I love this place and make sure to visit it every time I am in Boston. It's a great place to have picnics and spend weekends with families and friends and just laying on the grass and playing some fun games. Food trucks and food stalls are available in plenty here, so one doesn't need to worry about carrying food. There are plenty of food joints across the street as well. The greenery within the park is amazing and it feels so calm and quiet here, even though it's located right in the middle of the city and along a busy road.

Boston Common is a 50 acre city park that makes for a nice place to visit for those seeking open and leisure places in Boston. In addition to a pavilion, fountain, monuments, pond, kiosk and visitor centre, there is plenty of green space to be enjoyed here. Opening in 1634, this is the oldest public park in America. It is also the starting point for Boston's Freedom Trail, which takes visitors to many of the city's most important historical attractions and helps visitors build up a better understanding of early American history, particularly the events which led up to the American Revolution. Tip: We visited the Boston Common during mid-Autumn and greatly enjoyed seeing some of the trees beginning to change colours. A few bright yellows and reds made for lovely viewing. I imagine the park will be even better in early November once the rest of the leaves begin to turn. Tip: Located just west of the Boston Common, past Charles Street, is the Boston Public Garden, which is equally enjoyable to visit. This is another well landscaped area with more monuments, lovely trees and plenty of park benches for visitors to find and have a rest. For those who visit Boston and enjoy seeing city parks, it is well worth planning a bit of time here at Boston Common. For convenient stops, it makes sense to spend time here at the beginning or the end of your Freedom Trail tour depending on which direction you are going on the trail.

It's like a kind of transition to the Public Garden. Close to the metro and civilization lines. More economical to take food to McDonald's, which is located nearby and go to the grass for the rest.

A great place to relax and take a walk in the city centre.

The park is very large, clean, beautiful, well-groomed, crowded, with ducks, a large clean pond, soft lawns, places to relax.

It's a fun park though I wish there were more trees. Yankee parks are a bit too civilized for my taste, but I still enjoyed my time walking through this one. Lots of monuments.

Boston Common what can I say it is an amazing park, with so much to and a giant parking garage underneath. Lots of food options nearby, movie theater right arts and entertainment district one block away. Fantastic cigar shop right there. Edgar Allen Poe statue right across the street swan boats in the Garden. It is a great place for your Boston adventure to start, end or all on its own.

Walk for Hunger was great despite grey weather. Project Bread always does a fantastic job with organization and support. Start early for best experience. Walk on side walks to enjoy the best gardens.

To visit the monuments just follow the red line of bricks. Very convenient and this does very well on foot.

Fabulous open public space. Full spring blooms and this will look amazing. Great walking through here or just sitting on the benches dotted around the park. Just love it here!

This is a great park for kids, family, couples and anyone looking for relaxation. The park has a laid back feel even though it's very close to downtown Boston. Plenty of hustle and bustle are happening on the streets surrounding the park; however the park itself is super peaceful.

The squirrels here are far too friendly. I have seen one enter a backpack, remove an apple, and flee entirely with it. The park itself is massive in scale and beautiful. A monument to American history both good and horrible. Great food and sights abound.

Nice place, clean, lots of people exercising, walking dogs and many squirrels playing around, Q thing is no longer very common to see in other parts of the world.

Unfortunately in winter quite unspectacular.

We visited the Frog Pond with my kid. She had loads of fun skating there. The 1hr support seal was good to begin with. Eventually she became more confident to do it without it. It was quite cold in the afternoon, so dress warm. It also has a Tadpole park attached with lots of swings & slides, a treat for kids. Overall, good experience!

Boston common is one of the places everyone should visit sometime. My last trip was skating at the frog pond. My family loved it! However, I remember many a first night celebration wandering among the ice sculptures. Or just strolling through on a warm day. I highly recommend spending some time here.

The park is really nice and quite big! It is also great in the city, so you can really get there from anywhere. The squirrels are of course a great spectacle, as they also want to come very close and eat. In winter there is also an ice-skating ring built However, this is quite expensive and relatively small. There is also a playground for children. But even more beautiful is a little further west of the public garden!

Nice park in downtown Boston! Meeting place and landmark in your visit to this beautiful city, in winter there is ice skating rink! Games for children, trees and historical monuments. Recommended to spend a nice afternoon. The entrance is free of charge and is located in front of the Beacon Hill district.

Beautiful park to stroll through. During the Christmas season there is an ice rink and a large illuminated Christmas tree.

Beautiful Park! Maintained well. Inside there is also a playground for the children surrounded, so the children can play in safety. In Winter There is a beautiful skating rink.

I was struck by the sign on the inside: fine for smokers, those who drink and those who disturb.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! I stayed here one night with a few friends before we had to leave. The staff is exceptionally rude, the rooms are tiny as well as completely filthy, the bathroom shower was covered in soap scum and mold, and one of my friends that put his clothes in the dresser got COVERED in hives and bug bites. He went to the doctor when we got home and they said he could have died from the severity of it. We drove around for hours trying to find a place to stay. I'm still trying to email the manager a month later about getting the full refund I was told I was going to get. She takes two weeks at a time to reply to a simple email. She was quick to email me the night we left at 1 in the morning. EXTREMELY unprofessional. Do not waste your money.

Absolutely disgusting rooms. My coworker and I stayed here one night and had to switch to a different hotel. I strongly advise staying away from this one. The only positives are location and the front desk staff were super awesome.

The price and location can't be beat. The rooms on the other hand do leave a bit to be desired, being dated, a bit small, and could use some more maintenance/repairs. The tiles on the bathroom were in poor condition, the caulking was mildewed and peeling away, and the toilet was a bit leaky. The bed felt quite old (sank in the middle) and the room was quite noisy. If you're just looking for a place to sleep that is affordable and central, it's still a great choice.

This place is so run down, sweet Jesus you don't even get what you pay for. There is no breakfast, they got rid of it. Staff isn't especially helpful, parking is $30 bucks per 24 hours. Good location is where it ends. It's filthy, they hardly clean, lights switches don't work. How is this place still open? No refrigerators, no microwaves, a little ice bucket and some vending machines. This place sucks. I'd spend a couple bucks extra just to get away from this dump.

I read reviews for this place before booking and had reason for concern. My room met my expectations but was by no means unacceptable. This is an affordable option in a good part of the city. No frills. Don't plan on having Wi-Fi in your room.

Loved the location. All the sights and attractions of Boston were within waling distance of our hotel. We were very pleased with the hotel as a whole. Our room and bathroom were clean and fully stocked. The staff was courteous and always had a smile of their faces. We had no issues during our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and affordable place to stay at while visiting Boston.

Good location and that's where it ends. Old, outdated, poorly maintained, and lacks any amenities. Woke up to road construction at 5 am on the 8th floor. No gym, bar, and barely a continental breakfast. Small rooms and very dirty/dingy feeling. The Wi-Fi was a joke and only worked in one corner of the room. Thank god it was only for a night and I still paid 250. Never again.

Wow, I'm seriously disgusted. Mold in the shower, dust all over the furniture and corners as if it hasn't been cleaned in months, HANGING dust bunnies blowing from the vents. It's delapidated, low quality, and unfriendly. The staff seems as though they'd rather not be here and can't wait to get off their shift. They don't engage at all with guests, only with each other. It's like we're not even here. I'm dismayed that I spent $200 a night and I'm really in a low-budget-looking/feeling, unkempt, BELOW low-quality place. I've seen crackhouses that look better than this room. I'm showering at the local gym just to feel like I'm not going to touch this shower mold or slipping on the soap scum. I feel disgusting and unwelcome.
