Got to spend a weekend in Vermont and this was the perfect place. The room was good for what we needed but the rest of the lodge exceeded my expectations. Fire place, snow, great bar and service, breakfast was spot on, and shuttle service to the ski slope. The place felt like home and I have never been more relaxed on a vacation. 100% will be back.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Excellent amenities, including on premises Irish Pub, indoor large whirlpool tub, outdoor year-round pool, lots of fireplaces.

The Summit Lodge hosted an ROJ Ladies night celebration, last night (08-24-2018). Starting in advance, staff went out of there way to meet with us and discuss planning. Menu was AMAZING. Jessica and Emmett are filled with idea’s, options, and suggestions in an open no pressure offering. Rooms are old school rustic, but very clean, and crisp. Throughout the evening I discovered the need to modify existing plans and staff was always readily there to accommodate us. I recommend their services highly.

Food was okay. Slow service. A bit run down. In need of remodeling. The band was good though. Not a place I'd visit again.

Great customer service. Great staff, very helpful. Very nice place. Very clean. Nice breakfast buffet and bar. Nice patio, pool and outdoor activities, beautiful setting.

Really friendly staff; good food and nice relaxed atmosphere. Wood fires were a highlight. Hotel has slight lived in look but that means it's comfortable with itself. We had one double for me and my wife and one twin for the kids. We stayed 6 nights in April.

It was a great stay! We love ❤ outdoor pool, hot tub and very tasty breakfast in the morning.

THIS PLACE IS A GEM! Incredible staff, went out of their way in every way possible to make our stay pleasent and comfortable. Was greeted with cookies and classic Vermont robes upon arrival. The rooms are quaint and just the right size, most have balconies! Breakfast is AMAZING! Perfect before a long ski day! Hot tub and pool are the biggest highlight especially because the Irish Pub in the basement will serve you a cold one in the pool! The Lodge has an area with Ping pong & cornhole and an amazing common area with a large fireplace, game tables and reading nooks. The Irish Pub in the basement of the lodge is cozy, a short walk away from rooms and the pool. It has a pool table and live music Friday and Saturday nights. All in all this is the best ski lodge I've ever stayed at! I will be back for many more ski trips to come!

Perfect lodge for a ski weekend! Five minutes to the lifts, great food, friendly staff, hot tub, outdoor heated pool in winter, awesome free breakfast! Couldn’t ask for more!

Breakfast is amazing. The style is quaint. Great hot tub and heated pool. Rooms are small for four folks and mattresses old. You'd best like your bed partner. Could definitely use some updating, but the location is great. The driveway up can be slippery for a regular car.

Had a fantastic experience here. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the decor is charming. Can’t complain.

If you’re looking for an authentic ski lodge with a rustic feel this is the place. The wood lodge and fire places give it a very ski lodge feeling. As a family of four we enjoyed the common room and played games by the fire with other families and our six year olds enjoyed the hot tub but it was way too cold (high of 7 below) to go outside for the heated pool. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was good — especially the specials. The staff was friendly and my girls loved Molly as she took great care of us. As I said it was cold and the rooms were cold but when we mentioned to the staff ty were quick to bring us a space heater and that worked well for the room. Would stay again and recommend for a family looking to make authentic ski lodge memories!

Fun lodge with pool and hot tub. Rooms are definitely dated. Service was very friendly.

Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. The rooms aren't super-updated (2-3 star seems fair for level of in-room accommodation), but the star of the show is the two swimming pools (one heated), gigantic hot tub, saunas, multiple bars (some of which even serve to the hot tub and pools). Although the rooms aren't as updated as some, it keeps a quaint mountain chalet feel. If you're into fun and relaxation outside your room, you're in for a good time at the Summit Lodge.

My wife Elizabeth and I chose the Summit Lodge to host our wedding ceremony and reception this past September. From the moment we chose the Summit Lodge 7 months ago, all the way through the wedding and reception, the whole staff have been there for us every step of the way to make our special day perfect. Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate us to whatever we needed, including the last minute change to being an indoor wedding (can't help Mother Nature). We would highly recommend the Summit Lodge for any event (especially weddings) if your looking for an amazing Vermont Lodge experience with an amazing, helpful staff. A huge thank you to Emmett, Bill, Jessica, and the rest of the staff for an amazing wedding and reception!

Summit Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. From the amazing friendly staff to the beautiful accommodations. O'Dwyer"s Public House is a the pub onsite with great food and and tasty beverages. I plan to go time and time again.

Just came back from a wedding and I really enjoyed my stay at the Summit Lodge. The two bars are great fun and manned by very friendly bartenders. The pool area is beautiful and had a small fire pit in the back which is perfect for warming up on a cool Vermont night.
The lodge is very rustic and old school, which for me personally added to the enjoyment. I do wish, however, that the bedrooms were more along the same line. Although our bed was very comfortable, I though that the decor was very boring and doesn't show the true character of the place. The best part of the room is being able to use a swanky looking patchwork robe that I wanted to snag but talked myself out of. Lol.
The staff is very accommodating and I would like to personally point out that the current inn keeper, A Mr. Emmett O'Dwyer, is extremely personable and nice to chat with. Also at the time of this review, it was our check in woman's first day on the job and she was excellent as well.
The breakfast that they serve in the morning is really good and includes scrambled eggs, poached eggs, sausage and bacon, pancakes, french toast, and an assortment of other good edibles.
I am very happy with my stay at the Summit lodge and look forward to a future visit.

Rooms are nice sized and the beds are on the softer side. Hot tub and outdoor heated pool are perfect for relaxing after skiing. Figure out when the kitchen closes as we were snowed in, the kitchen closed and survived on our packed snacks. Common areas looked great and are filled with soft furniture but were pretty empty midweek.

Cozy, rustic, friendly staff. Not exactly the four seasons, but it's a quaint lodge that's great for families. Has a bed and breakfast feel. Rooms are very outdated, but usually fairly comfortable. The bar downstairs offers a nice option to stay in if you are tired, and they usually have live music at night. Nice buffet breakfast is included in the morning. Shuttle to the mountain included as well. Also within walking distance to the Foundry restaurant /bar. The theme of this lodge used to be 2 Saint Bernards, and the dogs were always there. New owners took over in 2016 though and there are no more dogs. That was a bit disappointing.

The summit lodge is awesome. The lodge itself is rustic, warm and welcoming. And the staff go wa above and beyond to make it feel like home. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and beyond accommodating. If you like a rustic mountain lodge with good accommodations, great food and drink and a staff that go above and beyond I highly recommend the summit lodge… I will be back…

The workers were very helpful and kind. Hot tub was nice, pool was nice, the place was clean and absolutely beautiful! They are working on fixing little things that need to be done and making the place super nice. In a year or two itll be perfect! The gardens are also lovely in the summer.

Fantastic views, service was incredible. There are tennis courts, pools, a hot tub, shuffle board, and lawn bowling. A new owner bought the place 6 months ago and he is working very hard to renovate and modernize the place. The staff is very pleasant and attentive.

I was here for a wedding. The rooms are rustic, and the atmosphere is very "New England"-y. The food was excellent, and the hotel staff was very helpful and attentive.

Accomodating, homely, friendly staff, amazing outdoor relaxation atmosphere. I felt at home yet like I was on vacation at the same time even though I was here for a work event.

12 Years of Amazing Winter (and Summer) Vacations We just came back from our favorite place for winter vacation. My entire family loves Summit Lodge. We started coming here about 12 year ago with our children and now with our kids grown up and living faraway, I continue coming each year just with my husband. This cozy place is equally great for families, young couples and for older folks. Summit is very clean and it has that beautiful charming Vermont flavor. The hot tub and the swimming pool outside after a day of skiing makes you feel incredible! The hotel's friendly staff with their exceptional service has become our second family. And let's not forget this place in the summer time — last year we decided to visit in the summer for the first time. It was wonderful! We enjoyed hiking and swimming in the large pool (with a bar) very near a beautiful lake. I must say that Summit Lodge is a great destination for the summer too! Fairfield, CT.

My wife and I had our wedding here, and I have to say Billy and his wife made it absolutely perfect! They consulted with us beforehand, did a beautiful job decorating, and the St. Bernards were two adorable beasts who simply stole the show! I would book with them again in a heartbeat, and I would definitely recommend the Summit lodge to other soon-to-be newlyweds. A+++
