Possibly the bad reviews are from before this place was renovated, or people just have strangely out of reality expectations. For a cheap motel (cheapest in the area at times) it is a clean and easy place to stay. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was sparse yes but it’s a motel… My experience was better than I was expecting, I would return.

A basic possible place to lay your head when you want to be close to the shore. We stayed there during our visit to the Asbury Park parade of mermaids. Basic amenities. The continental breakfast was fresh although fairly standard. All in all you know what you are getting for this price range.

Viable damage (someone tried to break into the Bathroom), and old soap in the shower (no wrapper).

This place was not too good… the floor was dirty, the tiles broken, toilet seat was falling off the toilet, the bed sheets had little wholes as though over washed and when I needed to call the office there wasn't a cord attached to the phone! I had to use my cell phone… they do not have housekeeping so you will have to take your own towels to the lobby and get clean ones. I will not stay here ever again… better to pay a little more and stay at the Holiday Inn Express or the Sheraton!

This place was horrible! The younger gentleman during the day was nice. The older gentleman was very rude and unhelpful. When I returned to my room the second night there was a strange white powder on the desk, bed was not made, no clean towels. No housekeeping was done. When I asked the older gentleman in the office why had our room not been cleaned he said that they were cleaned today. This was a lie as seen in the photos. I would not stay here again ever not would I recommend anyone else.

It was wonderful experience when I was there Crew were very friendly and food was awesome I got my privacy as expect and I would definitely recommend this place to all my network.

Good location and wonderful room service. Plenty of space in the room and clean bathroom. Very close to the beach. Friendly staff at front counter. Affordable price! As long as you aren't looking for luxury it's a perfectly comfortable place to stay in. Would definitely stay again! :)

All I needed it for was to sleep for a couple hours… it was clean and the guy working at the front there was very nice. People were sketchy outside, but it's a super 8 so I think you know what you're getting yourself into.

Wasn't the best place, but my experience wasn't the worst either. Room was clean and moderately comfortable. Hotel was conveniently located. Perfect for overnight stay.

Subpar experience there was no hot water when I went shower when I first checked in complained for my own cell phone because the phone in the rooms wire was cut. Went about what I need to do for the day came back at 10 o’clock at night and there were still no hot water and I was told there was no place to put me because I was with coworker in the other side had no doubles. The front desk lady was very nice and tried to help but there was nothing she can do she told me to come back in the morning when the manager was in.

Awesome accommodation with fully comfortable rooms. Nice place for stay.

Exactly what you'd expect from a budget motel. Small room, no frills. Very nice staff though. Served it's purpose.

It dosnt look lile in they show in the pictures, dont have fridge or microwave, bad service, miss alot of stuff. Not good at all.

Maintenance is an issue. Had to fix the drain in my room cause it was leaking. Lamp shade was held on by Scotch tape. Water damage on the shower ceiling from a leak in the ceiling.

DISGUSTING! Carpet was filthy. Shower floors are black. Mold on shower curtain. Hair on bathroom floor. I stayed the first of 3 nights and left. Shady things going on at all hours of the night as well.

Unfortunately, this place is falling apart and needs a good cleaning. Mildew on the shower curtain, floor tiles coming up, sink faucet moves all over when turned on. Carpeting needs replacing, or at least cleaning. Smell of gas or sewage on exterior.

Carpet nasty. Bed had obviously been remade with same linens there more than one type and color of hair. Had to get fresh ones and remade it my self. Shower curtain moldy, broken loose floor tiles. No toilet paper or holder. Holes in walls. Stack of cheap plastic cups not indivdually sealed.

At check in the desk person told me the wrong room number, this would not have been a problem if my card key was given to me in a holder. After getting to the correct room I found that there was no soap or shampoo and no coffee to go with the coffee maker and the toilet seat was broken. The next morning I made it a point to stop at the desk and request that when house keeping did my room they made sure to have these items replaced. I returned that evening only to find out that house keeping never even cleaned the room! The front desk person had no explanation for this or apologies. I checked out.

Breakfast was minimal, like only cornflakes, bread and butter with jam. Coffee, milk, tea and juice were only beverages. There is no information brochure. Internet speed was good.

Hotel looked better on pictures, but there was new furniture and clean linen. Area is a little sketchy. Good for a quick stay.

Price good. Only 2 towel in the room one looked used. Stain (blood? ) On the end of the bed cover. No tissues in the tissue box in bathroom. Front desk person on the phone everytime I went in there.

If you need a bed and shower it's fine. There was a big hole in the bathroom door (looked like someone kicked it in) so I notified front desk said they are aware of it. It's fine if you just need a place to sleep, but it was so loud I think I woke up every hour. I wouldn't go here by myself as a woman, didn't feel super safe. Check out 11, and cleaning lady knocked at 10am. Frozen waffles 7-9am. Front desk gentleman was nice in the morning.

Super thin walls! You can literally hear conversations of people next to you. Especially at 3am. When we checked in, one of our other families was given a room that had been trashed by previous guests. Room smelled of smoke, smoke detector was ripped from ceiling, bathroom door was kicked in, carpet filthy, missing lamp shades. Front desk staff was accommodating with our request to change rooms. Bathroom in our room was in poor condition. Floor grout was horribly done, there was a dead bug in the corner of the bathrooom. Just a poor quality stay!

Decent price… for beds and a shower if that's all you need. Front desk staff was courteous. Lost points for me due to the lovely splatter on the bathroom wall next to the toilet, the uncleaned toilet and the filthy carpet that has what might be mold stains or something… gross! At least the air conditioning was legit.

Well where should I begin? We stayed one night here as it was the only place with vacancies on the 3rd of July, and we decided to take a last minute trip. We paid for our own room, but the rice paper walls made sure that we felt as if all of our neighbors were right there with us. The room was clean enough that we didnt feel uncomfortable sleeping there, but I was more comfortable walking down the boardwalk barefoot than on the carpet in that room. I think it may have been the source of the aroma that permeated the space — but at least it wasn't the pillows. After a long day on the sand I took a shower and was able to wash up quickly enough that the shower head didnt fall off of the wall, but it definitely gave me a scare. I was also able to dry off with one of the finest burlap towels. I would have preferred to have used three sleeves of 1 ply cheap Pizzeria napkins. After exfoliating with the towel I tried to hang it up, but there was only a hole where the towel rack once was. On the floor it went. The only redeeming quality was the staff. Everyone I came into contact with was nice, polite, and helpful with our touristy questions.

Clean room, gave extra tp when needed, free Wi-Fi, grear location near a lot of things placed to eat.

Nothing spectacular, but I for the price, staying here was worth it and I probably would again. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and the hotel itself conveniently close enough to downtown Asbury park. My only complaint was that we had loud neighbors above and next to us.

What a dump. The bathroom door was all busted and would not closed. When we brought it up to the front desk, they seemed to know right away, just didn't care. Carpet is nasty, hallway is stained where someone has dragged garbage. Also, very noisy and front desk didn't care about that either.

NO HOT WATER! My husband and I stayed here on October 3rd, 2015… room was very outdated, the carpet needs to be replaced, need to keep your shoes on! We took showers about 9:30 ish in the morning and there was NO HOT WATER! We let the water run for about 5 mins and the tub proceeded to fill up, drain is very slow… after 5 mins we let the tub drain and then took a cool shower! We told the front desk but it was like a yeah, so what kind of response. We asked the employee to have the manager call us and if not we would be sure to share our rating of the hotel, so here it is! Does the staff have a break room they can have their coffee club hangout in instead of the lobby? Would not recommend this hotel EVER. One star is being nice… scale of 1-10 it's a SUPER ZERO!

The receptionist when I checked in at 5 was great! the room was great! Wi-Fi great and they have regular cable not just certain channelsso that was great. But!. The area, the noise, the paper thin walls, the rude hotel guest & the uncaring over night receptionist was HORRIBLE!

Bathtub was not cleaned. Stains with hairs. Drained very slowly. I did not use it. The attendant said he would report it to the manager. Avoid this place.
