This was our second time staying at Ocean Plaza, and the experience was just as perfect as the first time. The rooms are lovely and nicely done. The historic feel of the hotel is charming and real. The location, with the view from the balcony of the ocean, is excellent. But the staff is the best part of the whole experience. They treat you like family. The breakfasts on the balcony are excellent. And whatever you need, the team makes it so. We could not have asked for a better overall experience. We plan to return in a few months and bring our whole extended family so they can see why we rave about this place.

Always a pleasure staff is great and always accommodating very helpful and knowledgeable about things to do in the area never want to leave when our time is up.

Overpriced and Deeply Disappointing Stayed at the Ocean View Inn, in Ocean Grove, NJ, a charming historic town and beach. This was one of the best-rated hotels or B & B’s. On the positive side, the suite was spacious, and on a wide boulevard close to the beach.
BUT — I have stayed at a lot of B & B’s and hotels all over the world, and this was the most expensive I stayed in. I expect more cost on The Shore in the summer. That said, this place needs to either up their game a LOT, or lower the price about 30%.
The sofas and garbage cans need an update. There’s no nightstand by the bed. The selling point of a terrace that faces the ocean — even though this building was updated around 2003, the terrace was never fixed, and was unusable. The 1st floor porch will be a danger at some point. The place lacked any mirrors other than over the sink. The housecleaning, over a 3-night, 4-day stay, came only once, and then only emptied the bathroom garbage and changed the towels. The breakfast was terrible! Bad coffee, paper plates, plastic utensils, and the only eggs were a “Mexican” omelette of eggs with onion, tomato and hot dogs! I don’t know any Mexicans who cook that way. There isn’t even a letterhead pad and pen anywhere! WTF?! Oh, and water — you get ONE bottle in your fridge. After that, you can buy it, or refill it next door from a water machine.

This Hotel staff were tremendous. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help in any way they could. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Private bathroom is up to date and spacious as well. The ocean is only about a block away. The view from the deck is great as well as from the upstairs patio. Breakfast was plentiful as well as delicious. Will definitely be back and recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great place to stay. Thank you Ocean Plaza for a great stay. Mike & Antoine' Conroy.

This place was terrific. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. We came to view the Sunrise Solar Eclipse… but we will return because of how well we were treated.
The room was comfortable and clean and even smelled nice. The breakfasts were very good (pancakes, egg bake, French toast bake, fresh fruit and much more.
The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
The area is quiet and the ocean is just a block away… we will definitely be back!

I absolutely love staying at the Ocean Plaza! It is beautiful! The decor makes it feel beautiful and comfortable and It is also very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was limited, due to the virus, compared to the delicious hot breakfast choices offered during the summer when I stayed at the Ocean Plaza in August with my family. Ocean Plaza is my first choice when staying in Ocean Grove!

I've been going here for a few years now. It is SO beautiful, less than a block from the ocean, huge porches, beautiful and quiet rooms, a fabulous breakfast and everybody who works there is very sweet and thoughtful. Best inn I know of at the Jersey shore!

We had a great time — everything was clean and just as described — friendly & helpful staff, nice thick towels, real beach towels (not small! ), close to beach and easy to get to. Short walk to anything you need. We will be back.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful interior spaces which are kept very maintained. Wonderful continental breakfast served on second floor wrap around porch (enclosed during winter) with a nice view of Auditorium and beach. Already thinking about booking again for next wedding anniversary.

The sitting area on the main floor was not welcoming. Do you really need that much area for check in? What's with the huge stuffed bears and the small sitting area behind the parlor chairs? The breakfast area was beyond hot and humid almost unbearable to sit and enjoy the space, many guests went back to their rooms. Consider adding ceiling fans and curtains to block out the sun, more effort could be made into this area, what happens in the rain or cold days? This could change our mind in coming back or recommending this B&B to a friend. All in all the use of space at this B&B should be re-evaluated. The love seat in our room took up to much space, a sitting chair would be better; and the blinds in our room were broken and did not block out the sun, making wake up earlier than we would have preferred.

I’ve stayed here a couple times now and I love it! The house is quaint, clean, and accommodating. My daughter’s favorite part-the shower. There is nothing like coming from the beach to a perfect shower. Don’t bring your beach towels because the ones they let there guests use are lovely! The staff is very very friendly. They are very approachable for questions. Breakfast on their lanai is wonderful! Nights on their porch are soothing! This has easily become our favorite in-state family vacay spot!

Have been coming here every Summer for the past 20 years. Love the friendly, helpful staff, the breakfasts just keep getting better each year, the closeness to everything we want.

We needed a place to stay in Ocean Grove for our grandson's 21st birthday celebration in Asbury Park. We'd seen Ocean Plaza a number of times when we walked around town. The beautiful exterior is just the beginning. Classically decorated room with a bed so comfortable and all the conveniences of home. A beautiful sitting room on the first floor was the perfect spot to relax at the end of the day. In walking distance of the restaurants in Asbury Park and Ocean Grove. 1 block from the beach and boardwalk. It's just the best place to stay in Ocean Grove.

Third time at this Inn and it's still excellent. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable, the staff is more like family than staff members, the breakfast each morning is always delicious. I have to give them 5 stars it's well deserved. See them soon, this is my place to stay in Ocean Grove.

The best place to stay in Ocean Grove, hands down. It’s the cleanest and the staff (Vicki, Barry, Rick and Sara) are so extremely helpful and friendly. Sara thank you for making the best French toast. This is my home away from home. Love you all!

Great place for a getaway, nice clean rooms, friendly service, great location.

We've been staying here for the past few years. My husband and I love the proximity to town, the beach, and AP. I have even taken my elderly mom a couple of times and she loves walking around admiring the Victorian architecture. The rooms and beds at the Ocean Plaza are very comfortable. We love the breakfast buffet, and chatting up other guests in the morning and relaxing in the "living room" or on the spacious porch in the afternoon with a good book. Can't wait for our next visit!

This is a good B&B. Here are few things that I liked about this place. Its cleanliness, breakfast, ambience, amenities and location. I would definitely recommend this place for some one for as a get away. The beach is just few steps away.

We have utilized this beautiful bed and breakfast every fall for the past four years. The suites are amazing and the rooms are spacious. Vicki and Barry are extremely accommodating and helpful. Looking forward to next year.

Beautiful town! Great hotel! Ocean Plaza is in a great location. You can see the ocean from the porches, though it's a block from the beach. Great views of beautiful victorian houses. Room was nicely decorated and beds comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special; pretty much what to get at any mid price hotel — instant oatmeal, frozen waffles, yogurts, cold cereal. Eating breakfast on the second floor porch is a treat however. Staff was pleasant but didn't go too far out of their way for anything. Would go again!

The Ocean View and Ocean plaza are a great place to stay in the beautiful historic city of Ocean Grove. The properties are clean, the rooms are nice, the staff if friendly and it's situated in a beautiful part of town allowing for a quick walk to the beach but close to the center of the downtown area.

What a great place! Loved every second. Felt like home and Vicky was the best! Rooms were great. Breakfast breads were delicious and the view from the Bradley Suit is awesome. Just a few steps from the beach and shops. Can't wait to go back. Loved it!

My two teenage kids and I absolutely love the Ocean Plaza Hotel! Vicky and Barry, as part of the hotel staff, are absolutely lovely people, who both went above and beyond what most staff would do to make our stay one of the most magical and beautiful ones any family could possibly have!
