Great stay at this Quality Inn. Picked it based on price and location (was going to Montville for work, about 25 minutes). The location is great-easy on/off 95 but off the highway enough so it's very quiet. Everywhere I went on the property was exceptionally clean, including the always difficult breakfast area. Speaking of the breakfast area, the staff members overseeing it were both efficient and friendly (always offering assistance). The room was laid out well. Love all the desktop area. Also great to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The bed was very comfortable. What may have stood out most was the staff member at the desk. Of course he was efficient, but really fun to talk with whenever went by. Offered suggestions of things to do in the area (just didn't have time, but sounded good). Can't remember if his name was Jeffrey or Jeremy (I'm a bit self absorbed) but appreciate him. Nonetheless, if I come back to the region I'm sure I'll come back to the Quality Inn Old Saybrook.

The hotel is fine for a couple nights. Pros: Front desk is very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is super close to the Essex train. The bed is super comfy and the breakfast is fantastic! Many breakfast options and the food is cooked fresh! Eggs were awesome (didn't try the sausage but looked great). Cons: A bit outdated and it didn't look like the cleaning staff cleaned our room when we returned from our outing except that the bed was made. Bathroom floor still seemed dirty. As there aren't a lot of hotel options in the area, if we're around again we may stay again.

Service was good. Gym needed more equipment. Microwave didn't work. Queen bed feel more like a regular.

Recently renovated rooms and friendly staff. Little out of the way bit still easy to reach downtown.

Hotel is clean, spacious and well run. Jimmy the front desk manager is exceptional. I will be staying there again!

We have stayed there in the past, it is always clean and well-kept. The bar and and restaurant downstairs is a nice place to unwind and do karaoke on the weekends. I just had to call in and ask some questions and the lady at the front desk was so helpful.

Love the pool, you can't find one 8ft deep anymore. Rooms clean, comfortable and quiet. I'll stay again.

Rooms were clean. Our bed was as hard as thr floor. When I asked to change at 3am because we could not sleep. All I got was attitude.

REALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE! Stayed here for a 5 day conference I attended in the area. Folks were awesome! Friendly and accomadating. Place was quiet and I rested well, which was good since the conference was intense. Will stay here again next time.

Superb rooms, spacious, comfortable and clean. Good Pool and gym facility. Lovely friendly helpful staff and a decent breakfast too.

What an amazing place to stay. Nice indoor salt water heated pool and lots of choices for breakfast. Linda was great in the breakfast room. Very large rooms and they were clean and smelled great. Lots of parking. The GM checked me in and what a friendly guy. Very helpful with places to visit in the area. Can't wait to visit again.

Mattress was old and sunk into the middle, the room smelled a little musty. The place has an indoor pool which is cool but the elevators were tiny and the place kind of needs to be remodeled. It reminded me of an old holiday inn.

Very Nice staff. Rooms were clean, a bit old. Beds were ok, on the lumpy side.

Our client and friend Ron Herron recently stayed here while on tour and was very happy to report such a wonderful stay! The room was excellent and the staff was top-notch and very accommodating to the late night check in. There's a restaurant on site with a bar which is great for not having to try and find food before the gig, and a free breakfast in the morning to make it real easy to get back on the road the next day!

The hotel was very friendly and comfortable. We slept very I’m comfy beds in a quiet room, and enjoyed a fun and hearty breakfast. We were near the sights of old Saybrook which I enjoyed. We were near the Ivoryton Playhouse which was fantastic.

Comfort Cafe is a quaint little Bar, a distraction from the monotony of the day, where fun is always to be had, and certainly a worthwhile place to check out at night while you stay at the Quality Inn.

Very nice room, breakfast, and pool. Close to several attractions. The concierge was very helpful and informative.

Surprisingly well taken care of/recently renovated. Getting to the building is tricky and with the lobby being in the back everything feels off but it is a fine hotel and the staff has always been friendly.

This was my first time to Connecticut, I was concerned about booking lodging without knowing anything about it. Was I pleasantly surprised! The staff was welcoming, booking was extremely easy,, clean, clean, clean.

I recently stayed overnight with my 3 kids. The room I stayed in had 2 king beds and plenty of room but I could not get past the smell. It was very musty/mildew smelling. Thankfully we did not spend a lot of time in the room. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool but again this room also had a very strong smell. The front desk help were nice and friendly and the kitchen help were pleasant to deal with as well. Only reason I stayed was because the location was 5 minutes from family.

Disgusting. Under the bed, furniture are very dusty. Spider webs. Underneath couch cushions is popcorn, dust, dirt. Wont stay here again but staff is friendly.

Good for a quick stay. Big room, nothing to fancy. Nice saltwater pool.

STAFF, STAFF, STAFF — AWESOME! Ricky and Lei are the front desk representatives. Their upbeat personalities and helpfulness on the phone is what caused me choose this place over another hotel I was going to book. Then, when I met them in person, I couldn't believe how genuine and friendly they were. Even my 75 year old Mom kept saying, WOW there should be more people like Ricky and Lei. So, I do hope the manager sees this and acknowledges what a great team he has. ALSO, Linda was the breakfast hostess and she was on top of directing people and making sure everyone was happy and accommodated with their breakfast needs. I had two king beds and our room was very clean and comfortable. And, the fact it is right off the freeway, even better! I will definitely be back! Until then… keep up the good work!

Very pleased with this hotel. After coming in without reservation at 11 pm with two kids, they were so helpful and friendly! I would recommend this to anyone. Close by town, free breakfast, clean rooms, and comfy beds!

This hotel is right off of the highway and quiet. The front desk staff was fantastic! Room was good size with two king beds. The free breakfast was pretty decent. Will stay here again!

Loved the king beds. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend. Easy access from highway.

A good mid grade hotwl but a bit dated and the old heating systems are very loud.

The room was ready right when it was supposed to be. It was clean and comfortable.

Decent sized room. Staffing very helpful, especially at breakfast. Kept food stocked even though it was very crowded. Pool good size but needs an update. Clean. Will go back next year.

Rooms had a musty odor. Pool was clean, but the area around the pool was not. Paint peeling off the siding. Breakfast was good but typical for "free. "

The Quality Inn is a great place to stay for the comfort and affordability. Free breakfast and free Wi-Fi are great perks, as well as a nice flat screen TV, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. You can depend on the value of Quality Inn. This location is close to the Mohegan Sun Casino, numerous museums, and parks! Joe the general manager was very nice and dedicated to making your stay a great one. Enjoy the pool or fitness room if that's your thing too! Location is convenient to I-95. Its clean, comfortable, and convenient at a great price. I recommend staying here when in or near Old Saybrook, CT.

The standard I expect from Quality in was met once again. They almost never disappoint me and last night was no exception. The beds were comfortable and I felt really at home in the rooms. Warm colors, wonderful stay, peace and quite.

I had a great time at the Quality Inn. The hospitality was top notch. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The property was clean and the rooms were modern and comfy. The Wi Fi was super fast and the breakfast was really good. This hotel was priced right and located close to i-95 and a lot of entertainment venues like Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area on business or pleasure.

After driving for 9 hours I was very relieved that upon entering the Hotel I was acknowledged an greeted. The Service representative had a great attitude. My reservation was found right away and she expeditiously got me checked in. The hotel had a warm vibe to it and the room was very spacious. I appreciated the quite atmosphere which allowed me to get plenty of rest. There was even a room with washing machines for public use. This saved me a trip to the laudrymat and gave me the chance to leave for my next destination with a suitcase of fresh items.

I Had a really good time staying here. My plans were to stay at Mohegan, but it was over priced because of Valentine Day weekend. Found the Quality Inn, checked into the front desk and he Was Most pleasant and helpful. The complementary Breakfast was great the staff was great. And we had fun at the Restaurant connected to the hotel. I ended up going to the Casino once the three days I stayed at Quality Inn. Now that definitely says a lot! Thanks again Guys.

I stay all over the US for business, I went to the Quality Inn over a weekend and was trapped there during a blizzard. The staff and the management went above and beyond in my eyes to make sure that all the guests were taken care of. They offered free snacks and drinks to everyone since no one could get out to eat. The rooms are so clean, the price is perfect and so easy to get to off the highway. I will be back in the summer for sure since this town looked so quaint and right on the shore. Keep up the good work people at the Quality Inn.

Absolutely loved this place. Great location, close to the hwy and downtown. Modern Inn in a quant town. Great staff. DYI laundry service was very timely as I was on my two days off of a 10 tour. I would recommend this place and stay there again.
