Before all the drama, my daughter and I were locked out in the dark at the side door. Even when Tyler changed our keys did not work. We ended up using back door. Handicap parking eas easier. The hall from back door is being used for storage. Makes it hard to maneuver. Wondered about fire regulations.
Room was small. I had to share bed with my daughter. I have Crohn's Disease. I had an overnight accident. Tried to clean sheets and put towl down. At 5:30 am I called to be… added to Housekeeping. Lani said sure and she was adding me. I placed all towels on floor together for housekeepers.
When I arrived home at 4:40. Nothing had been done. Call to front desk (Michael), Housekeeping was gone and the rooms are only serviced once a week. My stay was for 3 days.
I went down with all our dirty towels. Btw video will show it was all towels even from kitchen.
Michael told me I could talk to manager Stepanie on phone. He called her from back office. I could hear him mumbling. I could also see housekeeper.
How was I suppose to talk to Stephanie if I was at desk and she was on phone at back office?
So when Michael return to front desk, I shoved the towels. The little bell on front desk, flew off as well.
I then recieved a call from operations manager, telling me to vacate property because I thre bell. I never touched the bell.
When I told her fine I would turn my car around and not to worry, she said I was threatening her. What?

Not the 1st time we stayed there. We're not talking a 5-star Hotel, but a nice decent place to stay with kids & pets without getting killed with a huge bill. BTW, no breakfast, but what you save on the bill, go out for breakfast! Rooms always clean and the staff is friendly and really does try to help. I called up for a room with less than 24-hrs notice and for one person, the cost was just over $100.

No problems with TV they always worked For the rooms being small because of the price they are well-designed to utilize the space Nice towels, not cheap and thin Nice exercise room — multiple treadmills not just one like some places. the only downside was there was one air conditioner in the living room area but not the bedrooms the bedroom was just a little bit too warm.

Lovely suite, well equipped kitchen and nice lending area. Non-smoking room had a conspicuous odor however.

Very nice fitness center but more amenities would be nice. No pool, no breakfast. But room was clean and comfortable for my family of 4.

My family spent almost a month living at this hotel while we waited for our new house to be ready. The property is a mass of contradictions. The front desk staff are all pleasant and efficient. The rooms are generally clean and in good repair, and while the grounds could use some work, they're not bad. Why the single star? The general manager is, by far, the most arrogant, unprofessional hospitality employee I have ever met. From the first day when we saw her outside smoking, she made it clear that she did not like her guests. She had loud personal conversations on her cell phone and once ended the call by saying "I have go. These people aren't going away"… meaning us. Finally, she accused us of smoking marijuana in the room and ordered us off the property. She also charged us $250 for a cleaning fee. We don't smoke marijuana and certainly wouldn't do anything like that in a hotel room. There was an odor of marijuana in the hallway, but it wasn't us, and when we offered to allow her to search the room or call the police she allowed us to stay, but refused to remove the charge. I would never stay in a Candlewood Suites again because any organization that would hire this woman and allow her to run a property like a prison matron can't be trusted to provide honest, capable employees anywhere. Beware.

Our discounted rooms were cancelled to get more business with higher priced rooms.! We came to know at 5 pm when we went to get our room keys.! Very poor and rude response from General Manager.! Avoid this place, there are plenty of nice accommodations available in somerset n near by area.! This franchise is only interested in money making business, not customer service or customer relation.!

Not very friendly, not very hostile. Just stay here, do your business and get out. A little expensive for what it offers.

Not bad, clean enough and the staff is friendly. No good if you need a meeting room though.

Priceline pricing finally dropped onto my desired range again. Clean, comfy bed, stocked cupboards with utensils, plates, bowls, cups. Quiet place. Only time I could hear other guest was when they were in the hallway and thankfully they were considerate folks too. Friendly, attentive, staff. Have stayed here several times in the last year.

Good place for a longer stay. Decent location.

Besides some old forniture, It is a great hotel for long stays.

Staff are well trained, very polite and fast to help out in any matter, the room has a good space, one issue in my opinion is to offer kitchen in a space without separation with the bed, you have to pay more for this "privilege", apart from that they need to renovate the dish washer, the one in my room is losing pieces and do a lot of noise, there are a good amount of coin laundry machines and they are free to guests, the location is outstanding, close to major roads.

I stayed/ lived at the Candlewood Suites in Somerset NJ for over 2 years! I usually move around to different hotels because of my job or due to poor hospitality. The people and the staff I met at the hotel in Somerset (Stephanie, Cecy, Heather, Joe, Lani, Kyle, Paco, Theresa, Fransica, Odillia, Maria, Aris & Andrew) all made me feel right at home. I literally didn't want to leave! I thank you all for harm services and kindness. I will highly recommend staying at this hotel to all of my friends and family!

Nice place to stay, good clean rooms at a great price.

Nice hotel for the most part. Fairly new I think. Other holiday inn near here isn't nearly as nice. I would stay again. Comfortable bed, good shower, but the ac is an efficiency model which is annoying to me. Parking lot is a little odd as well.

Clean and Cozy… The Room a little small but it is acceptable… You Need a little patience if you head to the front… Since The receptionist apparently is also in charge of the washing center.

Reasonably priced place to stay. Not as nice as some of the other local hotels. Good for a short stay.

The hotel itself was fairly nice. My room was clean and in in good shape. The elevator on the other hand, was very loud and shook my room every time it came to my floor. The elevator also did not display an inspection certificate which I believe is required. It seemed kid of sketchy. After my first ride up, I took the stairs for the remainder of my stay.

We were really quite pleased with our stay here. We were met with warm greetings and the room was great… very home away from home-ish. We'll definitely make this our first choice when visiting this area again.

DO NOT GET A ROOM ON THE 3rd FLOOR IN THE HOT MONTHS! I was put on the 3rd floor when the weather outside was 90+ degrees this week. The problem is, the thermostats in the rooms have timers on them, and they know when you are in or out of the room. So, if you leave for a short while, the room heats up to absolutely terrible temps. Then, when you come back, the thermostat / air conditioning are not very strong. After the full night of the thermostat at 55 degrees, it still wasn't cool in the room in the morning. I stay at hotels weekly and either I give a 5 star or a 1 star. (Anything in between is average and nothing to write about. ) But, if you get 1 star, you can bet your butt that I won't be patronizing your business ever again!

The one bedroom suite with kitchen and living area is laid out in a way that you never feel cramped with lots of storage areas and large dining/work table. The staff is very friendly and the free laundry room with 6 washers and 6 dryers made doing laundry for my husband and his work partner easily. The canteen is stocked with an array of drinks and snacks as well as toilitries and first aid preventing the need for any late night trips in the car. Already stocked with glass/dish/silverware and higher-end pots and pans along with dishwasher, 2 burner stove top, full refrigerator and overhead microwave as well as ample pantry space made preparing meals and cleanup simple in the open kitchen. The outdoor grill area makes up for the lack of an oven and provides social opportunities as well. This place feels like home away from home.

Beautiful suites fully equipped with dishes, silverware, full size fridge and two eye stove. They have a rental booth for games and other less required amenities such as a waffle maker (lol). Rooms are clean and staff was very attentive. Should I find myself in the area again, this is where I'll stay.

Good value! Nice staff. Ideal for family traveling on a budget. Some rooms are better than others and it would beneficial to be enrolled in the IHG loyalty program to improve your chances for better rooms.

Cheap and best hotel. It will be great if they serve breakfast.

Pet friendly. Way better than the extended stay across the street. Even provide utensils.

Fantastic staff, very nice room. Full kitchen looked brand new and was fully equipped. Well worth the price. Will definitely stay there again.

Great location off highway. Large rooms with lots of storage space. Front desk and maid staff are all very friendly. Free laundry was a huge plus!

Kitchen has warms, Keys are not working, bad Oder everywhere.

This is a nice hotel. From the front desk staff to the housekeepers, guests are made to feel welcome. Clean rooms, quiet location, and easy in and out. I was very comfortable here with my 2 dogs.

Walls are like paper! Wifi slow. No amenities what so ever. Staff is so so. Better for the money out there.

Nice rooms for the price. I like to cook on the road, and the countertop range, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave provide everything needed for the non-gourmet chef. Full sized fridge as well! It feels like coming "home" (almost) at the end of a long workday. Full-sized grocery is a ways away, but a few convenience stores are close by, and there's a (rather pricey) convenience store right in the facility… perfect for the FIRST night in the hotel, followed by a REAL shopping trip. I go to Candlewoods whenever possible.
