Room was fabulous and cozy, it was the second time we have been in the romantic suite together and I'd definitely do it again, love how it's on the 3rd floor and absolutely no one bothers you ✌️ Loved the heart shaped hot tub and the fire place was meet also, maybe we will try a different suite next time just to see something different.

Recently got rid of the Free Continental Breakfast service. beds are (absolutely horrible). I've slept on military Beds that were more comfortable than the ones this place is making their consumers use. I woke up with a Stiff neck, and a backache. I'd say go down the road to another location that has better accommodations.

We have been on the road for the past two weeks, spent each night at a different Best Western. This BestWestern is by far THE BEST. The drive out of the way is worth it. Hospitality was beyond, rooms are spotless And breakfast was the best. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

I love the BW White House. It is so charming. It reminds me of an English INN in many ways. We also teased that it was reminiscent of the hotel in The Shining! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the smaller side but elegant. Very nice detailing throughout. They also have a breakfast area, lounge, and game room. Outdoor heated pool and large indoor spa on site along with a well stocked hotel store. I wish we could find more great places like this! It’s a must for a New England vacation stay.
I am so impressed with this place! I came here for my daughters 11th birthday, we had 5 girls stay. The staff went above and beyond, I was worried because it didnt seem too family friendly but they were wonderful! We grilled burgers and hotdogs outside and swam in the outdoor pool, then we went to the spa, they had a blast! The next day the breakfast was AMAZING, best hotel breakfast have ever seen! Thank you so much!

We were very happy with our overnight stay. The room had a big flat screen tv, the bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean and the staff we encountered were all pleasant and welcoming. The continental breakfast was above and beyond expectations, many options and delicious food. We will definitely be back!

Very good value for the price, especially when compared to other hotels in the Bangor area. The room was very nice, well furnished, and had plenty of extras. It was decently modern and well kept. Service was fantastic and the hot breakfast was very welcome and pretty good.
Five stars! This best western has the best breakfast! The have an espresso machine, a variety of eggs, fresh yogurt, fruits and even pancakes! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. They have a whirlpool spa which is amazing.

The check-in staff at the Best Western White House Inn in Bangor are always so friendly. We love that our dog is welcome to stay. The outdoor pool appears to be heated. The indoor jacuzzi is large. Even has a lounge that could use some updated decor and more menu choices — but — it's quaint. The specialty rooms are really something special too!
This was our first time here and we got one of the jetted spa tub rooms for our honeymoon. We've had an amazing time! We loved the jetted tub, his and her sinks, huge walk in shower with 2 shower heads, the outdoor pool, the indoor hot tub, the fireplace and the hot and cold breakfast buffet had everything you could want and more. Chris at the front desk has the best personality and he made us want to come back. I had a problem with ordering pizza from Domino's and he called them right up on my behalf and took care of it! We also visited the lounge and asked Ali to make us a drink she'd never made before. She was very accommodating and did a great job… So much so that we both had 3 drinks instead of the 1 we went in there for! We will definitely be back!
We had a nice stay. Clean room, comfortable bed. Fresh cookies and lemon water were at the front desk upon arrival. Ordered food from a diner across the street, which was delivered. Great meal. Had a social drink in the lounge downstairs in the evening. Outdoor heated pool was nice and refreshing. Large hottub with waterfall. We enjoyed that too. The hot breakfast was as good as I've seen. 3 different types of eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, yogurt, various fruits, waffle and pancake maker, oatmeal, beans. Friendly staff, Mo recommended the diner and helped me with some pop. Thanks Mo. Highly recommend.
Clean, basic but nice hotel with caring staff. Indoor hot tub is spacious and nice. Swimming pool is outdoors (we had hoped it would be indoors but it was still nice). Nicely appointed overall, with relaxing sitting areas and a pleasant lobby. Excellent breakfast. It's obvious the proprietors care about offering a pleasant experience to their guests, and the presidential theming offered a nice educational opportunity for our kids.
We picked the White House Inn due to its convenient location on the 95 N. We stayed at this hotel many years ago during several trips up and down the East Coast. Our return this year was as good as it had been in previous years and the breakfast was great. It is a very cozy location with beautiful, antique furniture pieces throughout the site. A great value for anyone travelling the 95.

Great place to stay. Super easy access to the main highway. The breakfast was impressive for a free included meal. Fresh waffles, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, eggs and cheese omlet, biscuits and gray, bacon, sauage, cereal. Beds were very comfortable. The building is off the local road and there is a lighted sign with the hotel logo, but no arrow. At night, especially if you have never been there before, it's initially a bit confusing as to exactly where the hotel is, but fortunately it's not a long way off, so you relatively quickly realize where it's located.
Maybe it is time to consider updating your hotel. I do appreciate the history you are trying to display but everything about the room is drab and out dated. The bathroom is in desperate need of being brought up to date. On a positive note, breakfast is awesome!

The hotel was well kept staff were very helpful and responsive to the only issue we had the ac unit making a squeak. Had to trade rooms in the middle of the night the front desk clerk called the GM of the hotel and got us a discount for the inconvenience of it all. The themed suites were beautifully decorated the Lincoln Bedroom was impressive as was the Romantic suite. We look forward to our next stay.
We stay here to/from our Snowbird trek 'down south' and are always pleased. They have comfy beds and accommodate us traveling with our pet. And an excellent breakfast is included. Top rate!
This was my first stay here, and loved it. Very clean, staff was great and friendly. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the breakfast was amazing. We will be back and it maybe in August then we can enjoy the outdoor pool too.
The only thing so far that I would suggest is that the hot tub stay open till 11pm and have whip cream for the waffles in the morning, Strawberries were great but whip cream would just top it off perfectly.
They messed up in booking my prepaid suite. We were given a different suite than expected and only found out when we opened the door to the suite. I immediately went back down the stairs to report it and I was so unhappy with the fact there was nothing they could do about it. The response was call them on tuesday. making the best of the situation the room we were given was ok if you enjoy lots of… Abe Lincoln… he stared at us from all angles.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. This hotel probably has the best breakfast that I have come across at any hotel/motel. The biggest thing was the staff from the front desk to housekeeping they were great. Friendly and always with a smile. That made the long trip a bit easier.

This place was a mixed bag. Very friendly staff — Kate, the bartender was awesome. Strong smell, like an old folks' home, especially in the common areas. Room was cleanish. Stained furniture and torn black out curtain. Nice tv, good pillows. Weird, very loud, noises in the floor when we checked in. Breakfast was tasty. Great, old school vibe. Would probably stay again, if not for the smell.

Amazing rooms, good breakfast, polite servers in lounge "Barbie" is the best. One guy at the front counter was not a nice person and accused me of losing my own items. He then four said item in house keepers cart and never apologized.
We've stayed in hundreds of hotels all across America. No one has a better dedicated walking area for dogs. A good walk for us people as well. 4 out 5 stars from our Shepherd, the fifth star because they mostly get everything else right as well. Wish they had HBO but not a real issue.
Best breakfast I've ever had at a motel; huge selection. Our room was on the third floor under the eaves, so it was a little smaller, but overall, was clean and in good shape. Very unique hotel and decor.
One of the best hotels in all of Bangor. The lobby welcomes you with many pieces of Presidential pieces and Americana, and by the front desk staff with smiles. You'll be taken care immediately and they can give you many dinner recommendations. The rooms are immaculate and clean, well furnished and each has everything you need. The bathrooms are some of the best around. The hot tub is awesome! Large and set with a cool waterfall. The breakfast is phenomenal and kept very clean.
Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable. We loved the skylight, and the hall of first ladies. Shower was nice with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Staff was friendly and informative. We didn't happen to eat the free breakfast because we had other plans, but it looked very good.
Everything about the hotel was outstanding except for the cigarette smoke smell in the room. Totally not good especially for people with allergies or asthma. Manager moved us to different room but smell was the same. Everyone was great. Breakfast buffet is outstanding. Room was immaculate. Housekeeping does a superior job in keeping the room clean, neat, and tidy. Could only spray the "smell good" to try to cover up the smoke smell. We loved everything about the property except for the smell.
Beautiful Bangor Maine, Stayed at the white House Best Western, it was convenient to town and a good jumping off point to see Bar Harbor and Portland Maine. The staff was so nice and helped in anything you needed. Hot breakfast every morning and a great staff. Out door pool and a hot tub, along with an on sight bar/lounge on sight. Dogs allowed and plenty of area to walk your pup.
The hotel is themed after its name (White House). While the decorations may feel dates, the hotel is kept in pristine condition and the rooms are standard BW format. The hotel is usually empty and the breakfast room is big. Hotel has pet friendly rooms in one of its"wings". Good for overnight stays. Specially if you get a chance to visit the Bangor Drive-in close to it.
This place has a hidden gem. The bar that's downstairs is awesome and I feel more people should know. I get its for the people who stay at the hotel but locals who love quiet but simple conversation will find this place to be just what they want. On a side note it reminds me of a funeral home but who cares when your drunk. Haha.

Was in bangor for a cosmetology test, two weeks ago, today my mother was called and charged 200 dollars for smoke damage and fumigation costs. After being told explicitly not to smoke in the rooms I was adamant in following said orders to a key only to be robbed and harassed by an unnamed person (Literally refused to give me a name) and also they refuse to negotiate what so ever and with no actual proof other than claiming an odor. Dont get me started on the "continental" breakfast.
These are the most accomidating people I have met on the road in a long long time.

RespondOn a business trip from Seacoast NH to Mount Desert Island someone reccomended their accomodations. My reservation was missing but the desk clerk quickly called the other Best Western in town to make sure there was no confusion, and then promptly booked me into a second floor room. They provided suggestions on several local options for a quick bite as well. Found the room to be clean and comfortable, witrh free Wi-Fi that was easy to access. It was a quiet night, despite its promximity to busy Route 95. In the morning I found their continental breakfast to be generous with egg, sausage, juice, yogurt, waffles, cereal and coffee in a buffet style setting and plenty of room in the dining room. Only complaint the flat screen television was tuned to the hyprocondriac channel, ummm I mean Weather Channel. Would have preferred starting the day with news and sports during baseball playoffs instead of hearing about storms in southeast and California. I travel several nights each month and would definitely return if I found myself needing to stay within an hours shot of Bar Harbor or Two hours from Houlton.

Gentleman was rude and unaccommodating. I am a truck driver who has stayed there many times in the past. I drove over 2 1/2 hours from the Canadian border to the motel and went to check in. I found that my license was left at the Canadian border. The front desk was not willing to let me rent a room even using cash. They forced me, a 75 year old, to sleep in the truck. They didn’t even want to check the records for my past stays to get the ID. They didn’t care about using a credit card with a different name on it from the company but needed my license. No flexibility and were extremely rude! Never stay there again!
