We stayed on the Foodie Package for the weekend and had a fantastic time. Swift House is an amazing place to stay, Jessica's serves fantastic food, and Middlebury is a beautiful little town. We could not have had a better time!

Husband and I went to have a romantic, relaxing stay and we were not disappointed! Excellent service by the owner and other staff. They were so accommodating! The room was beyond perfect, so spacious! The bed was the most comfortable bed I have stayed in away from home! Loved the jacuzzi tub and steam shower, really relaxing and peaceful! We are already planning to come back, and I rarely stay in the same place twice!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Swift House Inn! I just had to cancel a reservation for next week to visit our son at Midd, because all the students are being sent home due to the virus. Even though we were w/in the no cancellation window, they fully refunded my deposit given the circumstances. This is a lovely old Inn with wonderful food, terrific staff, walkable to the center of town, so charming! Please consider it for your next visit to Vermont, you will not be sorry!

We enjoyed a very pleasant, relaxing stay at the Swift House Inn. The staff at the reception desk were welcoming and friendly. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Our host, Michelle, was friendly and took time to get to know us during our scrumptious breakfasts. The location of the Swift House Inn was ideal because it allowed us to walk everywhere and avoid the hassle of parking. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a most wonderful evening last night. The burgers at Jessica’s were delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The bedroom had a fireplace (perfect for an icy night) and the bed was super comfortable. The next day — everything was coated in thick ice. Dan helped us get to our vehicle and even helped scape the windows. I have always loved the Swift House, but Michelle and Dan made our stay even better. We will definitely be back!

Lovely property. Delicious food and warm service. I am not normally a B&B fan but this Inn affords plenty of privacy and is well appointed. Highly recommend (high praise from a cranky biz traveler)

We stayed in the Carriage House. The rooms are huge and luxurious. Lovely amenities (steam room, sauna, cookies, tea, coffee, fruit), manicured lawns with sitting areas — beautiful place!

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at the inn.
We had the swift room which was very comfy and cozy with a two person bath, a working fireplace which was so charming!
Our dinner was superb! Highly recommend the pan seared sea scallops. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!
They even surprised us with cider and a card waiting in our room for us. Highly recommend.

My husband snd I had a great 2 night stay in the Carriage House with jacuzzi tubs and fire place. Full hot breakfast included. They make an amazing maple granola with pecans and dried fruit. Close to shops/galleries in Middlebury. Attentive and friendly staff!

Had a wonderful stay here in August. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. The room was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. They went above and beyond to mail back a sweater to us in Indiana when my wife accidentally left it behind! If anyone is staying in the area this would be top on my list.

In my 19 years of life and vacation, Jessica's was by far the best meal I've had. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce had a beautiful balance of peppercorn and cream. The dessert (a maple crème brûlée) was incredible, a wonderful blend between maple, vanilla, and torched sugar. I would come back to Vermont just to eat here.

Step back in time to the 18 century well maintained rooms. The perfect gateway in the picturesque Middlebury VT. Wake up to a wonderful delicious breakfast. And have a toast in the mist romantic restaurant. Not enough, the sauna is waiting. If you feel like hiking, you may find all the information ready. All under the same roof. Wonderful most helpful and welcoming staff. Perfect!

Elegant, relaxed, well-located (5 min. From town) and has a friendly, accommodating, helpful staff. What else is there? The inn is beautifully maintained, well-appointed landscaped and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect! Many excellent restaurants are close by. We'll be back!

Swifft House In is an amazing experience. Perfect for a romantic weekend away. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant to die for.

What can I say they are simply the best! Sweet wonderful owners the team they have assembled are accommodating, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The rooms are beautiful and we'll appointed and the restaurant is impeccable with a well stocked wine cellar. We will be back over and over.

My boyfriend and I were recently guests at the Swift House Inn and I cannot say enough about how truly relaxing and lovely our visit was. From our greeting to the amenities in our room and at the Inn we were delighted! We especially enjoyed both the steam room and sauna in the Carriage House. Our room in the Carriage House, the Mansfield was spacious, warm, and inviting! We loved our jetted tub and fireside crossword puzzle! And the bed! THE BED! was heaven. Thank you, thank you. We hope to be guests again in the near future!

A lovely New England inn. Great place to drop off your stuff on your way to snowboard and ski. Nice breakfast too, small portions but a decent breakfast buffet.

Beautiful room! Stayed in the carriage house — sumptuous accommodations — bathrobes, spa tub, super comfortable bed. Great breakfast on the veranda! Highly recommend!

I have wanted to go to Swift House for years. It's such a beautiful building, and it is in a charming setting. Our gourmet dinner club decided to have our annual dinner out there last Spring. The interior of the building is elegant and cozy. Our group was seated in the Library. It was a wonderful place that we alone shared. The staff was courteous and friendly. My meal was excellent, and I think everyone felt the same. It is one of my favorite memories of dining out on Vermont. A job well done by all!

Lovely inn, very nice and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast. The restaurant was closed on the two nights we were there, but we managed to find great food in Middlebury. The town is full of great places to explore, and it felt very nice having the inn to come back to as our home base. We highly recommend and will definitely come back.

I wanted to celebrate our 38th Wedding Anniversary some place memorable.
So I got on line to look for B&B's and found Swift House Inn B&B called booked the Garden room.
I wanted it to be special for my wife and I.
With the Swift House's staff they hooked me up with Coles Flowers near by and the staff took care to put the boutique of flowers in the cooler until Thanksgiving Dinner.
The staff were soon nice, helpful and accommodating to our needs.
A great room and private. Good foods at Jessica's and great friendly wait staff.
I recommend Swift House Inn.

Great lounge/ bar area and an exquisite meal. 5 stars for atmosphere, service, and especially the food.

Clean, quiet, beautiful location walking distance to town and great food. Innkeepers Mary and Hugh are very nice!

The inn was great for our 2 night get away. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and offered suggestions for things to do. We got the chocolate covered strawberries, there were a bunch of them! Would go back.

We stayed in the Governor's suite. Great room, huge bed, comfortable pillows. The breakfast was delicious, room was comfortable. Close to downtown with lots of great restaurants and shopping.

Very nice restaurant. Expensive but it's very nice and the food was delicious.

The lady who greeted us was very friendly, she showed us to our rooms, around the house, and recommended a local restaurant for dinner (as well as giving walking instructions). The room itself was also quite pretty and well done, with all the usual amenities of an inn, as well a a very convenient listing of all the events in the area (movie night at the college, daily deal at local restaurant, etc. ). I was also very impressed with the breakfast, as well as the fact that they were willing to accommodate our travel plans by serving it earlier than usual. Overall a very quaint little inn in a very quaint little town that I would recommend to anyone who happens to be visiting.

I would highly recommend the Swift house Inn. My husband and I arrived for one night and stayed in the Governors Room (which is fantastic). Our plane was late getting in and so we arrived late in Middlebury. We were greeted by the nicest people. We told them we'd be dining in Jessica's Restaurant and once we dropped off our bags upstairs, we came down to a table with a highchair already pulled out for us (the food is the BEST! ). The room also had the cutest pack n play for our little girl set up with a cozy blanket for her. They are so caring and compassionate — — wished we could have stayed longer.

Just booked for the second time. Charming. Great staff. Terrific breakfasts. I absolutely LOVE this place.

Super great staff and excellent service from Dan and Michelle the owners. A problem with our first BEAUTIFUL room was attended to personally and quickly. The new room they moved us too was even MORE amazing. DInner at Jessica's and the morning breakfast were both as good as any I have eaten. Best Crab cake I have eaten and the fruit for breakfast was fresh and tasty.

Nice old world charm in the heart of Middlebury, Vt.

This place is THE best hotel I've ever been to. It has cozy rooms, free cookies, and a wonderful breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful, clean, luxurious, friendly staff, excellent included breakfast, and the tubs are jacuzzis! Stayed in the Turret Room in the Gate House for 3 days.
