Charming decor, great staff, fabulous breakfasts!

We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner. The restaurant is very intimate and charming. Food was impeccable.

Super sweet Inn with the most delightful hosts & hostess of all times. The location is supreme, the rooms cozy as all get out, but far and away the best part of the Black Boar Inn experience was meeting Claudine, Queen Bee of the Inn. Claudine is one of those rare individuals that just beams light into the world. She attends to all the important details and then some to give each guest a special individual experience, and does it all in her calm, cool, enjoyable style. This just became our favorite place to stay in Ogunquit.

Love the historical aspect of this beautiful inn. A must stay when visiting Ogunquit.

This is my favorite bed and breakfast we go at least twice a year. Once in the summer and for Christmas by the Sea. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. I feel right at home there.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time staying here. The staff are great and the stay came with breakfast every morning, which was always delicious. Close to beach and town so that you can walk everywhere. On a rainy day there is a great, comfortable community living room. This place is also LGBTQ friendly, a major bonus.

Exceptional Bed & Breakfast with a rich history. It's in town and very close to all of the restaurants and shops, but is balanced with a peaceful New England serenity. The rooms are quaint, spacious, very clean, and very well maintained. The breakfast is made up of a wonderful variety of locally grown produce, breads, and meat. There is an exceptional bakery and coffee shop as well as a drug store right across the street. Local transportation through the use of the trolley allows access to all of the major sights. The owner is very knowledgable about the local history, best places to go and visit, as is able to book a variety of tours for your personal enjoyment. We took a sailing trip which was organized through the owner and it was fabulous. 5 stars and will definitely return again!

This was my fourth time at BBI and it was as exellent as the previous ones. The food was fantastic! Try the corn bread! The best corn bread ever! The accommodations were beyond perfect. Everything clean, organized, and ready! They go above and beyond to accomodate our needs. I will be back again for sure!

The inn was beautiful Exceptionally clean and very comfortable bed. When we arrived we were greated by Claudine the innkeeper and she was a delight. In the morning plenary of good hot coffee. The breakfast prepared by Dwaine n Claudine was absoulty amazzzzzing. Plus when we were leaving we got to meet Dwaine's dog. Such a swettie. We can't wait to go back.

Beautiful room, excellent amenities, we couldn't have been happier with our one night stay. The breakfast was outstanding, the host and wait staff were warm and friendly. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay! Room was very comfortable, grounds have lovely gardens and the front deck was ideal for sitting people watching both day and night. Fantastic location easy walking distance to marginal way, beach, shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff and the morning breakfast was fabulous. Can't wait to return!

Just left Blackboar Inn already a little sad… Wonderful people and excellent service the homey feel makes it easy to come back. We truely loved the whole experience. A delicious gourmet breakfast, warm smile and hot coffe every morning.

Wonderful location for a spring getaway. Good food, lovely people, great room. Just perfect! Within walking distance of the Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. Loved it!

We had a wonderful time when we visited in march. It was a very cold weekend, but Dwayne kept the fire going all weekend making it very cozy and charming in the sitting room. Breakfasts were wonderful, room extremely comfortable, and the host made us feel like visiting friends rather than paying guests. We will definitely be going back!

This is my second stay at the Black Boar Inn. It's a charming olde worlde kind of place, the inn and the rooms are delightfully well kept. The breakfast is phantastic and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
If you enjoy modern 'boutique style' hotels this place is probably not for you — those who like individuality will feel right at home.

The Black Boar Inn and its rooms were as advertised the place was warm and comfortable the host Wayne was a very wonderful host and took good care of us. Breakfast was amazing.

Last month while in New England for a Thanksgiving holiday extension, I stayed at this quaint inn where the accommodations were lovely, flexible and welcoming. I craved New England charm and got it at the Black Boar Inn! The innkeepers Dwain & James couldn't have been nicer. James is a wonderful cook and can whip up the most delicious breakfast making it look as simple as boiling water! Both men were funny, kind and likable making the stay with them enjoyable. I took my girlfriend here for a long weekend away. I didn't want the cookie cutter hotel/motel/resort room; this place was perfect! A great NE feel with exquisite breakfast! My girlfriend was surprised at my reaction to the food since I usually prefer to eat at home since I'm usually disappointed by restaurants etc. John and Dwain were more than accommodating and had great recommendations for things to do in the area. Going in early April turned out to be perfect, with a fire going in the family room when we returned from dinner — I recommend buying a bottle of wine and playing one of the many board games they have. The room (Littlefield) was very comfortable, with soft sheets and plenty of room to spread out. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.
