I would recommend north star lodge for a little get away, not so much a vacation. We had a one bedroom room which we were told was a king size bed through RCI and ended up being a queen size bed. The bed was hard and there wasn't much space. The bathroom was small and it wasn't very kid friendly as far as activities to do in the resort. However there was a nice ski resort with a gondola ride and kid activities at the end of killington rd.

For the price, it's way too basic. No breakfast, no coffee in the room, etc. It would be plainly overpriced if not for the pool. The heated pool is amazing, the best in Killington.

RCI timeshare did us NO favors offering this place up for accommodations on our vacation to the east coast. They nor Northstar Lodge could offer compensation on anything for us. Our room reeks of fried bacon since we checked in, very dated amenities, carpet is gross, as well as the sofa and chair in living area. Bed hard as a rock, one of the pillows torn and filling coming out, no bathroom vanity space, small shower, horrific paint color choices. Woke this morning to a dead bug in my glass of water. No ice maker in room, hike two floors away to get ice. Oh and let me not to forget about the time to call it a day first day “Fire Alarms go off in our living area & bedroom” for no apparent reason. Best thing so far was the great young man that checked us in and tried to address our issues!
Would not recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay at the north star lodge… staff was exceptionally friendly, rooms are very comfortable but a little dated. Communal facilities (grill, lounge, pool) were well kept and not crowded. The lodge is in walking distance to a nice restaurant, breakfast place, and ice cream shop. We will go back if we have the chance.

Really cute place. Pool was nice. Room was comfy and clean. Really neat bar area (unfortunately closed since it was off season. ) Very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

King suite was awesome. 2 person jacuzzi in the room. The only suggestion would be to upgrade the linen. Matt at the front desk was amazing. He gave us top notch service with a smile.

Nice stay for a ski hotel. The pool was perfect after a long tiring day in the rain.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities. The 1-bedroom suite is AMAZING! We went during the off-season so we weren't able to go kayaking, caving or do the beginners ski slope. The hotel offered a lot a lot of good activities to keep us occupied. The staff was so nice and accommodating; Shane at the front desk is awesome.

The room was nice, however the furniture in the room was not cleaned and the dishes had to be cleaned before we could use them.

Convenient to Killington skiing. The resort is in transition. By that I mean some rooms arw nicer than others. The pool was clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Went here in the preseason months and was treated extremely well and was given a nice discount. The room accommodated 2 and we we're both saficiwnt in comfort.

Stay here Every January. Always well taken care of and meet some great guests. Love the suites and the pool alone is worth the trip.

Frequent the North Star every year: nice rooms, reasonable rates and absolutely amazing outdoor pool that is nice and hot after a long day on the mountain.

For the price of the stay it is worth it due to its location if you have a car to drive a quick 5 minutes to ski.

The Lodge we rented was incredibly spacious and accommodating for large groups. Location is right next to Killington, about a 10 minute drive away. Check-in was easy and the lodge was clean and had everything we needed (including a hot tub) Overall, great lodge at a great location.

The North Star was lovely. We had a great one-bedroom suite with a Jacuzzi tub. Would definitely stay again!

Slightly older hotel but everything was clean and in good condition.

The place is old. The blankets are horrible. My night would have been better if they just had normal blankets. Instead I was tossing and turning for 3 hours because I couldn't make myself comfortable. Otherwise, everything else was okay. The staff was very friendly. The coffee in the morning was good. And the view outside is just amazing.

I enjoyed this place. Good room arrangement and close to the good restaurants. The kitchen was very good.

My husband and I were lucky enough, to stay here, the night before the Spartan Beast. Charming atmosphere. The veiw from our room was lovely! The staff was so very friendly and referred us to the most amazing local restaurants. We had a great stay and will definitely be back! AROO!

Very nice hotel. Relaxing and peaceful. Room was spacious and very clean and comfortable (we had the king suit room p10. Penthouse) price we paid was great too. ($79 a night). Bar and lounge isn't open in the summer. But that's ok there is a restaurant next door. Pictures online look exact same in person. We didn't use the pool or sauna so can't comment on that. Overall will be back here. I loved it!

Nice setting. Looks good and well kept up. Seems very slow in the summer. The one bedroom was large. Room issues: Exterior doors locked with no way to open. Windows did not have locks. Air conditioners were very noisy and disturbed sleep. Bed was harder than I am use to. Bottom sheet left the lower 18" of the mattress cover exposed. I would have liked one that actually fit. Pillows are like slabs, had give but were not comfortable or able to adjust to a good sleeping positio…n. In a room quoted to sleep four, there were only three pillows. I'd prefer feather pillows or puffy foam compared to what was here. Overall, not a restful sleeping experience. Bathroom was fine. Showerhead was a low-flow, enough water but not adequate for a resort. Towels seemed undersized. The whirlpool tub was fine. The kitchen was complete and well outfitted. Only place to eat was around the bar (no table) next to the stove top. No desks or other work surfaces. Wi-Fi worked well. Bar/Café was not open. Maybe this is typical for the summer. Nice place to try. Not a location I plan on booking again. We have stayed in the Killington base area many times through the years and I have other places I prefer.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Told us about the walking path to the closest restaurant, although failed to mention the geese in between ;-)

Horrible experience staff was rude! Another patron claimed to own the place! They charged extra money as a separate charge on my credit card that wasn't on my receipt.

This was a pleasant surprise. It's not the most fantastic hotel ever, but it was excellent value for us. Clean room, no problems. I've stayed at some questionable hotels in Killington, so I was skeptical at first but it was pretty good place to crash. A reasonable price for a place that has a warm outdoor pool in the winter. Not a true 5 star but I think they deserve a bump in their rating because they are better than most of the places in the same price range.

I stayed in a king suite it was really clean and spacious for 2 people. And the heated outdoor pool was a fun time. No glass bottles. Bring cans!

Rooms are simple and nice, bathrooms have hot water, there's a heated pool! A five minute walk from a nice restaurant, and less than a 10 minute drive to Killington. Pretty happy with the lodge!

Very low quality but close to mountain.

Amazing service. Usually I don't care about this sort of thing — — I arrive, use my room at night, and never talk a single employee except for check-in. Last winter when I stayed here it was a different story though. On the drive from MD to VT, our driver hit and deer and totaled the car outside of Buffalo, NY. Everyone was ok and the insurance covered a rental, but it set our trip back a day. We missed the first night of our booking at North Star Lodge (booked through hotwire, so we didn't even pick this place out — — just the area). The employee we spoke to at North Star lodge was extremely understanding and gave us an extra night for no additional charge, even though she had zero obligation to do so (clearly stated when I booked it through hotwire). On top of that, the 2 bedroom we had booked was going to be occupied on our extra night, so they gave us the master suite. However, rather than make us use the 2 bedroom for our booked nights then switch over to the suite for the last night, they just let us use the master suite for our entire stay for absolutely no additional charges. Needless to say, I was blown away and their amazing service changed what could have been a disaster of a trip into a luxurious vacation. As far as the place goes, it's nice. Yes, the breakfast is limited to pastries, but the coffee is great and always available.

Hated it is an understatement. I stayed for two nights with another couple, otherwise I would have just gone home. I slept on my coat on both nights because the room was disgusting. The blankets were old and had cigarette holes, the sheets had hair on them, the pillows smelled like they came out of someone's grandmother's attic, there was crap underneath the bed (evidencing the fact that the cleaning people DON'T clean), the carpet probably gave me foot fungus, the bathroom flooring was coming up, and the shower floor was black. The TV was old and smaller than my phone. The only reason to stay here is the proximately to the mountain and the pool. Maybe you can sleep in the pool. Maybe you could deal with this hotel if it was cheap, but it's NOT. The price should have been half of what we paid per night.

Excellent, the staff is extremely nice and the scene an area it is located at, is extremely beautiful.

Don't ever do a time share appointment here and more so DO NOT BUY ONE! They will take total advantage of you and lie and manipulate till you leave the happy new owner of something great. Which is so far from the truth. There are catches and things you will not find out the truth about till its too late. And then good luck reaching out to this staff of "helpful", "concerned" and "trustworthy" people for help of any sort. We know of many many people, now that we've done our homework, who have had similar experiences. So unethical and immoral to think that there are people out there who make a business out of scams like this. Disgusting.

It was our first time to VT and we're surly coming back sometime soon! The snow and snowboarding was really cool but getting back to the hot pool, jacuzzi and cozy full-featured room was definatelly a great completion of the experience. The stuf is also VERY nice and welcoming. bottom line — no doubt the North Star is one of this places you have to saty in while visitng this area have fun guys.
