Nice, clean and big room Very friendly staff.

This hotel is very out dated, very dark. The elevators are not clean in any way. Worst part, listened to room next door have relations on 3 separate occasions, beeping of microwave and slamming of fridge doors. If you enjoy clean, quiet room then this place is NOT IT! Husband is diamond member and I'm sorry he wasted a booking on this place.

It was clean. The shower has great pressure and stays hot for a long time!

I stayed at this property for 4 nights while visiting Boston for the first time and enjoyed my stay. The entire front desk staff was very polite and helpful, especially Touriya (lady from Casablanca, Morocco). The location is the best as it’s right next to the Tufts Medical Center subway station (orange line) and you can easily walk to Chinatown. Along with Starbucks in the hotel on the ground floor. I recommend!

Inexperienced staff, no Wi-Fi. When I stay at a hotel I expect to be able to connect to the internet for free. The cookies were good though.

Recently stayed at DoubleTree Boston Downtown for a work trip. The room was extremely spacious and was super comfortable! The dining in the hotel restaurant was top notch as well. Would recommend and return in the future.

Can’t say enough about the customer service. Everyone was great, Ryan is truly a stand out and certainly was exceptional! The personal touch of being greeted at 3am after working in an unfamiliar city is something I very rarely every see in my weekly travels. I truly appreciated that here.

We have spend 2 nights at this hotel after travelling from the uk to spend 3 weeks touring parts of US. Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and Very Helpful — We had quit a huge hiccup and left our whole entire holiday money in the room safe, only realised after we had check in and gone through security to carry on our holiday. Frantically we were trying to find away to get our money back or our holiday would of been over. Managed to get through to the hotel and they checked the room, sent a taxi to the airport with our cash — Thank you once again not only have you gone the extra mile you have saved the day. We caught our flight and the holiday will continue. Lessons learnt.

Horrible customer service! It started at check-in. Couldn’t find my reservation and basically blamed it on me for not taking a confirmation number and their associate spelled my name incorrectly! But my fault! The woman at the desk hung up on me when I called front desk to request the room I actually booked. Service was horrible! The customer service manager Neil was screaming at my husband on the phone! Horrible experience! My favorite city just let us down big time!

Love being right in the heart of downtown Boston. And also a 1 block walk to Chinatown! Super awesome food nearby! Great bars and lounges also within walking distance. ️

Great hotel in Boston, near Chinatown and the Theatre District. Just a short walk from the Boston Public Garden and Boston Commons as well as easy access to pretty much anywhere in Boston. Parking is a bit pricey and the hotel has a bit of an odd layout, but overall a great experience. Very helpful staff who responded quickly to any questions.

Lovely rooms and hotel in all. Oddly enough almost ever floors ice machine was broken so we had to go on a trek to find the one that wasn't broken. They also gave us fresh warm cookies when we checked in which was a nice touch. Great location as well, close to so much.

Dreary carpets and wall covering in the hallways. Problems with TV were fixed. No refrigerator in room. Expensive, but typical for Boston. 20 oz. Soft drink is $4.50 at the desk. The same drink in a machine says $3.00, but when you use a card you are charged $4.00. Breakfast is $20.00. Beds are comfortable and room is clean.

Terrible experience. Had a reservation and had to cancel with over 50 hours notice. Charged my CC $135 without authorization and Reservations Manager refused to make it right. VMs left for GM still not returned. Hilton Honours Gold member here at that. Might have to take this to Hilton.

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! The floors weren’t level which was odd. But still definitely a 5/5! Fresh warm cookies at check in, a social bar, great location and the room was absolutely perfect. They provide complimentary toiletries like any respectable 4 star hotel should.

I wasn't overly impressed. The room was laid out poorly, my husband smacked into a partial wall twice on his way out of the bathroom. A false emergency alarm was called and while we were thanked for our vigilance no one apologized for interrupting everyone sleeping. And when I forgot my charger and called to see if it had been found I was placed on hold for half an hour before hanging up to call back — only to be told they'd retrieved it and brought it to the desk 15 minutes before but no one thought to pick the line up off hold. And then, to top it off, they require you to pay shipping for the return of the item. Probably wouldn't stay there again. I'd rather pay more to stay somewhere with good customer service.

The room was fine but Hilton should be embarrassed by the shabbiness of some common areas & the dark decor of the lobby. And walking across the roof to the Y fitness center? Just reminds me of years past when Doubletree in general was hit or miss. Disappointing.

Hotel was clean. Location was next to a hospital with lots of people hanging out on the streets. We had the room next door to us partying all night long. We had 2 kids in our room and little sleep. We did complain to the front desk and they gave us some Hilton Honors points. Once I got home I realized the hotel had charged my credit card twice. Have called but apparently there is only 1 person who can fix this and her voicemail is saying she is out of the office. No one else was willing to listen or even try to help me. I would pay the extra money and stay somewhere else next time.

The only good thing I can say about my stay was the cookies were good. Room service was awful, left trash and dirty dishes In The room many times. Did not give enough shampoo etc had to call many times to be brought these things. Very Noisy room. My daughters stuffed animal was taken from the room. In addition went to the front desk to complain many times with no solution or help. Said they would at least take off a charge from room service and did not even do that. I will never stay at this property again. I used this hotel for the medical rate but not worth the stress that it caused. Very disappointing that I have to take my child to see a heart Dr. And the hotel was more stressful and upsetting.

This place is by far the friendliest and best hotel ever. All the staff goes out of their way to give you GREAT customer service. Very professional, clean and helpful. They make you feel welcomed always. Ask for the cookies!

The Double Tree was in a great location near the underground metro train station easy to access different parts of town. The Boston Common park was within walking distance. I was able set up a reasonable Lyft if I did not feel like using a metro or walking. The great thing about the hotel is I had access to a nice 24hr fitness room with bike, elliptical, treadmill, weights, nautical fitness machine, exercise ball, and medicine balls. And, that did not work then you had had access to YMCA next door which has everything. They have a wonderful waiting wait staff and the restaurant food was great and reasonably priced. I would definitely consider going back.

Stay started out pretty rough as our reservation for triple occupancy turned out to be a single King bed with no roll aways or pull outs. After bringing our predicament to the front desk we were exceptionally helped by Ryan who found us much better arrangements. Thanks, Ryan. You're a blessing. Other things of note, cozy lobby space with nice soft seating. Starbucks connected to the lobby was currently under renovation during our stay but would make for a nice accommodation.

Very large room of older age. Bed was good and cleaning done properly. Staff was very friendly. The locations is close to one of the best in downtown. Only 5 mins from downtown and about 20 to the Back Bay area, which is a perfect walking distance. Also, the Boston common is very close by (Park).

Easy and fast check in! Clean beautiful comfy room that was spacious! Quiet and relaxing! Definitely will stay here again, easy walk to all the sights!

I liked the ambiance, location (across from Tufts Med Ctr, Theatre Dist) and only 5 blocks from Downtown Crossing, The Commons and almost everything. The food here was very good. All Hilton Properties have great Buffets for Breakfast, the servers are what made this one stand out. On the other hand the front desk staff needs a Lil attention… when there's 3 attendants on duty and you stand for 3-4 minutes without being recognized it needs work. Just my opinon. All I all a great stay!

Stayed before. Nice rooms and good hospitality. Only thing I didn’t like was the front desk was provoking me about my card authorization when my bank spoke to them they told them it was pending and since the (front desk) told me it doesn’t charged (only authorized) I’m quite confused on why they were giving me such an issue however my bank assured them the authorization would eventually settle. I don’t know why they were unprofessional/bit rude about a payment when it was (authorized only until check out day) which was the day after. I will probably not stay at the double tree again I’m also a gold star Hilton honors member this was the most by far uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had inside of a Hilton hotel.

Older as anything in Boston, but nice. Reception is on second floor, so as soon as you enter head right to the elevator if you got bags. Nobody will be helping you. Rooms good, bathrooms good. Staff is friendly. Parking is ridiculous, you better off with Spothero app. 200 Stuart garage is not far if you can’t get parking on Washington. 5 minute brisk walk away. Starbucks is next door.

Great location and great hotel… Although I would not spend extra for the city view next time. The parking is the tricky part. If you can find a spot to park cheap and close, then it is a great place to stay.

This hotel might not have the best view from the hotel room windows but it could not be located in a better place of the city. If in need for a hospital, Tufts Medical Center is located directly across the street (seeing distance). If it is entertainment you seek, there are friendly bars and a few nightclubs to pass the night away. Many cuisines are located a short walk away from the hotel (5-10 minute walk). Boston's Chinatown setting welcomes you as you make your way into the Downtown area and whether it is to shop or to visit historic sites and structures, DoubleTree Boston hotel is perfectly placed for all endeavors.

The hotel is located in the centre of Boston. The harbour and the theatre district are just around the corner. The hotel has modern rooms with comfortable beds! Every employee was super friendly to Us.
Why only 4 stars when everything was top? A free car park is in vain for Boston. A public parking garage requires Saturday and Sunday $10 per day, otherwise it was approximately $25 per hour during the Week. So we had no choice but to take advantage of the Hotel's valet parking (52 $/night).

It is located 2 blocks from Chinatown, the attention I found good and at the counter can ask for someone who speaks Castilian.

Very convenient being next to a subway stop. Lots of great food around in Chinatown and only a little further for the rest of Boston. The hotel staff were very pleasant. Room was clean and spacious. The fire alarm went off at 3am that night. But otherwise the experience was great.

Location is great. I like the 1.4 mile walk to the convention center. The room is huge and the front desk was very nice to me. I came in long before check in and I was able to sign up for Hilton Honors to get access to my room early. Would definitely stay here again. Will be trying out the ffitness center next.

The Doubletree is in a fabulous location if you want to explore the wonders of downtown Boston. When we checked in the nice person at the attendants desk was knowledgeable and helpful. She gave us freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. What a nice touch. Again when we got back to the hotel after a day of walking the city we were given more cookies. Very delicious! The pillows are very comfortable as are the beds. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. It is also extremely close to the train station so it's easy to get here without driving.

Service wise wasn't bad. There was one person at the front desk when I was last inside the hotel. She asked if I need help. She gave me directions. Simple and direct which is good. I was there for an event for work. I also notice that there was a lounge area but did not get a chance to sit and use. I wouldn't mind going back here for another work event.

It is more expensive because it is with the Double Tree by Hilton which used to be ritzy in the 1980s. I am tired of the riggameroll waiting in line and might even do the app. Surprised it is kind of dirty because it is next to Chinatown and Chinatown smells like the gutter. With rats from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Danishes here look really unappetizing. Has anyone noticed how it don't seem so good. I think we can just change the act people. In general. Hear my British Accent because I have connections with music producers. And I am gonna get famous and tell Boston which way is up.

Very good food. The rooms were comfortable enough, there was nothing to complain about. But the food blew me away. The bacon and hot chocolate in the morning, the sandwiches for lunch, and the macaroni cheese and steak for dinner made this hotel stand out as one of the best I've been to…

Our stay here was accidental (hard time booking with concurrent lgbt events) but in the end, worked out well! It's close to the orange line stop at tufts, very welcoming, and use a txt-concierge service! All that plus a warm cookie when you check in.

The hotel staff is very friendly and truly works to make your stay the best it can be. The cons are there are only showers, no bathtubs. Our room has an odd situation where the window views a storage room with a window in the far distance (15 ft) to a view of outside. I'm sure our hotel staff selected this room for us with good intentions. At first we thought it was a negative, but had we had a view of the front of the hotel, there is Tufts medical across the street and ambulances can blaze past. We have a child with us, so our room was wonderfully quiet. Pros: If we asked for anything extra, they were prompt and generous. Asked for some extra coffee creamer and received a little bag full of creamers, and other similiar requests. We were also given an extra large room which was great to have with as child. Lastly the location is perfect. Right in heart of Boston. Right next to orange line stop and buses. Chinatown, Boston commons, and many great restraints are a 10 min items walk or less away.

The DoubleTree is conveniently located across the street from Tufts and a short walk from Chinatown. The staff was friendly and the building and rooms were well maintained. We had a room with 2 double beds which were fine, and the bathroom was quite nice. My only complaint was that the internet was slow at times, though the hotel was fully booked for a gaming convention so it may be atypical. Overall I would stay here again.

Location was right in Boston near a lot of restaurants and other things to do. The rooms were priced reasonably and were very nice. The only downside was the parking was valet only and was very expensive so I ended up parking onin a nearby lot which was a very close walk. Over all a good experience.

It is a clean, nice hotel. A bit pricey but the overall campus is well kept and the staff are pleasant to talk too. I have stayed here more than once and have no problems recommending it.

If any of you guys are looking for dirt cheap hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. Our family was in Boston for the Marathon. Enjoyed the decorations, refreshments for the runners and table for making signs — all in celebration of the Marathon. The wait staff in the restaurant was great in trying to accommodate everyone for breakfast. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Good job!

I'm a Hilton Hhonors member. Terrible customer service. Staff was not accommodating. I'm not impressed with my Hilton experiences so far. Especially not with this place.

Rude staff, horrible customer service, they treat Diamond/Elite members like garbage, all the usual amenities were forgotten about and I had to prompt them for all the perks that I was otherwise entitled too, front desk was also very rude to my wife on the phone about an issue we had that THEY had to fix. Also, no pool (expected from an old converted building) — the YMCA pool is a lap pool only, no hot tub, elevators are crap too, wait staff wasn't the best either. If you're a regular joe looking for a nice room and expect nothing else, stay here by all means. If you're a Hilton brand regular with status, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, they don't deserve your patronage or lower your expectations A LOT.

This past weekend my friends & I booked two hotel rooms at DoubleTree. Within an hour of checking in we got on the elevator to get to our dinner reservations. As the 9 of us got on (at the 6th floor), we had just passed the 2nd floor when the elevator suddenly stopped. We called the front desk and they said they would send maintenance in to take a look. Meanwhile, two of the people with us are claustrophobic and urgently needed to make it out of the elevator. My sister laid on the ground shaking and the advice we were told over the phone was "just tell her to breathe. " Maintenance told us to push on the doors and it would open easily, but it wouldn't budge. Finally, the fire department came and they discovered that the cable to allow the doors to open was never switched off and after nearly an HOUR of being stuck in the elevator we were finally let out. The worst part of it all was that Sean, the manager, simply handed us water bottles and told us to move along. We had noticed that the inspection sticker in the elevator was expired and when we asked him about it he said, "I know. That's fine. " We had also noticed that the weight limit was 2, 500 lbs and with 9 girls we were still very much under the limit. When we asked Sean why we got stuck he said "The maximum amount of people the elevator can take is 8, and you have 9. The elevator has sensors that can detect when more than 8 people get on. There's a sign there so you should have read it.

One of the loveliest hotel experiences I've ever had. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Lobby is beautiful. You are two blocks from Chinatown, in the heart of the theater district and four blocks from Boston Commons. Staff gave us a complimentary bottle if wine for my mother's birthday and happily accommodated any needs we had. Five stars, for sure.

Great view from the room. Environment was nice, except for a very loud band playing on Saturday night that could be heard throughout the hotel. It was so loud I couldn't hear the TV in my room.

Plain and simple — Ghetto! They treat Diamond Hilton Honor members poorly, and the gym (which is the YMCA) is even worse. Avoid it at all costs. 1st time in Boston = rookie mistake.

Standard doubletree, nothing particularly fancy about the hotel, but it perfectly met my needs. There is also a Starbucks in the building — so very convenient. The rooms are fairly large. Convenient location, near the train station.

You get what you pay. Excellent price/value ratio. Maybe furniture isn't quality, but the pace is close to everything in Boston and if you are going to visit the city and just use the hotel for a roof. This is the best choice.
