If staying local is your thing… Lokal Hotel is the absolute dreamiest place for you to unwind. The Old City location is on the cutest block lined with boutiques, coffee shops, and galleries. Right around the corner is the Betsey Ross House, and right through an alleyway alongside Lokal’s building is Elfreth’s Alley. The location is walking distance to the entire historic district and is super easy to navigate as Philly has signage on almost every corner sharing historic facts! The apartment was gorgeous, super bright, CLEAN, and cozy. Really felt like you were at home! The appliances were very modern and there were directions located on an iPad to share how to use them. There was even a washer and drier! The bathroom was full of all your necessities — body wash, shampoo, conditioner, loads of towels, including “makeup” washcloths (which I found so convenient) as well as a hair drier. Truly felt like I wanted to live there. Imagine waking up everyday with sunlight beaming through your windows? You glaze over and see the Ben Franklin Bridge peaking through the brick buildings? Just lovely. Had such a great stay :’)

Absolutely this place is awesome. Such a unique and beautiful hotel mixing old with the new. I really love the place and the location. It has beautiful room, quiet, stunning building and decor. You can have everything what you need such as the washer/dryer and kitchen. This hotel has a hip/trendy vibe which is fun, great food nearby and close to a lot of great sight-seeing in the Old city. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. I'd love to stay here again.

Adorable hotel! Everything about this place is amazing! It's modern, clean, has a great location and has everything you could ever want in a place to stay: washer/dryer, kitchen, living room, dining space, cozy beds, etc. You name it, it has it!

We stayed at Lokal Fishtown and honestly the best hotel we have been to so far! Every detail was well thought out and it honestly felt like our second home. There are a lot of places, cafes, and restaurants to see around the area so you will never be hungry in case you don't fancy cooking. We can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful old building in the heart of historical Philadelphia old City. The flat is stylish and well furnished with lots of amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved it here. I felt like I was living in an apartment. Great neighborhood, beautiful apartment space. There is NO hotel staff and no elevator but everything else is amazingly appointed.

Over the years I’ve had my fair share of hotel and Airbnb stays, but none were quite like my recent stay at the Lokal Hotel Philadelphia. Located in the quaint Old City neighborhood, this unique design-centric boutique hotel is creatively deigned and decorated, making you feel right at home while traveling. Everything was wonderful — the service, the decor, the location, it could not have been better! I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the Philadelphia area.

Just enjoyed a two night stay at Hotel Lokal with my husband and three daughters. I can’t say enough about how fabulous our “Tina” suite was. We especially loved the fully equipped kitchen, claw foot tub and Apple TV after long days of sightseeing. The customer service was impeccable… just a text away from getting my questions answered. The owner let us store our luggage in the suite before the official check in time which helped us get an early start to exploring Philly. They’re parking recommendation was easy and affordable… even gave us access to our car on the last day so we could load our luggage and then go about our day without moving the car. If you’re looking for a fun, hip place to stay in a great neighborhood, look no further!

I was very impressed with Lokal Hotel. The amenities are wonderful and interesting, such as the European style kitchen and bathroom. Our room, called Tina, was inviting and warm. The colors of the room made us feel at ease, as if you are in your own apartment — there is nothing “hotel” about the Lokal. The only downside is the steep steps to get to your room. This did not bother us, but it would be prohibitive for people who cannot climb 20-30 steps.

I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay while visiting Philly. It's positioned right in Old City, which is so charming and inviting — lined with locally-owned boutiques, cafés and restos that make your first day easy to enjoy. The rooms (we stayed in Ben) are thoughtfully-designed, full of natural light, and make you feel right at home. Every thing you may need is there for you — from delicious local tea and coffee, to luxurious shower amenities. The robes are plush. The sheets are deliciously soft. I guarantee you'll feel taken care of in every sense. I only wish I could live there!

Our first visit to Philly and Lokal was the perfect choice! Great location and such a well appointed space. We even cooked one night because the kitchen was so well stocked and fun.

Hotel Lokal was the best find. Ideally located to explore the sights and enjoy the city. The room was something special: spacious, luxurious, well thought out and quirky. The best place we stayed in during our 4 week trip to the USA.

Lokal kindly opened its doors for us to do a photoshoot before they officially opened to the public. As a style blogger I'm greatly appreciative of their hospitality. I even got to attend their launch party earlier this April. Seeing the hotel finished was remarkable. The owners' vision along with the design savvy of Jersey Ice Cream Co. Created a charming hotel space. The rooms feel warm and cozy. Explore and find all the little hidden gems. For anyone who wants to get a taste of Philly living, Lokal Hotel combines the freedom and comfort of living in Philadelphia with the adventure of visiting. I think it's worth experiencing. 5 stars, no doubt.

Lokal Hotel is a wonderful addition to the Philadelphia hotel scene. A mix between airbnb & a hotel, the rooms are spacious, beautiful decorated, comfortable and the perfect home away from home. Each room is more like an apartment, with kitchen, washer/dryer, large bathroom, sitting area & bedroom. I would recommend any of the 6 rooms to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the city.
