Beautiful hotel very spacious.

I appreciated the cleanliness of our room and liked the bathroom. The room decor was dark and sterile, not the usual warm and comforting feel. The modernization and the plastic floor left it feeling like a Super 8.

It was our anniversary and they gave us top floor best View in the hotel thank you again it was an awesome!

We wanted to have a little getaway with our 2 daughters (7 &1) during school vacation, so we booked a day at Mystic Aquarium and the night here. We were thrilled with our experience. Beautiful, clean rooms. Very friendly staff, nice indoor pool, Starbucks on site for our morning coffee. We were also so happy because we finished the Aquarium earlier than expected, and with a teething 1 year old we didn't know what we were gonna do for a few hours before standard 4 pm check in. We decided to go there around 2 anyways and just see, and they let us check in immediately, it was awesome. I have almost never had a hotel let us check in so early, in fact I have had the opposite problem where they arent ready at 4pm and its so frustrating when you are already paying 120$ for one night. We definitely got our moneys worth! also let us check out an hour later at noon instead of 11am for no extra charge. Overall a fantastic experience and we will absolutely stay there again if we are in the area!

The staff are very friendly and helpful esp Charles. Room is very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Definitely we're going back.

High quality highly professional layout is remarkable as far as rooms restaurant. Pool is maintained clean hot tub was immaculate recommend Marriott in mystic for anybody what are you planning a business meeting a wedding or any kind of gathering top notch service outstanding!

Great clean and posh facility with an excellent onsite restaurant. The only downside was the concierge lounge — not even close to the usual Marriott standard.

Where do I begin? Everyone from: the Front Desk to the bartenders to room service, and the spa were absolutely accommodating! This was our first time staying at the hotel itself, we would come for the Red Door Spa. LOVE the MYND Spa, will come back definitely! The ambiance of the room was so great! We seriously can't thank the Mystic Marriott enough for such a fantastic mini getaway before the holiday. My husband and I are so relaxed and happy.

Keith is always so helpful getting our bags and Lauren and Amy at the lounge bar make the day that much better. The front desk staff go out of their way to be efficient and helpful and provide lots of coffee. Ty!

0 stars The waitstaff at the bar (octagon) were the most unprofessional and rude people ever. Our waitress, a blonde older woman, treated us to poorly. All we ordered were fries, to which she rolled her eyes. When the food came I asked if I could have some barbecue sauce with it and she audibly scoffed and walked away. Then when we asked for our bill she came up with the table, and told us "I dont think you'll be able to afford it, its $4.07" I am so curious as to why she thought we couldn't afford anything? like lady you work as a waitress in a hotel and I own my own business. Perhaps because I was in leather? I think even if I were dressed as horribly as she was (in a bright pink shirt which definitely clashes with her blonde hair, she should have gone for pastels. The woman clearly cant dress herself well). Her terrible attitude stuck with us on our way home just in awe and flabbergasted at this woman who is slowly becoming unhinged. I feel sad for her, that she has to be so mean to people she doesnt know.

Very nice rooms, super comfortable bed and friendly employees. Nice bar area although we wish there was a free continental breakfast.

For a decent rated hotel they sure dropped the ball this past weekend. What a horrible experience had by me and my family. Upon reaching the check in desk I was told that our reservation/name was not in their system. On top of that they no longer had the size room we reserved (enough for 5 people). We ended up stuck in a tiny room where members of our family had to sleep on the floor. This is completely uncalled for! You would think that you would properly train your staff with the knowledge they need to take reservations and not totally botch a family’s trip. I will gladly tell everyone I know to stay far far away from your establishment.

Excellent facility; top notch staff; always accommodating! We were in town for a concert at Mohegan Sun (2nd visit here) and we were celebrating our 29th Wedding Anniversary! The server from their on site restaurant, Octagon, went above and beyond… this is what we found in our room when we came back from the concert… amazing!

Great stay. Quick check in and accommodation for all travelers. The manager quickly helped me move my room to a quieter area away from a hallway A/C unit. Rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable! Wi-Fi is fast and no password required to sign on. I’ll stay here again!

Newly renovated lobby and rooms. Love the new layout and renovations. The rooms are modern and clean. The floors are laminate so very different from the carpeted floors they had before. I personally liked them but some people prefer carpet. I wish they had given me slippers to wear in the room as that would have made it more comfortable.

We came here for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. The hotel was in excellent condition and you could tell it was recently remodeled. The staff was friendly and went out of their way toale sure we felt accommodated. We ate at the breakfast buffet in the Octagon restaurant both mornings. The food was great. We ate dinner there one of the nights as well. We got a couple's massage at the Red Door Spa. It's nice that they have both a spa and restaurant right at the hotel. Highly recommend staying here.

Potential to be a great hotel, however my stay in room 537 left a lot to be desired. Room wasn't ready when's we arrived after 4 P. M. Had to get ready for a wedding, so we changed into our finest in a locker room. Came back after midnight and we were given a room without A/C, just a noisy fan from the front desk to keep cool by. Room was sparsely appointed with no chair for the desk or chair for that matter to relax in. To tired to request a different room, so we just crashed on the heavenly beds until morning. Bathroom appeared to be recently refurbished, but otherwise great. Breakfast was great, but had to wait a half hour to be seated. Staff was always warm and helpful.

We stayed at the Mystic Marriott for an overnight family trip. Although Saturday's beach plans were thwarted by rainy weather, we enjoyed the hotel's wonderful pool and hot tub. We took a nice excursion to the family friendly Lyman Allyn Museum. We enjoyed more time in the pool. Our room was stylish and comfortable. The next day, we headed out to Ocean Beach. But, first, we had a great breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. Overall, I was very impressed with our experience at the Mystic Marriott.

I had the worst experience at this hotel yesterday! Upon checking in, we were told our room wasn’t ready and would be ready in an hour. After an hour, we went back to check on the status of our room and were then told that our reservation was mysteriously gone and the only one they found with my name was for August 6th. The manager was so rude and condescending to us and told us there was nothing she could do for us because the hotel was full for the night. Then, 2 hours later, I received a call saying that they found my reservation, they had just spelled my name wrong. This was the most pathetic excuse I have ever heard.
I was absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated by the staff and was so embarrassed. Needless to say, I will NEVER be giving Marriot my business again. You should be ashamed of your manager and her customer service skills.

I enjoyed my stay! The staff was very helpful, nice, kind and very professional. All my needs were met to the fullest! Did I say the shower was the best omg you don't want to get out. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay. It's in a perfect location near stores and eatery. Inside pool was great, and for the workout buff there's something for you to a exercise room. Not PF but it will get your workout done and feeling good! Breakfast was awesome, buffet like we like it! Great snacks and fruit as well. I loved my stay and I approve this message! Enjoy everyone.

Placed in a room for the disabled. Only a small dim shower light in the bathroom and no room on the vanity so I had to apply my makeup using a table near the window. Otherwise it was fine and the staff were very polite and helpful.

CLEAN place to stay but is under renovation. A few mis steps with the renovation — shower has no trays, glass work area top looks good but an optical mouse doesn’t work, nice air handler but it made a banging noise every time it started, small sink area barely enough room for a guys toiletries let alone 2 peoples stuff, LOTS of towels was good. They put me in a handicap room so I don’t know yet what a standard room is like but this one was probably roomier than standard. Buffet breakfast was OK but not great — all employees were very nice!

This hotel was not what I anticipated at all. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't an "experience"either. There's no view to look at in any room and the room lacked so many things one could use. And for the price of the a complimentary breakfast would have been nice gesture to thank their guests. Also, I'm positive I did not get a king size bed eventhough I double checked that at the front desk. I just really expected more for the money and all the pictures online. I did enjoy the Home Show event that was there! Great job on that. Probably won't visit again. Thanks.

In general, I've stayed at cheaper places in other cities that we're much nicer and provided many more things complementary to the guest for lower price points. The water glasses in the bathroom were cracked. I assume to encourage you to instead pay $4 for their Fiji Water they provided in the room. On the last night of my stay I found something that looked like old candlewax (it was gray and stiff and had ran between the pillows) behind my pillow that had been there for at least the 5 days I had already stayed. In spite of the hotel advertising that they change linens on the beds every three days. Overall, I'd recommend against staying here. I was very unhappy with my experience.

The staff was awesome. We enjoyed our stay. I believe it was Tina whip was our dining room attendant. Most helpful and over the top enthusiasm!

I attended a professional event their recently as well as spent the night. I found the facility accommodating to work with as I set up and broke down my booth. IT was very helpful as well as the rest of the staff. The room was nice and clean with great pillows. Good bodywash, shampoo, and soft towels. Check out was easy and parking was plentiful.

The start to our romantic weekend begins with me calling the front desk at around 7 or 8, and letting them we would be arriving late that evening because we are going to the Sugar Factory at FW. The associate says okay I'll add a note. Beautiful right? So we arrive and they say we don't have a reservation for the night. The associate says no problem… I'll get this fixed for you. Calls a supervisor or manager or more experienced person over… This guy immediately comes over WELL THEY DIDNT BOOK THE ROOM TONIGHT. I've never been to a hotel where they start off pretty much calling me a liar. I show him the email with my reservation for both days and tell him I spoke to an associate. He just takes no accountability of the issue. You would think he was paying me to stay there. Myself the booking agency and the original associate got everything resolved, and the manager then… Charges me a higher rate than my reservation. I decided to wait until I was checking out in case there were any other issues related to charges. Everything else was fine as charges go. Then we went to the spa which was amazing. The Octagon was also very good. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the TV sucked. I'm not proof reading this please excuse any mistakes. I guess the manager is really what just completely tainted our experience from the first second I was there.

My husband and I booked 2 nights through Expedia. When we got there they only had 1 note night booked. It was a small problem with Expedia… That would not have been a big deal. But the night time manager person was not very nice and the opposite of helpful. Our experience with him ruined our stay. Other things to note. The young man who runs the front desk over night was great. The spa was amazing. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that's happening in the next room. And lastly the TVs suck. My husband and I will never stay at the Marriott in mystic… And we will think twice about staying at a Marriott anywhere else.

The rooms were very nice and clean. Location was great (just off the highway). The ballroom was beautifully set up and the staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Service at the bar was very slow for overpriced drinks.

Horrible! They down graded the room we had reserved to a double double. Was a VERY tight fit for two large adults. Please explain how they can not have the room we reserved and paid for. We were told by someone on staff that this happens all the time. When we got to the room it hadn't been cleaned and coffee maker was broken. After it was cleaned we went out. On returning I went to shower only to find the wash cloths were filthy! When we went to breakfast the next morning, the English muffin was covered in mold! This was literally the worst place we have ever stayed. I would sleep in my car before I go back here to stay here.

It was a nice hotel. Everyone was very friendly. There is a spa and a restaurant and all the amenities really. I feel like the room is a bit small and the hotel wasn't anything special When considering the price point. They do like to sneak on additional fees; charge you extra for decent Wi-Fi, charge you to use the hotel phone, even for local calls Etc. I feel this is normal for a nicer hotels though. The hotel is about 20 minutes (with no traffic) from the Mohegan Sun Casino, which is why I stayed there. The drive to the casino is less than straightforward though. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. You're not too far from the interstate. Good location.

Has the best Concierge Lounge I've been in for dinner. It's worth the upgrade. Let's just hope Marriott doesn't mess it up after they move to the M Club format.

Staff & masseuses at Red Door Spa are terrific. I can only comment on spa not hotel as I go 2x yr for massages. Massages are wonderful especially with the seasoned workers.

Easy to find, located right off the highway. Front desk staff are approachable & friendly. The loby is spacious with Starbucks & the onsite restaurant easy to spot.

2nd visit. Back again. Stayed in handicap room the bar came off the wall. Husband fell and hit his back and head in wall. Did not even take anything off if Bill. They fixed it fast. But now his back is sore. Ruff with MS.

Stayed here for a wedding. Attentive staff and very comfortable bed. Had 1-2 issues but they were eventually resolved.

The hotel was super clean. The beds and pillows are comfy. Everyone was friendly. It's in a good location. I have a few very minor complaints. The refrigerator was luke-warm. I'm not even sure what the point of that was. I wish that there were more hooks/places to hang towels in the bathroom. The pool area could have been ventilated a little better. Silly stuff. Everything was quite beautiful and I'm glad that we chose this location.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The conference rooms were great for a professional meeting. The catering was delicious and absolutely worth the experience.

Nice comfortable room. Got the corner room that easily sleeps 5. Service was good and have plenty to do with spa, fitness room and pool. Close to Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium.

The Hotel was extremely nice. Very clean, large, well appointed rooms. All the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I didn't like that the two bottles of water in the room cost $4.00 each. That's ridiculous. The Octagon restaurant gets 2 stars. My dinner of NY Strip Steak was delicious but my friend's steak had to be recooked twice so I was mostly finished eating before she even got her meal. Our breakfast the next day was terrible. The hash browns were not crispy (as described) and had no taste. The eggs were dry and hard. I would not order breakfast here again. I would definitely stay here again though because I loved the hotel and the convenience of the location.

My family and I had checked in on July 4, so we can bring kids to Mystic aquarium on second day. The package included the hot appetizer, dessert and breakfast, sounds nice, but I was upset at their service in the 6th floor's lounge. We had been there three times, never receive a greeting or eye contact with the lady who worked in there where only has few tables. She always showed behind me or having a long talk with other people or had sung a happy birthday song. The lounge has less than 10 tables, I felt terrible to be ignored intentionally. My husband and I don't want to interrupt her conversation with other in this quiet lounge BUT I knew she saw us and while she was talking about her master degree or saying good morning to other people. I hope this is not discrimination but her attitude only. What I know is I can 100% guarantee that I will not renew my Marriott's membership and return to this Hotel again.

What a beautiful place to stay! I was there for a conference in the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. The food was delicious! There is a Starbucks and red door spa locate in the hotel. The lobby is very comfortable. The casinos are 20 minutes away. FYI — The hotel is located all be itself. There is no place to walk to.

Had a nice meal with the family. Good bisque. Solid steak. A little overcooked.

We were guest on a wedding. We arrived early Friday morning for the rehearsal dinner. Check in time is 4:00 pm however we were allowed to checked in at 10:30 am the time we got there. For me that's an impressive accommodation and service. The staffs were polite, the lobby is very inviting. The wedding reception was great and so as our weekend. Kudos to Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa.

We were here for a dance competition. This was not the best place to hold it as they had a ballroom, not a stage. Concession prices from the hotel were quite expensing, but the Starbucks was convienient.

We came here to run a dance competition. Staff were very helpful, and promptly dealt with any requests we had for them. The event went very smoothly, and we plan on hosting more events here in the future. In terms of the actual hotel, accommodations were adequate, the hotel felt very clean, and the lounge/bar had some very nice food. I would recommend this to any friend looking for a place in the area!

Went to the bar for lunch. They were seriously understaffed. One person for the entire bar seating area. The entire process took way to long to get waited on, drinks served and food delivered.

I've been a few times, and even got married there. It's always clean, the staff is always respectful, helpful, and friendly.

The hotel is very nice; it is extremely clean and well maintained, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious. The restaurant and bar are nice, though slightly expensive. The location is convenient driving to many spots in Groton, New London, abd mystic, but you can't walk to any other spots. Also, cabs are sometimes hard to come by, so if you're looking to go out and not worry about driving home, this may not be your place.

Gorgeous hotel and spa with a full service Starbucks on site. I am disappointed in the front desk staff though. I called ahead to add my friend to the reservation so that she could check in immediately when she got there. Instead she was left standing around waiting for me because there was some "issue" that my card wouldn't go through without being physically swiped. The other completely unacceptable issue was that there was no warning that a hold was placed on my card for $100 over the cost of the room. The only reason that I even discovered this was that later that night I happened to notice a tiny sign at the OTHER END of the check-in counter stating that there would be an extra charge and that it would take up to TEN days to be refunded to my account. There were no apologies from the staff and they pretty much blew my concern off when I told them that I had not been notified of this upon check-in. Their flippant attitude angered me even more than the bogus charges.

Snafu with the reservation but they were able to accommodate at least part of my booking. Room was comfortable. Sheets don't fit bed and come untucked right away. Restaurant breakfast buffet was fine first morning and got worse each day; looked like same bacon and sausage on day 3. Staff was great. Dinner was great. Bar needs to be cleaned.
