Had a great stay over night. Sudhir at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. If you need a clean room at a great price, this is definitely worth checking out.

Was not a great stay. The rooms are very close and you can hear all conversations in the room next to you. However the rooms are very clean and the location of the hotel is classy.

Sea Girt Lodge accommodated my partner and I tremendously! From the large comfortable bed, the easily accessible and very well kept pool. Our 1 night stay was very convenient for the trip to manasquan beach. Sudhir, the front desk attendant was extremely friendly and welcoming! My partner and are beyond pleased!

Boy friend and I stayed here for four days in early June. Place was clean, quiet and very relaxing. Splurge for the king bed, sooo worth the upgrade from two full size beds initially. Great place for families or couples. I hadn't been here for you in about ten years and was pleasantly surprised at everything, cleanliness, housekeeping, size of the king room, free breakfast. Waljing distance to restaurants, grocery and liquor store, pizza joint and upscale boutique shopping just up the road. GO!

Simple amenities, nothing fancy yet suited our needs. Location was important for where we needed to be and the area is charming and comfortable. Quiet, family oriented and met our desires ☮️⛵

If possible I would rate this place 0 stars. Their policies are terrible, the rooms are outdated, the beds might as well be concrete slabs and the bathrooms… let’s just say I would have been happier wiping with sandpaper while sitting on a cactus. For $80 a night I should have stayed at a big chain hotel. I strongly advise against staying here. It’s not worth it.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! They are terribly rude, disrespectful, and flat out mean.

Excellent experience, highly recommended hotel, Stayed 4 nights and I really enjoyed it, the owner is a good and honest man though I can't really remember his name, if I will be there again, I'll probably get back to that hotel.

Very nice room & clean… I did have a problem that they didn't have a microwave in the room but they did have microwave on the property which that made it a little better but I definitely would have preferred it being in the room cuz sometimes I might want to eat something and it's late at night I don't want to be going outside to another area just to heat up my food and I wasn't that crazy about in the office they asking me what brings me here I don't think it's any of their business so why I'm here I'm paying them the money it shouldn't be their business or what I do and here as long as I'm not doing anything illegal I just found that kind of odd that for him to ask what brings me here other than that it was a decent room I did have a pleasant stay.

This place was close to shopping and the beach. Clean and nice pool.

Older motel is convenient to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. It is clean and reasonably priced.

Just happened to book a last minute end of summer getaway and looked on Expedia for choices. Based on the pictures (off season pricing) and reviews we gave it a shot. Check in was quick, room was very clean, renovated and spacious. There was breakfast in the morning and a decent pool to cool off with. Definitely worth checking this place out.

The room was small but nice enough. Staff was fine. But could be slightly nicer. We had a good time and no problems.

Very clean and quiet been coming here for many years the only I have is the Wi-Fi is not that great otherwise it's a nice place to stay.

Clean, comfortable (but very small) rooms. Reasonable rate. Nice pool — it's in the parking lot, but you don't feel it when you're in the pool. No complaints.

I went down there for the beach for a mini vacation, two nights, and it was a good price considering the time. I also went down there because there was a concert I was going to the Monday after we checked out, but the only complaints I would have, is for the room that I had, a queen bed sjould have a bigger room, but it was alright. I've had bigger rooms for queen size beds, etc. The other thing concerns future upgrade their showers and their bathrooms. The door I had for the bathroom didn't lock, you could easily push it open (it didn't bother me too bad because I lock all the door behind me in any place that's not my own), but the shower itself wasn't high up enough, so the water came around the curve, and the water went onto the floor when you showered. Due to that, I had to put towels down to make sure it didn't get wet so you wouldn't slip. The showers are a bit small in general, two people it is hard, but managable. I'm not sure if it was because of the front room in the corner (that was my located room, ) if that was the reason why the shower small I'm not sure if the other rooms have the same issue, but even so some of the rooms if that's the case should have an update or upgrade of certain things. Overall, the experience was great, no problem with the staff, they were helpful, friendly, and received no problems. I was surprised considering I never stayed in a place near the shore.

Very strict but the staff is friendly. The ice machine room is ridiculously hot and there's no ice. Rooms are clean though.

Was a mess trying to reserve the room. Room was decent but the AC would not go below 70 and I can't sleep in 70 without a fan it is too hot. Told them that it was not working they said they would call someone and when I got back that night it was still not working. Talked to him the next morning and he said he does not know he wasn't there but I spoke to him. He has no idea what he is doing.

I stopped using Expedia because it keeps a large portion of the room rate for itself and typically earns me the worst room in the house. I arrive on location in person so that the business collects it's whole fee. So, I was surprised and annoyed to arrive at the Sea Girt Lodge at 11:45 PM after a 7 hour drive to be turned away from the establishment on the grounds that there were no rooms available. It was obvious to see that at least a dozen rooms had open curtains and no occupants. I asked the clerk if he expected me to believe he was anticipating more than a dozen reservations to arrive this night during the off season (because that is the excuse he gave). He mumbled some unintelligible response, then made no effort to conceal his annoyance when I asked for his recommendation of a comparable local establishment. The Sea Girt Lodge should be scuttled in exchange for a more amenable establishment.

Clean rooms. Management always nice and helpful. Minutes from the beach. Comfortable and prices can't be beat. Coming here for the last 17 years and still enjoy staying here.

The room was a King bed and a small room. Even though there was a small refrigerator there wasn't a microwave. The bathroom was large, however the floor was extremely slippery. The walk in shower was even more slippery. There was limited lighting in the bathroom and no vanity counter to place toiletries on. I would have recommended that the owners place another light above the mirror and put in a counter top with the sink. We could not control the temperature in the room. I believe it was preset. It did have have an overhead fan that helped. Seeing the rates posted on the back of the hotel door for peak season, I don't believe this would be my first choice in staying in this area. We were here on business and it was less than a mile from where we needed to be early on a Monday morning. Denise.

Wonderful hotel with incredibly nice management. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, staff super friendly and the amenities very convenient. It's a short drive to the beach and located near a lot of shopping, grocery stores and fantastic restaurants. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning in the future.

I got so frustrated because it was suppose to be a relaxing getaway with my boyfriend. When we got there to check-in, we saw a big situation going on between a customer and the hotel staff in the lobby. So far, not a big deal but I thought that was so unprofessional to argue in front of other customers. We tried to open the bedroom door and it seemed locked. We went back to the lobby to talk to the staff. I don't know if he was still pissed about the previous situation, but he worked off his anger on me and made me feel so dumb about the key. However, at 3 IN THE MORNING I couldn't sleep because another argue was happening with the staff and a customer AT MY ROOM DOOR! I could hear the staff losing control and disrespecting the customer, yelling at the lady. Really bad scene… Few minutes after that, I heard the cops coming, and the situation was still going on at my room door… Even though I was a little uncomfortable with all of that, we tried to relax and watch some TV and of course the TV didn't work. Shame on this hotel! 0 STARS FOR THEM!

I never write reviews, but compelled to let people know about this place. It is no more than a Motel 6 with a nice bedspread. We paid $185/nt on Fri and Sat. The beds are FIRM/hard, very uncomfortable. I could not fall asleep. The continental breakfast consisted of Sunny D, a sugary orange drink, not orange juiced, bagels and cold cereal. No hot items at all were provided, no yogurt. I mentioned to the attendant "For $185 a night, you could provide real orange juice. The breakfast area was really the check in area with only two tables. The carpet in the reception/check in area was filthy with many stains. The rate goes down to $103 on Sunday, but that is even too much for this place.

I just left this horrid place. Told the mgmt about tons ants in our room. They said they already had traps out and refused to move us. Woke up in bed literally covered in ants! It was disgusting and my stuff is full of them too. Hands down the most disgusting place I've ever been. Also I've never seen front desk staff who were so rude in my life. Wish I could give ZERO stars. Stay here at your own risk.

Stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. Understand that it is the holiday weekend, but we paid $220 a night for a mediocre shore hotel near strip malls. On top of that, the owner and the person working the front desk were incredibly unaccommodating and rude. After questioning a charge on the day we checked out, the owner told me that "I knew nothing and he knows everything. " I can't make that up. Needless to say, I will not be going back, nor would I recommend this hotel to any beach goer. Check out AirBnB, Homeaway, etc. Because you can find a better place for your money.

Definitely wouldn't stay here again. I travel to the area frequently (usually 2x/mo) for business as I have an office there, and usually stay in Bay Head, but our office and the place I stay was severely impacted by Sandy. Our temp office space is down the road from here so I figured I'd try it, since most of the bigger chains were booked for displaced residents and volunteers, and the B&Bs were all closed due to impacts from the storm. The rooms were shoebox tiny, the TV was an old style 19" with no way to change the brightness and the color was so dark I couldn't see anything. All the lights were bright white fluorescent — even the ones by the bed so reading a book and relaxing was out. The glare was awful from the harsh lights. And the worst part was the beds were so saggy and the mattresses so old that my back hurt for over a week after just 2 nights here. Even worse, I work online and couldn't get on the internet — it kept freezing and crashing (on ALL my devices so I know it wasn't just my computer) and the staff said sorry they had no idea what to do and they couldn't help me. I wound up having to run internet through my phone to be able to get any work done. I wouldn't recommend it. For a similar price (especially in the off season) you can stay at any number of the B&Bs in the area (as long as they are open — and most are again post-Sandy).

So I check in at this place with approximately 5-10 cars in the parking lot and was told that even though I had two rooms reserved (4 beds) for 7 people that I could leave. The woman (Blonde and heavy-set) was extremely rude telling me that I was trying to trick her and that the state law does not allow for more than 3 people per room even though there were 2 full size beds. Even after I told her that we were more than willing to cooperate and pay the extra money she continued to fight with me and tell me that I should take my business elsewhere. After arguing and spending $50 more for 2 people (State law, max 3 people/room? ), surrendering all of our licenses, and moving a few cars around to an off site area, we were finally able to enjoy our time there. Rooms were not bad, minus the rotten odor/cigarette smell for non smoking rooms, various broken items, and dirty linens. I woke up the next day for the continental breakfast, would you believe that the lot was only half full (@7:30n AM) after the BS that she told me about there being a sold out place and our cars having to move off-site. All in All Management sucks so if you're looking for trouble at check in time this is the place to go. Check out was fine, the little old lady was great, I really wish she was there to begin with. BTW my final bill was $258 for NYE (2 rooms w/ 2 double beds).

My spouse and I just wanted a quick get-away near Spring Lake beaches and not too pricey. We took this thinking that it would be fair. It was clean and quiet and cool, and nothing went wrong. The pool was crystal clear and very refreshing after a day at the beach. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient to start the day. You get what you pay for, and this was as good as we could have hoped. We hope to repeat before the summer ends. All in all we were totally pleased.

Room OK. Bathroom iffy. Most importantly, the day manager is one of the most miserable cretins on planet Earth. Every interaction with this man was an unnecessary reminder of how, sometimes, the worst qualities of the human race can be found all within the spirit of one person. It was 100 degrees all weekend, and the fan on our air conditioner must not have been working, because there was no cold air blowing into the room despite being turned on. This clown brings a thermometer into the room and stuck it right up against the vent to show us that it was reading at 68 degrees. I don't know what this was supposed to prove, since the thermostat read 80. He said it was because we had the door open. But after being away from the room for 10 hours, with the AC on as low as possible, it had only lowered to 76. Every other room in the hotel that we visited had working AC. Later, he had to come plunge the toilet, due to a persistent drainage problem that should probably be remedied by some new capital expenditure, and the look on his face made me think that we interrupted his favorite mid-morning activity — probably mutilating small defenseless animals or something. I'm not saying you have to enjoy plunging toilets — but as a manager or part-owner of a motel, you should show some modicum of human decency during interactions with your guests. The website says that they specialize in weddings or reunions, which makes sense.
