Called ahead to confirm pool, 2 days later on arrival, "OH, sorry, pool is being fixed and is not available. "
Then front desk staff are not very friendly, seemed completely put out when I asked for an extra towel.

We had a power outage for over 4 days and Fairfield inn let us stay with our 2 children and our dog. I got a great night's sleep, both nights and it was close to work so that helped. The rooms were clean, the staff was so friendly, and they were as accommodating as they could be during the COVID-19 crisis. Even with the renovations happening in all the rooms around us, the workers didn't start until around 8am, so we were still able to get sleep and they really weren't that loud anyway. My one and only complaint, (and I know it's a normal thing for hotels to do, I just dont agree) is that we paid a deposit for my dog, which I completely understand, but its non refundable. I feel like that money should be given back if there were no damages. But I am just so thankful they allowed us to stay. And we will definitely be back for another stay.

The place is kind of slow but very clean and nice. They are doing some renovations now.

We enjoy staying here as a family. We’ve stayed at many of the hotels in the area. However, since we found the Fairfield Inn by Marriott, we’ve not stayed any place else.
The friendly, accommodating and engaged staff interact with guests. You can sense their willing service hearts.
So very pleased. Would stay again.

It's in a nice location 5 minutes from downtown, there is a gas station right across the street, and a movie theater beside the hotel for entertainment. I got checked in quickly upon arriving and the staff members were very professional and polite. The room looked realy nice and was we'll kept and clean.

Clean rooms, and a great pool area. Really wish the gym was bigger, but happy I got to get some cardio in. *Edit* After spending the past 3 weeks here (Sun-Tues each week), I had a great experience. However, after this week, I don't think I'll be back. Fair is in town, so you guys went and jacked up prices and my room went from under $100/night, to over $200/night, and you refused to honor the corporate rate. So I ended up going across the street to the Ramada, and got a corporate rate better than what you guys had been giving me the past 3 weeks. Guess where I'll be going from now on.

Located by the airport, there was very little noise. Our king room was ample with the bathroom larger than average. The staff was attentive and available for questions. The morning breakfast was what travelers would expect. An overall enjoyable stay and will stay again if back in Bangor.

Nice place to get a good nights sleep very quiet on the third floor. The first floor smelled of dogs and one could hear them barking. Excellent breakfast had a variety bagels, waffles, yogurts and juicy grapefruit slices. Pool was superb with a small hot tub. Fast and easy checkin.

This hotel has great staff. Cleanliness is moderate but certainly not "yucky". I was dismayed that the smokers section is directly outside the front door. As a person on oxygen 24/7 this was invasive as I entered and exited the building. The room was a king size bed. It was a bit crowded but it worked since it was only me. They have a handicapped parking section. One of the spots was very close to an overhanging tree, and so close to the curb that I had a hard time exiting and entering my car and then to take out my oxygen was a challenge. As a balance, though, staff helped me in each and every way!

I stayed here on a Friday night, traveling from Conn. My room was clean and tidy. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. However, the refrigerator started whining (making a ringing sound) about midnight. The air conditioner also had issues, sounding like a raging storm. The hotel needs to work on sound proofing for the halls as well. I would not stay here again. Breakfast was average.

Staff was very friendly & helpful! Breakfast was tasty & I was delighted they had gluten free bakery options! Having coffee available 24-7 in the lobby was a treat. The pool was refreshing.

This place is amazing! Breakfast is free and tastes good. The pool is good too. They even have a hot tub! Comfy beds and lots of t. V. Channels aswell.

Room was very clean. Pool was clean. Great that it was open till 11 pm. Breakfast was a miss. No ice on first floor. Couldnt get any ice for coffee. But service at desk was great.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel they even have a whirlpool try to find one of those nowadays. Oh they have a sauna too. Went there to watch the Super Bowl. Great weekend.

Pretty great hotel for the price near the airport. They have complimentary breakfast, which was nice, clean rooms, and fairly comfortable beds. The windows make the room nice and bright! The doors however are quite ruin and you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways.

We came here for a romantic weekend without the kids. The hotel is full but it's not too noisy and the staff are very responsive. The bed is comfy and the rooms is nice. I'm glad we chose this place. Oh, and breakfast was excellent. Yumm.

Stopped there bed was comfortable and room was clean, tissue box in bathroom only had 5 tissues could've had an extra box under counter in bathroom or in living room otherwise enjoyed the stay, hand to the Ground Round down the street.

Here for a President's Day holiday weekend getaway. Nice enough hotel. Has a pool, whirlpool and sauna. Fitness center was just two machines and weights. The weekend we were there was a kids hockey tournament so getting breakfast in the morning was difficult. Food kept running out. Overall good hotel, although there was a little mold in the bathroom.

Great rooms, clean. Service was swell. Breakfast was well rounded for this type of hotel. Right next door to a movie theater and that found helpful.

Great stay room clean and friendly service with very reasonable prices. Hotel is quiet with comfortable beds and well maintained rooms. No it’s not a 5 star hotel however there is something to be said for simple and courteous staff that always says hi and wishes your good morning and a good evening always with a smile.

Had 2 rooms booked for 12-2-17. I didn't receive my early check-in on both rooms which I was told would not be a problem when I booked. Only 1 room was ready and we had 7 girls for a 40th birthday celebration trip. Didn't get my extra towels that I requested or the roll-a-way beds in both rooms that I requested. Only received 1 of the roll-a-way beds. They need to keep a better eye on the pool area! Kids jumping in and out of the pool, and food and drinks in the pool area! I would suggest a second waffle maker be put in for breakfast. That had a long line waiting for it. The girls at the desk were very nice. We did have a nice time but that is the reason for the low marks.

I got in late, but the service was very pleasant and professional. I was checked in, and on my way to my room within a couple minutes. Room was very clean and cozy. It worked just fine for my 2 night stay for work training.

Our Check in was perfect. Room requested was accommodated and immaculate. My husband after a long drive and an avid sports fan was disappointed that the TV was small and was not in High Definition. The rate was higher than we paid in Sturbridge, Mass at an award winning Comfort Inn. I must remember to avoid Fairfield Inns when traveling long distances in the future. Marie from MD.

Breakfast is a good variety but not heated well enough. The pool was not heated and a bit to cold on a cool night. Would have been nice if it were heated. The room was fine and hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned thoroughly.

Been to a lot of Marriots, this was my least favorite. Appears clean which is most important. They're very short hand on staff. No maid service to our room today and we were out of the room by 10am. I have a few other good complaints, won't recommend.

It's just ok, if you're looking for a location close to the airport that's reasonably quiet, then this is a great choice. Gas station across the street is open 24hrs for anything you may need or that quick fill up of the rental car early in the morning. Market is limited and breakfast is standard. Staff kind and rooms are on the older side with painted over stucco. However, the beds are nice and even the rooms close to the road are quiet. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Bangor.

I was in Bangor on Friday evening around 6pm and needed a room for the night. Stopped at this place and they had rooms availablbe but then when I presented them with a coupon from a coupon book, they said they couldn't accept it based on the "occupancy rate" when the still had over 20% of there rooms available. The coupon says nothing about that and only states that it's based on availability, which they obviously had, and I met every criteria stated on the coupon. So, they'd rather make $0 on an unoccupied room than to accept a coupon for $89 that is release by this hotel. VERY poor business practice. Even cheked several bookings sites online and none wer3 showing low room availabilty. Tried calling there customwr service line to discuss, first call they hung up on adcising me thet were transferring me to care rep, second call waited on hold 30 mins then gave up. So I went across the street to The Holiday Inn Express where they happily accepted their coupon, and I had a very nice room for the night. This experience would not leave me to ever recommend hotel to anyone. Not a good practice to have coupons and not hour and try to charge a much higher rate for room.

We've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but we have been Very disappointed with this stay. It appears that the hotel may be under new management as the service and rooms certainly are not what we remember from previous stays. The front desk staff are adequate, but that's about all that I can say for them. Our room is a bit cramped and I'm particularly unhappy with finding very dirty parts to the floor. It makes me cautious as to what else may appear clean but actually not be. The best thing that I can say for the complimentary breakfast is that it is still free. The breakfast lacked the variety that I have become accustomed to receiving at Fairfield Inns. I am at the lifetime platinum level in the Marriott rewards program, so you can see what level of experience I have with other Marriott hotels. We won't be staying at this Marriott property in the future.

Was just a wonderful stay. Friendly staff and the beds were very comfortable. Slept like a baby. Included was fitness room, pool, and my personal favorite was a Hot tub! Would highly recommend!

Night desk attendant on evening of Sept 6th took initiative to notice the room we had was 2 doubles and gave us a king instead. My husband's didn't notice what he had booked and she did and accommodated us into a king. Great customer service and pleasantly appreciative of her ability to take care of us.

Stayed four nights here while in the central Maine area. Rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. Bathroom and showers were high quality. The breakfast was subpar and the room was PACKED every day. We ended up elsewhere instead of fighting the crowds. Only thing keeping this place from top marks. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Great hotel overall. Nice amenities and an awesome sauna! Clean and up to date rooms. Unfortunately not accomodating for a long term stay that is traveling with family. But definetly a hotel I would recommend to friends family and co workers.

No frills hotel. For a quick overnight. Two fill beds not really big enough for two adults to sleep comfortably. Gangs of smokers outside the front door make for a very unpleasant first impression. The breakfast was decent, bit mobbed and the poor employees were having a real hard time keeping up.

Friendly service. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Pool. Hot tub. Proxy access only to anemities so very secure. Wide variety for continental breakfast. Later checkout (12:00). Also never havevtrouble booking a room and they let us in to use the pool/hot tub/sauna before the "check in" time. Also reasonable prices. Never a problem having hot water for showers.

Great staff, clean, quiet. Pool and hot tub are wonderful after traveling all day. Rooms are spacious and so comfortable. The hot breakfast is a wonderful companion to this amazing hotel. I will be back.

I have stayed at this property a couple of times now. This weekend my wife and I stayed as well as some friends. We were greeted with friendly smiles and the staff was very accomondating and informative. Our rooms were clean, the breakfast was plenty enough. Thank you to the staff, you made the stay pleasurable. I will certainly stay here again.

Great hotel. This is the hotel in the Bangor area that we make sure to stay at when traveling through. After driving so many hours, it's nice to stop here. The hotel is clean, and the beds are comfortable.

Great place to stay… but don't plan on huge beds! Only double beds are available here and for a family of 4 … that's a tight squeeze! I didn't know that there were only double beds until check in time (my fault), but since I had prepaid with points, I decided to stay. Unfortunately, the beds are way to small for 2 average sized people in each. Everything else is perfect, that's why I'm still giving a 4 star. Breakfast was great, the pool was great, the fitness area is great and the rooms are clean. But, just because the beds are double, with no available Queens, I won't be staying again.

I loved my stay there just wish there were two pools one for children one for adults.

One of the towels hard a hole worn into it and TV remote didn't work. But was clean and comfortable.

This hotel was the first impression I had of Maine. I lived here for 7 nights since I have recently moved to maine. The staff was amazing and made you feel like you matter. They even remember some guest names and great you by such. The rooms are small but the beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. The bathroom was a good size. Great size pool. Love there hot tub and the all day coffee.

Do not use for a group booking, lacks square footage in lobby and rooms. Rooms only have full size beds and lack space for a cot for a family of five. Entry door was sticking, so they left it propped open, when it was single degree temperature outside, making the lobby and breakfast areas chilly. One coffee station is located at the entryway and separate from the breakfast area. There attempts to cut corners and save $ is obvious.

It was very cold in oir room and the heat was not working. We asked 2 times for a blanket. After over 30 minutes we got finally a thin blanket.

Stayed twice in Nov 2011 and found it nice and clean, beds were excellent, breakfast was great, would recommend it to anyone.

Made a one night stop in Bangor and stayed here. Staff was nice but the rooms had little to offer. I do like it when the Book of Mormon is in the end table. I love reading aloud the ludicrous blather of ole Joe Smith. It was very crowded and I didn't have the patience to check out the pool area. The comp bfast was fine. I scooted out of town fast to more memorable areas of Maine. A hotel like this and Bangor in general seem to me nothing more than a quick stop for people going somewhere else.

Four of us shared a room during UMaine Orientation June, 2008. Check in was speedy (pre-registered on-line) ; room clean, very comfy. Staff was especially friendly. The pool was sparkling (although ubiquitous ill behaved children) and hot tub clean. Exercise room small but adequate. Check out took 1 minute. Higher cost justified by substantial breakfast, compared to the chinzy one at nearby Days Inn. We will choose this as our default location when in Orono.
