Love the hotel it was so welcoming.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. I found the innkeeper to be friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay, and I will plan to stay there again on future visits to Burlington.

I would give 0 stars if I could! In the beginning, the owner seemed unfriendly and dry, on the phone, but I figured that maybe he was having a bad day. When I arrived, he made me feel uncomfortable. When I checked in, he mentioned to me again that there was no smoking aloud in the room. I acknowledged him and let him know that I knew the state law and would comply. Then he threw a curveball at me and told me no smoking marijuana Either. I'm a 40 year old business owner who hasn't smoked since college, so what gives him the balls to assume that I do drugs! On top of that, he charged me a $30.00 deposit in cash that was Non refundable if I or my friend smoked in the room. Normally, you're supposed to take a person's CC number and charge the CC for any damage.
Then in the morning, he comes banging on my door because my friend was being a little loud and says that he's going to call the police and he wants us to leave now. 25 minutes later, when I went to check out, he tells me that my African American friend can no longer stay here. I told him that Neither him or I did anything wrong. The owner had nothing to say. Another Guest was also checking out and he sent him on his way, but when it came to me, he He ran right up into our Room quick fast to smell for smoke and marijuana smoke I presume. What about checking the other guy's Room? You should hold the same standard for every guest!

Wish I had read reviews before checking in. Owner Kalsang GGT (Gangjong Gesar Tsang) has a well documented history of harassing paying customers, and forcing them to leave with false accusations — and no refund. He also is known to add fraudulent charges to credit cards. My experience: after being woken at 7AM by Kalsang and being accused of "smoking in the room" he called the police on me and my girlfriend. We waited for the police to arrive who confirmed there was no smell of smoke. They told me they get calls like this all the time from Kalsang. I have no idea how this place is still in business, I'm disputing the credit card charge and he will not be seeing a penny from me. Glad some people out there were luckier than me, but looking at Yelp and other sites, this is standard practice at GGT Tibet Inn.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The guy is nuts. Knocked on my door at night threatening to throw me out because I was smoking in the room. I do not smoke and how would he know anyway? He proceeded to accuse me of smoking marijuana in the room and threatened to call the police. I suggested he do just that! Jerk.

Stayed here while we where on our Honeymoon and the owner was an ass. Turned off our AC because we opened the window to cool the room down plus to get the smell out… yes the room stunk bad… we told him why we opened the windows but he didn't care and wouldn't turn the ac back on. Told us if we didn't like it go somewhere else. But at that time it was already late at night so we endured it and stayed… we will never stay here again and I recommend you find somewhere else to stay also… like the reviews before it looks clean and nice but the owner is horrible. I'm all for rules, but come on at least have the rooms cool and smelling nice. Not hot and have a horrible closed up smell to it…

We check in an went to the room it was stuffy so we open the windows to air the room out an went to dinner when we return the power to the heat an air was shut off so I call the front desk an ask about it the owner show up telling me that he could not cool all of Vermont he was a small business an that he would not turn it back on for us the air was set at 75 degrees but the outside temp was in the 60s. It's to bad he doesn't know how to deal with the public.

My mom and I arrived to Burlington for a festival and were there early. The owner wouldn't let us check-in until exactly 3:30 which wasn't a big deal so we asked to sit by the pool which he said was fine. We were drinking wine and he came out yelling at us about no food or drink. We put it in the car but he continues to come out and yell and even told my mom she didn't know how to raise me! We leave and come back to check in and he refuses. He says since my friend had booked the room and we didn't have his card we couldn't stay. We called the police who said this guy causes a lot of trouble and they get tons of calls about him. Since the festival was going on we could only book an expensive hotel which meant cutting our trip in half.

Absolutely horrible place to stay! The owner is insulting and miserable to say the least. We had friends come up to the room with us when we first checked in and he came knocking on the door telling us we needed to pay extra if they were staying. We said we were all leaving for dinner and a night out and that they were most likely not coming back. He told us that he had cameras everywhere and if he saw them come back with us he would kick us all out on the street. He then proceeded to call my husband an uneducated man, among other things, when we went down offering to just pay extra to avoid any conflict later if our friends chose to come back with us. If I were you, reading this review, I would absolutely recommend you find somewhere else to take your business.

Worst place I have ever stayed, the owner is a profiling ass who dragged me, my wife and four yr old child out of our room at 1030pm and accused us of being druggies. The owner is quick to profile but has no problem with his druggy welfare cases that live there, and then throughout the night they have full control over everything in the room so the shut off your a/c and fridge, if you want a good ass rapping this is the place for you.
