Very cold pool the only problem.

Needs to fix the outer doors, key cards don't always open them. Room was inviting, was surprised as to how quiet it was, stayed 4 days for a business trip and the beds were comfortable, space for my stuff and nice hot showers. Fridge and microwave were so convenient and worked. Air conditioner was a blessing after coming in from working in a non ac place all day. Because of Covid, there wasn't breakfast or room service. They clean the rooms after you leave. Understandable. They just need to fix the outside doors, so that going in is an easier time, I spent ten minutes fiddling with key card and door to get it to open. But satisfied once I got new cards.

Check In process was unpleasant due to staff being rude and condescending. BathRoom was dated and BreakFast was limited the second day.

Got into the hotel room at 5am after a 14 hour work day. Even with Do Not Disturb sign out, I was woken up 3 times by people trying to clean the room. Happened to me and 6 coworkers, all in different rooms, all with Do Not Disturb signs out. One coworker had a cleaning lady just walk right into the room while he was trying to get back to sleep. We went for lunch around noon, came back, all of our key cards were canceled out and we couldnt get into our rooms. The doors shut …hard enough, and walls are thin enough, you can hear the room 2 doors down closing their door, and hear the room service knocking on doors 2 doors down. I do not recommend this hotel. Unless you like to be woken up every 2 hours.

The pool was dirty last Friday when I stayed there and the hallway to the pool was so cold. The hot tub could get be re painted it looks awful. The room was however really nice.

Great location just in the middle of a renovation. The breakfast was served where the workmen’s tools were being stored along with supplies etc. There was one table set up really was a disappointment.

Overall it is a great place to stay. Could use some updates but staff was friendly and it was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Staff friendly coffee available 24hrs nice breakfast. Rooms were clean but outdated along with the hallway and stairs. Hotel was pleasant. But good use a makeover.

Not enough towels and blankets for 4 people in a room l. Blonde lady and bald guy at front desk were very rude only nice one was Diana she actually seemed to care about guests needs.

This is the Ramada by the sub base in Groton. As you pull up to the property and their front desk lobby area, all looked acceptable BUT when we entered the room it was so bad I could not believe that Ramada corporation would allow this property owner to stay in business. Bathroom had damaged water stained ceiling tiles, the vintage AC unit in the room was so loud it was hard getting to sleep. Their continental breakfast was basically stake day old bread items, and the indoor pool was very small and disgustinly dirty with a noticeable scum ring. Yuk! Stay away.

Room was nice. Service was decent. Good breakfast. Pool was fun. Would go again.

It's a nice place. I expected something a little nicer for the amount of money it cost per night but with that being said it did have everything you need. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. A little disappointed in the size of the pool but none the less they had a pool and hot tub. The unsupervised kids at the pool was pretty annoying especially when you ask them to stop jumping in and be aware of the little ones you have trying to enjoy the pool. Then you overhear one of the kids say to another one of the kids my aunt works here. Overall it was good.

Omg! This was the dirtiest most disgusting hotel I have ever been in! The walls of the room were filthy. There was a chair that looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster. The floors so dirt we were afraid to walk on it with bare feet! If we had a blue light to detect DNA I would have ran out screaming! There as no iron or ironing board in the room, so I go down to the front desk to ask for them and I was given as iron that was so dirt I could not iron my clothes with it. And to add insult to injury, I was told I had to return it upon leaving. This is most definitely a never to return hotel! A sister chain of the Bates Hotel.

1. After driving to hotel tired and wanting a hot shower… gentleman at front desk had the biggest chip on his shoulder and was so rude. I am a business owner and would never act this way to paying guest.
2. Given I have never stayed at this chain of hotels we had to because we are relocating from CT to FL and had our family cat with us. Rooms need upgrades for sure. Husband got bit marks from something on this arms. I felt like things where crawling all over my legs while in bed.
3. We paid for 2 nights and disnt even make it 24 hours. We had to leave! So gross
4. Pool was dirty (cloudy) and full of paint chips, stained carpets in hallways, hole in my room!
Overall I would have given a 1/2 star and that is only because a nice wan who was working behind the desk a that checked us out. She was so happy and positive and couldn’t apologize enough.
Very disappointed and will never ever stay there again … or even a Ramada in general.

The staff was wonderful, the hotel however was ran down. And the morning breakfast was sorry. You could smell the bacon and eggs but that was only for room service. There was better for waffles but only 1 of the 2 makes was in service. We went there because we were visiting parents, and Parents graves. The trip was made worse by this awful start to my morning.

Changed my room 3 times finally got it right the third. Never get a smoking room. Hot tub was very nice.

Worst place ever. Unimaginably dirty. The damaged air conditioner and refrigerator make incredible noise.

Clean rooms, but the hallways smelled funny, weird setup, breakfast downstairs was great since it's a wyndam hotel now, just funny navigating to it, should be upstairs, and spa should be downstairs, good place for a good price.

Although the front desk people were nice this place was dirty the carpets were gross and it was very run down won't stay here again.

Went to visit my son who booked a room there. Hotel is old and falling apart and smells. My son never even spent tbe night. Left hotel after spending three hours there and decided they couldnt take it for the night. Management could care less that they were unhappy.

Left motel 6 for here. Room was clean and had all amenities. Microwave and refrigerator iron, and laundry room. No smoking hall smelt like smoke but the room did not. Pool was clean, and breakfast was good. Was here for a week and overall very comfortable experience. Great pillows.

Room was big, but dirty. Bottle caps under bed, toe nails in the corner on the floor. No room service at all. Bought a cot, they dropped the bed off with no blankets & pillows. When I went to the front desk to ask where blankets & pillows where was told maintenance left. I told the front desk I bought & paid for a cot. But it doesn't come with blankets? Umm. She then gives me blankets that have stains & burn holes in them. Ran out of toilet paper was told room service left. Hot tub was very cold & not working properly. Made them awair. Not any better after it was "fixed". Not happy at all. Will not be back. Would not recommend staying here.

Disaster. In front of the garbage of the Safacones 6 days without picking up the Jacuzzi disgusting. Fatal breakfast 4 years ago was different better quality… The area all destroyed no PAL price and as they said this fatal I do not recommend very different from the photos.

Currently staying the night here due to power outage from the storm. Normally we’d stay home but we have a 7 month old and it’s just so cold. My review is going to be nothing but negativity because this place is not worth the money even though it is only $80 a night. First off when we got to our room (non smoking) it smelled like somebody just got done smoking a pack of cigarettes. The window was wide open with the screen popped out half way with the window lock broken. We had reserved a “crib” when reserving online and when I went to the desk about it because it wasn’t in the room I was told this exactly, “well who did you reserve it with?! ” And I told him we reserved it online when reserving the room, his response being, “well online doesn’t give you the crib, I do, and I only have so many so if I have one I’ll bring it down”. Okay fine. I walked back to my room after thanking him. He finally brings down the “crib” and it’s an old as dirt, stained with formula/ milk, nasty smelling play pen. A crib is NOT a play pen last time I checked. So my son will be sleeping with me. Well that issue is out of the way. We decided to take the baby in the heated indoor pool which was all fine and dandy until we got in. There was hair everywhere and a nasty brown film all along the side of the pool. The floor was soaked, which is to be expected.

The room is clean but kind of out dated. Beds are pretty comfy. Bathroom is clean. There is a door that opens onto a tiny patio by the bed which is nice for fresh air. The front desk staff is top notch.

Nice place to go to the day after Christmas, heated pool and hot tub were available to us and a sauna! Continental breakfast had oatmeal, make your own Belgian waffles, fruit, etc! Place was clean and c lose to Walmart, and assorted restaurants.

Looks good from the outside, room was decent inside. Poorly laid out building inside though — elevator hard to find and not convenient, stairwell carpet was outrageously dirty, breakfast area is in the basement and hard to find. Pool area not the best. As a plus — they have a coin-op public laundry area. Overall the room was clean so I would stay again if I was doing a quick overnight and didn't want to spend a lot.

The staff was great! The price was right… And the breakfast was ok… However, the room was discusting. The rug was torn and sticky… The toilet was dirty, the coffee pot had old coffee in it and the furniture was from the 60s I think. Not just out of style but all scratched up. They have smoking and non smoking rooms but they are in the same hallway.

Smelled awfully of smoke, the pool water was disgusting, and the room was okay, but kind of disorganized. They work hard, and the breakfast room is in the basement.

Definitely best price in the area for the accomodations. (We've inquired at a number of other facilities in the area). Rooms were clean and comfortable, Beautyrest mattresses, indoor pool and hot tub, breakfast until 10am with large selection of items. Several diners/restaurants within walking distance, Wallmart and a shopping mall right across the street. Casinos only a short drive away. We only needed to stay for 1 night but if we're in the area again we will head for Ramada again.

Very nice room, very clean and cool. Spacious bathroom and extra towels. Breakfast was good, and there was a pool table in the downstairs bar; bonus!

My experience staying here was awesome… The staff was very hospitable and accommodating… The room was very clean and nice… Me and my girlfriend stayed for two days for her birthday and we had no complaints at all… I would definitely stay here again…

Booked a room there for 3 night stay and when I arrived at 11pm with wife, three children and my pup they stated 'they have no more rooms' and I quote from that little weasel behind the counter "YOu should of called us before you arrived since you didn't call we gave the room away" 1. Look idiot, I came off a ferry with my family (my children are all under 9). 2. You already charged my card for 439.99 3. I will never stay at any Ramada ever again. We were scrambling for a room at midnight becuase of this and found COMFORT INN in Mystic. CLEANER and CHEAPER than this place. avoid this hotel.

I stayed here for a night for Labor Day weekend. It was good enough for the price although it’s higher than normal rates on the holiday weekend. The setup of the room was cozy and the sheets were clean. The bathroom and breakfast room were fully stocked. It’s a great dog-friendly place hotel. It is very convenient to the Mystic town. Minor negatives are some moldy furniture, and poor wi-if signal ifrom my hotel room. I would go here again for a short stay.

I choose to stay here with my family for location and price. With the pictures featured on their page, it seemed like a great place. Man was I wrong! The facilities are run down and not maintained. The pool needs proper water treatment and the hot tub needs the be replaced. The hall way floors are distgusting and our room was never vacuumed during a several days there. Upon arrival the room smelled fowl, so I cleaned the A. C. Unit filters which allowed the odor to subside. The breakfast was meager and not managed well. Our in-room coffee was never replenished which made the weak breakfast even worse. I recommend that all stay far from this place until management makes some changes to staffing and budgeting. So disappointed!

My five year old found loose prescription drugs on the floor from previous occupant in the room. All reported to front desk and to the manager of property who was rude. I've called corporate to report this. Absolutely horrible hotel stay.

We were staying for our goddaughters baptism, so we decided to get a "nice" hotel with a pool and a nice king size bed. Instead we get a hotel room with barely working lights, peeling wall paper and a pool, that was still open to swimmers, that had paint chips floating from the bottom of the pool. Wouldn't recommend ever staying here. Friends don't let friends stay at this Ramada.

This hotel needs serious renovation. The pool area is the worst part. It looks dirty (visible dirt on hot tub walls and seemingly permanent yellow tinge to pool), has extensive other maintenance needs, and is surrounded by permanently-soaked carpeting. It's honestly verging on disgusting. The room was mostly OK, but bathroom definitely needs an update and smelled musty. Would not stay here again if I could avoid it.

We got a smoking room at the Ramada. It was a nice cozy room and 20 minutes from both foxwoods and mohegan sun. The service was excellent. The person at the front desk was polite.

Nit satisfied with these accommodations. Rooms were musty, and in great need of basic maintenance. Screens had tears on them and we're warped so they didn't even touch the window sill, bathroom door didn't latch, bedside lamps were loose and wobbly, electrical panel between the beds with a lids the did not latch covering wires. A child could easily pull at the wires. Toothpaste still on bathroom door jam from previous patrons. Toilet seat cover was loose. Afternoon staff not overly friendly. Conveniently located to local attractions.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and overall the room was good but the bathroom had flushing problems and we had to flush the toilet about 3 times for it to correctly flush. I went down to the pool and I could not stay another minute the bleach in it is very strong, so strong it got 2 of my cousins and myself sick I had a terrible cough, my nose was stuffed, and my eyes burnt. I did not go to sleep and then wake up sick I just came out of the pool that I stayed in for about 10 minutes and became sick, I definitely DO NOT recommend going to the pool. The bathrooms near the pool are also very disturbing they are stuffed with toilet paper and over flowed I went the next day to check it out and it wad the same way. Overall, The service was well and the breakfast was okay there was just bread and drinks, no proteins.

The Ramada (as a whole company) should be ashamed of themselves. I booked a reservation on the Ramada website for a one night stay in Groton, CT. I DID NOT pay up front (this will come into play later). I was supposed to pay when I checked in. Some how to my own fault I lost my confirmation number, email etc. When I called Ramada to cancel my reservation they could see the reservation in the system but told me I booked it through Expedia. Therefore they were not able to cancel it, I had to call Expedia to cancel. While I do have an Expedia account 99% of the time I book my hotel reservations directly with the hotel. Funny thing is when I called Expedia (3 separate times) they told me (all 3 times) I had no reservations at all through them. The customer service I received from the Ramada was absolutely ludicrous. I called them about 5 different times hoping to find someone that could help me. They just kept transferring me around. One person flat out told me I was lying to get my money back. What money? I wasn't charged for anything, I didn't pay up front. All I wanted to do was simply cancel a reservation. I even talked to someone from WYNDHAM hotel group, twice. The one lady from WYNDHAM was very unhelpful and condescending and to end the conversation she asked me what number I had for Expedia. When I told her she said she had a different number I could try.

Hotel is a good price range. Not a 5 star hotel experience but a convenient location with clean rooms.

I don't have a problem with older or even dingy appliances, furniture, or linens. But the closet door was literally hanging off, there was a long crack in the ceiling, there were some drops of dried blood in the bathroom and the toilet came away from the wall and rattled when someone tried to sit on it. What I thought were bleach stains or pulls in the carpet was actually just something crushed in it, and there was food and grease splatter on the microwave. This was a suite. We couldn't even stay — we asked for a refund and for a room ten minutes away.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. It is a dependable value with courteous staff that exceeds many competitors at the same price range.

The room was nice and clean at lease with the things that normal people would look at; however, there are a few places that weren't clean (e. G. The front of the heater/air onditioner, full of dust; the floor near the edge of the wall, dirty). The breakfast was good enough, coffee, milk, bagels, cereal, pastry, nothing nice and hot though. The front desk service was super nice though! Overall, for the price, it is a good place to stay for a night, nothing long, don't expect too much!

There were about ten of us that had rooms booked. Front desk guy was miserable, should NOT have a job in the service industry. Could not get ice our entire visit. The restaurant in the hotel had a horrible smell that went throughout the entire hotel. Our toilet was backed up for three hours on Saturday. The breakfast was gross. The pool seemed like it had never been cleaned.

Great hotel. Breakfast could have been slightly better. On and off problems with the Wi-Fi. The front desk lady was very nice because she honored a coupon that was for last minute travelers when I had booked in advanced, because my son-in-law found it. Would definitely recommend this.
