The place was nice. OCS Pre Graduation ceremony. Food was fantastic along with the friendly staff.

DO NOT stay at the Wyndham Newport. It is a glorified Motel. From the moment we pulled in, we were greeted by unwelcoming staff. They were clearly uninterested in us as we were a single couple rather than a wedding party. The bellman did not greet us nor offered to assist us. We checked in got our keys. Our view was a parking lot. The hotel was noisy. We requested a room change. Rather asking us what was going on, the receptionist irritably remarked with rolling her eyes, “why? ” When we explained, she told us “too bad, the place is booked with two wedding parties. ” The floor continued to be noisy, we rang down and mentioned it. After several attempts to rectify the situation, we asked for a refund and told, “no you already paid but you can leave if you want. ” The customer service was beyond horrible, parts of the room were dirty, there was no shower curtain nor door on the shower, the walls were paper thin as were the ceilings as you could hear everything next to you and above you. Way overpriced, horrible customer service. Save your money and headaches by going elsewhere!

I got married here on 7/27/19 and spent 3 nights here at the hotel. I cannot say enough about how accommodating all the staff was. Firstly, we were greeted by the bellman Emilio who was amazingly helpful and took time to find somewhere cool to put all the favors (they had chocolate in them). He went above and beyond helping us carry a ton of stuff from the car to wherever we wanted. Secondly, Nicole the headwaitress was extremely helpful and sweet during the reception, getting us anything needed and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about. Lastly, Chelsea our wedding coordinator was just the sweetest, calming, organized person we could have ever asked for to help us during every step of the wedding process. She took away any anxiety a wedding might bring, and our wedding would not have been the same without her! The service at all the bars, the housekeepers, waiters, were exceptional!

Attended my nephews wedding at the hotel on July 19. The venue was comfortable and spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff. Was very friendly and amazingly helpful.

Initially had a great experience (May 2018). Went back again and was given a room right across from the ice machine. Then was charged additional fees that I was not expecting or informed of. When I called to question these charges I was informed that these fees were for "hotel amenities" which they stated consisted of "the pool and parking". Interestingly, the website notes "free parking" which does not seem correct as I was charged for this. As a Choice Hotel preferred member I would have preferred to be aware of these additional charges beforehand instead of having them deducted from my card after I had checked out. It's disappointing given how pretty the hotel is.

Extremely nice rooms. The rooms are very nicely done, and the hardware such as the locks and sliding bathroom door add a premium feel to the hotel. The hotel feels so much modern inside, and includes usb plugs inside the socket. The lighting is very nice in the room and gives options to what level of lighting you want your took to be at.

Clean modern hotel. Everyone was really nice. My only complaint is that our room wasn't ready when we showed up (which was 15 minutes after the standard check-in time). So we had to wait another 30 minutes.

Workout room is small but workable. Rooms decent. Recommend chicken & mushroom egg white omlet breakfast! Delicious.

This is a great replacement from the Hyatt Regency that used to be in Newport. The Cambria is modern, quiet, and has great views of Easton Beach atop the grassy knoll and newly built patio. They also offer in town shuttle bus service on call on the hour. Also it's the first time I've ever booked a room with 2 king size beds without it being a suite. Great place and will certainly be coming back again.

Booked a last minute weekend getaway here because the price was better than most of the competition, despite it being a little further out from downtown Newport which we didn't mind. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. Nice wood floors, a nice glass stand up shower, big vanity, comfortable bed. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the indoor bar is open till 1am on Saturdays which is a nice thing to have. Our only complaints were that the pillows while c…omfortable, were a bit too soft which left both of us with slight neck cramping, the TV remote was considerably dirty and could've easily been cleaned by housekeeping, and when housekeeping came after our first night they turned the heat up all the way to 83 so after coming back to the hotel after being out on the water and walking around in 95 degree heat our room was sweltering. With all being said, I will absolutely look to stay here the next time I'm in Newport.

Very nice place but you can hear everything in your room.

It's a beautiful hotel with seemingly all the amenities. My only complaints were that some of the lights in our room didn't work, there's no hot tub and the door didn't block out noise from the hallway as well as it should have.

Nice, modern hotel right in between Newport and Middletown. I give it a 4 rating because they charged us twice and said they didn't see it on their system so we had to open a dispute with our bank which was super inconvenient as we came in from Vietnam… still working on the dispute… but nice hotel overall.

What a beautiful hotel! — why spend gobs of money to stay in Newport if you're just going to be leaving your room and touring around the area? This hotel has everything you need — great food, amazing staff, phenomenal service! So here's the other thing: the design of the room is beautiful as each room has a nice juxtaposition of light and texture. As soon as I put my suitcase down, I could feel the ambiance of the room. The photographs throughout the hotel are also beautiful (and of Newport and the surrounding area). — Pick this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Table was ready for us right on time for our mothers day reservation and everyone was friendly which was grear. But I was quite frustrated after having our drink order taken, I had already finished eating my plate and had to ask 2 more times to even get my first cup of coffee 30min in. My 8yr old was almost handed a mimosa instead of her juice, and the buffet table wasn't kept up on. And then to see that an automatic 20percent gratuity was added to the bill when the service could've been better. Hopefully they up their staff or training for their next one.

We have stayed here every time we come to see my daughter at NAPS! Very close to base and beautiful! Rooms are spacious and love that they have king beds.

Very disappointed in the Easter brunch today, Food was great, waited a while just to sit down. Was told to go to lobby, waited in that line and finally they told us to go back to the other part and check in! Went there (mind you we had a large party with kids) waited again bought drinks at bar, Finally sat down with 2 different tables. We didn't even get to sit all together with my grandkids, line was soo long for food
Very disorganized this year! Too many people crowded in! I hope things get better especially when I paid over 400.00 Servers did the best they could do they were great, when everyone was on top of each other P. S. Should have a kid friendly menu

Went here for a wedding this past weekend was a beautiful venue with fantastic service. Would return without question if I were staying in the area again. Clean spacious rooms with very comfortable beds.

I love this hotel. These are the best rooms that I have seen offered at these rates. They are extremely clean and the service that I have received is excellent. Only downside was the noise from rowdy guest yelling in the hall on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Seriously, people, have some courtesy. There was a drunk lady arguing with her boyfriend on Saturday and Guys talking excitedly on Sunday and even yelled goodnight down the hall. On week days, it's pretty quiet (I checked in Wednesday night and check out the following Monday). If the hotel controlled the noise, I would rate it a 5 star. Also, I saw a comment about the water pressure. I thought that I had low water pressure in the shower, until I realized that the shower has a setting for pressure. If you move the switch from "On" closer to "Off", the water pressure increases. You'll understand when you see it.

We recently stayed at Cambria Hotel and Suites. When we arrived, our room was not ready. (we arrived almost 20 minutes after 3 pm check-in time). We were given another room, same as the room type we booked. (2 king bed suite). The rooms are immaculate! Mattresses are great! Just one complaint about the beds: The corners of the bed frame are very sharp. I walked into one and had a big bump and cut on my leg as a result of that. The lighting in the room was not good. If you like to read at night, it is almost impossible! Lastly, the bathroom has no privacy at all. The door is a frosted sliding door that does not close completely. You can see right into the bathroom if you walk by it to go to the room door. All in all, aside from the above, we enjoyed our stay at Cambria and would definitely stay there again!

My wedding was at the Atlantic Resort 11.19. To say it was perfect is an understatement, it was completely flawless, from the beginning to the end it was absolutely everything I wanted. The appetizers were delicious, the meal was amazing steak and fish cooked perfectly. I cant say enough wonderful things about this venue and staff. I highly recommend it.
