We had lunch at the Red Rooster Bar with Jonny Gee! Great service and tasty cocktails, the Local Burger is outstanding with Bacon Jam & Pimento Cheese. The Tacos are a great idea but the Pork belly needs some more love. Let it rest a little longer in a warm moist setting.

My wife and I choose this incredible resort after researching on the web. OMG! This place is absolutely unbelievable! As soon as we arrived the door man greeted us and welcomed us like we were royalty. As we checked in at the front desk they were extremely helpful with all of our questions we had. They explained things about the resort and all the extra perks they have. When we got to our Tavern Room…INCREDIBLE! The bed is SO comfortable and the view of the fall foliage…WOW! Had room service for breakfast twice and it was cooked to perfection… Stay no where else…this is the BEST place!

This was our 13th visit in seven years. The standards are not the same and we blamed it on COVID our last few visits. This time we can't blame it on the pandemic after what we experienced. The hotel is extremely short staffed. Someone in HR misfiled work visas. Because of the staff shortages the Richardson's Tavern has been closed since the fall. There are not many places to eat to begin with in Woodstock. Then the Red Rooster is only serving a breakfast buffet because of the staffing issues. You are paying $30 for cold French toast and overcooked scrambled eggs. Is it even appropriate to serve a buffet during a global pandemic? Forget housekeeping. Several guests complained that they asked for their rooms to be cleaned but were told no because they didn't have enough staff on hand. Maybe instead of being at 80% capacity, the hotel should reduce the number of guests since they are having staff issues? The furniture is falling apart in both the rooms and in the lobby. The four chairs in the lobby are falling apart. Attached are photos. We met a couple from Boston that checked in on Sunday and we're staying for two nights. They purposely came to go skiing and even signed up for Ski package. When the couple checked in, they were told that Suicide Six is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Customer service is lacking from new hires. One of the front desk supervisors was very rude to me and my partner. The employee even used a gay slur under his breath.

The Inn is cozy and decorated nicely! Beautiful large lobby fireplace you can sit by. Everyone was courteous and helpful. Room was large and comfortable and clean! The Red Rooster dining room was great! The food was delicious! We ate there both nights! Would definitely stay there again!

Every detail is curated to enjoy the perfect Vermont experience. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean.

We had dinner at The Red Rooster this weekend and Chef Jason prepared the most amazing tasting menu for us! It was 5 courses and I don’t think we could even choose a favorite because they were all so delicious! Each course flowed so nicely from one to the next and they were also paired perfectly with recommended wines. It was truly probably one of the best meals we have ever had! If I absolutely had to choose a favorite course, it would be the Ricotta Gnudi. It was out of this world good! He is such a talented chef and the Woodstock Inn is lucky to have him!

So quintessentially New England, such a beautiful historic Inn nestled in the middle of the quaint little town of Woodstock.
The rooms are charming and extremely comfortable: definitely a home away from home.

I enjoyed our stay at the Woodstock inn the room was very nice and comfortable and quiet. I did have a issue with the room bathroom door being warped and very noisy when you opened it. Another issue was the in room dining, which was very delayed in being delivered to our room. Overall the experience was good, but if they could work on these Issues, the experience would be improved.

Love the food here! The staff is very friendly and super accommodating, the band was great too.

Absolutely loved visiting the Woodstock Inn earlier this month. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, amazing food and the team was wonderfully accommodating and friendly. Between regular temperature checks (face-scan every time you enter the building), mandatory masks (the staff would actually monitor guests) and ample space — we felt safe while getting to enjoy the beautiful Fall color season. Especially loved the outdoor fire pit in the courtyard for relaxing after dinner. The town of Woodstock was within walking distance and was so charming (stores had limited hours, recommend calling ahead). Can't wait to come back to check out the ski season!

Every time we visit the Inn its always a great time. The Inn decorated and festive with the latest seasonal theme. Great food and great service.

We love the Inn, it’s our go to place for some rest and relaxation. Great restaurants, wonderful Spa and such a lovely spot. The gardens are beautiful, there’s always so much to do, highly recommended.

I have been a guest at this hotel at least once a year for the past 11 years. It is one of the most beautiful resorts in the nation, with thoughtful and friendly staff, amazing food, and world class all around service. I highly recommend this resort.

Richardson's Tavern Review** very disappointed in my dinner there recently. The service was slow, waitress was scattered, and would have been better suited at an outback steakhouse. the food, when it showed up, was good. Portions were ok — any smaller and they would have been apps. The bar took half an hour to get a can of cider to the table. (yes a can) a mixed drink runs $16 for prespective. … the window booth which we sat in was cramped, the padding in the cushions was lumpy and uncomfortable. it is too bad as this is regarded as a top of line resort and destination hotel in Vermont. decent food, slow, disinterested service and uncomfortable seating — not worth it for the experience we had.

A weekend at Woodstock Inn and Resort was one of the most beautiful weekends I’ve ever experienced. This lovely Inn and Retreat Center, and their incredibly hospitable staff, made our Lexington Power Yoga Retreat a cherished time to remember. The warmth of our beautifully decorated suite, the well-appointed hotel and gorgeous, always crackling fireplace was soooo lovely. I cannot wait to return with friends and family to enjoy Woodstock! Three days was not enough time.

An iconic place in VT. If you aren't from a rural area this is as close to 5 stars as you'll get. In reality, it would be 3 stars maybe 3.5 if actually compared to a big city 5 star Inn. Most of their accumen is based on amenities you're not paying for when staying here. You'd be better off staying in an AirBnB.

Search high and low, and you will find you can do no better! This place is hospitality and DESIGN perfection! Years upon years of inspiration to achieve perfection achieved! A lifetime Do Not Miss.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Had a wonderful relaxing stay and some superb meals at the Red Rooster restaurant there. The people make it special, everyone is helpful, friendly, receptive and patient. Can't wait to go back.

An American Beauty. If you ever get the opportunity to stay here, do! The quintessential inn, in an quintessential American town. Story book setting and location. Beautifully appointed lobby and entire inn. I could live there! We ate lunch at the restaurant each day. It was that good! Can't wait until we go back! Oh, and the 1981 movie Ghost Story with Fred Astaire was filmed here.

I recently stayed here and cannot say enough good things. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were fabulous and most of all, the entire staff could not have been more nice and accommodating at every turn. Can't wait to go back. Mary Anne.

Great, friendly staff. Inn set in great location in heart of Woodstock, close to golf, hiking, and shopping. Rooms are very nice. Food is great.

Just spent four glorious days in Vermont and had the pleasure of staying at the Woodstock Inn. They don’t call it “The Most Beautiful Address in Vermont” for nothing! The resort is just stunning. The rooms are so cozy and inviting. From the charming lobby to all the exquisitely decorated common areas, this hotel is the best. The staff are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The food in the Red Rooster was amazing as well as in the Tavern. You must try the fondue! Would highly recommend for a relaxing get away. Great place to re-charge.

Elegant rooms. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Wish they had a pool and hottub in the Inn. We've stayed there 4 times and haven't been able to make a trip to the offsite pool.

This place is like heaven! I loved my stay here. All of the waitstaff are so sweet and helpful. Had a great massage, pedicure was amazing. The town is so quaint to shop and walk around in … I would definitely recommend this Inn!

Out of the Ordinary Photography loves photographing weddings at Woodstock Inn & Resort. It is perfect for an intimate wedding in Vermont. I really like the backgrounds and everyone was very friendly. OOTO hopes to capture more here in the future!

Perfect! Great place for families and couples. Something to do for everyone and always top shelf. The staff is amazing, always friendly, accommodating and gracious. The room was fantastic with a beautiful. Bars were well stocked with your favorite libations served by Scott and Tim.

Dinner at the Tavern was nice. The Ribs were really good, sweet potato fries were big and really tasty. My wife like the Salmon, said it was cooked perfectly. Nice atmosphere in the room.

The Woodstock in is a wonderful family and event Hotel. The rooms are beautiful and professional. Guests are greeted to a very nice view. There is a game room for children.

We attended the Thanksgiving Buffet on Thanksgiving Day. Absolutely outstanding! Everything was perfect. Food, service decor, ambiance, the whole experience was wonderful.

The Inn was wonderful for the conference I attended in November. The rooms are so comfortable and the common areas are luxurious and cozy. I loved the game room! The staff was so professiona and friendly, and the food was eclectic and delicious. I loved the cheddar ale soup. Great for a getaway or event, and I hated to leave. I look forward to returning for a more leisurely visit.

Gorgeous and elegant resort with so much to do right outside the front door! I came here for my 30th birthday with my mom and aunt and we had a blast exploring the resort and the quaint downtown. The spa treatments are not to miss, the food is phenomenal, and the front desk even surprised me with a birthday gift — — such a nice touch! Can't wait to come back and enjoy beautiful Woodstock VT again soon.

We just had our wedding at the inn and there is no way any other facility can top them! Their wedding coordinator Meg is so sweet and handled EVERYTHING! They put so many special touches on everything. My entire stay was perfect. Thank you SO much to the entire staff at the Woodstock Inn and a big thanks to the everyone who helped with the wedding! can't wait to come back and visit!

My wife and I had a lovely time at The Woodstock Inn for our honeymoon! They booked us on a short notice, provided all sorts of freebies, and made our stay feel special. The facilities are excellent, especially the cozy rooms and pleasant Red Rooster restaurant. We had a great time getting a couple's massage at the Spa, which is richly furnished and full of ways to relax. The staff may have been what really sets the Inn apart. Thank you all!

We had a fantastic dinner here and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and they were so sweet even brought us complimentary champagne.

Great location in the New England area. Fall colors are beautiful in October. Rooms and services were very accommodating. The all around area is beautiful and breath taking.

Absolutely elegant and beautiful. Not only does Woodstock lend a feel of nostalgia, the building and surrounding homes are pristinely maintained. This truly offers a feeling of going back into time. The staff are professional and eager to offer any service. The room was clean and updated but not enough to take away from the flow of style throughout the hotel. The furniture and decor are consistent throughout the hotel and are simply elegant. The room offers water, chocolates and starched/ironed sheets. Simply impeccable! There really was nothing I couldn't offer to improve the hotel, except maybe the back yard grounds could have been more ornate with flower gardens. They had a game room which again was consistent to the style of the hotel. Overall wonderful experience and would suggest it to any traveler. We were fortunate enough to get the endless summer package that was a low $200 per night rate. Thank you Woodstock Inn.

This is our second visit to the Inn. Your accommodations are top notch and the staff are always polite and extremely helpful! The Inn is the perfect place for a beautiful getaway!

The resort is beautiful, my only complaint would be that the amenities are not well documented anywhere. There is a great game room on the 1st floor and you have access to the Woodstock Athletic Club while there.

Such a great location! Located in the middle of everything. Rooms are very clean and big. The resort offers a lot to do and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

I must say that a one night stay at the Woodstock Inn was just not enough-the experience was wonderful the room was perfect, the complimentary bottle of wine was delicious, the dinner at the Inn out on the terrace was perfect-we are certainly planning on returning. The Woodstock Inn is a perfect place to relax & be pampered!

Very quaint mountain resort. Not necessarily the hippest place, but picturesque with a "ski lodge meets Rockefeller old money" vibe. The Inn has been updated recently with a modern restaurant and bar. Nice facilities for a low key corporate event as well. Beds are comfortable and rate a B+. Tons of pillows are a nice touch. Unfortunately the bathrooms are 1969 sized (small-ish) and get a B — rating. Also the water temp in the showers modulate too much when multiple guests use them concurrently.

Fabulous old style luxury resort. Wood paneled lobby with old world service and atmosphere. This is how the rich and famous do it. Expensive to stay, but sometimes they have off season mid-week discounts so the average couple can splurge. The rooms are mercifully ordinary but very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the eggs benedict.

We loved everything about our stay. Great rooms. Food and service were excellent. Location is unbeatable. It was my first stay and I will be back. I am picky about staying at resorts but this place delivered. Amazing little Catholic Church across the street. Walk to the working farm as well — a real treat.

The Woodstock Inn was delightful! Immaculate room. Great little nooks throughout the place. The game room is to die for. They even have a Chromecast! Bravo and will return.

I like to eat in the restaurants/bars at the Woodstock Inn because they are among the nicest in the area. The staff are very deferential and accommodating and the prices are not much more than many other very mediocre places around. I had the breakfast buffet this morning and it was really good. They have good wine by the glass or bottle, too. It's a special place. I always leave happy with a warm feeling.

Classic country relaxation on acres of majestic greens. If you're looking to get away from the big city this is a great option. The environment is not stuffy, but reserved and calming. Great staff and service at your disposal. Top that all off with excellent dining onsite. Highly recommended.

We had eaten here about ten years ago and it was absolutely wonderful! Fast forward to 12/15/12. Terrible. The atmosphere was quaint, the service was good, but the food has gone downhill BIG TIME! My husband got a buffalo chicken pizza. That equalled a frozen pizza, some Perdue shortcut chicken sprinkled with some hot sauce, and a sprinkle of some extra cheese for good measure. It was terrible. I got the "Train Wreck" sandwich, and the name for it was perfect. VERY stale, dry bread. Very dry meat, cheese was overbroiled so hard and not gooey as imagined, and it could have used some type of dressing on it like Thousand Island or something. The waitress was pleasant and efficient, but seemed like she was way overbooked on tables. Sad to say, but we will not ever return.
