Our stay at Unit 5 East Springfield in the South End was not only EXACTLY as it was described to us over the phone and internet, but exceeded all of our expectations. We only stay at high-end hotels, have elevated standards (and I'm a total clean freak) and we were pleasantly surprised. This was our first experience staying in a "non-hotel", but we were here for 10 days to visit our kids in school. We chose Short Term Rentals over Airbnb or VRBO because we didn't want to live in someone else's house with clutter and "things". We wanted a clean, hotel-feel in a rental property, in a cozy, at-home setting. Scott, my point person, was especially helpful and receptive. I needed a few minor items addressed and he responded immediately and was a pleasure to work with. The roof-top deck with bar-b-que grill was well worth the couple of flights of stairs! I can't wait to book our next stay with Short Term Rentals and maybe even try another property and get to learn a new neighborhood in Boston. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They do not answer any of the phones they list for assistance and are as unhelpful as can be. I tried to call and finallly emailed about furniture that was coming off the wall. Got an email saying that maintainance had been notified — they never came. I forgot personal keys on the kitchen counter as I left, told them immediately about it, before the cleaners had arrived, and asked that they mail them to me. They never did. The apartment is tiny, it's listed as 45 square meters but can't be more than 30 and cheaply furnished with IKEA furniture. There were towels for 2 guests but we were 4 and had booked it for 4. Found bath towels in a cabinet by the front door and had to make do with that. The walls are very thin and we could listen to converstions in the next apt. And were kept awake by people upstairs as they opened and closed drawers. For this we paid $249 / €220 per night. Definintely NOT worth it. We would, and have, paid for equivalent apartment €80 — €90 in Paris 5th, the Latin Quarter and Berlin Mitte. Edit: My call and email records show that I did reach out during buisiness hours. You simply didn't answers any of the phones you listed. As I stated in one of my emails to you: "Dealing with customers is part of the business you are in and your reluctance to address this is very troubling.

This company was an absolute nightmare to deal with. I am still battling with them over charges made on my account. Upon "booking" an apartment, I was asked my credit card info, charged immediately for a room I thought I was booking only to receive an email saying that if the property was available for the dates I wanted then I would be contacted within 24 hours, otherwise I'd be refunded. Might just be me, but I was not too happy with how they made me pay first and confirm supposedly within 24 hours. I tried to call the company to speak to someone to find out sooner if the rental would be available. It was a last minute booking and I did not have much time to waste. I called every number I could find on their website, left voicemails and no one called me back until the following afternoon. Well over 24 hours later. I tried cancelling, they charged me twice, refunded, charged me again. They were impossible to get ahold of throughout this entire experience. Definitely will not deal with them ever again.
