Absolutely fell in love with the charm in this historic hotel. The elevator and the telephone switchboard were some of my favorite antique pieces. The staff was great. I would definitely recommend!

We had a very nice Christmas dinner. I had the duck and Jamie the cioppino. The service was good and the old New England charm was nice. There are a lot of local outdoor activities from cross country skiing, sleigh rides and snow shoeing.

We hosted our wedding at EMH this past summer and it was absolutely amazing! The bridal suite is huge with the porch right outside your door, which was awesome for us. The setting is exactly what we wanted — in the mountains, in the cutest town (our guests loved going through the covered bridge on the way into Jackson), with the nicest people. The staff at EMH were incredible — Linda is the wedding coordinator and she was a huge help. She made us feel incredibly special and ensured everything went so smooth. The bonfire was a blast and surprisingly no bugs. The food was amazing — it was fun to see everyone for breakfast each morning, and we did beef and chicken for reception main course. For apps we did crab cakes, scallops wrapped in bacon, and veggie spring rolls plus a cheese platter. We also did sliders and fries in the evening. We had so many sweets I am not sure we needed it but it was good nonetheless. The huge porch and charm of EMH was something we loved — we always had at least a few family or friends sitting on the porch at all times throughout the weekend. We had 20 guests play golf the morning of our wedding and they had a blast, some used the pool and others explored local options in North Conway. I highly recommend booking your wedding at EMH — we will cherish the memories made and have already returned a few times since. I know many of our guests also would like to go back to EMH as they enjoyed their stay and food so much.

It was outstanding. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated with great customer service and kindness. They offered us cookies, lit a fire, and gave us great history on the hotel. The grounds are lovely. Restaurant was delicious and bar fantastic. We cannot wait to come back.

Great place in the mountains for a getaway.

We loved our stay at your hotel these past two days. We dined on your Veranda both nights and were impressed with the quality of the food, as well as the staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and hope to return again.

My niece had her wedding at Eagle Mountain house last weekend. Every single thing about that day was perfect! We did not stay at the hotel, but as guests of the bride and groom we were treated like family! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, but very professional. Another family member didnt feel well and the front desk dug through boxes until they could find what worked. Experienced hikers front desk staff knew so much about the area and were very helpful! The ceremony setting made my cry just looking at it it was so beautiful, the reception under the tent was a dream in a wonderland. The food was delicious! A bonfire after the wedding put a perfect touch to a fantastic day! I hope to return again as a hotel guest!

Great place! Could sit on the front porch all day and look at the mountains! Friendly staff and check-on was so easy!

The rooms and beds are comfortable. Historic feel. The veranda is awesome to enjoy drinks, company and the weather. Friendly staff is helpful. Adequate food. Cannot understand closing the bar at 8pm, when the place is just warming up. Leaving money on the table!

This place is very cute. The rooms are really nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful. Beautiful porch. One thing though is the walls are paper thin. Could hear the conversation in the next room.

We just got married here; sharing a weekend with 20 of our closest family and friends. Everyone spoke so highly of the overall experience. Our stay was incredible; staff was nothing but helpful. The views are breathtaking and Linda and her event staff and THE BEST!

Can't speak highly enough about the hotel, the grounds, and the AMAZING staff-a gorgeous location, and top notch service. Beautiful venue for weddings, and Linda rocks!

I have never been to a place with friendlier or more accommodating staff. Very quaint (but old) property. We loved it. Our floor was slanted in our suite and my 4 year old loved the elevator. Beautiful property.

My daughter and her family took me here as a birthday gift. I couldn't be happier with our experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the area is breathtaking! the service and food were great. Our waiter for breakfast was wonderful. The only thing I wasn't completely happy with was our waitress at dinner. She wasn't very friendly with us. Maybe it was because we also had my 2 granddaughters with us. They are 4 and 18 months old. She was very friendly with other people she was serving. All in all I loved being there. Hated to come home.

We just got back from our second stay at Eagle Mountain house. This was our first big return to the world after the COVID shutdown. I thought the hotel and staff did a fantastic job of creating both a safe and warm environment. There was clear guidance, wipes and sanitizer available but it felt relaxed and hospitable. The rooms are comfortable. The food was delicious. The drinks are great. There is so much space to be outside. We will be back for a 3rd stay for sure!

Unfortunately, hotel turns out to be unreliable. After I canceled my reservation on March 29, 2020, I have not yet received my deposit back. Despite my repeated request.

Great location, excellent food brunch, Very professional and responsive staff. Great history — one strange thing. The rocker at the very end of the porch was rocking like someone was sitting there but there was no wind, all the other chairs were still. Was it the little boy or Lady in Red? Sat morning 2/29 around7:30 am. Coming back to explore more!

We had a lovely meal at Eagle Landing/Highfields restaurant. Mussels to start we're delicious in a wine and fresh garlic sauce. She had the scallops which were tender and yummy. I had the Pork Tenderloin which came with carrots and mashed potatoes. Best piece of pork I've had in some time. Dessert was a wonderful bread pudding and a fantastic cheesecake with Maine blueberries.
The best part was the service. Matt was perfect with his attention without being obtrusive. The timing of the dishes was spot on too.

It is the most relaxing place I have ever been. The atmosphere and ambiance is like no other. Linda and Craig are amazing people and treat you like a member of the Eagle Mountain House family. You really feel like your visiting friends and family each time you visit.

Only stayed one night but it was nice. Love the place and will be returning.

I've been coming to EMH since 1989. In the early 90's, I stayed here a total of 24 days one year, visiting in almost every month of the year! I like its awesome location, the comfortable rooms, their friendly and accommodating staff… It's great little golf course is very scenic. In winter, the x-c ski trails of the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation are right out the door! Hard to beat the Eagle, for hiking, golfing, foliage, skiing, or just relaxing:)

Everything. The staph is awesome, the hotels is an historic gem, spotless and lovely, and the food is amazing. The long veranda with its comfy wooden rockers, nestled in the heart of the mountain is so relaxing! We will definitely be back next year!

The views can’t be beat, the food is incredible, the people who work here care deeply about their perfect venue. We had our wedding here 9/21 and Linda and the whole team worked tirelessly to make sure it was the best weekend of our lives!

Ive enjoyed visiting the Eagle Mountain House for years until this weekend. I never post negative feedback online but was so appalled by the service we received, I couldn’t let it pass. Michael the bartender was extremely rude and not accommodating at all. After several strange encounters and awkward situations with Michael we spoke to a manger who corrected the situation. Unfortunately, it put a dark cloud over our stay and left us with a bad taste in our mouth. Besides Michael, the rest of the staff was fabulous. I would not recommend visiting the bar at the hotel as long as Michael is still employed.

Llovely old inn with tones of charm nestled in the white mountains. Staff is wonderful making the place feel like home. Kitchen is very good and they also have a nice little tavern.

Had a great stay this weekend at Eagle Mountain House… my only complaint is that we didn’t eat breakfast there the first night! The Breakfast Bowl is amazing! So delicious. I had the Duck entree the night before and again delicious. Great job with the food, we were really shocked with how great it was.

Came for the weekend to hike Mount Washington. Only twelve minutes away from the trailhead. House is absolutely beautiful with the wraparound porch. Overall very historic and charming with great landscaping overlooking a hold course. My wife loved it. Rooms were dated but you are staying in a historic house. Our room had a window a/c unit and the temperature was great. Overall clean with a nice bathroom with a shower and tub. There is a small pool across the street which was nice. Restraunt on site as well. We ate there. Food was OK, could be better but was convenient after a long day of hiking. We also ate at the breakfast buffet which was good as well. Overall would highly recommend staying at the Eagle Mountain House. Will have to return with my clubs and the play the golf course.

The hotel is very old and historic… That being said, I expected it to be old but not as run down as I found it. Our room was a bit dated, the AC didn't work at first, and the carpet smelled pretty humid… I was a bit allergic at first but acclimated as the day went by. Overall a good stay at a great price but not sure if I'll be staying here again.

We are loving our last minute visit to this classic property. Our dinner on the open air porch was excellent, and watching the sunset-colored clouds over the mountains was pretty special. The staff are friendly, relaxed and professional. I mentioned how beautiful the dahlias on the table were, and Craig the manager gave me one for my room. In water! Now that's a first. The guests also seem to have soaked up the friendly vibe. Is it modern? No. If that's your thing go elsewhere. It's kind of a less toney and more homey version of the Mount Washington Hotel. We're hikers, not golfers, but we felt comfortable here.

First impression of this facility was that it was an older place. If you enjoy places that are "cozy" with "charm, " this place is for you. Not necessarily my cup of tea now that I experienced it. Pros — quick check in and out, nice porch to sit and enjoy the views and space. Restaurant in facility, did not use however. Cons — elevator was out of order, (probably wouldn't have used it anyway, very old and scary looking). Stair carpet was worn down to nothing in some areas, needs replacing. AC was available in our suite but not in the actual bedroom. Vacationed with a toddler, no tub available. Asked for a crib, a stained pack n play was brought to the room. Mini fridge had a bottle of alcohol still in the freezer from whatever previous guest. Power went out on our last night, scary situation to wake up in in the middle of the night with family. It was back on shortly after.

We have LOVED this amazing, quiet, and peace filled space. Stunning plants with natural wonders within miles. Room was very nice with period piece furniture throughout. Room service was great with all staff helpful. We enjoyed the proximity to other jewels like the White Mountains or long winding roads.

Such an amazing experience. From the view to their beautifully preserved building the stay was an experience we won't forget. They have a restaurant (food was incredible), cross country trails, golf, a pool, several sitting areas, a library, pub and gift shop all in the lodge. I would highly reccomend staying here; we certainly plan on returning if ever in New Hampshire again.

Came here with them family for just one night then traveled just a few minutes to mount Washington the next day. The building was made in the late 1800's and you can definitely tell. Despite it's age and being mostly original, it is kept very clean. Nice places to stay with a great views especially while relaxing on the wrap around porch.

Our stay at Eagle Mountain House was great! The staff was super friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. The room was spacious and very clean! Breakfast in the morning was so yummy!

Great hotel if you're looking for a unique stay. Old building with 100% original furniture. Makes you feel like you went back in time. They also have a restaurant with great food. Close to mount Washington as well. They also have a 9 hole golf course.

Wow. Antiqueness at the best. Truly one of a kind. 1930 elevator, a public phone booth, a gramaphone, nice accommodative staff will make it a great staycation.

I am awestruck at the preservation of this beautiful place. Warm and cozy room. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and offered suggestions of “must sees! ” If you’re headed this way and looking for a place with character, look no further!

I loved it here. The staff was great. Tavern and restaurant had great food and drink and friendly workers. The room was comfortable. It had a feel of a quaint New England inn and I would highly recommend it. Look forward to future visits.

We had a great time at the Eagle Mountain House. A large part of the charm of this Inn is that it takes you on a journey back in time. It features large staircases, expansive verandas, a vintage elevator, and wonderful scenery. There is even a short nine hole golf course that was very enjoyable to play! The restaurant was very good, the bar was welcoming, and the staff were fantastic. This place is a treasure.

We had our wedding at Eagle Mountain House in October, 2017. Since we originally booked in April 2016 we went through several staff changes that caused a lot of fear and stress on my part. My fears were instantly alleviated when Linda Boyer was hired to manage events. Linda is incredibly organized, friendly and supportive. She put this type-A bride right at ease and answered my questions without making me feel silly for asking them. Linda and her team really served as a coord…inator for the day, making sure everything went smoothly and allowing my husband and me to focus on spending time celebrating with our friends and family. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and all of our guests had a great time. The carriage house was the perfect size for our 60 person wedding, and the ceremony at the 3rd tee was beautiful with the fall foliage. Our guests came in from 13 different states and were all able to stay on site (no designated drivers needed! ). The hotel itself isn’t anything fancy, but we liked that it’s quirky! The front desk, house-keeping and restaurant staff are attentive and friendly.

This is a beautiful old house with friendly accommodations. Dinner was fantastic, and my husband is picky! They give out free cookies, tea and coffee which is a pleasant surprise. Very picturesque in the winter.

Horrible! Hotel is horribly out of date worn out rugs, old cheap furniture no fridge or microwave. Have to walk across entire hotel and down 3 flights of stairs for ice. Staff was mediocre and the breakfast is charge for slow as can be with awful service and very few choices. Do not stay here.

The short story: The room had bed bugs and the front desk is severely lacking in customer service skills. The long story: I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to with my nightmare of an experience this past weekend. My coworker and I stayed here this past Friday, January 26. We found multiple bed bugs on the pillows and sheets. We were completely disgusted. We called down to the front desk to alert them and the night manager told us he would send maintenance up. He called back a few minutes later letting us know that maintenance had left for the day so he would give us a new room. When we spoke to him, he said he honestly didn’t know much about bed bugs. We asked him about laundry facilities to wash everything, and he simply told us where it was, not offering to compensate us for it. We were supposed to stay another night, but obviously decided to stay at a different hotel. Upon checking out, we let the lady at the front desk know that we found bed bugs and she merely said “oh, no”… we then let her know that we were not staying the night. She just said “I completely understand. ” Neither her nor the night manager seemed to take this situation seriously. I was surprised that she hadn’t even been informed of the situation before we checked out. Neither offered to refund our stay or compensate us for having to wash all of our belongings. Overall, the staff at the hotel were not helpful or empathetic. They didn’t offer any advice or help.

Very nice. Older country inn. Skating sledding and cross country. Ice climbing right up the road. Loved it.

Love this place! My wife and I got married here, and continue to enjoy coming back. The resturant is great and we always enjoy having dinner at the bar.

The service was nice and the location was great. The hotel itself was very dated and run-down though. The floors were creaky, there were cobwebs in my room, and the radiator kept making a loud clicking noise all night. I can understand a hotel having a rustic look because it adds character, and the main lobby of the hotel was brimming with an old-american atmosphere that I really enjoyed. That said, it isn't an excuse for poor upkeep and maintenance. I'll probably be staying somewhere else next time I find myself planning another weekend in NH.

Very rustic style hotel but the beds are uncomfortable and the heat doesn't respond to the temperature we set it to. Staff is very attentive to our needs and the breakfast is excellent!

We just spend one night at the Eagle Mountain House and we wished we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the rustic style hotel. It's like we were in a movie. The front porch is magnificent, sitting there with a cocktail after a long drive looking at the mountains is breath taking. The rooms was dated but clean & confortable. The tavern is nice and the bartender Brian was very helpful. We had the chance to enjoy a nice dinner on the veranda which was wonderful. Can't wait to come back and stay longer.

This is a very nice hotel in a very convenient location. From the Hotel, you can easily reach various trails, historic railroads, and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, and the building has a nice "historic" flair. Staff is very friendly, and the restaurant offers nice food choices.

Nice place! Looks cool from the outside, there are nice restaurants downstairs if you don't want to go out with good drinks. Seems like a homey place. It has a fun manual open classic elevator which was cool. The room was neat and clean and the bed was pretty soft! Got some nice soaps and things in the bathroom too. I'm not a golfer so I didn't try the links, but it seems like a popular course for people staying! Seems like mostly an older, golfer crowd here.

Reminder of a bygone era. It dates from the end of the nineteenth century. Long porches with rocking chairs extend the length of the facade. Period feel in the lobby and lounges. The rooms are clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms; shabby chic charm. I enjoyed the restaurant. Also easy access to the white mountains for hiking. I am not a golfer — — the golf links are right across the street, for those who like that sort of thing.

Beautiful old hotel in the shadow of the White Mountains. Seems like it was taken straight from an old photograph. A little worn at the heels, but overall clean and well maintained, with very friendly staff. Food was ok, drinks were better. Meals are probably worth going into any of the nearby towns to see what they have to offer.

What a great old building, built in 1879. We just stayed at the eagle mountain house. We were very happy to find a hotel that was 'pet friendly'.

One of the best veranda views this area has to offer. Fabulous dining experiences, wedding venue, family reunions, couples getaway or just a dining visit. You will want to make sure you check out the veranda dining. They have everything you could want right there on there property. Especially the good ole' New England hospitality. Check out their golfing it is worth the trip.

Eagle mountain house and gold club was very antique and pretty. While some areas were thread thin, the large building and history were delightful. The rooms were smaller than the average hotel in my opinion, but the location did provide a perfect jumping off point to climb the presidental mountains in the area.

Love this historic beauty! Pleasantly quaint with options from quite affordable up to a mountain-view suite. The property is up within the tree/mountains area, so it is surrounded by natural grandeur. I loved this soft white bedding, the library, the huge front porch (veranda), and everything else about our two-night stay. Highly recommend!

My family's been visiting Eagle Mountain for at least 10 years. It's loaded with historic charm and the location is beautiful. It's clean and the service is generally great. It's not fancy — — its charm comes from its age and location, not Four Seasons-level interior design or services. The rooms are full of odd angles, aging furniture, and retrofitted bathrooms and wiring — — if you want posh, look elsewhere. If you want history, charm and mountain scenery at a reasonable price, this is your place.

Never stayed overnight, but it has great food, and a great bar. Views on the front porch are beautiful.

I have been staying at Eagle Mt. For over 20 years, averaging about 3 times a year. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Growing up in North Conway from age 5, I've stayed at many motels, inns, etc. Eagle Mt. Is by far the best. I've never experienced anything but immaculate accommodations, top of the line food, and great treatment by the staff. Of course the hotel is old! There is going to be old pipes, Windows, etc. It adds to the charm. If you want 2016 modern, go somewhere else. This is from 1915! And it's in great shape.

As always we loved our stay at Eagle Mountain House! It's such a beautiful spot. We had the prime rib in the tavern Saturday night with the truffle fries both were delicious! Our server was very good and very friendly. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We didn't give 5 stars only due to the girl at check in and check out; 1st time in the 20 years of coming here that there was an unfriendly employee. Otherwise great weekend get away!

We liked this hotel and stayed in it several times over the last few years. Nevertheless, our last six-day stay (originally, planned as ten days) was one of the worst hotel stays we have experienced. Much has changed recently, it seems. 1. We had a two-room suite. Half of the time (three days), one of the rooms was dark, because something happened to wiring, as a consequence of a short circuit somewhere. One lamp out of three was functional. We informed the hotel twice. Both times, we were promised a repair “tomorrow, ” but nothing was done until our departure. As a result, while we paid for the suite, we (three adults) used one room, mostly occupied by a bed, in the evenings. We understand that some electrical problems may be difficult to repair while the room is occupied. However, an honest action on the part of the hotel would have been either to offer us a different room, or at least not charge us the full price of the suite – the hotel attempted neither. We encountered such dishonesty for the first time. 2. Half of the time (three days), the toilet seat was broken — a sizeable crack on one of its sides that would “bite” you if you sat on it. 3. We had several teaspoons (one of us had to take medicine, followed by a yogurt). On two occasions, after cleaning, our teaspoons disappeared from the room, and the hotel could not find them. Since these spoons were a part of a set, we now have an incomplete set (the replacement cost is $199.99 + tax + shipping).

Beautiful old resort. Rooms have some "character", but some may find them to be outdated. Furniture is old and worn. Family suite for 5 included a queen bed and a pull out sofa double bed-we had to call down for a cot which added $10 to our tab (not mentioned when we called and booked for 5 people). Very friendly staff. Pool is small but fine for kids.

The outside of the hotel is gorgeous very charming and historic with great views. Unfortunately that's about it. I'm not sure why so many other reviews indicated the rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Our room was a two room suite and the bed was awful! The pillows smelled like they were febreezed to cover a urine smell. The outdated decor and very worn carpet left much to be desired. We had moths in our room and there were ants in the restaurant (on our table and on the table that the food was on for the breakfast buffet). We checked out a day early (had a 2 night reservation and stayed one night) due to the less than stellar accommodations. It's too bad because the setting was lovely. You get what you pay for… this is one of the more affordable inns in the area. Stay at the snowflake Inn if you can swing it. It's truly an oasis.

Spent 5 nights here on our honeymoon the first week in May and we loved the place! Beautiful historic hotel, views and surroundings, delicious food and amazingly friendly staff! We couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Eagle Mountain House as our get away! We will be back… :)
