Came here 6years ago. Good breakfast as I remembered， but they haved changed the rooms. We preferred a room and a living room.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Theres even free apple and orange juice 24/7 in the office building. Rooms are big and better than expected for something that seems a bit out of the way. Would highly recommend.

I think they are trying to make this a good place but it has some issues. It was pretty clean with some exceptions. One of those exceptions caused me to feel uneasy for our entire stay. The grounds are nice. It has an odd charm. The staff was helpful.

Less expensive, but service is not very good.

Room was clean and nice unfortunately no one at the desk knows what there doing on the computer, I left a night early because of this.

The location is quaint and the rooms are suitable for an overnight stay.

Last minute decision to stay overnight, a great sized room comfortable with a kitchenette and a full size love seat. It was a great stay would stay again.

Clean room and well stocked. Bed was uncomfortable in my room, but when visiting a friend several doors down their was distinctly different. Door was not hung properly, and you can hear most everything outside, but overall comfortable enough.

Stayed here because it was close to my folks for Thanksgiving. Clean, spacious rooms. Nothing special, but good for the price. Will be staying here again.

These people were super friendly when I made the reservation and were very nice about my having to cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival. I got very good vibes about this place and plan to stay there in the future.

For a 100 a night, the rooms are spacious and clean. Good place to spend the night.

Horrible experience. The staff are horrible and rude. Refused to give us a refund for the 4 nights we paid for. We were forced to stay in this awful place. The room smelled like curry and disgusting food. We requested to move rooms and the other room smelled like smoke. Finally moved to a third room (with 3 small children) and their were spiders and bugs all over the room. Found a TICK on my bed where I had just laid my baby. Left early and will never return. Disgusted by this place.

Very clean & comfortable rooms w/plenty of space & comfortable beds. Pleasant looking grounds w/picnic tables in back & nice landscaping. Kind & helpful owner at the desk who seemed to go out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again. Have always been pleased w/Red Roof Inns no matter where they are. Nice continental breakfast for the morning & coffee or juice available 24/7. A great deal for the price!

The red roof Inn was OK. The place is clean and the beds are nice. Breakfast wasn't that good though.

Not bad at all! Very spacious, modern, clean room, strong shower, and decent Wi-Fi for a bargain cost. Better than other Red Roof hotels I've stayed in!

Now the Red Roof plus Inn, the entire hotel has been newly renovated. The rooms are superb, and the new staff is truly accommodating. Excellent experience, would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed in many bare-bones hostels and realized it wouldn't be fancy, but when I was standing in the trailer-like office and the woman working there didn't apologize that she couldn't find my reservation, I knew I was not going to have a good experience. (She did eventually get me a room when I pulled up the email confirmation on my phone. If everything else in town hadn't been booked solid a month before, I would have gladly taken the opportunity to find somewhere else. ) The room was no better, with a stained couch, a lamp with a broken switch (we had to unplug it to turn it off), and a shower head that sprayed all over the bathroom. The sheets seemed clean, but it was one of those places where you really don't want to touch anything. I would truly advise you stay somewhere else. After having been to Guilford, I now know how close together the towns are, so if everything in town is booked, look for something in Madison or Branford. I felt compelled to write a review because I truly wasn't expecting this place to be so bad, and don't want others to make the same mistake.

Affordable, clean, quiet. I stay every summer. Its not the Ritz, but a clean comfy bed with a large living /dining area is all you need. Shocked by all the bad reviews.

We were very happy to be able to get a resi last minute as we were rained out of our campsite with two small children. While we were greatful to be able to get out of the rain, the hotel room was definitely not up to par especially with those two children. We walked in and the room smelled stale, old and had quite obviously had someone smoking tobacco in it. The sheets smelled, the curtains, the furniture and the carpets. We tried opening windows to ventilate the room however the windows had no screens and were too low and accesibble for the toddlers who could climb out-so we were trapped in the stale room and the A/c did not work either. Our kitchen sink did not drain at all making it impossible for us to use. The TV in the bedroom also did not work-it kept saying to connect the cable cord even though it was already connected. Since we checked in so late, I addressed the problems with the room upon checkout. The clerk told me there was nothing she could do about it and I had already been given a AAA discount. She definitely lacked in customer service knowledge and how to handle a situation like this and was borderline rude. I had to explain to her that her response should not be what she gave me but instead to apologize and say she would call the manager or owner. On the positive side-the continental breakfast was superb with lots of choices.
