Terrible. Under renovation. Should be closed until renovations are completed. Bad service and shotty customer service. Bed bugs and crawling bugs in the bathroom. Complained about the tub being filthy from previous guest at 6:00 am and returned at 5:30 pm and it had not been cleaned. Had to change rooms two times. Place and experience was a train wreck.

This hotel would be sufficient if staying in train station bathrooms is your thing. The rooms were like catacombs, dank and dark. Do not be misled by the pictures they have posted. It's a dismal property and is fit for C-4.

I feel like I was part of this hotel's origin story! It is now called "The Avenue" and is experiencing growing pains as renovations are being completed. Counter intuitively, now is probably the best time to book as they've lowered their prices until it's completed. Directly across from Turtlebrooke Zoo and adjacent to a park preserve, the surrounding area is beautiful. They have recently replaced staff, so there is a learning curve with some of the services but everyone is eager to help. The manager is down to earth and will work out any issues that might come up. I enjoyed my stay "as is" and imagine it will just get better as operations smooth out.

I unfortunately would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived around 5:30pm on Friday April 27th checked into our room put our cloths in there. My mom used the bathroom and told me the sink was clogged. Water would not go down at all. We had to leave, so on the way out we stopped and told the person at the front desk about the sink. He told us it was too late to have someone look at it today and that he would have someone take care of it tomorrow. The next mornong we left the hotel around 9 am and returned about 11 or 11:30 pm. The room was never cleaned bathroom garbage bag still tied full in the can like I left it. Went to the front desk and told them about the sink once again and the garbage not taken out etc. The woman told us their system was down and they could not get into the room. She could move us to another room if we wanted. We did not want to move to another room at close to midnight by now. I just asked for a fresh garbage bag for the trash can and we went to bed. The next morning we went to leave. I stopped at the desk to get my reciept and the woman told me the computer system was down and couldnt give me a reciept. I would be e mailed a reciept in a day or so. A week later I still have not received an e mailed reciept yet. I called and was told the system was down until Friday afternoon. It is now Sunday I should of had a reciept by now she told me to call in the morning and speak to the manager. I asked for his name sje told me it was John.

Absolutely horrific. Water pressure is horrible along with poor lighting in bathroom and toilet barely works. Their breakfast is reused from days and/or from before. Managers are jerks and they steal over hundreds of dollars out of your card draining everything out of it. They say that you did damage when really their workers just do crappy work. Workers are really nice. Housekeepers are nice. Not having anything against anyone but don't trust anyone who works or even relates in that hotel business. The manager is firing a lot of the workers so the workers may be two faced and report what you confided in them about your problems that you know is not right and go back to them. They are doing anything to not lose their job. But very nice people though. Night people are the set big props to them. Appearance of hotel is very poor. They are never renovation right now and they wake everyone up at the crack of dawn with air compressors, nail guns, and annoying drilling in the wall. Don't come here at all!

We enjoyed our stay. The only complaint is that they didn't have much breakfast food to choose from.

The breakfast served was free but VERY bad. They were doing a remodel while we stayed and we had to listen to hammers, nail guns and air compressors when we were trying to rest. It is a decent location though, priced well through Orbitz and the staff was friendly. Dont go with heavy luggage for the 2nd floor, there is no elevator.

It is definitely a good place to rest, and very efficient customer service, very clean rooms!

Room was very basic, door mouldings were rotting away, random wire visibly ran throughout room, TV remote didn't work to change channels. The bathroom had a very bad moisture problem, drywall on the ceiling was warped and had mold, walls had mold and places where the drywall had attempted to be repaired left the drywall tape very visible, the tub itself appeared to have it's paint chipping away, and the tub faucet continuously leaked a stream of water. This is a one star hotel at a two to three star hotel's price. It is also not a Best Western according to other reviewers and the Best Western name was not visible on the hotel's sign.

Sketchy and dirty as hell. Only stayed here because it was our only option. Book ahead somewhere else.

The inn is located just across the street from the Turtle Back Zoo and has relatively easy access to a couple major highways. The rooms seem to have been recently remodeled and have a fresh look. The overnight staff was very courteous.

Decrepit and musty, a dilapidated cheap motel. I wouldn't pay $40 to stay here.

Pretty mediocre stay. Beds were comfy. Toilet continued to run unless you jiggled the handle. They have free Wi-Fi but block you from streaming Netflix or HBO. Hallway smells like urine, and room had an equally odd smell. Breakfast was ok, not as good as other breakfasts at other hotels — basically waffles, eggs, sausage, toast, 2 cereals. Staff was friendly though. And location-wise it was right across from the zoo! And within walking distance of some good food places. Overall I would consider coming back again if I had to, but likely would pick somewhere else.

Hallways and room smelled, curtain in the bathroom was broken and hanging on to the wall barely. The staff was great and let us check in early, they were informative about local food joints and seemed like they cared. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable for the most part. Right across from a zoo which is why we chose it for the most part. Would stay there again.

Smells musty, bathroom tub was chipping paint, where someone tried to paint the tub instead of replacing it. If it wasn't so expensive, the breakfast would've earned it 2 ☆s.

Do not stay here. If I could rate this place a zero I would. Stayed here while in the process of moving my brother into his apartment. His university had this place on their recommended lodgings list. When we first walked in, there was a clear smell of musk hanging in the air. The guy at the front desk was not very pleasant and made it seem as though it was an inconvenience to find us a room. When we finally got to our room, it looked like it had never been cleaned. The smell of musk was even stronger on the second floor. The sham on the bed was filthy, covered in who knows what. Paint was peeling off the ceilings, dust was piling up on the curtains, there was mold in and around the shower, the phone also did not work. To make matters even worse, they double charged our credit card, both transactions were more than the guy stated. Seriously, take an extra 20 minutes and drive to a nicer hotel.
