First class staff that makes you feel welcomed. Can do crew that take pride in their jobs. Highly recommend a weekend there.

What an incredibly peaceful place to spend a weekend. I cannot say enough about the staff! Friendly and very happy. They make you feel like family. Look forward to coming back again and again.

Great spot, superb view, excellent food with gracious service!

Easily the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept in! The Inn was worth the journey to get there. Dining options, though limited, were delicious! The porch over looking the water was simply photo worthy. Spotless clean and charming. We especially enjoyed the bonfire. Bicycles are first come first serve and we didn’t have the chance to grab enough for our group, that was the only bummer.

Driver Haan and Ms Weck were OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES and VERY HELPFUL! We will be back very soon⚓️

Gorgeous Inn with the finest accoutrements, great friendly accommodating staff in the most stunning spot. The food was fabulous, loved riding bikes provided by the Inn & stopping at Doughty’s market buying hats & t-shirts. Also loved stopping by the historical society.

Just came by here for dinner and enjoyed the view! The food was ok but not great. Still, would come back just for the great location!

Here is the deal. (Bar / dinner review only) You aren't coming all this way for the service, therefore, keep that tucked away in the back of your mind.   Now, sit back, relax, strap it down and enjoy a mind blowing view (especially at sunset) and while you're at it sip on some tasty cocktails. As for dinner, apply the same reasoning. Fantastic biscuits. The butter poached lobster is worth swimming over from Cousins Island. What do they do to the french fries? Very original. Life is short.   Enjoy the ride.

Went on Sunday mid-afternoon after making a reservation on OpenTable. Upon arriving, we were told that there was a limited menu because we'd "just missed the kitchen". Why are there reservations available for these times on OpenTable if there is no staff available to cook anything? Begrudgingly, we ordered a couple of high-priced things off the "bites" menu. I wanted to leave because the server, Tyrone (name tag upside down for the entire visit; possibly all day? ), obviously felt put out by our arrival, but was talked out of it by the two people I was with. I was pleased to be validated by the fact that our water glasses weren't refilled once, on what was not exactly a cool day. This won't put me off returning (regular visitor), but it was a bad experience this time.

This Beautiful old Inn is a gem for sure. The setting, from the front of the building, is exquisite. The staff and service are quite good, as is the food. Sadly the gardens are not well cared for and the service area is a mess. The smell of the garbage sometimes lingers in the air around the main entryway to the Inn, and occasionally wafts up to the rooms. I like the comfortable rustic feel but some of the furniture is bordering on downright shabby. There is so much potential to make this a five star rating but I have only given it three. If you dont look too closely maybe you will give it a 5!

Great food, beautiful and relaxing setting, and the staff were very accommodating — they brought us extras like sunblock and a towel on request.

Beautiful island. Worth the $$ to get room with private bathroom. Thin walls and floors so you can hear a bit of whats going on with the neighbors. Good food!

When my wife floated the idea past me in the spring time I had some reservations about driving from Ithaca, NY to Portland, ME, taking a ferry to an island and staying for 3 nights with a 13 month old who has crappy food allergies. However those reservations melted away once we stepped off the ferry. The entire staff, from the bellmen to housekeeping to front desk to back office to restaurant hostess to wait staff were absolutely fan-fricken-tastic. It was such a pleasure meeting staff from other parts of the globe. It was just one more cog, in their wheel of awesome. Top to bottom, left to right, everyone went above and beyond to accommodate us, and our son Lucas. Thank you gang, we will be going back. Andrew, Lauren, and Lucas.

Hostess staff members were dumb. The food was way over priced and the restaurant was low level. Read the menu but it didn't taste like real food. The salad was wilted, a $28 lobster roll with only a claw in it. They charged me for desert but didn't serve it. Next time I go to Chebeague I'll pack a lunch in my purse.

I've never experienced such an ethnically diverse, universally kind staff. Everyone was genuinely happy to be working there which really enhances the already great experience. The Eggs Benedict is worth a ferry ride for by itself and the baked haddock was amazing. Great beers on tap and no shortage of cozy indoor nooks and lovely outdoor spots to enjoy them.

My wife and son had the Eggs Benedict with lobster (amazing! ). I had a fluffy Ham and cheese omelette and my daughter had a delicious sunny side up egg breakfast. Everything was prepared perfectly. The service is always friendly and attentive. Our waitress was from Romania and was so interesting to talk to.
The views are amazing from the screened in porch overlooking the 9 hole, 94 year old Great Chebeague Golf Course leading over the green grass to Casco Bay. The Inn has a warm and inviting atmosphere that beckons you to stay longer. The large great room has a gorgeous fire place and comfortable seating to sit and enjoy being with friends and family. After breakfast we ventured out to the huge covered porch and sat back and relaxed and took a deep breath of fresh sea air! It doesn't get any better!
Step back in time and enjoy being on an island for a spell. You will be glad you did!
