Loved our stay here, I only wish we could have stayed longer. Heather was very welcoming, rooms were cozy, breakfast was great, and location was close enough to walk downtown if needed (and next to the market).

Conveniently located right in the downtown area, impeccable furnishings, spectacular full breakfast (with a delightful mango smoothie), and a most gracious owner, Heather. This is a gem, probably the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at!

Best breakfast ever and Heather is the perfect hostess! We’re very picky about our accommodations and this Inn was very close to exceeding all our expectations. It was VERY clean, beds were comfortable and the general ambiance relaxing though maybe a touch too much like visiting Grandma’s house in 1920. Minor stuff … the inn is on a busy road (Rte 4) and the trucks started rolling early. Heather provided a white noise machine and that helped a bit but we were awakened early nonetheless. Second, the inn’s decor is “dark” Victorian … almost spooky … and the dreary weather did not help. We were unable to read our morning newspaper by the dim breakfast room light. That said, we suspect a sunny morning and breakfast by the windows or at the patio tables would fix that very minor issue. Finally, female French-language vocal music was OK for awhile but a broader mix of mellow music styles would’ve appealed to us and we suspect others.

This location is the Perfect Bed and Breakfast to stay! The Inn gave us the traditional feel we were looking for, the decor was impeccable and had GREAT character! The facility was also immaculate — not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere. The breakfast was delicious; fresh, hot, locally sourced and different each morning. Best of all the owner was BEYOND hospitable and personable. We stayed here for 2 nights to go snowmobiling in Woodstock — Heather went out of her way to make us a sandwich to take during our long day out (and made sure it was packed to handle the terrain! ) She also made us the most amazing Charcuterie by the fire when we got back that night. She also sat down with us and explained everything that was on it and where she had gotten everything locally
We will be making this a regular favorite for us to stay at while in Woodstock, it is perfectly located on Main Street and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants!

My wife and I spent an amazing weekend at The Village Inn of Woodstock starring, Heather Adams, the new innkeeper. The Inn is a lovely old Victorian home but has been kept up well. Our room was luxurious and spacious with a romantic four poster king sized bed and working wood fireplace. The bathroom was modern and the room had its own heating system easily adjusted by a remote control thermostat. The Wi-Fi was strong and we had no problems with internet access. The Inn has not received its liquor license yet but there is an adorable small tavern like bar where we simply brought our own scotch and wine. Glasses and and ice were provided. Heather's elegant breakfasts every morning were beyond delightful and a wonderful start to our busy days. Lunch was usually on the run either to the Kedron Valley stables for a horse drawn sleigh ride, The Vermont Country store in Weston for a nostalgic trip back in time, or the Sugarbush farm for house made cheeses and real maple syrup. Dinner in Woodstock can be as sophisticated as you want it to be. The Prince and the Pauper is always fantastic, Richardson's Tavern at the Woodstock Inn and Resort, and The Daily Catch were all we had time for this trip but there are many more great eateries.
But now I need to tell you about the highlight of our trip, the showstopper as they say, the unexpected star of the weekend, and the main reason we will be returning to this particular Inn, Heather Adams herself.

Go and spend some time here! The owner Paul and the cook Lois are wonderful! they really care to treat you as family. Food,. Superb!
woodstock is a sweet town too.

We spent a wonderful Labor Day weekend at the Village Inn. The entire experience was enjoyable, from our second floor suite and its old world charm, to the friendly and informative help from our host, Paul. Sitting outside on the spacious front porch was a great way to enjoy the afternoon in beautiful Woodstock. We can't give enough praise to our chef, Luis, whose delicious breakfasts started out each day perfectly. Social distancing wasn't a problem during our stay, as safety was always a first priority. We'd definitely recommend this lovely inn to our friends and family.

Excellent caring service by Paul, Luis and Lana. I felt more like a guest at their personal residence than at a Bed and Breakfast. Also Luis serves an excellent breakfast. French Toast and Waffles were both to die for.

We stayed at the Inn on November 21, Paul was the best host. The Inn is decorated for Christmas. We had a delightful visit and the food was wonderful.

We spent a couple of days last week at the Inn. Paul and Lewis are the ultimate host’s always looking after whatever you need. The inn is beautifully decorated, very elegant and detailed in every area. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Paul was very helpful in telling us what we should do and see while we were in the area. Breakfast was always very delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade breads, fresh fruits, maple syrup… gosh it was amazing. Lewis is a first class chef amazing us with his creativity and talent.
One evening around 7pm we were gladly aroused by the bread baking going on in the kitchen. The smell of baking breads almost made me storm the kitchen. I highly recommend a stay at the Village Inn if you’re going to be in Woodstock or the surrounding towns.

What a beautiful inn. It is conveniently located to downtown Woodstock, and the innkeepers are lovely, helpful people.

Best B&B ever! Beautiful home, lovely downtown within walking distance. Breakfast is scrumptious and filling… no need for a lunch.
Unfortunately can’t make it this year but have been going yearly since 2008. We will be back!

We just had a great stay at the Village Inn of Woodstock. Everything was perfect. The room was comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and the owners and staff could not have been more caring. We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and were even given a beautiful gift and card. My husband also celebrate his birthday there the day before. We were treated so well. Our daughters communicated with the staff and all their wishes were satisfied! We would highly recommend this BandB and the people who make it so special!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Village Inn of Woodstock. Lovely home and lovely rooms! All of the amenities, needed for the overnight stays, were provided. Both of the new owners, (Luis and Paul) were very accommodating and quite pleasant. We enjoyed chatting with them, as well as other guests, during "happy hour" at the quaint little bar in the Inn. Recommendations for dinner were spot-on. We had a wonderful time exploring Woodstock and the surrounding areas and very much enjoyed our time spent in the Inn in the evening. Highly recommend this Inn to everyone!

We stayed in room when in Woodstock for a wedding recently, and we had a wonderful experience. The town is very cute and walkable from the inn. Breakfast was delicious. We had great service throughout our stay and the inn owners were very accommodating. They were able to make arrangements to allow us to check in early and when we had to check out a night early due to unforeseen circumstances, they offered a partial refund without us needing to request one. Overall a wonderful experience and would stay again in a heartbeat!

The room was so warm and welcoming, I felt so pampered. The breakfasts were simply out of this world. This Inn is within about five minutes of the downtown area so walking around the area was easy. They have a great patio area with a waterfall and fish. It’s a great place to unwind at the end of the day. I will definitely stay there again when I’m in the area.

Paul and Luis are great hosts. They both went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. Luis cooks your breakfast from scratch. Breads are home made, fruits are fresh. Luis is a great chef. My wife and I stayed two days with them and when we come back we will stay longer. The best place we have ever stayed.

Our stay at the Village Inn in Woodstock was warm and friendly and completely relaxing. Paul and Luis are the most amazing hosts I have ever met. They met us at the front door and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed during our entire stay. It was like they were a part of our family and we had known each other for a long time. The Inn was decorated so beautifully and had a wonderful patio with pretty landscape. The breakfast was so delicious and Liz was so attentive and friendly. I highly recommend the Village Inn to anyone planning a trip to Woodstock Vermont. It is within walking distance to downtown and all the shops and restaurants.

The room we had was bright, spacious and decorated beautifully in Victorian era style. Exquisite. Luis makes the most delicious 3 course breakfast which we looked forward to having each day. My husband took my on a surprise weekend for our anniversary and selected The Village Inn of Woodstock. To say it was absolutely beautiful is an understatement. Our accommodations were stunning and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious! The hosts, Evelyn and David were wonderful and welcoming! We wish them well in their new adventures. We had the opportunity to meet the new owner Paul, he was an extremely gracious person and know that he and Luis will do a wonderful job as new owners. I would highly recommend spending your time at the inn to enjoy the beautiful little village of Woodstock. Truly a great experience for us. We will be returning in the future and our stay will be at The Village Inn.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Village Inn of Woodstock for the Dartmouth Graduation weekend. Every detail is perfect at this historic inn. The location is away from the noise of the center of town yet it's very easy to walk to the restaurants and shops. The building is like stepping back in time to the Victorian era. The wall coverings and furniture are true to the time. The entire inn is absolutely spotless, I truly don't think I've ever seen such care to detail. The breakfasts are wonderfully served and prepared, the coffee was to die for! Evelyn and her entire staff are delightful. We look forward to returning soon.

Evelyn and David were amazing hosts! Very accommodating to our dietary restrictions, and helpful with advising us on where to go for specific activities we were interested in. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the jacuzzi tub was the perfect touch for our romantic getaway! After our incredible experience we plan on making this a yearly trip!

We loved staying here! Evelyn is a most gracious hostess, wonderful cook and great resource for the area. This Inn is located in a wonderful spot, walking distance to yummy restaurants and shops. From the time we arrived until the time we left we were made to feel welcome. Everything was done to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was a perfect start to our day and "happy hour" was a great way to wind down and chat with some of our fellow guests. Our hosts, David and Evelyn, were wonderful. We even got to meet Spanky and Alfalfa! Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Once again, this place delights. We've made it our annual anniversary getaway because it's just that sweet. Impeccably clean, welcoming and just enough attention when you want to relax, we totally love this inn. This year we extended our usual overnight with 2 nights and Evelyn surprised us with croissants from MONTREAL. As usual, breakfast was wonderful but this was her special touch. I mean, who does that? She also left a special gift in our room which was totally unexpected. We brought our gold pans and panned in Plymouth State Park, visited Plymouth Cheese and saw the owls at VINS. This area has lots to offer if you are into nature and it's not badly priced. Looking for a quiet sweet little getaway? Come here. They get it right.

I had room 1, with a marble fireplace, enormous bathroom with jet tub, and my own private entrance! Beautiful inn, walking distance to all of Woodstock, and great breakfast.

We visited The Village Inn for a couple nights last week and loved every minute of our stay. Evelyn was so warm and friendly and answered all of our questions about the area and made some terrific recommendations for dinner. The inn has a cozy, quaint feel. The breakfasts are out of this world! A tasty fruit cup and a great variety of delicious home made breads available with every breakfast. The employees were friendly and helpful, and we very much enjoyed meeting and dining with the other guests. We will most definitely be visiting again!

Spending Christmas in Woodstock, Vermont had been on my bucket list for a long time. I looked at each lodging option around town, and could not have picked better than the Village Inn. It is the most charming Victorian Inn, perfectly located and was wonderfully decorated for Christmas. I felt like I was in my own Hallmark movie. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Considering the age and architecture of the building I found the bathroom to be a good size and wonderfully luxe. David was a charming bartender. We enjoyed talking to the other guests at the little tavern each evening. Evelyn is the hostess with the mostest. She is caring, attentive, kind, always in a good mood, and her baking is out of this world! The breakfasts are amazing, everything is scratch made and locally sourced, which I love. Every evening around 3-4 o'clock, the amazing baking smells would waft upstairs and I couldn't wait but wonder what was being prepared for the next morning's breakfast. We have decided to pre-book for next year and we are bringing friends. Thank you David and Evelyn, for your hospitality and for making our Christmas such a memorable one.

We were so excited to be staying at the inn over the holidays and weren't disappointed. The decorations were lovely, festive and welcoming. This was our second stay with Evelyn and David and we'll definitely be returning. Evelyn was an attentive and caring innkeeper, a joyful spirit whom I felt as if we'd known forever. Our suite was well-appointed and comfortable, with luxurious linens and blankets on the bed and a cosy sitting room. The Inn is within walking distance of Woodstock's shopping district and close to a number of ski resorts. And did I mention how delicious breakfast is? Our favorite part of the day. :) Every person who works at the Inn made us feel welcomed.

We visited this place for our first wedding anniversary. This was a last minute decision and I must say it was the best one ever! This place is home away from home! Evelyn was so welcoming and helpful to show around, she had nicely decorated the house with Christmas trees, it felt so festive! The rooms are nice, cozy and clean. It was snowing the day we went so it was perfect for our visit. The best part was breakfast. They have fresh fruits from farm, fresh bread baked by Evelyn, fresh pastries to start with and also freshly squeezed orange juice. As I said earlier, this place gives a perfect homely feeling you need when you are traveling. I highly recommend this place for any of your special days or just a getaway to a place like Vermont.!

A word to the wise — don’t call back your potential customers to tell them they’re mean and rude! I was attempting to find a room during a terrible snow storm on a holiday weekend. I called the Village Inn to inquire about their availability and when the receptionist said they had none, I asked for recommendations for other places. She said she had none and I said thanks anyways and hung up. I can’t believe she had the audacity to call me back and berate me during a stressful situation and dangerous road conditions. I will NEVER consider the Village Inn in the future after her ridiculous behavior.

What an amazing experience. From the moment we parked and walked out to the terrace we felt relaxed and comfortable. This family owned and operated inn is the perfect place to truly unwind and get away. The breakfast was unbelievable from the homemade baked goods, the fresh, and I mean squeezed that morning, orange juice, to the most pillowy quiche I have ever tasted. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this fine establishment to anyone looking for a taste of elegance, comfort, and the perfect Vermont getaway!

We have had the pleasure of staying at The Village Inn on several occasions, and simply cannot say enough about the beauty of the property and the graciousness of the innkeepers. The inn itself is a charming Victorian home, beautifully and elegantly decorated. Service is wonderful, and the delicious breakfast is worth the price of admission in and of itself! Do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to a stay here — you will CERTAINLY become repeat guests like we have!

Spacious, comfortable, wonderfully decorated rooms, as is the entire inn. Terrific, warm, welcoming staff. Excellent atmosphere… they have their own little pub! Close to restaurants and shops. We would come back to the Inn and Woodstock in a heartbeat.

The most amazing place you will ever stay. My husband & I went here for our honeymoon on June 28th 2015. The couple that runs this is so sweet and kind. I would recommend this to anyone. The charm that this place has and its so relaxing. Best way to spend a getaway. It's so amazing that were coming back this July to celebrate a late 2nd year anniversary at this place.

Fantastic bed and breakfast! The staff is extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. The building is beautiful, with lots of great historic architectural details on the inside. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, and the breakfasts are outstanding! I wish I could eat like that every week, let alone daily. The location is great, as it's a couple-minute walk into the heart of town. The tavern is a nice place to get a late afternoon drink and socialize with other guests and the friendly bartender. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, or a romantic one!

My husband and I stayed last weekend at The Village Inn of Woodstock. We were greeted upon arrival by a friendly smiling person and offered a glass of wine. We arrived late in the day to the aroma of fresh baking bread which we were told was for the morning meal. The room was immaculate and the bed and pillows were a dream. In the morning we went down for breakfast a bit early and were offered coffee and tea while we waited a short time for a table. Now comes the best part. We were served more tea and coffee along with fresh orange juice followed by a hand cut fresh fruit cup. Then the staff brought out some of Evelyn's homemade banana cake with cinnamon whip cream. It was delicious! The specialty of the day was waffles that were yeast risen overnight so they were plump, fluffy goodness served with Vermont Maple Syrup of course. We split the waffle and wonderful scrambled eggs and had to have some of the English Toasting Bread that we were smelling the night before. The grounds and sitting garden were well kept and inviting. It was great being within walking distance of the many artisan stores and restaurants. We will definitely go back again and recommend this Inn very highly.

Just returned from a wonderful getaway at the Village Inn. The room, breakfast, atmosphere and hospitality were all excellent and beyond expectations! Evelyn and Dave helped us make the most of our time, and pointed us towards several unforgettable experiences. I would stay here again, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The Village Inn of Woodstock is a first class B&B. Room is fantastic. Private entrance. Super-comfy bed. Amazing accommodations. The real star of our stay were the breakfasts. I have never had breakfast that amazing. Wonderful fruit. Delectable pastries. And a breakfast entree prepared perfectly. Evelyn was more than willing to share the recipe for her cranberry and almond bars. They were incredible. The location is excellent as well. Woodstock is a beautiful town with wonderful shopping, great dining, and amazing scenery. The Inn is a short walk from all the shops and restaurants. I can not say enough good things about the Inn. It was a great weekend. We plan on making it an annual trip.

My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe, often staying at the finest "bed and breakfast" facilities available in the area. I can tell you, without reservation, Dave and Evelyn have an absolutely world class B&B / small inn here in Woodstock, VT. Everything starts with their friendliness and wonderful attitude, and things only get better when you check in! Furnishings are beautiful antiques, luxury and extremely comfortable beds and linens, GORGEOUS decor. All of this is topped off with some of the best breakfasts you will ever have at a B&B. The hosts take GREAT pride in everything they do, and it really results in a superlative, world class travel experience. In my opinion, you should not miss the beautiful town of Woodstock, VT, and if you come you should absolutely stay at the Village Inn.

I wish I could live like this every day! The Inn is beautiful and the breakfast is exceptional. The reason to go is the service. David and Evelyn have created a first class experience that is second to none! My girlfriend and I go out of our way just stay here. Its always worth it! If you can, stay in rooms 1, 3 or 5, however all the rooms are fantastic and you should have a cocktail in the Tavern. Actually have two. Its well stocked and David is pretty good at offering a drink you may have never had. Oh and the wine list is great! I can't force you to go but if I had that power I would use it. You will love it there.

Blending the best aspects of a boutique hotel (chicness, dreamy beds, unique design) with the warmth and friendliness of a B&B, the Village Inn of Woodstock is the only place I'd stay in Woodstock, Vermont. Owners David and Evelyn are incredibly nice and enthusiastic, and the breakfast are to die for. We were most impressed with their commitment to fresh food and local farm fare. This "locavore" love shines through not only in their food, but in the way they talk about the bounty of Vermont and the Woodstock area. The room style is plush and luxurious and the silky sheets and pillow-tops make for sweet dreams. We will return.
