Clean and comfy. Friendly staff!

This hotel was a perfect place to stay with our little girl. The suites we perfectly priced and large. Everyone was very kind!

Staff is great. Valets are always professional. Clean lobby. Beau and Aaron and the rest of the front desk staff provide a welcoming experience. Sloan runs a great bar. Thanks for letting us pop by with our dog.

Spent the weekend of august 26th there. Polite staff, great rooms, definitely worth the price! Quiet for the old port, and the view was incredible.

My wife and I have stayed here multiple times over the years and I must say it has always been a fantastic stay. The food is great and the staff is even greater. The restaurant manager Kelly is always on top of everything making sure everyone is taken care of. Great place to stay in Portland!

We had a very nice stay here. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. Parking in Portland seems crazy so having valet (who were very efficient) was a plus. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was also good and reasonably priced. Minus one star because we are a family of 4 and we always get 3 towels and have to get more daily. This seems to be an issue at every Hilton we stay at. Also, Google tool is to Fore St which is the back of the hotel but the entrance is actually on Commercial St.

Great hotel with an EV charger. Even the valet isn't scared to charge your car like some hotels.

It's nice. I hate to pay for parking, however. The staff is all very friendly and helpful.

Valet parking is nice because downtown parking is scarce. Breakfast is good and rooms are very clean and nice.

I am Hilton status member and I felt like hospitality was great because they treat me almost like family or friend. The front desk staff had great personalities and were very helpful when needed sssistance. This was only small part of why I like the hotel. The location of hotel and my room made huge difference to my stay. The hotel was located right across from the Wharf and Portland Harbor. And, because I was on the third floor of the hotel, I was able to take some beautiful photo shots of the sunrise, Harbor and Wharf. I traveled by Lyft or I just walked around for transportation even though the hotel offered shuttle service to local places near the hotel. The Lyft services were not badly priced but cheaper than cabs and easy to work with. Drivers have great personalities and I was comfortable with there driving. I definitely go back to Hilton Garden inn downtown Waterfront.

Nice rooms and great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that our rooms were not ready until after 4pm.

Location was very convenient to all shops bars and restaurants they were within walking distance. The room was spacious and mostly clean we did ask them to change the comforters because one looked like it hadn't been changed since the last use. The staff was very friendly and kind.

Be careful if you're booking here for business — In good faith, I prepaid an evening this month for a meeting in town. Two days prior my client had to reschedule to February which I was more than happy accommodate because, well, that's what you do for good customers unlike the HGI did for me. I asked them if I could push the stay to the February date my client needed and they flat out said I had to eat the $149 I paid for the night and they would not reschedule me. Sorry HGI Portland, you will no longer receive my business going forward. This is bad business, period.

Hallways smelled clean. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were terrible, but they are like that at all Hilton locations. Staff was very nice, and breakfast was good. Parking is expensive at $25 for the night. I went on a weekday so I'm not sure if the parking price is static or changes on the weekend.

One of my favorite Hilton brands, smaller and better located than most Hilton properties. This one is no exception, right on the waterfront in easy walking distance of many places.

Nice rooms. And very friendly people working here. Prices for the rooms were pretty decent. And the hostess in the restaurant has a great sense of humor. Very close to all the night life.

Great location, exactly what you expect from the Hilton Garden In brand for rooms. Bar and Restaurant leaves a lot to be desired (from the looks of it). All and all a great place to lay your head between eating and drinking or otherwise seeing Portland, ME.

My favorite hotel to stay at in Portland. Conveniently located to the Old Port and walking distance to the water. The food around the hotel is wonderful and definitely worth venturing out for but if you’re in the mood for a quick bite in house you won’t be disappointed. The rooms are clean have beautiful views and Portland is a wonderful city! Go and have a wonderful time! The nightlife is great but just as much fun during the day!

Great place to stay! Everything is easy walking distance even with my slight handicap and a cane. The staff was outstanding and the rooms were very nice.

Nice hotel in a great location. Right across from the ferry to Peaks Island. Lots of good restaurants nearby and parking. Be sure to eat some lobster rolls at Eventide. It is within walking distance. Go early because it gets crowded.

Spent the weekend their for a bachelorette party and it was nice. Nothing fancy. What I am more aggravated with is the fact that I left a pair of shoes in the room and when I got home I realized they were kicked under the bed the night before we left (totally my fault). When I called the hotel they said they were found and that they could ship them to me if I paid for the shipping, cool right? WRONG! After calling several times wondering where my shoes were they end up telling me that in fact they were never found! After me calling about 5 times because no one ever got back to me, that's all you have to say?! Yes it was my fault for misplacing them but really? After a month of waiting now you want to tell me they were never found? I wouldn't even care if they told me that they never found them from the beginning but to be told that they were in fact found and had to chase them around to figure out where they were was the infuriating.

Wonderful… checked in late, staff was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Room is comfortable. Showed up just a few minutes before they stopped serving breakfast and staff was welcoming and inviting.

Not a Hilton guy, but this place is my favorite place to stay in Portland. Amazing views, great staff, awesome breakfast buffet. Absolute perfect location for shopping, restaurants and walks along the bay.

Wonderful location, right off the waterfront and steps away from lively Fore street. Well appointed room, with everything expect. There was a jazz combo playing in the lobby lounge Wednesday night. Nice.

Very well located next to pier, restaurants and shopping​ with easy access. Our room was clean with a good view of the harbor and service was friendly and as well as efficient. The breakfast buffet was adequate and also with friendly service. This is definitely one of the better Hilton Garden Inn's in which we have stayed.

My family and I ate dinner in the lounge. The food was really good and the area is clean and well decorated. What I didn't like is that there are tables for just two. The service was a little slow. Two women got up and left during our sitting because they were not happy with the service either. Just a bit more attention would help a lot.

The rooms were amazing-with nice beds and a fancy bathroom, the place already deserved a 5/5. But that's not all: The location is wonderful-On the corner of Commercial and Route 1, and on the waterfront, and also near attractions such as the Portland Science Center and the DiMillo's Gift Shop, it just is crazy that they got a place like this. And finally, the service and facilities are exceptional — the staff was very nice when I told them I lost my key, and the pool and hot tub with the view is just awesome. Overall, I give this hotel a 6/5. You just can't see the extra star.

Great hotel, especially for dog owners. I recently stayed here two nights and had difficulties in finding a nice hotel that allowed a decent sized dog. This hotel exceeded my expectations and the staff were very friendly with my German Shepherd. We stayed on the 6th floor, the view was nice and the room was large with a pullout sofa. You'll be close to a ton of restaurants and bars if you like the nightlife. I recommend the Irish pub almost directly across the street, the breakfast is awesome and you will get delicious omelettes made to order.

My friends and I decided to try out the breakfast buffet. It was a great price for the quality. They claim to serve croissants by Standard Baling Co. However they ran out early. The eggs and omelettes are made to order and were excellent. They removed the pineapples in the middle of breakfast. Not sure why because it was over half full, and it never returned. The atmosphere is laid back.

Setting is beautiful; staff is very welcoming and professional; hotel is lovely.

The room with the king size bed was great and the service was wonderful. Third time going there and will go again.

Booked one of the conference rooms for a company meeting. We were served some amazing sandwiches for lunch as well as soup and salad with drinks and cookies. The staff was exceptionally polite and professional. The hotel is also conveniently located nearby all the great places in downtown Portland.

Hotel is very nice and within walking distance to the strip with restaurants and shops. Rooms are clean. Highly recommend!

I wanted a place to crash so I didn't have to make the 45 min ride home. I happened to land here and I couldn't be happier! The room is huge! It's very clean. I have a coffee machine that isn't terrifying. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back!

Best spot to stay on the waterfront.

I thought all of the staff were extremely kind and professional. My room was nearly $400 but it was worth it to not have to cab it to the bars! I would absolutely recommend this hotel, it was very pleasant experience!

Best hotel staff in Portland.

• I was disappointed to see that for 260.00 a night with a two night minimum I received a lovely view of the brick wall of the adjacent building. • While staying at the hotel our room ran out of towels the first night, and tissue paper the next day. • And of course to top it off we were charged parking when we didn't use valet parking. $15.00 a day. Ice machine broke, soda machine broke. Rude staff. Skip this hotel.

The Staff here is Extremely rude and Unprofessional.

The large window in your room is a perfect view for anyone walking by on the street and the beds were not amazing. Besides that this place was great we ate breakfast here three days friendly service and great food. Coffee is a little strong for some so beware but great place overall.

Staff was somewhat short and not very helpful.
