.
Yes, this is a dated property. There is no question about that. However, my experience was very positive. I got a great rate thanks to a special they were having — much less than surrounding budget hotels in fact. … I also got a free upgrade to a suite (902) which was unexpected and certainly welcomed. 2pm checkout was proactively offered because of my Gold membership. The suite, while dated, was spotless and very quiet, and had just about everything I could ask for. Bed was very comfortable. The only improvement would be having a safe in the room. Service was excellent overall. I would definitely return at the right price!
Could use a mini fridge. Carpet make over. Closet door is broken. Drapes could be updated. The location is nice we are near all the shops and food. The lobby was beautiful. No pool and it's the end of June.
Don't like it. Old dirty room. Construction crew started at 7:15 above me. Went to buffet before I headed home for breakfast, had my luggage with me and asked to sit on the lower level but Kayla brought me upstairs watching me drag my luggage. Waited 10 minutes for my coffee. Gave me my check. I am on my way home. I do not recommend this hotel.
We had an event and they DID NOT provide enough tables. We were standing for two hours without eating and then when we moved tables to sit at them we were SCREAMED AT by employees. This is the MOST unprofessional thing I’ve ever experienced. Do not stay here.
Extremely outdated and un-maintained rooms. Fittings (eg power points, taps) coming off the wall, paint chips, carpet in very poor condition. No safe or fridge in the room. The house keepers do a good job for what they have to work with, the shower water pressure is good and beds aren’t too bad. But this place is some extreme need of an upgrade. Lobby and meeting rooms are deceptive, as they are much better looked after than the accommodation.
Front desk staff were professional. Rooms were spacious. Bathrooms and rooms quite dated. Beds and linens clean, but not terribly comfortable. Pillow selection was nice. Hotel location was good. Breakfast included in some room rates.
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was for such an affordable price! The exterior is currently under construction, so I had little bit of difficulty finding the hotel. The lobby is large and inviting and hosts a bar that has several craft beers on tap and I restaurant that I didn't have time to try. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again on the future!
My experience at this hotel was terrible. The power went out in the early morning hours on 8/18 and I woke up very hot and uncomfortable. When I called the front desk, they advised only some rooms were effected and there wasn’t anything they could do. The next day I went down to the front desk, and they gave me a breakfast voucher for some scrambled eggs and bacon. I called again over the next few days and the managers voicemail box was full. I called back to have the manager return my phone call in the morning which they never did. Upon me calling them back on 8/20, I was placed on hold for nearly 5 minutes and spoke to a very rude individual, who claimed it wasn’t their fault so therefore, it wasn’t their problem. I think it’s unacceptable for a hotel to expect a customer to pay full price for a hotel room with AC/power in the middle of the summer time. I would never stay at this “hotel” again, absolutely pathetic.
Some of the staff was very unprofessional and even asked me if I was going to make him keep coming to my room for room service… like that's what I paid you for duh. Also no mini fridge in the room. Parking is $50.00 daily regardless of the amount time you spend there. Room smelled funny. Air conditioner had to be set on 60 in order to stay cool. For the amount I paid I could have stayed somewhere nicer.
The hotel was very nice. The rooms especially, the bathroom decor was gorgeous. The beds were plush but I had a hard time getting in and out because the bed was high. The hotel has an on-site full table service, a pool, Ice machines on every other floors. It also consists of 26 floors. They have handicap accessible rooms and if you have mobility issues make sure you book a room on a floor that you can easily descend by stairs if there is an emergency. They offer valet parking but it's expensive at $50 a night. They have a self serve parking also at $7 /24 hrs. The rooms come with iron and ironing board, small coffee maker and a big flat screen TV. Checkout is at 12 and since everyone was leaving pretty much the same time it was frustrating waiting for an uncrowded elevator. Once we were in the lobby at the checkout, things progressed very fast. The lobby is quite large with a calming decor. However, I could not understand why in the bathroom in the lobby they only had two stalls. They do have a handicap accessible bathroom in the lobby. They offer room service but last call ends at 11:00 PM. They have numerous charging stations.
Just a quick note of thanks after our recent stay at your hotel in Philadelphia. Our stay was made all the better by the outstanding service offered to us by Mary at the concierge desk. Our every question was actively listened to, actioned and responded to with the most wonderful enthusiasm and attention to detail. Mary was absolutely professional in every thing she did, she is a credit to herself and your hotel team. If distance was not such a problem I almost certainly would be trying to head hunt myself, however the commute to Wales, UK just might be a bit of an issue for the two of us! Congratulations also must be given to Amir at the check in desk who was very polite, courteous and again a credit to your team. We enjoyed our short stay in your fantastic facility and beautiful city and hope to revisit again soon.
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice grab and go breakfast for platinum members. My room upgrade request was honored after one day in a regular room, but I had to ask for it. Short walk to convention center and nearby restaurants. Cons: rooms need major renovation. Fire alarm went off multiple times daily. My room preferences weren't met in the first room or the second. My keys got deactivated on a daily basis. Longer wait lines for front desk staff.
Ideal location in the heart of the city. Very friendly staff. The rooms are clean. Comfortable beds. The pool is more a sauna. A very pleasant fragrance we get drunk when we pass the entrance door of this Palace.
I rarely write reviews but felt the need to warn fellow travelers — the location is great but this hotel is not worth the exorbitant price. Next time I would rather stay farther away from my event and use the savings to uber in. The double beds were child sized — we could only fit one person per bed. My tiny 10 year old couldn't even share with grandma so we had to make a bedroll for her on the floor. I started having back spasms from trying not to fall out of the bed all night so I wound up "sleeping" in the chair. The rooms had a general sense of age and disrepair — our room phone didn't work, the toilet was temperamental, the a. C. Unit sounded like a small plane taking off all night, there are stains all over the walls, and the carpet is pulling up into ripples which is not good for people with mobility issues. This hotel is definitely due for a renovation. The hotel staff is fantastic though! Courteous, professional, and quick to help. I wish I could give the staff 5 stars. My general review: budget motel room with a 5 star price.
Large room and comfortable bed, but old finishes and dirty and poorly kept common spaces. Old Hotel to renovate.
Really nice and clean hotel. Concierge at the hotel are really nice and go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. This hotel is very central in downtown Philadelphia and it is a good place to stay if you are coming to Philadelphia and don't have access to a car. Great amenities downstairs and a great place to stay for affordable prices. Highly recommended.
My experience with Sheraton hotel was pathetic. I wont recommend any body to a hotel like this. I booked a Queen size bed room more than a month ago. The day I went to checkin, they say that all the queen size rooms are occupied and I have to take double bed room which is cheaper than what I paid. If you don’t have the room available then you should have not accepted my booking at the time of booking. Why do you have to rob your customers for couple of extra bucks. It is ridiculous. I am not gonna book this hotel in future. There are two things I can figure out of this. Either you do this to get some extra bucks or somebody would have offered you more money for that room and you would have given that room to the person.
Beautiful views! Anton at the front desk was absolutely caring warm and so helpful. Same with Donna that does breakfast. Such a fun place. I wasn't happy with the cleanliness of my room. At check out he was quite apologetic and caring about the matter. It made it right. And I will be back.
The hotel is a bit costly but considering it is in the center of town I guess it is a normal rate. On the website says that breakfast is included which is not so. The hotel looks well presented outside and in the lobby but when you get up to the other floors you notice the deterioration in the corridors. The room was nice, well clean, and with everything you need. The gym and pool is accessible but in the last few hours there were children in pajamas running everywhere. The customer service is very good. For me the best was the buffet restaurant. The attention is very good and the food too.
Very large rooms The heating makes a lot of noise so it is almost impossible to rest properly as it turns on and off all the time. It does not have free WI-FI so for foreign guests it is not highly recommended. Breakfast is not included in the price and the coffee maker in our room did not work. There was only one tablet of soap for the shower in a room with two beds. I would not go again for the price they charge.
The hotel itself was ok. The bellhop man was ignorant. I had a lot of luggage and they only had two luggage carts. Even after I waited the bellhop man told me others were waiting and I ended making three trips to carry myself up to my room. The check in line was extremely long however the man Michael was pleasant and kind. My room was ok, no complaints I loved the shower. But security knocked on my door and accused me of having to many people in my room and that was not true. I had adjourning rooms one for the kids the other for my sister and I. Five people in total when the max compasity is 4 per room. Then he had the audacity to say he was coming back to check. I do not appreciate being threatened by hotel security for no good reason. But the nice lady at the coffee cart upgraded our coffees for free. So my all in all my stay was ok. Not the worst but definitely not the best.
The first room we got had something electrical sticking out of the wall, an outlet cover missing, and the rug was all messed up. They quickly got us into a suite and gave us two complimentary breakfast vouchers (usually $21/person) So I can’t complain about their service. Their breakfast was pretty good, but what really made my experience at this whole hotel was the service of Donna in the breakfast area. She’s a hostess/waitress but she was so incredibly kind and accommodating to my two sons who were cranky. I hope she gets some kind of recognition because she deserves it :)
During this visit I was at the Sheraton attending conference session. The conference was primarily located at the Convention Center. The Sheraton is a great venue but the two places are about 10 minutes walking distance from each other. Driving takes just as long if not longer. The Sheraton has great spaces for events of all sizes. The higher rooms have great views (a friend was staying here). The staff were great, and the lobby area restaurant is not bad either. I had lunch there one day, and while it was not great, it served the purpose. The hotel is within a few blocks of City Hall where you can get all sorts of public transportation from, including connections to Delaware and New Jersey via another station.
Lucky to get a last minute room for the Eagle's parade! The concierge (Mary? ) was super super professional and happy to help with anything, such as driving directions and dinner reservations. The lobby was filled with families in town for the celebration, so it was a party atmosphere, and everybody was in a good mood, despite the long check-in lines. Our membership allowed us to have a very quick check-in. Big rooms, with plenty of space for family of 4. Could use a make-over, or at least a few more ceiling lights, as you can't see in the dark closets. The price was reasonable, however, for what we needed.
We had an incredible experience at this hotel. Even though we arrived extremely early, our room was ready on the 24th floor with an outstanding view. We cannot choose one staff member over another because everyone was friendly an courteous. This hotel is located within walking distance of many attractions. The Starbucks cafe is a plus!
I booked this as a place for my boyfriend and I to stay for Valentine’s weekend. Since it was a Sheraton and had decent online reviews, I figured it’d be a pretty nice place. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, I booked and paid for a room with one king size bed and was put into a room with two double beds instead. Second, because it was snowing/raining the satellite TV wasn’t working. Our TV literally got about 10 channels and the rest had no signal. Is this still 2001? The bedding had stains on it. There was no fridge or microwave. They charge you an astronomical amount for Wi-Fi. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and quite honestly very upset that I paid $100+ dollars for this. The only redeeming quality was the view from our room on the 21st floor.
I'm only staying at this hotel because of a business trip nearby and this was the cheapest option. When walking in, I was slightly confused on where to check in, they layout is poor and I was told I couldn't check in until 3 PM. I wandered around the city until check-in, until having to re-check in and grab my key. This whole hotel looks like it has not been updated since the early 2000's. Everything smells old, feels old and is very dated. When trying to take a shower, the water was freezing cold for a good 5 minutes before barely warming up. Also, don't bring any food or drinks, you don't have a fridge. There also has been a cleaning cart outside my door all day, I have left and come back — still the cart in front of my door. Yet, they do not clean your room unless requested… There also has been two bar glasses from the previous guest outside my door for two days. When trying to use the Wi-Fi for business, you are prompted to pay per hour or day — it is an outrageous fee. When I reached out for why I have to pay for Wi-Fi, in 2018 — I was told I could pay to become a premium member to have Wi-Fi. That is ridiculous, even motel super 8 has free Wi-Fi. This place is fine for a night, but they do not go out of their way to make it a nice stay. I would avoid this place like the plague.
I went to the Philly Magazine event called Philly Cooks 2018. That was great!
Was skeptical after some reviews but had a nice stay. Room was clean and comfy. Halls are kinda dark. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location good. Rooms need fridge & safe being you are in city. Parking is pricey but convenient. Food & bar were good. Coffee morning lady super nice! Overall decent stay.
Rooms are old but the lobby is friendly. This in the center and city.
The combination is not bad. Sheraton in China is a standard five-star, in foreign countries to see the region, this room facilities are quite a year, for me, the impression is four stars level. Wi-Fi is charged, 13 dollars a day, parking fee is good dozens of, breakfast 201 people a day. The location is very downtown, this point is awesome. After Check-out, pay attention to credit card deduction, the hotel may be more money. If you live for a few days, you can use booking to book a discount.
Hotels in North America don't have toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, anything. That's not bad. Sheraton is the "standard Five Star in" and it has to being seen in the region. This room was very old. For me, the impression are four-star level. The Wifi is for a fee, the $ A day, the parking for dozens, and breakfast for people each day. The position is very a-thumb up. Pay attention to the credit card deduction when you check out. The hotel may deduct. You can have a discount to booking with booking. North American hotels don ' t have toothbrushes for toothpaste and.
A wonderful hotel experience. Large and inviting lobby area that offers a nice bar and casual restaurant. There is also an area to wait for guests. The rooms offer very nice views of downtown Philadelphia. They have a concierge in the lobby to help the out of town traveller. Could be a romantic get away or fun for the family.
Nice experience over all. The room was decently cleaned and made during the day. The floors were kind of gross though. The staff was very friendly. But the Starbucks was extremely disappointing because it was mostly just an over glorified coffee machine, not an actual Starbucks. But the hotel was great walking distance from the convention center and great local sites.
The hotel is located in a decent area — a 10 or 15 minute walk to some of the big spots to check out in the city. Which is good, because even though you pay $40 per night for parking, good luck finding a spot for your car. Once you park, try to plan to leave it there so you don't lose your spot. The rooms are less than what I expected. No fridge in the room, the bathroom has no fan, and the internet access seems like it must be paid for even though I signed up for their rewards program when I booked the room so I could get it for free. The one saving grace is the employees. I had car issues on the drive to Philadelphia, and just barely got to the hotel. After a pricey car repair bill, I spoke with someone at the front desk and was able to get the price for parking reduced during my stay. It helped me save a little bit of money and I really appreciated the gesture when they really weren't required to do anything. If you need a room, it will work, but I would look for other places to stay first.
I had a terrible stay here. The whole hotel is in need of a renovation which they are supposedly starting soon. The rooms on floors 22 and up are "better" as they have new carpet, curtains and some furniture. The renovated room we ended up in could be rated at 3 stars but it was the fifth room we were given. We rejected 4 rooms for reasons such as a strong smoke smell, blood on the bathroom floor, stained sheets and comforters, etc. The whole hotel is dated which I could deal with but dirty is unacceptable. I wish I had the presence of mind to take photos. The area where the ice machine was located looked like it had not been cleaned/swept in weeks. Please don't stay here or at least insist on the higher floors. The location is great. That's the only positive I can share.
Location was close to conference and that’s about where the benefits end. You have to pay for Wi-Fi either by the hour or by the day. The halls are dimly lit, more like a scary movie then a good hotel. My room had a wet comforter and the carpet needed to be replaced years ago as it was rolling up everywhere. It has basic amenities but definitely needs to be upgraded. The room was more like a low budget highway motel rather then a Sheraton in downtown Philadelphia.
Basic services. Rather old facilities. Price not Low.
There is no balance between Peecio and service the hotel does not offer TV open only pay X event and the rooms give you only 500 cc of water x room of more than 150 dollars.
The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel provides excellent service, the view of the city is breathtaking from the rooms, is a good place to rest and contemplate the sunset with a view of a city with a lot of history.
The hotel is well maintained and clean. Staff and service are good, the staff are very attentive when it comes to the needs of the guests. There is a parking lot in the underground garage which is not very cheap. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms extra, and the lobby is free to surf. The room was clean and nicely prepared. Overall recommended; The price-performance ratio would be mediocre for the hotel.
So, it's a typical American hotel. Nice staff etc. Unfortunately no free Wi-Fi in the rooms, but only in the lobby area or you have to pay for it. Parking fee too overpriced. Breakfast was not included. Generally for one or two nights no thing, but otherwise rather not…
The location of the hotel is decent. The hotel itself needs updating in the worst way. All of the carpet is coming up and bumpy. It makes it very easy to trip. In my room, there were red stains on the carpet in two spots. Other guests had similar complaints and others, including their air not working and severely damaged furniture. The staff were very nice and the hotel restaurant is good. Just needs some work especially for the price.
Decent. Bed are soft and warm. Shower heads suck but I've yet to take a good shower at a hotel. Prices are reasonable. Hotel is never to crowded. Views are nice. I'd stay there again. Oh, the elevator was dirty.
Excellent location, only 3 blocks from city hall and subway station. Walking distance to convention center and Reading Terminal Market. Rooms are nice. Staff, especially the concierge, were very helpful. Only thing, overnight guests do not get any sort of discount on parking which is $35 a night.
The hotel was a little bit older Quite clean but to modernize… a good location to visit the city…
The people are nice and professional. Thank you to our room attendant Tracy! The hotel needs renovations and additional cleaning for the high ceiling in the lobby… the vents are really dusty. The carpets are filthy, a vacuum cannot fix that. The furniture is over 10 years old. Though the lobby furniture is older it is really comfortable and cozy so keep the style just get something new. And why do you charge your patrons soooooo much to park! Give us a break we are already contributing to your bottom line. Oh yeah to the older gentleman checking luggage you are the Best!
Well, a little over the years rooms, Wi-Fi only in the lobby area. Positive, however, that on the other side of the street is a public parking garage. Here you can save the hotel's excessive parking fee.
Philadelphia Rock & Roll race weekend. Restaurant closed Saturday night. Parking is full. Ice machine doesn't work on my floor and they didn't give me the 411 on the hotel. Simple stuff. No TV channels lists to find the game on. Expected a little more for a $200+ room.
Great location, cheapest rate compared to other hotels, nice lobby with bar and you can get food until 11pm. Comfortable beds, rooms were fine. Only complaint, they didn't have a refrigerator. Only waited a few minutes for check in, and check out was a breeze. Parking across the street was really close and only $5 overnight on a Friday. Would stay again!
I stayed here last year for made in America. Had a wonderful stay. This time is was horrific. Last year the room was perfect. Comfortable pillows, great lighting, controllers actually worked, we already had a refrigerator in our room. This year was the opposite. Very disappointed. Not worth the expensive 800 bucks for 3 nights when I could find cheaper and better. Don't waste your money here.
Been waiting for a room for about two hours after "checking in" meanwhile I called a week in advance to make sure it would be ready. The entire lobby is packed with patrons waiting to get in the rooms that THEY paid for. I know there's a influx of people coming for the music festival but you should be prepared for that if you call yourself a hotel. So I paid for two nights when I'm barely getting one. Avoid this place at all costs it's a novice hotel service at best. I'm absolutely never coming here again and will tell my friends to do the same.
Rooms a little old and poorly soundproofed for a 4 star. The staff are very helpful.
The indoor pool is not suitable for swimming (pool of about 10x5m), Little Transat (5). Really only to make a dip…
Hotel to say the least indecent, dirty rooms furnished in the years 70. Shower with the tent, not even the two stars of Eastern Europe 30 years ago were so battered.
Service nn of the best services for breakfast and lunch insufficient… nn worth the cost.
The room was very good and the breakfast was very good. Sheraton…
Good price but should be renovated…
Good location to walk the city
Would need a refreshing but still OK
Missing a fridge in the room.
Looks luxurious at first but in the rooms much less the date decoration and C is abysses the elevators are more than slow and station to the Wi-Fi power cuts in the rooms overpriced brief not necessary to tell you that you are not recommending a stop I Below.
Nice room, well located hotel.
The service is good. The rooms are spacious. It is close to everything.
I was really nervous about my stay here due to all the bad reviews I read. Went to philly last weekend for a small weekend getaway and needed a place close to the city center. First, location is awesome. Everything is walking distance. Although, we did more walking than intended lol everything was nearby so we left our car at the hotel which is a plus. The past reviews had a lot of bad comments about the cleanliness and outdated look of the hotel. The room we had was way up high at the 24th floor but it was definitely clean and well put together. Very comfortable and quiet. We were very happy with our stay. Most importantly, the employees and staff members were very pleasant and took care of us well. Lobby is also very pretty. Pricey for sure but worth it considering the location and weekend we booked. Overall, a good experience.
Overall good but not renovated rooms and no not spotless. Lack of fridge bar and safe.
The hotel room is nice and the service is also good. I understood well, and employees are well-friendly. The only bad thing was that only he can use free Wi-Fi lobby.
I was surprised by how bad this hotel is considering it's a Sheraton hotel. I've stayed at other Sheraton hotels and they're much better. The location is good and the bed is comfortable. However, the rooms need updating. The heater took a while to warm the room since there was cold air in the beginning. It's supposed to be a non-smoking room but the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, there's no refrigerator or microwave but I can live without that. The Wi-Fi is very pricey, $12.95 per day. I doubt I will ever come back.
The good: Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Convenient location. The bad: Outdated big time. My room had peeling paint and stained carpets. Wi-Fi is $14 a night. Really?! Breakfast buffet was awful. $20 for lukewarm eggs and cold sausage and potatoes. Would not stay here again until changes are made.
The best part of our stay was checking in with Asia. She made the process very positive and quick. The hotel overall was in very poor condition. The room We were initially given was in horrific condition. The carpet was coming up so badly all over the room and was stained. I was completely disgusted and asked to be switched. The second room, although not as bad, was still not in great condition. The lobby is standard and doesn't offer much. I would search for a better quality stay. Sheraton better upgrade and do it quickly, there is too much other competition out there.
I am confident my wife and I were bitten by bed bugs here, which despite everything else, makes this a one star review. The hotel is high up, and we had a very nice view from the 22nd floor. Our room was pretty big. The lobby itself is pretty impressive.
YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR*********** I was in town for a conference and the Sheraton was the location of the conference. I paid $150 per night and the parking was super expensive coming to nearly $40 per day. There was much cheaper parking across the street, but the area was real bad. Homeless and street people were camped out just a few blocks away. I would not trust walking across the street to the other cheaper parking lot with my belongings so I went with the $40 per day parking. Beyond the hotel rate and the parking charge, the hotel tried to nickel and dime you for everything. There was no free internet in the room and you had to walk down to the lobby to get free internet. The internet was slow in any event. The staff at the hotel seemed to work very slowly and long lines at the lobby desk seemed like a common sight. Upon checkout, I didnt want to wait in line and so I called the hotel to check me out. Funny how Im standing in the lobby and cant get to the front desk being forced to call. Free breakfast? Nothing seemed free at this hotel. The rooms seemed dated and were nothing fancy for $150 per night ($190 per night including parking). It seemed more like a $75 hotel. My suggestion is to try another hotel. Consider the Hampton Inn which is priced about the same but has free HOT breakfast, free parking, free appetizers which can substitute for a dinner and free Wi-Fi.
Such great staff and service! They have treated us nice from the moment we walked in. Truthfully, I have not had such great service from people at a big hotel. They let us in our rooms in the morning, they comped my mom's coffee, and when we tried to thank them, they thanked us. The rooms are clean and the bed comfy. The amenities have been perfect.
They did the same thing to me. Promised breakfast, but refused it the next morning. But that was just the start. The front lobby is nice and some floors have renovated halls, but the rooms smelled of smoke and bad air freshener. My first room was really dirty. I called from the dirty room and was told to meet bellhop at new room (which was clean, but also stunk of cigarettes). They left me standing at new room with bags for 25 minutes-no bellhop. Front desk folks were very poor at damage control. The staff were nice but poorly trained. They exhibited minimal accountability or ownership for the failings. I am shocked that Starwood is affiliated with this place. Stay at Holiday inn next time for a budget hotel, and stay anywhere else for a higher-end experience. Also, the pool is gross (rust on the walls, cracked dirty floors, looks like a 1970s YMCA mini pool).
It started with a bad check-in. I booked a room with breakfast included. When I checked in the lady was nice but she made a mistake that I did not have breakfast included. After I got into the room I found the reservation email and confirmed I had free breakfast. So I went back to the front desk and a different lady helped me. After hearing about the situation, she handed me two breakfast coupon reluctantly and did not even say sorry about their mistake. And the interior of the room is a bit old and not well maintained. The worst part is the shower, the water is so slow. You just cannot take a good bath. This hotel is only licensed by Sheraton but managed and owned by another company. No wonder. I had good experience with other Sheraton hotels but this one sucks.
In town for business. I am a Marriott gal all the way but for what I do it is easier to stay wherever an event is taking place. So I ended up at this Sheraton. My experience thus far is that Sheratons are a hit or miss. There is no consistency in the brand from city to city so I never know what I am going to get. For instance, in Phoenix the Sheraton is very very nice, Atlanta not so much and now Philly is along the same line as Atlanta. Not good. Upon arrival via an UBER vehicle I saw an employee standing out front but he never directed me inside or even acknowledged that I had luggage and could be checking in. Luckily I've done this a time or two so I found my way to the check in. The lady who checked me in was really nice. Although she had my reservation wrong. I actually had booked a king bed on a high floor. She was able to get me a king bed room but on the 8th floor. I wish I'd paid attention as I like to be on a high floor and possibly could have had a better view. After successfully checking in I head to the elevators to the 8th floor. Now seems like a good time to mention that the lobby was very bright and open. I step off the elevator on the 8th floor and it is rather dark, rundown, and in need of repairs. There's some sort of panels on the wall that look like they have been repainted over in a bad way. The dark blue carpet doesn't had to the situation. I get to my room (815) and there isn't anything that makes it feel inviting.
This hotel was fine. The lobby is really nice. The parking lot is a little complicated at first and is $20 a night. The rooms are adequate if not a bit dated. Our sink wouldn't drain and they sent someone up to fix it within 10 minutes. The few from our room was nice. The indoor pool is great with sky lights showing the tops of buildings. The lobby gets pretty rowdy on weekend nights after the bars get out. Wifi is not included which I find to be pretty cheap on their part considering how much the rooms and parking are. The location is fine though not particularly close to any nightlife. Definitely decent for a couple of nights but not a standout by any means.
Everything reeks of bleach, the tops of the beds are dusty. The wallpaper has gathered dirt that is very visible. The carpets are stained. If you look at most of the towels in the light, you can see yellow stains. I've been playing phone tag with house keeping to try and get my charger that I left in the room by accident for hours now. The alarm went off twice for HOURS last night at 1 o'clock. The alarm, btw, consists of a submarine style honking paired with some robotic voice letting you know to await further instructions.
It's has an excellent view, staff services are the best I've ever seen.
Good location with slightly dated rooms We stayed at this hotel twice (Dec. 2012 and Nov. 2012). Both times we enjoyed the stay very much. They gave us high floor rooms both times with great views of the church, Logan square, Library and 30th St. Station. In-room coffee was Starbucks with good quality. The first time in Nov. The room they gave us had a cigarette smell, we reported to the housekeeping staff and she improved it right away with spraying and offered to change a room for us. Since we liked the high floor room with great view a lot so we decided to stay put. The second time we got a even nicer room with complimentary bottle water for preferred guest. This is a good hotel with lots of rooms, check-in line can be very long sometimes, They gave you free snacks and drinks while you were in line that was very nice. In room Wi-Fi was not free, but sometimes they gave you free codes for it. MS links business center offers free high speed internet and many computers for you to use that was convenient. Location is good you can walk to many attractions easily. 10 minutes walk to Chinatown where you can find nice food with great price. Room Tip: High floor with good views if possible. They gave us the same side of the views on both trips (facing Church) Stayed November 2012, traveled as a couple.
I always try and stay here when I come to town. It's a decent hotel in a good location. I've never had any issues. The room service is excellent, expensive though. I used to work in a hotel, in a major city. I know how demanding guests can get. It takes a lot to deal with hundreds of people from different walks of life and the staff here does it well. This is definitely my favorite hotel in Philly.
Stayed here in a Junior Suite for Made In America Concert Festival. Location is EXCELLENT, but the rooms are tiny and aged. Bathroom door wouldn't close completely as it was warped. Didn't choose this spot for the amenities though.
Unfortunately our stay has not gone well. Actually, aside from Mary the Concierge, nothing has gone well. Check in didn't go well, housekeeping has been rough, we didn't have hot water when we arrived, and the shower would not turn on the next morning. To top things off, a boy sneezed all over the tongs for bacon/sausage at the buffet and I had a tough time getting the people servicing the buffet to understand that I and everyone else needed the utensils changed out. I hope my experience is an isolated one.
Two weeks ago I received outstanding customer service, it was the best I have ever experienced in my travels and I travel a lot. The staff bent over backwards to please you the rooms and bed where very comfortable you have to read my sorry. Let me tell you my story, I drove from Texas it took me longer than I had expected to get there. I call ahead to let them know I would be a day late. When I got there, there was a mix up and the gave my room away, but Ngia the front desk Person talked to the manager Arvel Hall and they put me up in the Westin in an upgrade room free of charges parking included. Ngia told me when I come back the next day he would take good care of me. When I came back to check in the next day I talked with another outstanding front desk person named Mousaab who had all the information that Ngia had communicated to him so that I wouldn't have to go through the whole story again (to have that kind of responsible staff where they actually communicate to each other now that in its self was outstanding). Mousaab gave me an upgraded room and free parking as well as two free breakfast buffet tickets to their Restaurant. THAT'S NOT ALL IT GETS BETTER, I had a trailer attached to my truck and knew that I would probably have parking issues. That's where the next outstanding service person came in to help.
Very loud people right outside our door, there were like 50 of them, didn't let us sleep, I called the help desk 3 times they said they will send the security, they did not. plus it did NOT have a refrigerator, and very tiny room, and even though we were 4 people, they had coffee for only 2 people I called them for coffee 3 times, they brought only cups after 3 hours. not a real Sheraton experience.
