My favorite place and the only place I want to stay when on Nantucket.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Amazing breakfast… especially the oatmeal. Our room was super relaxing and quiet. Love how you have books and chocolates EVERYWHERE!

This is a great establishment run by great people. Our host was incredibly nice and gracious and made us feel very welcomed from when we walked into her living room. Great location and the ability to walk into town with ease. Would recommend to anyone.

We came to the Century House for our honeymoon in 1991, and loved our experience there so much when it was time to celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2016 we went back. It was as lovely as we remembered. Our hosts, JeanE and Jerry couldn’t have been more kind and welcoming, the room just perfect, complete with champagne! And it was the same room from 25 years earlier! Perfection!

Paul's mother speaking. We loved Ms. Jean, Mr. O'Neil, and the rest for taking such good care of everyone. The food and accommodations were great. We loved the historic Inn. Was proud to be a part of a long line of guests starting in 1833.

I met my son here for a quick weekend get-away and we loved it! We had a private hallway with a bedroom and bathroom each. We loved the fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries in the mornings and the coffee and fabulous weather out on the porch all day long! The innkeeper and her sister were lovely and made it known that they were there should we need anything. The location was close to town and walkable. We had such a wonderful weekend and will definitely stay here again!

My 16 year old granddaughter and I had a wonderful visit at The Century House, the oldest B&B on Nantucket. The charming atmosphere was reinforced by the delightful owners who made our stay a memorable one. If looking for a peaceful escape back to years gone by, book a room there and Enjoy!

I want to say that after coming to Century House every summer for the past 10 years that it’s the highlight of my summer. Jean Ellen and Jerry go above and beyond in providing a beautiful and friendly environment. What’s truly unique about the Inn is all the amazing art that adorns the walls everywhere. The breakfast and company is second to none. I’m so blessed to have found such a great place to vacation!

What an Amazing stay! We have been coming to Nantucket every other year for 30 years… we have stayed in both B&B's, rented full houses, all have been great. However, Century House is truly everything we would envision traditional Nantucket to be. Thank you so much jeanE & Jerry for such a warm, family feeling experience. This past September my wife and I eagerly booked our 5 year anniversary stay at Century House. Unfortunately, a hurricane headed straight for the area and all ferries to the island were cancelled on the first of two nights we planned to stay. After explaining this situation to the innkeeper she asked if we could just book a plane instead. Although, I certainly know some folks who frequent the island may be able to hop on a private flight, that wasn’t an option for us. We asked if we could rebook for another weekend, not even asking them for a cash refund! We were told the only weekend we could rebook was the following weekend. Since we didn’t have childcare the following weekend, that was actually not possible. We pleaded with the innkeeper to be reasonable, but she took $900 from us and we got NOTHING. All because there was a hurricane that stopped all transportation to the island. Warning to all… think twice before ever staying here!

We eloped to Nantucket almost 20 years ago! June 8, 1998♡♡. And my hubby picked The Century House♡ we stayed in the "Sweet Pea " room outside at corner of the house. Loved it. Our favorite was the breakfast spread. Everything was perfect! We have promised to come back for our 5th, then 1 then 15th. And here we are 20 years in June we have committed to each other to spend our 20th anniversary back @ Century House. Can wait! ;

Great B&B, very close to the shops, restaurants Jetties Beach and Brant Point Lighthouse. Owners really care about their guests. Breakfast is fresh and home-made. Cozy, traditional Nantucket house.

If your idea of a good place to stay is great hospitality, convenience to local activities, fine dining, peaceful setting, relaxing buffet (homemade) breakfast on a comfortable wrap around porch or on the patio, then the Century House Inn is the place. Gerry and Jeanne are gracious innkeepers that maintain the character of a typical New England Inn. Would certainly recommend a visit.

This is a lovely historical house B&B. Jean was a friendly, gracious host who was very knowledgeable about the island. Breakfast was delicious, there was snacks/coffee/water available 24/7, and the rooms were comfy and simply authentic Nantucket. We will stay again.

Seemed average for a Nantucket B&B. The innkeeper was friendly and talkative at breakfast. The beds were poor and the rooms were small. The pillows and the textured, frilly pillowcases were downright awful.

We love it here! Our forth of hopefully many more stays at this charming B&B. Close to town, immaculately kept, and comfortable. And we adore our innkeeper Jeanie! Highly recommend. Xo. Ruthie & Rick.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and loved it. The hospitality was a above and beyond. The staff made us feel welcomed and at home, breakfast was great and snacks and drinks were available all day. We would highly recommend this place.

I've just returned from a weeks stay at the Century House and I miss it. The Inn keepers Jerry and JeanE give the start of every day a positive note over the most beautiful array of fresh fruits and berries, cheery checked table cloths, the smell of toasted bread and scrumptious oatmeal (really). After long walks on the beaches or town, I would return to a cozy and comfortable common room with friends. Coffee and tea, cold drinks and fresh baked cookies always awaited us. There was never an unwanted intrusion. It was like being transported into a clean and beautifully furnished home keep by invisible elves. The bedrooms are all different. They are beautifully decorated in an eclectic and tasteful style. They come equipped with all one would need. This is truly a special place and I recommend it highly. JeanE and Jerry have created an atmosphere of calm but casual elegance that is palatable as soon as their threshold is crossed.

The inn is a cozy place, fun and quirky. That said, the service did not make one feel warm and cozy. Honestly, we found the service to be somewhat cold and inhospitable. We identified a problem with our billing and the service turned completely rude at that point. We will not stay there again nor recommend it to any friends or family.

Spent our honeymoon, our 10th and 20th and will be going back this year. Love the fact that this inn is still Nantucket-like, homey, close to town, and absolutely beautifully decorated but not frilly. It is family run and we like the attention to detail. The rooms are very clean, private and luxurious. The staff is great.

We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this place to any of my friends and family. It is ery quaint, quiet, and beautifully renovated. We prefer bed and breakfasts to hotels so we chose this one mainly because it is a historic inn and it was not exactly located in town, which it is important in Nantucket in the middle of the summer. The breakfast is really delicious; was surprised how many people actually eat breakfast every day. We would love to return next summer.

We finally made it to this faraway island. Perfect weather during our October getaway, a six day bliss. We stayed here (Century House), a luxury bed and breakfast on Cliff Road, a beautiful historic building from the 1800, cobblestone streets surrounded with great views. What a pleasant, breathtaking fall destination! The rooms are decorated with paintings of Nantucket, antique furniture and plenty of books. We even met some of the artists painting there. The location is great for walking or simply sitting on the porch to relax. On foggy days we loved the homemade baked chocolate chip cookies. Fantastic staff and an awesome breakfast! I highly recommended this place.
